Iron Horse MC #3

Exquisite Redemption

~This story CAN be read as a standalone, but for the most enjoyment the series should be read in order~

Sarah
In my wild, reckless past Carlos 'Beach' Rodriguez would have been my ideal man. He's handsome, experienced, rich, kind, and in complete control of his destiny. Unfortunately he's also a criminal, the President of an outlaw motorcycle club, and I've sworn off bad boys in my efforts to live my dream of being normal. It would be so much easier to resist him if he hadn't saved my life more than once and didn't treat me like his queen.

Beach
Gorgeous, smart, and deadly, Sarah is my ideal woman, even if she is almost young enough to be my daughter. On the surface she's one of the toughest females I've ever met, but underneath all that hard beauty and menace lies an incredibly tender heart that's been damaged in the past. Winning her love is gonna be a challenge, but I'm determined to have her as my old lady and I'll do whatever I have to in order to make that happen. That would be a hell of a lot easier to do if people weren't trying to kill us all the time.

Author's note- This is part ONE of TWO for Beach and Sarah's story and ends on a Happy For Now.

About the author

Ann Mayburn

95 books1,973 followers
Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead(though she will deny to her children that it ever happened).

From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.

Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.

I loved books one and two about Swan Sarah's sister so when I saw a book three was out I immediately wanted to read it. I loved Swan and Smoke and their books(books one and two). Their love story and their lives drew me in and made me love them. We meet Sarah and Beach in books one and two and we see them happy and together but in this book(and the next book to come book four) we get to see how they meet and we get their story. You know if you have read books one and two that these book have crazy all in the mix but surprisingly it works and makes this series even more endearing. So it is no surprise that we again get a lot of crazy since Sarah and Swan have the same parents but it again it just works.

Sarah is about to retire and with this being her last night she plans to live it up before she leads a normal life. When a bunch of MC members ask her if she wants to party she agree's. The instant she meets Beach Sarah has got to be by him and get to know him, and the feelings are mutual for Beach. The second he see's her he wants her and not long after knows she will be his. What starts as a night to party soon turns deadly and Beach and Sarah find themselves kidnapped. Getting out is just the beginning for Beach and Sarah.

Bringing Sarah with him all Beach can think about is keeping his woman safe. And even though they haven't known each other for long Beach knows Sarah will be his Old Lady. But Sarah isn't like most woman, not only can she defend herself and kill Sarah has a lot to deal with after the life she led, and trusting someone isn't easy for her. As Beach try's to figure out who is responsible for taking Him and Sarah, Beach also has to convince the woman he is quickly falling in love that she can trust in him and trust the love she is also beginning to feel for Beach, all the while navigating this new world she has been thrown into.

Now let me say that I loved Sarah the girl is kick butt strong(literally and figuratively) and she has a cargo full of baggage that breaks your heart and make you want happy for her. But I have to admit Sarah isn't my usual heroine and that isn't all bad, and a lot of that come from her upbringing and all she endured and suffered. Beach is the perfect hero for her. He is strong enough to not be afraid or intimidated by her and smart enough to stay on his toes around her but more importantly is is amazing enough to love her and protect her. Sarah is it for Beach and once he see's her he lets everyone know that she is it and no one else will ever be it but her. Beach and Sarah couldn't be more perfect for each other.

We see others from the club in this book and I sincerely hope the author gives this huge mass of amazing men their own books (especially Hulk). I will admit that there are some bits int his book that aren't for me but nothing that pulled me out of the story but I will say I didn't like . I can't wait to see how Sarah and Beach's story end, there is so much more to come and with all that is yet to be said and happen I know it will be amazing. I loved seeing Beach and Sarah get to know each other and see Beach start to help Sarah heal and I just know when it finally comes to a head that their story will truly be amazing.

Get ready to fall in love, because Ann Mayburn has just written your next book husband. Carlos “Beach” Rodriguez is sex on a Harley Davidson, a stud in the bedroom, and gooey enough on the inside to make you swoon!

If you read the first two books in this series, you have already gotten a glimpse of Beach and Sarah. But that’s all you got—a glimpse. This book is a look back at the beginning of their relationship and how things really happened, not the story that was given to Swan.

From the beginning at Sturgis to the end, I was on the edge of my seat and had a hard time putting this book down. I fell in love all over again with the Iron Horse MC and its crazy cast of characters. Hustler, Smoke, and a few others also play parts in this story that will have you “excited” as you turn the pages.

The heat in this book between Beach and Sarah is enough to start your panties on fire so make sure you grab something to extinguish the flames.

Now, when does then next book come out? I want it NOW!!! ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars

Re-read 3/21/17....still awesome !!

