Lightning Sealed

"No matter what his words conveyed, Theo would leave me soon. It was just a matter of time."
The Fray is calling Theo. Every day, the voices get louder. Every minute, he gets pulled closer. Every second, their love is tested. Their life is a constant question of who they can trust and who they can't.
Sanctum, Theo's brother and enemy, stalks them like a predator, waiting for his chance to pounce.
Theo will leave Colby soon to do what he, as the Eidolon, was born to do. He can't deny the yearning in his heart to go, but he can't find it in his heart to leave.
Colby will be left with a decision. She can wither like the mates of Eidolon before her or she can go after the Synod, the women who murdered her grandmother, while Theo is gone.
With Theo missing and Colby desperate, Sanctum is only too eager to fill in…

Lila Felix

Lila Felix is full of antics and stories. She refused to go to Kindergarten after the teacher made her take a nap on the first day of school. She staged her first protest in middle school. She almost flunked out of her first semester at Pepperdine University because she was enthralled with their library and frequently was locked in. Now her husband and three children have to put up with her rebel nature in Louisiana where her days are filled with cypress trees, crawfish, and of course her books and writing. She writes about the ordinary people who fall extraordinarily in wild, true love.

My voice was no longer louder than those in the Fray.
Our love was only so strong – their hold was stronger.

***
Where to begin? I have started this review a million and one times and each time ends with me saying something that I shouldn't. Definite spoilers. Bad reviewer, Bad! So who is up for a quickie? Quickie review that is?

All those beloved (and not so beloved) characters from LIGHTNING KISSED are back and in full swing. We get lots of screen time with them all. I even started a chapter without looking to see who the POV was and I was giddy with excitement when I had to do a double take. I enjoy sneaky little POVs when I least expect them.

**
“How long before you leave me?” She asked the dark. I’d almost missed it, her voice was so faint.
“I will never leave you completely, meu coração. My body may be gone, but you will always hold me- anchor me here.”

**

It is such a delight to open a book by this author and know that you will not get the same ol', same ol'. I bore at the number of times I have picked up a book to read the blurb and see something I always see. With this series you will get a unique storyline, fun characters, and a bit of toe curling romance. *sigh*

This amazing story is well written and done to perfection. Something Felix shines at. She only wants her best work out there and it shows with her latest creation. After a great, twist filled ending the future is uncertain for everyone involved. Come fall in love with this series as I have. 5 Stars!!

This is the second book in the Lucent series. I fell in love with Theo and Colby in the first book and was so excited to read the next part of their story.

I love how much Theo loves Colby no matter what. He has this new "job" to do and it's making him not himself and it tests their relationship from the beginning.

I thumped my head against her forehead. “Don’t say that. You have to come back to me.
Don’t make me live without you.”
“I’ll do my damndest.”
“That’s my girl.”

I loved seeing all their friends together again, plus loved seeing Colby being the kind and loving one this time and proving how much she truly loves Theo. She did whatever she could to help him with his new task.

“I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love you. I’ll burn down heaven and earth and everything in between if you don’t come back. I swear it. You think those voices are hell. Hell is me having to come get you from that place.”

This was a great continuation to their story. We learn so much more about them in this one. We learn about how much stronger they are together and how much they can help their people.

I can't wait to see what happens as their story continues in Lightning Forgotten!

Outside of the slow start, overall I enjoyed this sequel even more than the first book. Colby and Theo are coming into their own. No longer ignoring their feelings for one another (mostly Colby's issue), now they not only look forward to life together, but have a greater purpose in life that goes beyond any personal happiness. But there are forces working against them. And those forces are working hard. But Theo and Colby are working not only just as hard, but even harder, to fight against the powers of their enemies. I particularly loved how Theo and Colby grew throughout this book. They've matured in tremendous ways, but have also stayed true to themselves. They also have a sweet tenderness to their relationship, and I loved them as a couple. Plus their real friends have stayed true to them, giving them great support. The revelations that ultimately come about in this story were fantastic. What started slow ended powerfully, and I'm excited to see how everything turns out in the final book.

I received this book from the author for review.
Colby and Theo and their newly formed squad are back.
This was a slow start for me but once I got into it I couldn't put it down. I loved this story, the supporting characters are fun and so is the dialogue between them.
Colby and Theo together are bad ass!

I don't want to talk about that ending though! Hmmph!

OMG

This story is amazing. First of all I didn't think I could love Colby and Theo more. Well, I do. I now also adore Colin. He's amazing. I absolutely want to hulk smash torrent. The ending was definitely not what I expected. I have a ton of questions. I can't wait for that next book. I seriously need it today. This is hands down one of my favorite series.

This is only a short review. The book does deserve many more words, however it's been a while since I read this book. So I will review again once I have re read the series
But I did enjoy this series very and can highly recommend.

