By this point hopefully you’re all familiar with the Belcher family – specifically the children . . .

Luckily they are pretty good at storytelling. Bob’s Burgers: Medium Rare features several tales by each of the kiddos.

Louise’s stories are full of adventure . . .

and include a trip into a mysterious tunnel discovered in the restaurant’s basement, to a Wonder Wharf ride that may just interrupt the time/space continuum, to the search for ingredients to make the perfect burger of the day . . .

Gene lets everyone in on his secret double-life, as well as retellings of a couple of classics like Genederella and a little story involving a trip through a crazy cat lady’s closet . . . .

There are even cameos by some superfan faves . . .

Which brings us to the most famous Belcher of all . . .

In case you don’t know, I might have a bit of an unhealthy relationship with the eldest Belcher child . . .

Tina’s erotic friend fictions include Tina utilizing a cloning machine that was invented for the science fair in order to make some back-up dancers for Jimmy Junior, Jungle Tina, Tina Bond and Tinablanca. Each of the above focus on the most important things in life . . .

Even though my kids would say I’m more like Linda – because of . . . .

REASONS.

I do have to admit as a mother I really appreciated "Linda's Attempt to Take a Nice Family Picture in Front of the Restaurant (and How it Always Goes Wrong)."

The art remained true to the television program and the variant covers were really something to write home about . . .

Especially when they pretty much are example of what your own home does look like.

My friend Brea turned me on to this little beauty sitting on NetGalley as a “Read Now” selection. I’m not much for reading e-versions of comics, but Bob’s Burgers definitely deserved to be an exception to the rule.

ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, NetGalley!

My daughter and I LOVE Bob's Burgers and I was excited to see this available for review. This is my first comic book review!

I am usually not a big fan of cartoons. Bob's Burgers is another story. The characters are so original and funny. These characters....they get me! I really feel like I know people that are so similar to some of them. As someone who isn't into a lot of comics or cartoons etc. I was honestly shocked at how much I enjoy the show. Fart jokes, butt jokes, terribly funny puns and so much more. Just silliness at it's finest.

I enjoyed all of the stories. "Burger of the day ideas" and "Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction" are tied for my favorite but I liked them all. "Bizarre Bazaar" was also really funny. The humor was the same as it is on the show and I could easily see it made in an upcoming episode for the TV series.
The Belcher family is so entertaining and I enjoyed the fact that each story highlighted the individual character and their oh so wonderful characteristics.

Great stories with very colorful and fun illustrations. A must have for any Bob's Burgers fan!
It was perfect for me for a bit of escapism after reading some very emotional books recently.

I don't normally use pictures in my reviews (because it takes me forever to figure it out). However I had to put one of my favorite pictures up......Tina's collection of Erotic Fan Fiction.

Now you could take a pop on over to my friend's review of this book.

Kelly is also a big fan of Bob's Burgers and her review is hilarious.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

These were wonderful ! Each issue, the art, the alternate covers (amazing!!!); and all of the stories and things they put in here are hilarious ! Gene’s Rhymey Rhymes are growing on me fast bc I loved the multiple part Genederella (Bob’s part !!! Haha ) and that they included the alley raccoons and so many of the other characters. They are always what makes B’s B so funny!
The pin up art is great ! This was such a good idea. I love the colors in Louise’s segment but each story or panel has so much charm and has the character in it, no matter what style they are done in.
Oh and Tina’s Erotic fan fictions crack me up too. Tina is hilarious. I love Linda most maybe.
I’m hooked. Highly recommended for B’sBurgers fans. I need to own them!!!
Personal jokes brought back so fans of episodes will look and go ha!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

My copy had 122 pages, but this is the only edition I can find here on Goodreads so far.

Super fun read for fans of the series. It's short little snippets of different things, so not really for people who aren't familiar with the show at all.

I think Bob's Burgers is a very underrated show, but thankfully it does have a cult following and the show has really lasted longer than I think most thought it would. The comic doesn't quite catch the exact "flavor" Bob's Burgers (see what I did there?) but it is still entertaining. It differs from the Simpsons comic in that while the Simpsons comic tries to recreate the show on paper as close as possible, this comic tries to take the characters in different directions. The art in the Simpsons comics looks almost just like the cartoon animation, the art in this comic looks very different for the most part.