I don't even know how to explain this book, because it has so much crazy shit...I wouldn't know were to start.

Apparently there are 2 more books before this one, about Sarah's twin sister. I however like doing shit ass backwards, so I jumped right into book 3, because it sounded better ;)

Book 3 and 4 are about Sarah and Beach. Sarah is a playboy centerfold/pole dancing queen.

Her mom is a crazy ass fuck up and con artist. Her dad is some kind of (former) super military guy, who has gone underground and is now a arms dealer and a prepper (they live on a commune) and her stepmom is a mafia princess. This makes Sarah half assassin too, because her dad thought her everything he knows. I mean WTF, shit is ridiculous !!! Oh and she has a high functioning autistic twin sister

Beach, however was the most normal in this book. He is the international president of the "Iron Horse MC". I liked him a lot. He was all alpha toughness with a huge heart. He really wanted to take care of Sarah.

I'm not gonna go into the plot, because there is just to much crazy shit to explain. There is kidnapping and people trying to kill both of them. There is also very hot sex....damn these two were hot when they finally got it on !

Eventhough this book is ridiculous at times and way ott in my opinion, I couldn't stop reading. I'm gonna jump right into book 4, because I want to know what crazy shit will happen next.

Carlos "Beach" Rodriguez never thought about settling down, but he knew when he found the woman strong enough to be the President's of Iron Horse, Old Lady, he would know it. Meeting Sarah he knew she was it, however she is enigma with walls tightly secured and an uphill battle to keep her by is side. Sarah has a temper and she is quick to display it, however she will lay down her loyalty to those who earn it. Can she trust Beach or will he be another man who betrays her?

Beach and Sarah's story. There were a couple of things that didn't blend with the first two books on their journey, not glaring enough that the story suffered though. I will say, I initially hesitated reading Sarah's story because you knew so much of her past from Swan's story and was worried I wouldn't warm up to her character, I was wrong. Sarah is strong, she is powerful and has a vulnerable side that breaks your heart. This story takes place from the moment Sarah and Beach meet. Beach is pure alpha male, dominant, and delicious book hero from page one. Can't say enough to do the book justice but it was one heck of a read.

Love the bad boys with a heart of gold? This book is for you. Where have I been that I missed this series? What is even worse is a friend recommended the first book in this series and I completely missed it. Although, truth be told, it is better I started with book 3. This book can be read without reading the first two books. I tend to like my books going in a linear timeline. Personally, I prefer reading about Sarah's story first.

The book starts out with Sarah as a little girl hiding from a domestic violence scene. This quickly jumps to an adult Sarah who is a world champion pole dancer. She is also March playmate of the year. Sarah is done with earning the money she needs to set up her new life as an interior designer. Her one night to say sayonara to her old life ends up in a cluster. The national president of a large motorcycle club picks her up, she is shot at, kidnapped and sold off as a sexual slave. The amount of action which occurs in the first few chapters hooks me in fast and keeps reeling me in. If I had not been almost caught still reading late at night, I would have finished this book in one sitting. I went through withdrawal symptoms until I could return to the book.

Sarah is a pretty amazing character. I like everything about her. For those who may scoff at how unrealistic Sarah is because of what she has accomplished, I reference Drew Barrymore. It is not easy, but it is possible for Sarah to be the way she is at her age. Sarah is a complex character because she is so strong, can handle herself and yet she possesses vulnerabilities which make sense. Her fears are not conflicting with her overall personality. Instead it enhances her and makes her more engaging and relate-able.

Beach is an okay character. He is more in a supporting role. Whilst he is a sexual dominant with a lot of power, he pales in comparison to Sarah. He is a good match for her since he is older and can understand Sarah's needs, dreams and fears.

This book does bounce back and forth between Sarah and Beach's point of view. Alternating views is not a favourite of mine but it works well here. It helps the reader understand how the characters think. It helps balance the story and show both sides for a more cohesive tale. The relationship between Sarah and Beach requires work and communication. It is not that they need to compromise; it is more they need to adjust to each other's life and make it something new. The way Ms. Mayburn writes it is so good.

The sex in the story is hot. There is no doubt Ms. Mayburn knows her way around sexual positions and panty moistening scenes. There is a bit of kink with restraints, rough body play and flogging. Kink is tastefully incorporated to enhance the sex scenes. There is a little something Beach wears which totally catches my interest. Sarah obviously feels the same as she drooled over it and played with it to her heart's content.

