For the past six years, Quinn has looked forward to the day when she would finally have her revenge against the vampire who slaughtered her family. What she never expected is for that vampire to walk into Clint’s bar and unleash terror and death on her small desert town. With more people dying every day, Quinn realizes she must delve deeper into her power than she’s ever wanted or dared to before in order to save her loved ones.
As new enemies and allies arise and good friends are lost, Julian will do whatever it takes to keep Quinn from the clutches of the vampire who stalks and torments her. Even if it means becoming the vampire he once was and swore he’d never be again.

I enjoyed this second book of Fire and Ice. Julian is a great Hero and Quinn is a wonderful heroine. She's strong and independent and doesn't need Julian to take care of her. Julian is a great alpha hero. I'm looking forward to the next book and seeing them get their HEA :-)
My only complaint...and its small. Is that I wish there wouldn't have been soo much focus on Cassie's importance. Look...I know Cassie and powerful and that at one time Julian loved her - he has realized that it is only a friendship type love now and he is fully devoted to Quinn. BUT I wish that Julian would have been able to put the desire to rescue Quinn ahead of his fear of them capturing Cassie. I just wanted Julian to verbally say that Quinn was more important than Cassie's safety just once. The fact that he doesn't in no way makes me doubt his love for Quinn. It's just something that I wanted to hear....
i like how the story goes. I loved the appearance of Devon and Cassie, I really like the bond of friendship they relay. Even though i kinda missed Chris and I was not really expecting that asshole to be around and messed everyones lives. I was glad it didn't disspointed me.
So, in book 2 of this series, Quinn and Julian have established something of a relationship that just keeps getting deeper and definitely hotter the more you get into the book. But Quinn is also still running from her past full tilt. The vamp who killed her suddenly comes front and center and things start getting gritty in the little town she lives in. People start dying and some of them aren't staying dead. What's worse is that the vampire who killed Quinn can control minds, which can be particularly dangerous since he could get at their group through the humans hanging out with she and Julian. The things this vampire does to get at Quinn is very brutal and gory. And Julian can't help but be reminded of his brutal past. A past he tries to keep from returning, but it's hard at times not to let go and just return to the carnage he could wreak. Especially with Quinn threatened so. Soon enough she comes face to face with this vamp and things get ugly quick like. All I can say is that now it's officially in the open that they are mates, I have no idea how Julian held himself together walking such a razor's edge in some scenes. But it was a fabulous read and this is one great series! A 5 our of 5 stars!
Review by Whitney at The Club I received an ARC for an honest review
Omfg! That's all I've gotta say. Erica did it again. She held me by the balls (figuratively) throughout the entire story. Quinn and Julian's story continues with Twists, turns, flips, backstrokes, you name it, she made you feel it. I was on the edge of my seat as Quinn was hunted, Julian was on edge, and the threat to them increased. The man who made Quinn into what she is now is after her but making everyone she loves in her town in danger. They have to stop him before he hurts any more people she loves and before he gets his hands on her. The connection between Quinn and Julian is more powerful this time and you get to see them grow. I fell more in love with Julian and his intensity especially towards Quinn in this book. We are left hanging at the end and I can't wait to see what is left for them in the future.
Oh wow this one so awesome! It was truly hard to put down to work lol so happy Julian found his mate and she is a challenge and that's what he needs lol. I was so scared of all those powerful vampires that were killing people in her town but as you can see they are no match for Devon and Julian and Cassie and they friends. Oh and yes I'm on to the one
This book was fine. The pacing was a bit slow, and it just felt like more of the same from the first book. The character development is rather weak, especially for the side characters. I'll likely skip the third book in this series.
I really liked this book, I just don't know how they are going to stretch it into another one. I feel like the story may get a little out of hand. Erica.....I'm still waiting for my Chris book!
Kindle Edition 4 stars In the 2nd book of the series Julian & Quinn grow closer together. Julian explains to Quinn about what it means to be mates for vampires because Quinn is his mate. The vampire that killed Quinn continues to terrorize her & the town. He's able to control minds & took control of Zach's mind who killed Julian by staking him in the heart. Since Zach was a friend, their guard was down. Quinn loses it but as she's hugging Julian's dead body to her she remembers something Luther told her about her SoulMaster power. Suddenly instead of sucking the power out, she pushes power into Julian & he comes back to life, as much as a vampire can come back to "life". The group finally agrees to using Quinn as bait to lure the vampire who killed her out to them & to stop the town's innocent from being killed. Jeb, one of the ranch hands & friend of Quinn's, tells the group about the animals being slaughtered by "blurs" of movement too fast to see clearly on the surveillance videos. The group realizes the vampire that killed Quinn is making new vampires. In the meantime, Clint & Hawtie reveal to Julian that they are guardians & have been keeping Quinn safe over the years they've known each other. Julian & Chris head to the ranch while Quinn is at work one night. Quinn has Clint, Hawtie & Dani at the bar to watch over her. At the end of the night, Jeb stops by as they're closing the bar. Jeb, being under mind control shoots Hawtie in the chest & kills her. Quinn, with a bullet in her shoulder, jumps into action & brings Hawtie back to life but now her energy is drained. That is the moment the vampire who killed Quinn crashes into the bar with other vampires in tow. They kidnap Quinn. Julian is enraged. He will stop at nothing to find Quinn again. Devon & Cassie show up to help. They go back to the ranch to regroup. They finally find Quinn at an old, abandoned, luxury hotel. Earl, the vampire who killed her, has control of her mind. They have about 200 other vampires with them. Julian & Devon find Quinn & her captures in the ballroom. Clint, Luther, Lou, Chris, Melissa & Cassie hide in the 2nd floor balcony overlooking the ballroom. Devon & Julian begin to kill the vampires that fight them. Devon is able to break the mind control in Quinn & also now has control of Earl's mind. A big fight ensues & the group leaves with Earl & 2 other vampires as prisoners. The rest of the vampires are killed in the hotel as Cassie burns it to the ground. Julian & Quinn are relieved to be together again but Quinn still worries about other vampires coming after her because of the prophecy. Julian tells her not to worry, that he has a plan. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

"Erica Stevens, I Can't Wait For Scorched Fire Audiobook"
Erica Stevens, You DID IT RIGHT girl when you wrote "Arctic Fire." I cannot wait to listen to "Scorched Fire" the Last Novel of your "Fire and Ice Series." I was just sooo engulfed with the Many Turns, Mysteries, Surprises, you have for us throughout the novel. You kept me Captived with what was going to happen next and I was kept Surprised with What Would Happen Next Around the Corner the Next Time.