Overall, it's still an entertaining comic, especially if you love the show as I much as I do. So if you can't get enough Bob's Burgers, it's worth your while to check out the graphic novels.

Once again, I really love the show but just don't feel that it works very well as a graphic novel, especially when every issue is split into three smaller stories. This time around they've started doing those stories in multiple parts [i.e. part 1 will be in one issue and part 2 in the next], but that kind of makes it worse somehow.

Genderella and the Fairy Bob Mother was pretty cute though. I've always loved how this series isn't afraid to play around with gender roles.

I didn’t even know this existed until today & I’m so happy I stumbled upon it. I had so much fun & it definitely retained the heart of the show. The alternating use of various art styles was incredible and the quality of the illustrations was my fav part of this without a doubt (well..and Gene’s Rhymey Rhymes That Could One Day Be Songs)

I don’t know what it is, but I have a fun time with these comics. I love the tv show and, for the most part, it feels like ok stepping right into an episode when reading this. All the stories feel like something their counterparts would come up with. I do wish that Bob and Linda showed up more even though I was surprised to see Bob have his own story this time around which was nice.

A collection of all-original comic book stories featuring the Belcher family from Bob’s Burgers!

So, I adore Bob’s Burgers (the TV show) and I’m pretty much convinced that Louise is my spirit animal. Having the opportunity to read this made me very happy. As it is advertised as being “from the producers, writers & animators of the hit animated show Bob’s Burgers” it is only natural to compare the book to the show, isn’t it? And usually books tend to be better than the movies, don’t they?
Well, not in this case.

“The Belcher family hijinks are guaranteed to make you laugh!”

Normally, yes. Now? Nope. There were a few things I just couldn’t get over. First of all the variety in art style in these stories. Some were just like the TV show, others were vastly different and mostly not very appealing to me. Secondly, the complete lack of humour and jokes. The stories weren’t really boring, but they weren’t as awesome as you would expect either.

There were some things I liked. Tina’s butt obsession is omnipresent. There are some crossovers like Bob’s Burgers & James Bond and Cinderella. But, my absolute favourite thing in the entire comic has to be the issue #4 variant cover by Frank Forte. I must have it as a poster on my wall.

Overall, though, it was a bit disappointing. Entertaining enough to escape the real world for a bit, and still very much recommended to every Bob’s Burgers fan. Just know what to expect.

This is an okay collection, but I'm a little disappointed. This book includes 5 issues.

Each character gets their own little segment per issue, which is kind of cool. Unfortunately, Bob and Linda's pieces were really small and kind of uninteresting. It's a shame because while Louise is my favorite character, part of what makes the show so hilarious is Bob and Linda's couple dynamic. I mean, it is called Bob's Burgers, not Bob's Kids' Burgers. I wish the focus was taken away from the kids a little bit and was more encompassing.

Tina's stories were hit and miss. Tina's awkward, obviously, that's part of what makes her hilarious. But it was a little too awkward. I got a few laughs, but overall I was left feeling "meh". Louise's were right in the middle. Hers were more action-themed and interesting, and because I like her more as a character, I was a little more forgiving. The best segments were surprisingly Gene's, which were written in rhyme and were absolutely fantastic.

The art was hit and miss as well. Some stories looked really nice, others looked disjointed and off.

Overall, it's worth a look through if you're a fan of the show, but I'd rather watch it. It loses some of the humor when you can't hear it in their voices and mannerisms.

I received a copy in exchange for my honest review. Bitches n Prose.

At the moment of writing, all I know from Bob's Burgers is still coming from the few comics that I read. I know, I will watch the show some time when I have more time.

While featuring the same parts that were in the previous comics, the one page entries were not in every issue this time. And that despite the fact that I liked these best. They also switched the idea a little from Bob's burger ideas to foodtrucks and Linda trying to take a nice family picture. "Louise's Unsolved Mysteries & Curious Curiosities," "Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction," and "Gene's Rhymey Rhymes That Could One Day Be Songs" remain largely the same.