The conflicts in this story are mostly resolved. The setup of each conflict works well and none of them were contrived miscommunications. Instead, there are realistic relationship conflicts as well as work issues which impact both Sarah and Beach's personal life. The dangers of being in the less lawful sect of society can sometimes be a drag. The ending comes way too fast and the second part to this arc is to come out in a few months. After finishing this book, I immediately want to read the next one and read the first two. Highly recommended to erotica reader who like strong characters, good plot development and hawt sex.

This series just gets better and better!

If you haven’t read Exquisite Trouble and Exquisite Danger, stop reading this and go read those. Exquisite Redemption and Exquisite Karma are companion books that tell the true story of how Beach and Sarah met and fell in love and what happened during the time Sarah was missing while looking for her mother. I’m not a big fan of books that go over old ground, but the insight into what happened to Sarah kept me engaged even though I knew how it worked out in the end.

Sarah is definitely my idea of an almost perfect heroine. She had it rough, getting stuck with the craziest parent in the divorce. Abused and used, she clawed herself out of that situation at a surprisingly young age. She made a name for herself and enough money to finally make her dreams come true in an unconventional way. You can’t help but admire her spirit. Taught by the best, Sarah is one badass bitch who can take care of herself. Having led such a tough life, she is mature beyond her years, but you get glimpses of the young girl she really is at times and it’s usually heartbreaking.

Sarah had a plan to have one last night of wild with a random bad boy and then to settle down by going to school and finding a mature man who she could rely on. Those plans were derailed in a spectacular way when her night ended with Beach and her getting violently kidnapped at a biker rally.

Beach is amazing. Definitely a case of biker insta-lust, but with Sarah being the beautiful badass she is, how could he not want her? He could be one hell of an alpha-hole but he needed to be. He treats her with care, letting her be the woman she needs to be but at the same time keeping her safe even if it was from herself. My only complaint with Beach was he didn’t pick up on clues surrounding Sarah’s upbringing and the ongoing threat she continued to face.

Sarah and Beach were definitely good together. There was a lot of push and pull, both in and out of the bedroom. Beach was 100% in charge in the bedroom and he was very, very good at it. When “Papi” came out to play it was intense, sexy, and unbelievably hot.

Just as things are settling down for them, Sarah’s Mom shows up and all hell breaks loose. I do wish Sarah had been truthful from the start but I got why she was reluctant to share her true upbringing. When the worst happens, Beach doesn’t handle it well and Sarah, feeling responsible, strikes out alone to fix things.

I did feel like Sarah was reckless by going out on her own and her excuses as to why didn’t really hold water for me. As super protective as she was over Swan, her not calling in reinforcements ended up putting Swan in more danger. How the merchandise ended up being found, which we weren’t told in Swan’s books, ended up being kind of a letdown for me. I decided to chalk up all her questionable decisions to extreme stress and just go along for the ride.

The Iron Horse MC fascinates me–the infrastructure, grit, action, politics, and especially the men. I am hoping we get the next installment soon because I am really enjoying this series. There’s a war going on and no one is sure who all the players are so I can’t wait to dive into the next one.

Ann Mayburn has done it again with another great MC tale. This was Beach and Sarah's memorable and gritty story. If you can recall, Sarah was Swan's twin sister from Books 1 and 2 of the Iron Horseman series so you already know how the twins were raised and how it sorta effected why they are the way they are and even who the tend to associate with and gravitate to. But from the start, you see immediately that Sarah wants a normal, simple life outside of dancing on poles because she has made a lot of money in that profession it seems... but anyway while in Sturgis she meets hero, Beach, the National President of Iron Horse MC and watch how the their journey immediately takes off TOGETHER DUE TO.... nope no spoiler from me on this one... just read it and find out!

Any how .... I loved this one too but not the cliffhanger much!

Beach and Sarah's story is definitely my favorite in the series. Beach is the president of the MC who falls for Sarah who has sworn of bad boys. Beach is simply swoon worthy with that touch of biker badass that is irresistible. I loved that with Sarah that the soft comes out in him. We've seen glimpses of them in the previous books, but this one is all about them with the surrounding characters still in play. I loved their story and can't wait to read more.

I give Exquisite Redemption 5 hearts!

Fantastic
I loved Beach and Sarah individually and adored them as a couple. They fit each other in ways they both needed.

If in a review I read that Sarah was an ex-stripper, professional pole dancer and was in playboy I probably would say moving on to the next book. (I know judgie of me). We meet her on the last day of being a professional dancer (that is seriously hard work. You need strength).

I decided to read since I loved the first 2 books in the series. Exquisite redemption is a prequel to those books.

I straight up loved Sarah. She has fire but is not a bitch. No TSTL moments. She planned to move forward and accomplish her goals (interior designer and someday having a normal suburban family). She is a mixture of vulnerability, humor and strength. I got behind her b/c she never backed down from doing what needed to be done. Justice doesn't mean going to jail it can mean death.