When Quinn finally had her opportunity to come face-to-face with the Vamp who took her family from her and turned her; how she reacted and then when Clint and Hotty shared with Quinn what they had to tell of their history. Then they told Julian their big surprises about him & his friends, Quinn was all turned inside. It all was coming at me from everywhere and I welcome them with open arms. I'm waiting on baited hands for Audible to release "Scorched Fire, the last Novel in the Fire & Ice Series." I know it's got to be coming out soon.
I wonder who they'll get to do the narration for that one. It's going to be really important that is someone who can handle all the characters because Nicole Blessing, she really took it there. I was so impressed with all the voices that she was able to manage, take over and ACCOMPLISH!!! So, 5-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s for Nicole 5-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s for Erica and let's get the Audible going guys. I'm ready to listen to "Scorched Fire, Book 3 of Fire & Ice Series..."
Wow what a read, loving Julian and Quinn’s story. With a prophecy having over her, Quinn is still trying to get control of her gift and her feelings toward Julian. Julian knows how he feels toward Quinn, will he be able to protect her when the time comes??? I’m loving this series, amazing story, plot, writing and characters. Again lots of twists, turns and homicidal vampires but we also get to see Julian’s loving and protective side as well as him and Quinn coming together in a beautiful transcendent way. I also loved the way his friends come to help, this unlikely group is a great combination, along with surprise guests, making this story brilliant for any supernatural lovers. Highly recommend.
I continued listening to this series as an audiobook. I didn't quite like the narrator as much as the one used for the first book - this one had a voice that almost made me stop listening in the beginning, putting emphasis on words in a very annoying way. I got used to it though, but I think if this had been the first book, I would have abandoned it.
This book got a lot more sexually explicit than the first one, and honestly it was not really my thing. Each of the more sexual scenes were described a bit over-the-top, and I would have enjoyed the book more without them.
I'll keep going with the third book, anyway, since it really isn't a very long reading investment anyway - so I might as well complete the series.
Erica Stevens nailed it with her The Fire and Ice Series! Julian and Quinn's journey keep me riveted and drawn in threw out it all. I couldn't put them down! I read the three book series in three days. Now I'm depressed its over. I realy hope Erica finds a way to continue Quinn and Julian's journey, maybe a spin off about their trials of the new leadership they've started. Thank you Erica Stevens for three more incredible books, you are an extremely talented writer! keep it up :)
High two stars, but still less than the first novel. First, it starts off in a similar fashion: vamp fight in the bar- -and continues with Julian becoming a wet noodle with his "I can't afford to have anything happen to you" whingeing that has turned him from badass to just... no. Then, the author can't stop with the fucking honey eyes or the honey-hued or golden molten eyes. Omfg plz stop. I get it. Her eyes are gold, there's no need to fucking beat me over the goddamn head about it. All of this was a little lackluster and I'll finish out the series but I won't be happy about it :/
I loved this entire series so much. It definitely had it's bad moments but that didn't mean I didn't like it. It was a little frustrating at times because of the female main character (no spoilers, I promise) and her attitude towards the male main character and how much crap she gave him even though he showed her that she could trust him.
It was definitely interesting to see how the second book played out with everyone working together and getting things done. I really enjoyed this one.
Arctic Fire picks up where Frost Burn left off. A paranormal romance with terrific characters I have grown to love, well-written with plot twists, thrills, and sensual love scenes. This is a continuation of story Julian and Quinn's story. I'm loving The Fire and Ice Series. 5 stars! I highly recommend this book.
I am so happy I found this author and this amazing series. Quinn and Julian's story continues with so much danger and suspense my poor heart was pounding through the whole book. If you ever watch scary movies you'll understand when you scream at the book, don't be stupid, Do not go in there. LOVED IT!!
Lol julian and braith are my favorite characters out of all of her books!! Julians story was so worth the read..i loved the small glimpse of whats to come with melissa and chris and loved how cassie and devon tied the story in. Ill do my over all review on the last book after seeimg how it all plays out
A second book that could nearly bring closure to the series as Quinn is finally set free of her nemesis. Different kind of suns are meeting, and their burns are not always due to heat. New (or old) characters appear for a badass set up in world of power and age.
I love this series. It is dark and violent in many ways, but there is also love and faithful friendships to balance the story. The characters are incredible. The storylines intriguing. I can't wait for the next book.
This book was not repeat of words and storyline’s it went right to the heart of the story and wow what a story was amazing really enjoyed this one compared to the first book bring on the next one last book
So good! Terrifying and action pack, with a great love story. I love how this author writes her hero’s. When the fall, they are ALL IN! They love so truly! The heroine’s are really good at not being helpless. The humor really helps even out that intense scary parts.
WOW!!! I'm loving this series. Quinn and Julian are by far the best characters ever. This story is just fascinating and I just couldn't stop reading. I want more please..
