Max Arthur is an author who specialises in first-hand recollections of historical events. He has worked closely with the Imperial War Museum to bring together two books in the Forgotten Voices series, Forgotten Voices of the Great War and Forgotten Voices of the Second World War. Prior to becoming a writer, he served with the Royal Air Force and for some years was an actor.
A splendid pictorial biography on Winston Churchill, covering his entire life. Max Arthur provides historical context to each of the 260 pages of photographs. This book is fascination and education.
The book was good. Winston was an interesting man who will rightly always have a place in history among leaders who prevailed against adversity , and led their nations to victory.
Stunning visual record of a fascinating life ... Churchill, one of the most dominant figures of the 20th century, was well-documented by photography, as this book amply proves ... the succinct text complements the abundant feast for the eyes ...