She learned after meeting Beach what we need doesn't always follow our thought out path. Beach a very yummy H. Sarah is everything to him.

Beach sigh I want one. A badass who knows he wants Sarah and is never letting her go. No cheating.

I'm always nervous starting a AM book b/c she writes a lot of formal BDSM books w/ sex sharing which I know appeals to many readers. Me not so much. I think eventually books in this series will go down that path. A few characters from her Russian submissive series have made cameos. But maybe not.

This book ends on a HFN and will continue into the next book coming out in March 2016.

I want Hulk to get a book. He's such a sweetie who deserves a HEA.

Exquisite Redemption is the 3rd story in the Iron Horse MC series and as you already know Beach(National President)and Sarah(Swan's sister) are already together so this is their story on how they became a couple. What I loved most about this story is the it brought a lot of insight into not just their relationship but into the Iron Horse as a whole. Makes me look at some characters differently whether they are good or bad, or I'm iffy about. The development between Beach and Sarah professed really well for me. It didn't feel rushed from what I had been expecting. I'm a biker girl through and through and for me this is one of my top all time favorite MC series. I can't wait for more!!!!

This is my first book by Ann Mayburn and I was pleasantly surprised. Ok, that’s enough of the fancy sweet talk because this book was anything but. Let’s see where do I start; maybe with Sarah who to me was a heroine, or maybe with Beach who was one of the sexiest, most dangerous, powerful, patient, sweetest mc president there is. So maybe you can see that I am totally taken by Beach and who could blame me.

There is so much behind Sarah that since reading this book first that I missed out on or if I will find out everything about her past in Exquisite Karma which is coming out in March. (Which seems like forever since I am totally hooked on this book). Anyway, Sarah is a woman I would love to have on my side since she knows how to handle herself and those around her. She doesn’t take any sh*t from anyone and she can put a guy in their place with just a look sometimes. The sad part is that she seems really broken inside and has a hard time seeing and believing in something good that is right in front of her. This leads me to Beach who is the national president of the Iron Horse MC. Does the man have power; hell yeah, in spades. Could he have anyone he wants; yep. Does he know how to treat a woman; oh, yes and then some. Don’t let all of the “nice” things I have said about him fool you because this guy doesn’t hesitate to have someone killed in the blink of an eye if need be. After Sarah saved Beach’s life with some actually pretty cool moves and most unexpectedly from a blonde, big boobed, playboy model turn pole dancer. Yes, these are usually qualaties that would make most insecure women cringe over but when it comes to Sarah as I said before, she is my hero.

Beach doesn’t become national president of a mc by being stupid and not seeing people for who they really are, he knows that Sarah is a once in a lifetime catch. He would know since he could have the pick of any woman he would want, he chose Sarah as the one person who he wanted to make his old lady. But good old Sarah wasn’t going to let any man, no matter his position, own her or tell her what to do. This is when I fell in love with Beach because of the patience he had for Sarah and the instant love he knew he had for this special woman. Beach did have to have a little help from Birdie who was a 70 year old biker chick and knew Beach since the day he was born. Birdie was a tough old lady who knew what a good man Beach was and only wanted for his happiness and Birdie knew that came in the form of Sarah. There was a scene where Beach was surrounded by strong women in the form of Sarah, her stepmom who loved Sarah dearly but at the same time was some mercenary asassin (loved this), Birdie, and his own mom who was a former president’s old lady too. These women could have eaten Beach up and spit him out. This was a great scene in the book and had me laughing the whole time. The poor guy didn’t stand a chance.

There were a lot of great scenes which made me love this book. Some were suspenseful, some made you sad, and some were laugh out loud moments. These are all the makings for a great book that you can’t put down. Some of the dialogue between Sarah and Beach’s higher ups was hilarious. I know that this wasn’t the first book in the series but I HAVE to read the others to see what is all going on in the Iron Horse MC. And I must say that I am impatiently waiting for the follow up to Exquisite Redemption. I have found a mc group that I can’t get enough of.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Damn!! If you think Smoke is super obsessive/possessive about Swan, he got nothing on Carlos “Beach” Rodriguez. Beach is a dirty talker, tattoos and piercings and a hint of a Dom. Can't go wrong with that. Woman is just an object to him until.....

Sarah is beautiful eighteen years old Playboy centerfold, pole dancer and stoned cold killer.

Guess who brought Beach down on his knees??

You could totally read book 3 and 4 first, then 1 and 2.

And you will definitely want to read book 4 right away, there is a bit of a cliff.

