I read this book on wattpad, as the author posted each chapter every week. I can’t get enough of these books, I love them to bits. This one was just as good as the others. I need another one.

Myrtle and Miles are completely overshadowed by constant investigating. Way too much sleuthing and not enough of life.

I really enjoyed this book. I love the Myrtle Clover series and despite the location being very different to normal it was just as good and the usual characters are all in it, even the gnomes hehe. I love the way Myrtle still gets across the fact that she is not happy with her meddling son, even when she is not at home. The characters are so much fun and at times very funny, I dare you not to laugh at least once. The mystery was good and it did keep you guessing but with all these books it is the interaction between the characters that make them so enjoyable and I can't wait to start the next book.
Myrtle, Miles and her family are on holiday board a cruise ship. Myrtle expected the most fun she would have would be entertaining her toddler grandson, looking for a wifi connection so she can send her photographs and article in to the newspaper and hunting for bears. She never expected to get tangled in a murder investigation when one of the passengers gets murdered but that is exactly what happens. With the ship's security personal down with a bug it is up to Red to investigate, with a little bit of help from his mum Myrtle and her friend Miles. The lady was traveling with her whole family so there are plenty of suspects to question and with her changing her will while she was on board the ship plenty of motives. Wonda the psychic back home warned Myrtle before she left to be careful her life was in danger, will Myrtle listen or will investigating another murder in such close quarters put her life in danger once again? And just how desperate is the killer to get away with murder? Is one body enough or will more have to die?
I liked the narrator , the author has tried out a few narrators in the process of finding the right voice for myrtle and her friends and I think this narrator is my favourite.

This was just an okay one for me. I'm not sure if my reading tastes have changed since the last time I read a Myrtle Clover mystery (since it was a couple of years ago) or if like some of the reviews said, this is just not as strong as others in the series. It could be both. And I was hoping it would be refreshing since it took place in a new location.
I just didn't jive with this one and I am not sure why. I still finished it since it was for a challenge and it wasn't as off-putting as others I have DNFed in the past. Honestly I think what got to me in this one, and it's super petty, is Myrtle's continued distaste for other's reading choices if they differ from her. She was a former English teacher; frankly, she should just be happy people are reading even if they're not the 'classics'.
Unsure if I'll pick up the next one in this series because this one was so 'meh' for me.

More fun, the cruise aspect is interesting and offers a nice change. Always enjoy Wanda's and Pasha's appearances, limited in this installment but still fun.. The suspects are tiresome and trivialized, no ship crew were used to provide real color. To some extent this tale lacks the interesting personalities to make it truly engaging.

As usual, I loved my main characters. However, this situation was a bit more contrived so the plot kindof fell for me. The best part was the dating advice from an octogenarian who hadn't dated in half a century was pretty funny.

I took this cruise myself and the book brought back find memories. I was sad that I caught up in the series, it is so hard finding one that is worth while. The books clip along and I can't wait for the next one.
Some people on here write reviews saying the main character is annoying or the sub characters and quirky and unbelievable. Yeah, that's what makes it fun.
I really enjoy this series but may have to deny it in public around literary male friends.

When Myrtle Clover’s son and his family go on a cruise, the invite Myrtle and her best friend Miles to go along. A nice cruise along the Alaskan coast seems like the perfect way to relax, see some amazing sights, and stuff themselves with salmon. But before they go on the trip, Myrtle receives a warning that she’s in danger on the trip, and not from a sinking ship.
Several days into the cruise, an acquaintance of Myrtle’s is found dead, and all things point to foul play. With the victim’s entire family and some friends on the cruise, and the growing revelation that the victim was quite the unpleasant person, there is no shortage of suspects. Once again, Myrtle takes up the case, much to the displeasure of her son, Red, and she begins to unravel the puzzle of what happened. But the warning of danger proves to be true. Can Myrtle survive this case, or will she be sleeping with the fishes in an Alaskan bay?
This mystery completely takes us out of Bradley, North Carolina, where all of the other books have been set. With some of the usual familiar characters, there is the sense of a Myrtle Clover mystery, but the setting is so different, and it is a nice change. The mystery was delightful, and I was surprised at who the killer was. This book was a joy to read, and it adds another mystery to this wonderful series.
If you enjoy the other Myrtle Clover Mystery books, then this one will add some spice to the series. With an entirely new setting, we are treated to a plethora of new experiences through the eyes of our sharp-tongued octogenarian sleuth. I wouldn’t recommend starting at this book, but if you’ve read some of the others, I think you will enjoy this one.

