At last, with everything aligned perfectly, and her family occupied, Pam finds romance, love, excitement and joy with Senator Charlie Monroe and his rescued Greyhound, Margaret. But swirling around her are the antics of Dan and Julie and their exciting but exasperating relationship, the elders living a riotous life jet-setting between Babylon, Great Neck, and Florida, Alison and Diana spending more and more time with Miranda, Lisa and Ryan Maddox discovering bonds they never thought possible, Sandra finding true love, and last but not least, Sister Mary Joseph, settling in to a life of comfort and privilege at the beach. What could possibly go wrong?

Reading these Pam romances are kind of a guilty pleasure for me, one I usually indulge in while I am flying. Suzanne Jenkins must write very well, because I usually think to myself at the end, "Wow! These folks are really messed up! I think I'm done with this series!" And yet, and yet...I keep moving on to the next one, because I care about the characters and what will come next. The histories of each character are complex and troubling, and all characters are touched (in some way, either during his life or after his death) by a very disturbed and charming man, Jack, who leads a double life of truly staggering deception. Watching the women and men move forward and recover from his choices, even years later, is fascinating. I think I will be reading Pam of Babylon 13: Meet Me at the Beach, after all!
Awesome and thought provoking! Every Novel in this series was filled with a massive about of reality. As a writer, Suzanne Jenkins is almost superb. Thank you for getting Pam's head out of the sand, but since Jack loved Sandra more, please give Pam that forever love she deserves more than Sandra. I loathe Sandra. Thanks for writing this series. Why did you write it?
Loved this series! I've become emotionally attached to the characters and hope more comes from the author. She writes with a steady pen, and from her heart. Fast paced, well thought out plot, with a great plot. You never go wrong reading her novels.
Another wonderful Pam of Babylon story. I always look forward to reading what is happening with the characters in this series and this one did not disappoint me in the least. I LOVED it.
Pam and Charlie are the new hot item and possibly heading to the White House. Charlie is running for President and could very well win. Pam will make a wonderful First Lady. Will all work out for them or will someone come between them too? We can surely hope not. It's about time for Pam to have her true happiness and get over Jack. Personally I think she should have when she found out about Sandra but she did love the jerk. Charlie is almost too perfect. I love him.
The changes in some of the characters are good. It's about time Dan started acting like a man. With Julie he seems to be growing up. Sandra.. Oh boy do I hate to start expecting to like her. The town tramp. I honestly do not like her at all but for little Brent's sake I hope things work out for her too. Maybe she will start being a real mother to him and stay true to a man. Not someone else's man but her own. Lisa and Cara are cooling it and moving on with men. I'm not so sure about Lisa and Ryan though. He is not right for her.. or is he? You have to decide that one. I love Sister Mary and her new life. Can't say much about that either since it will spoil things. But I do like her.
I still can't stand Cassandra and she really shows her true colors every time she is around Pam. Plain jealousy is all it is. Since she has John back she needs to go on and be happy with her life and leave Pam alone.
I love this series and have from book 1. It's a series that will keep you turning pages and wanting more. This one ended way to soon for me, as they all have. I want to know what is going to happen next with Pam and Charlie. So I'm hoping Ms Jenkins is almost finished with the next book.
I have to give this book another 5 stars. It's a wonderful story and continues on with the Pam Smith story. I honestly loved it from start to finish. Can't wait for the next one now.
Once I start a Pam book I can't put it down. It just pulls me in and I read it almost in one sitting. What a great talent Suzanne Jenkins has as an author. I love all her books but the Pam series is my favorite. I do sometimes wish there was a character list with a description of each in each book. Sometimes it's hard to keep all the players straight when you're starting a new book and it's been awhile since you've read the last one.
Another book of Suzanne Jenkins I couldn't put down. The saga of Pam and her family continues. The author is a magician at weaving so many characters together and coming up with stories that fit them all together. The book left me satisfied, but as usual dreading the wait until the next installment is released.
Enough already...It has been well established throughout the series that the Smith Family is insane. (And I must be insane too for continuing to follow this saga.) Almost every family member has slept with a family member or potential family member, kept secrets, lied, died or something more sinister.
I am so enthralled with the Pam of Babylon series that I feel like I'm going through withdrawal when I finish a novel. As always, Suzanne Jenkins has continued to immerse me into the life of Pam.
another suzanne jenkins pam book great read with a twisted plot had to read it if you want to find out what pam and Sandra and the rest off the gang are up too.