This is Sarah's story. The story takes place prior to Swan and Smoke getting together. Sarah is the lead performer at at MAC rally where the club is hired to be her body guards, she joins a friend at the clubs after party where she meets the Prez. It's pretty much insta love for him and took her a bit of convincing.

So I enjoyed learning about how Beach met Sarah. It was cute and like all these novels so far so OTT but I have learned to roll my eyes and continue on.

One Major issue I have with this book is that it should be Book #1 in the Series.
Why? Well Book #1 & Book #2 are about Smoke and Swan. Book #3 takes place before Book 1 & 2. And due to this Smoke is making out and having sex with Club Whores.... No I can't deal with my Hero being a slut after I read his happy ever after! It is torture I tell you!!

The sex once again was Meh... All the talk about BDSM and nothing. I swear she likes the idea of it but isn't comfortable with writing about it? Stop talking about it if you aren't going to give us some kink.

Will I continue with the series? Probably... I mean I am 3 books in. I know who the "Big Bad" is... it is so obvious. I will be SO surprised if I am wrong.

I am still really interested in reading Book #5... I wish my Hero for that book wasn't in a depression due to a dumb whore.

So, I have obviously been living under a rock when it comes to this author because I have completely missed this series and for me – that is a no no, I am a MC junkie- so being as this is the third in the series, I am ashamed of myself! I will rectify that mistake immediately but am really pleased to say that having not read the first two books didn’t detract from this story at all, it was perfectly comfortable standing its own ground.
So what did I find when I opened the covers of Exquisite Redemption, well I found Beach and holy moly where has this man been all my life… I could kick myself!
Carlos “Beach” Rodriguez is all manner of a sexy SOB, I mean what the heck is there not to love about a man that has it all going on (and in bucket loads, I might add) both inside and out. He was tough as they come when needed, gentle when required but he loved his woman, Sarah with everything he had and he made sure she darn well knew it!
I am aware that this is their story from the beginning despite the bits that have appeared in the previous books but I also know that this is not their whole story – part two of their tale is still to come and by the time I reach the end of the book – I can tell you February just can’t come quickly enough.
The story is fabulous, the Iron Horse MC were everything I could have wanted them to be and the characters, well what was there not to love about them.
But what about Beach and Sarah, what did they have to say?
Sarah wants nothing more from life than to live just like everyone else and be normal, a rough start has her reaching for the safety of firm and steady ground, rocking nobody’s boat suits her just fine but her plan for that safe and settled life is thrown straight out the window when she meets Beach.
Funny how one night, one chance meeting and you will never be the same again, but then I doubt I would ever recover from having that man in my line of sight either.
But Beach knows his mind, he didn’t get to be President of the Iron Horse MC by dithering and he isn’t about to start now. He knows that Sarah has one place she needs to be and that is on the back of his bike and by his side as his old lady, he just needs to convince her of that fact. And boy does he throw everything at her, she never stood a chance.
Their story ain’t all smooth sailing but then again with characters like Beach and the other MC guys it was never going to be, Sarah had a lot to take on board. But that being said Beach and Sarah were delightful characters and I couldn’t help but root for them both – I need them to be ok.
But there were external influences that meant that this was more than just a good MC read it was a great one.
In my opinion it had everything a good book needed, it was passionate, it was dramatic, it was sensitive and it was tough as old boots when required because there is more than a slight hint of danger and peril at the heart of this story, this has suspense and danger and more than a few occasions where I could feel my heart rate begin to rise. There are enough twists and turn throughout the story to keep even the most flighty of reader engrossed.

This misogynist MC has never seen the likes of Sarah.

“What can I say, I’d been molded in a world filled with violence, my innocence taken away far too soon, and I’d survived those hard times because I was a fighter. A survivor. I didn’t need anything or anyone to get by, but damn it was a lonely life.” Sarah “Star” Anderson

I think that statement should give you a clue about Sarah’s nature. Life hasn’t been kind to her, but she’s managed to weather it and come out the other side the better person all in all. She lives life with karma and the rule of three in mind. What goes around, comes around. What you dish out comes back at you threefold. Even so she’s learned to be one tough cookie when the situation calls for it. Gun fights and kidnappings definitely call for it. Being the daughter of a crazy arms dealer and step-daughter of Lady Death means she’s prepared for whatever life dishes up. That includes rescuing herself and Carlos “Beach” Rodriguez from erstwhile kidnappers.