I hate to say that I was disappointed in this book as I really enjoy the Myrtle Clover series, having read all of the previous books. I doubt it had anything to do with it, but I like to get the audio version of these books as well and one was not available (yet?) for this book. I think I was disappointed was more because it was set on a cruise and not in Myrtle's neighborhood. Wanda, Erma, Puddin are all mentioned but there isn't the back and forth interaction that I look forward too. Maybe too, Myrtle seemed to get along so well with her son, Red. I like when Myrtle has misadventures in cooking and missed that here too. I picked out the murderer almost from the first murder itself, and I guess that was the biggest disappointment for me.

Myrtle is back again to stir things up on the high seas. She and her family along with Miles take an Alaskan cruise so the change of scenery is wonderful and adds lots to the story. There are plenty of interesting characters as they meet another group traveling on the cruise too. Cruising is one of my favorite things to do so I knew I would enjoy reading this installment but the story is good, it is exciting and interesting from beginning to end. I am also looking forward to seeing what Myrtle and the gamg will be up to next.

This is the first Myrtle Clover mystery I have rated under five stars. It was,shorter than other books in the series, and felt rushed in several key areas. The trip preparation, the land leg of the trip, and the wrap up could have been expanded for smoother flow. It was still good to have more of some of my favorite characters.
Another thing that bothered me was the cover. A poison drink and a deck chair didn't figure into the mystery at all, and Pasha the cat was not on the cruise so why have her on the cover?
So not my favorite but will keep reading the series.

Myrtle, Miles, Red and the family all go on a Alaskan cruise and of course someone dies. 😢 But it wasn't a accident or even a health issue it was... MURDER! 😮 Unable to help herself, Myrtle with her trusty sidekick, Miles investigates the crime and finds herself dodging fingers☝ as family members start pointing to each other as a killer. A hilarious 😆 action packed story that leaves you smiling 😃. (this pretty much made me believe that Myrtle and Miles are a couple. why else would Miles go on the cruise?) 😕

As I had expected this was a great book though honestly, I thought that some of the other books in the series were a wee bit better.
Never mind that. What could be better: Myrtle, Miles, and Murder on an Alaskan cruise. I've always wanted to take an Alaskan cruise, so it was fun to read about the actual cruise and not just the murder.
Speaking of the murder, it was a solid one with good clues.
If you love the series, you'll love this book.

Love Myrtle and Miles adventures
Elizabeth Spann Craig is an excellent author and I love the Myrtle Clover Mysteries series. This one was very interesting and enjoyable as you traveled along with Myrtle, Miles, Red, Elaine, and Jack as well as a host of new characters on the Alaskan cruise. Of course, there are two murders to
be solved and Red is the only police officer available to investigate, unless you count Mama.

Myrtle and Miles are joining Red, Elaine and their toddler, Jack, on an Alaska cruise. As Myrtle is finishing her packing for the cruise Wanda stops by to give her a warning "yer in danger, shouldn't go on the trip". When Myrtle asks for more Wanda only gives her "snow".

Murder on the high seas
As always, Murtle is hilarious. Elizabeth Spann Craig keeps this series fresh and enjoyable. I love Myrtle's relationship with Miles. They are an odd but choice. I love this series and look forward to the next book.

I love Myrtle Clover's sleuthing antics and this book did not disappoint. While being set in an entirely new location, she was able to pull off all her old charms (LOVED the gnomes-at-sea incorporation!) and save the day. Can't wait for the next one!

I was wondering how Myrtle was going to get garden gnomes n a cruise ship. She managed, after a fashion, and solved murders as well. A wonderful cozy!