Overall it was enjoyable but not very memorable. I like to read these between other books. One little problem I had with my review copy is that the quality of especially Gene's part was not very good, which made it sometimes hard to read the text. But I'm sure this will be changed in the final version.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I freaking love Bob's Burgers and so do my kids, we happily watch the same episodes over and over again.

Bob and Linda Belcher along with their crazy children Tina, Louise and Gene run their burger restaurant whilst coping with the usual family dramas like coping with a biker funeral or exposing a science teacher. It is a bit bonkers and I love it.

Medium Rare features lots of great stories such as Gene's attempts at musical numbers, Tina's erotic friend fiction plus cover art, Bob's fantasy burger truck, there is lots to enjoy.

I would say if you haven't seen the show, familiarise yourself with it before reading this little gem!

Ya guys, it's fucking magical. There are so many brilliant moments. I found myself stay up to finish it, and ended up cackling REALLY loudly at like three in the morning, almost waking up my mom who was visiting. How rare is it to find a graphic novel that shocks you into giggle fits? The show is fucking hilarious, that's a given, but it translates perfectly into this volume. Not only are there SO MANY BUTTS, but all they sci-fi adventures a geek could ever hope for. Plus, I can't talk about this volume without freaking out over my love for the realistic drawings of the family. Holy shit. I want them postered all over my house. FUCKING STUNNING.

So, I am a bit late to the Bob's Burgers game. I only watched the first episodes this year, within the last month really. I'm sad that I cannot watch on Netflix now that I finally have that, but from what I can see-it's a great show. I love the characters, and seeing as how my library only offers the books and not the show, I'm going with this.

This collection of extra stories (that came after the show, and not before, as comics are wont to do) is beauty-full, and the alternate covers had me wondering if the family is actually Latino. The internet tells me that they are not-rather some kind of Greek/Armenian/French polygot. Oh well.

I love that the characters are allowed to spin out into their own personalities, outside the shop, and that Tina fancies herself a sex symbol, Gene's singing dreams come true, and Louise gets more into science, and less of the mischief that I experience her making on the few episodes that I watched.

I look forward to reading the others in the series that will catch me up to my reading goal!

A fun extension of the TV show, yet not essential for fans. Although I love each of the Belcher kids and the special dynamic that each bring to the family, I was disappointed that there is so little of Bob and Linda here; this is understandable if the comic is aiming for a young audience. I didn't care much for Gene's somewhat forced rhymes, Louise's mysteries are fine, and Tina's entertaining stories allow for the most cleverness. It's a little jarring at first to see the characters drawn so differently, but I ended up really enjoying the different takes in the artwork.

Genederella and Bizarre Bizarre really saved the story aspect of this comic. I thought the other stories were just okay. I didn't like any of Tina's but all she talk about is butts and boys so that makes sense. I wanted more Bob and Linda, not just the kids. Louise could have been funnier and more prominent. Some of the art styles were ok to meh. I enjoyed the alternative covers and pinups added. I still want to read on to see if the stories get better in the next volume.

Really enjoyed the creativity and quality of these stories. They were extensions of the Bob's Burgers universe that remained true to the characters. My only quibble is that I'm not sure they were fully adjusted to the comic book format because there were a couple of spots where I had to triple-read a section to try to figure out what was happening. But overall would definitely recommend.

The funny doesn't stop in this second volume of the Bob's Burgers graphic series. Highly recommend to fans of Bob's Burgers, butt jokes, and well, I wanted to put another word or phrase that started with a b, but I'm tired, and I can't think of one, and you get the picture. It's stupid and fun. Enjoy it!

A very fun read! I could hear all their voices in my head as I read it and the stories were very much in line with the TV show - even if a little more off-kilter at times.

The one complaint I had is that some stories just stop in the middle and picked up again later or didn’t pick up again at all! I absolutely loved the Tina’s Erotic Friend Fiction stories, though!

In the first trade paper back all the illustrations were in the style of the TV show. In this one they varied. It also left Bob & Linda out almost completely. It's all about the kids. Still a fun read.

Absolutely loved this. Felt like an episode of the show where the kids share their stories, which were always some of my favourite episodes. This gave me the same comfort and joy the show does. I also love the different kinds of art throughout this and their interpretations.