Carlos “Beach” Rodriguez, national president of the Iron Horse MC is completely smitten with the hot little number that dishes as good as she gets and that’s well before the bullets start flying. Watching Sarah in action is a thing of beauty and is it any wonder the tough MC pres decides then and there that she’s his. Not once has he ever felt the urge to claim a woman but this one he’ll claim and protect until his dying breath. Even if it means standing up to her crazy father and taking his life into his own hands with her stepmother. Finding out Sarah is much younger than he first assumed might make him miss a step but it certainly isn’t going to make him stumble on his way to a lifetime of loving her. One thing is for sure though, she will definitely keep him on his toes with her very independent ways. Nothing a good spanking once in awhile won’t cure.

Exquisite Redemption is one of those books you can’t put down. I read it in one sitting and I hate to say it, but I know I was a little short with anyone who dared interrupt me. But darn it! It was that damned good! While the violence and action is fairly fast-paced in the beginning, the sexual tension built steadily throughout. When things finally came together for these two, I can only say wow… more than worth the wait. While this is only part one of two it ends on an HFN for Sarah and Beach. The question remains… who attempted to kidnap him and will they be back? Part one is definitely worth reading as a stand alone, but I have to say I’ll be impatiently waiting for part two to arrive in February.

(Amazon Blurb)

Ann Mayburn is the queen of her genre! To date, there has never been one of her novels that has disappointed me or left me feeling as though I have been cheated. Exquisite Redemption is no exception! I loved every single second, from cover to cover and page by page; it is by far, one of my favorite MC novels I’ve had the opportunity to read so far. My only complaint is that I hadn’t had the chance to read the first and second parts, but that would be something that can be easily fixed. Beach is a hardened man by his experiences, and yet I loved how he still retained qualities that are endearing such as kindness and protective; he isn’t afraid of neither going after what he desires nor fighting for the one the loves. Surprisingly, it is within Sarah that we find qualities that could be dangerous: deadly, trauma and pain; all due to a painful past. The action is nonstop, the passion smoking and the plot continuously full of twists that even the best of readers able to guess what would next in the story would have to wonder what will happen! This is one hot recommend for any reader and an author that must be added to your to be watched list and the novels on your to be read list.

4.5 Star Review Exquisite Redemption (Iron Horse MC #3) by Ann Mayburn

This is book 3 in the Iron Horse MC series. I will warn you that this is part one of two for Beach and Sarah’s story although I believe that the second book will be out in February.

Beach and Sarah were introduced in the first two books (from Swan and Smoke’s perspective mainly). In the previous books, their story was told through the eyes of Smoke and Swan (Sarah’s identical twin sister) and was a sanitised version of how they met and what occurred. This is the real story.

Carlos “Beach” Rodriguez is the National President of the Iron Horse MC. He is a hard and often violent man; just reading how he came by the name of “Beach” sent shivers down my spine. However, he is also a man deeply in love with Sarah and is absolutely determined to make her his “old lady”.

Sarah is gorgeous, smart and independent, surviving a hard and at times tragic and difficult past and yet through sheer determination has survived. She and her twin sister Swan were raised separately by their parents, with Sarah being taken and raised by her mother. Poor Sarah really drew the short straw. Thankfully she has been able to establish a relationship with her father and step-mother which has stood her in good stead for what occurs in Exquisite Redemption.

The sizzling chemistry between Beach and Sarah is smoking hot and Ann Mayburn certainly knows how to write scenes that make your panties burst into flames.

I admit that having read the previous two books Exquisite Trouble and Exquisite Danger I did get a little lost on occasion. Since this book tells the story of Beach and Sarah, it crosses with events in the first two books and it was hard at times knowing what had transpired (in the first two books) to follow Beach and Sarah’s thoughts as I already knew what had occurred and who the traitor was.

There is certainly plenty of action, not to mention trouble in this story and I cannot wait to see how Ann Mayburn explores the relationship between Beach and Sarah in the next book.

I really enjoyed this book and would recommend that if you haven’t yet read any of Ann Mayburn’s books that you do yourself a favour and remedy that as soon as possible.

I will wait impatiently for February so that I can read the conclusion to Beach and Sarah’s story.

Exquisite Redemption from Ann Mayburn was a great 5 star read.
Wow, what a great read. Exquisite Redemption can be read as a stand alone however I highly suggest you read Book 1 & 2 first. It adds much more to your reading experience.

Sarah had a terrible life growing up, she has decided that she wants to settle down and have a more normal life. On a night out before starting her new life she meets Beach, the president of the Iron Horse MC. As soon as Beach meets Sarah the sparks fly and he knows he has to have her, convincing Sarah of this will take some work.

This book takes us on a roller coaster ride that's filled with lots of danger, excitement, and hot sex. All of the additional characters added a great element to the story also, I loved Birdie. If you like MC read’s you will love this series. I can’t wait to see what else is coming from this great author. Thank you!