An incredible follow-up to Lightning Kissed. This one picks up right where we left off and follows Theo's journey as the Eidolon with Colby as his mate.

What continues is a tale of two people, as desperately in love as a couple can be, trying to right the wrongs of not only the Synod (a ridiculous governing body) but of Theo's brother, Sanctum, who won't stop at anything to bring them down. We get to watch as Colby finds her calling and can help those cast aside by the Synod, helping them restore their powers to flash. While Theo is called upon to help those stuck in the Fray, Colby, with the help of her closest friends, realizes she can be the mate he deserves and assist her fellow Lucent sisters.

I have to admit once again that pnr is NOT my genre of choice. But Lila Felix has successfully transformed my opinion ten-fold with this series. I guess it's the knowledge that underneath all the superpower mumbo jumbo and lexicon I'm not so familiar with, therein lies a beautiful love story of two soulmates that were simply made for each other. Colby and Theo were meant to be, no matter who tries to keep them apart or who wants them gone from this world.

It is a story-line that has kept me completely riveted and I am now left here wanting the rest!!

A chance for me to move out of my comfort zone with great results. One of my go-to authors who never lets me down, Lila Felix has written yet another winner.

A solid 5 stars!!

Book 2 in the Lucent series. The Fray is calling Theo. Every day, the voices get louder. Every minute, he gets pulled closer. Every second, their love is tested. With Theo missing and Colby desperate, Sanctum is only too eager to fill in…

Once I started, I could not put this book down. I was frustrated with Theo for waiting to make a decision. The character I was suspicious of showed their nature, but not to Theo and Colby. I know they are quite young still and I hope the experiences here have given both much needed maturity to see this hidden pitfalls. Waiting for Book 3!

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Amazing read! Lightning Sealed seamlessly picks up where Lightning Kissed left off, in the story of Theo and Colby. Theo and Colby are still both grappling with the responsibility of being the Eidolon and his mate. Theo's calling as the Eidolon extremely strong. So strong, that Colby wonders if it is stronger than their love. Sanctum is stalking Colby and Theo at every turn. Sanctum is not to be trusted, yet he is seemingly necessary in transporting evil from the Fray. Who can be trusted? Will Theo and Colby's love remain intact as they navigate their new responsibilities? Will they be able to bring a renewed hope and faith to the Lucent people? Lila Felix weaves a vivid and thought provoking story that makes us question Theo and Colby's purpose, as well as our own. I cannot wait to see where this adventure takes me next!

Okay, so as wonderful as Lightning Kissed was, multiply that by 10 and you begin to get a feel for Lightning Sealed. Theo, Colby and the whole cast move forward in this continuing race toward the climax. We get to see more of the cast and we begin to see the development of things previously not considered. This is an amazing read that ends way too soon, but then it doesn't really because we know there will have to be another episode, right? I mean shoot, this read rocks. I laughed, I cried (okay so maybe I didn't cry actually, but I definitely needed a tissue.), I gasped, I was overwhelmed with everything Theo and Colby. Buy it, read it and wish for the sequel as I am right now. Please Lila, don't make me wait too long!!!

Lightening sealed is book two of the Lucent series. Lila has us guessing what’s in store for Theo and Colby’s future.

I do have to say this story is very unique and amazing. I’ve read many books over the years. Thousands of them. I haven’t read a story quite like this one. There so much to say but I can’t without giving away what happens. We do learn Torrent’s motives and true feelings. The imagery is gorgeous and certain scenes are so thought provoking, I cry when thinking about them. I can’t wait for the next one.

I love everything that Lila Felix writes. Lightning Sealed is the second book in Lila's Lucent series. I fell in love with Theo and Colby in Lightning Kissed and couldn't wait to see where their story would go. These two share such a deep love for one another and will do whatever it takes to keep the other one safe. The storyline is so beautifully written in this series and I can't wait for the next book!!

Book two has picked up not to far from where book one had left us... Begging for more!
Colby suffered a great tragedy and the grief that she feels is nearly tangible, pulling at every fiber of her being...love sweet Theo!
At what point will my husband start talking to me in romantic Portugese???
I feel a little shafted here!
Colby learns more about her gift combined with Theo's and we also learn what a poo-poo head Torrent really is!
How am I supposed to sleep without book three!!!

I liked this book a lot more than the first book. Colby grows as a loving person, which is great since she was so selfish and whiny the first time around. It was beautiful to see Colby and Theo grow closer together. They go through several revelations and adventures. I'd love to see more of Collin. The ending was definitely a shocker and left me wanting book 3 stat.

Wow, it just gets better and better. I'm loving this series so much. It's hard to review without giving out spoilers but Theo and Colby are an awesome team. Lila writes with such passion and I can feel it with each sentence. It's so easy to read and enjoy.
Awesome job Lila. 5 stars plus. I can't wait for the next one.
