All Game

Rate this book
Werewolf Lucas Brown is finishing up his last semester as a freshman at Salem State University, but before his academic year can come to an end, there’s just one more obstacle for him to face: spring quarter’s epic faceoff of Humans versus Zombies. It’s the game that he and his friends have been waiting for all year, and yet as the date of opening night draws closer, Lucas can’t help but feel like Dean, his alpha, is growing more distant.

The first night of Humans versus Zombies is nothing like he thought it would be, and Lucas can only watch as his friends get turned almost immediately. Alone and alive, Lucas will have to team up with strangers to fight the horde and all of his friends that are suddenly a part of it.

As the nights get longer, and Lucas finds comradery in the one guy that Dean cares enough to hate, will Lucas lose everything to a game that used to bring him so much?

Another great addition to the story. Lots of action in the ZvH field...and the turmoil between Lucas and Dean was a bit confusing but it added to the suspense. Looking forward to listening to the final chapter of the series...

I think my feelings about this installment stem that it has to do with the fact that it's almost all about the game and very little about the relationship until the end. While I enjoyed hearing the details of the game and rooting for "human" Lucas, I wanted more of he and Dean. When conflict resolves between them it's a kind of a "huh?". I also was surprised to see the appearance of something that made the blackberry preserves usage of the last book seem totally foolish--where was this omega trope characteristic (that I love) before? One thing get a little frustrated about is that these students never seem to go to class, study, write papers, go to the library, etc. It's just my own quirk that I want a little more college feel to things. No spoilers, but it ends with a big bang! Anyway...it was fun but not my favorite. I would totally suck at HvZ!

Not quite sure on all of the reasoning behind the long conflict between Dean and Lucas but it was a little action packed game fun. Just wondering what's next on the horizon for the boys AND the game.