Full Review: https://mackenziesmountain.wordpress....

It was really interesting to see things from Sarah and Beachs’ points of view. You meet both characters in the first two novels but see very little of either so you form an impression based off of other characters’ takes on who they are, which turn out to be rather narrow. Not inaccurate mind you, but the reader definitely gets to see more of the real person behind the facade with “Redemption”.

I liked the book and seeing more characters from other perspectives (Smoke is a prick before he meets the love of his life!) is cool, but Exquisite Redemption wasn’t a hit for me. Too much of the story was repetitive and followed the exact same path as Trouble and Danger did. The driving motivation behind the plot is the machinations of the “unknown” traitor within the IH MC and if you have read the earlier (later?) books, you know who it is. Personally, I hate when the reader knows and the characters don’t because it is so frustrating and I always feel like the characters are the biggest idiots in the world for not putting it together…. kinda takes away from the badassery of a 1%er outlaw.

I wish that we had gotten more time with these characters and been able to see them interact with each other and the people surrounding them a little bit more. They are such interesting individuals and so much more could have been developed! We barely scraped the surface of the daddy/lg relationship that forms between Beach and Sarah, which would have been fascinating to see (I trust the author can do it in a totally non-incesty way). It seemed like Beach and Sarah went from one plot point to another with guns blazing, but there was so much action that there wasn’t any character development, and relationships don’t build as much as I would have wanted....

please see my blog for more details. This is about half the review. Still anxiously awaiting the next book in the series, even though this one was a bit of a miss for me.

Dear Ann Mayburn, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING?! I LOVED LOVED LOVED this story, and I even laughed at your note at the end, " Put that Ann Mayburn 'I hate cliffhangers' voodoo doll down!". However, you have made the list of authors trying to kill me, so CONGRATS!

Sarah is a young, beautiful, and very independent woman that refuses to let any man help her. On her last night before she embarks on a new start into the "normal" life, she decides to have a fling while at Sturgis. As she's hanging out with some bikers, she comes face to face with Carlos "Beach" Rodriguez, the Iron Horse MC National Prez. She feels an instant connection, but she's sworn off bad boys. Beach feels instantly that Sarah is the one for him, and he's claiming her. He knows winning her heart will be a huge challenge, but he's determined to do whatever it takes to make her his old lady. After they are kidnapped when the night ends in blood shed, he realizes just how tough she is after she rescues them, and he's taking her home to keep her safe. Will Sarah realize that Beach is the man for her before it's too late?

WOW WOW WOW! I'm not sure how it's taken this long to discover this author, but thank goodness I finally did. After reading this amazing story, I'm physically exhausted, as I didn't merely read it, but experienced it like I was there. The character development is absolutely perfect, with secondaries that I adored as well. Sarah is a bad ass female that I LOVED, even though I did get frustrated with her from time to time. And Beach is a 100% drool worthy alpha male that I want for my very own. A exciting, fast paced, and well written story line flowed effortlessly. Ann Mayburn hooked me from the very beginning, and kept my heart racing cover to cover. The chemistry is flammable, leading to EXPLOSIVE panty destroying goodness sexy scenes. Of course the cliff hanger ending had me screaming some serious f-bombs, and the next book cannot get here quickly enough! I absolutely HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND to all!

I am a big fan of Ann Mayburn and I've read most of books, but somehow I managed to miss reading any of the Iron Horse MC series - and boy have I been missing out! Exquisite Redemption is the third book in the series, and I had no problems following it even though I've not read the first two books. This is the first part of Beach and Sarah's story and it has a happy for now ending, the conclusion to their story will be released in February 2016.

Sarah had an awful upbringing and life has been tough for her, but now she wants to settle down and be 'normal'. On a last wild night out before starting her new life she meets Beach. He is the president of the Iron Horse MC and the exact type of man that she goes for - but he doesn't fit in with her new clean cut, sensible lifestyle. As soon as Beach meets Sarah he knows that she is destined to be his old lady - he just needs to convince Sarah that he's the right man for her. This book takes us on a roller coaster ride that's filled with danger and sizzling chemistry, it's an awesome read.

This book has it all - suspense, danger, excitement, emotions, love, passion and hot bikers. What more do you need?! The storyline is fantastic, it's full of exciting twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Beach and Sarah are both brilliant characters, I felt connected to both of them and really wanted their relationship to succeed. I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down - five stars!

This is my first book that I've read by Ann Mayburn and I can honestly say that I will definitely be going back to read the others and I'm eagerly waiting for the next in this series. Since this is my first it goes without saying that I haven't read the others and I didn't feel lost at all while reading this book. I really enjoyed it and I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the characters in this book and the banter between them.

Sarah has been through more than anyone her age should go through. She may be young but she doesn't act like it. She is one kick a$$ chick and can hold her own in the face of danger. She is independent and isn't looking to get involved with anyone but sometimes fate intervenes when you least expect it. She is seriously attracted to Carlos aka Beach but she doesn't want anything long term and is going to give him a run for his money.

Carlos aka Beach isn't looking for any kind of relationship with a woman besides of the arrangement he has with the sweet butts but one night at a rally life takes a turn. When under fire the last person he expects to hold their own is Sarah and that just adds to his attraction to this beauty. He is determined to make her is old lady but it's not going to be easy and he is going to have to be patient and show her that she doesn't have to lose her independence being with him.

I highly recommend this book. I think that you will really enjoy it. The chemistry between these two is smoking hot.

4.5 Stars

To be honest I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. It had been so long since I read the previous books I wasn't sure I would remember any of the characters and although there were a few times I struggled to remember them it wasn't what I expected.

I have to admit I wasn't overly fond of Sarah in Swan's story. She seemed like a selfish b!tch and I couldn't really relate to her. In this book we see a completely different side to Sarah and I have to admit I liked her instantly!! Her no bullsh!t attitude and her ability to look after herself really made me respect her character. She has been through so much that we don't know about and I have to say I loved her in this story, I'm really glad we got to see into her head and some of her experiences in life.

Beach again I wasn't sure of in the previous books but like Sarah I have to admit I loved him in this book!! There was only one thing that detracted from Beach for me and that was the whole Papi thing!! Other than that I thought he was amazing and I loved how he treated Sarah. I also loved how he viewed her, he put her on a pedestal and I think she thoroughly deserved that!

This was a great insight into how Beach and Sarah got together from their POV! I loved hearing their take on things and I'm excited to get the next instalment!

I’ve had the pleasure of reading a couple of Ann’s books, I watch for her releases now. “smiles” Her books are a combination of story line, character personality and enough detail to keep you entertained and fanning your face in some parts.

Who doesn’t love the bad boys? Lately I’ve been crazy for the whole yummy MC themed males with attitude. Welcome to Exquisite Redemption. Meet Carlos A bad boy goodie, grins. Meet Sarah oh the sass of a good girl always is a pull of a bad boy.

The detailed descriptions of her characters so vivid you can close your eyes and see them. Well written that its like you’re right there watching the scene play out.

Carlos makes the good bad boy he will be the next baby’s daddy for a few of us, oh and that durty mouth of his, *fans face* Smiles. Sarah almost annoyed me It took a good minute for me to go ok I like her after reading more about her life. But both her and Carlos works. It wont be easy for Carlos and Sarah, they have to work through themselves as well as club issues. You will see why Carlos is a bad boy and see Sarah come into her own.

Enjoyed the story, love Ann’s writing. Love the bad boy/Good girl Enjoy.

Exquisite Redemption by Ann Mayburn
4.5 Stars
Get ready to fall in love, because Ann Mayburn has just written your next book husband. Carlos “Beach” Rodriguez is sex on a Harley Davidson, a stud in the bedroom, and gooey enough on the inside to make you swoon!
If you read the first 2 books in the series you have already gotten a glimpse of Beach and Sarah. But that’s all you got, a glimpse. This book is a look back at the beginning of their relationship and how things really happened, not the story that was given to Swan.
From the beginning at Sturgis to the end I was on the edge of my seat and had a hard time putting this book down. I fell in love all over again with the Iron Horse MC and its crazy cast of characters. Hustler, Smoke, and a few others also play parts to this story that will have you “excited” as you turn the pages.
The heat in this book between Beach and Sarah is enough to start your panties on fire so make sure you grab something to extinguish the flames.
Now, when does then next book come out? I want it NOW!!!

I received this book as an ARC for my honest review. 2 words: MIND BLOWING!!! Before receiving this copy, I made sure that I bought Exquisite Trouble and Danger (Part 1 & 2). This is definitely one of the hottest, mind blowing series that I've read in a long time. I must say that it kept me up a few nights. There are no weak characters in this series, the heroes and heroines are strong willed and kind individuals who have a great network of great family and friends. With that said not everyone in their circle is genuine, thus danger lies around almost every corner.
Sarah and Swan are identical twins raised separately but so strong and smart. Their father and step-mother have definitely prepared them for the curve balls that life can throw at times (almost making me jealous of their upbringing).
Beach and Smoke are the epitome of Alpha males/Real men. Despite some violence they are really great guys.
This series is a DEFINITELY A MUST READ, you won't be disappointed!!!
