This book/novella took me by surprise. It was really short, but I can't say sweet :').
I couldn't get used to the characters or connected to them that much in this short time while reading.
I can't even judge or state my point of view when it comes to them.
I feel like this wasn't enough, but still I won't be interested if this was a long book.
Charlie is ruthless and cold, but a woman changes everything. His change takes me by surprise and I wasn't so convinced.
Vera had this strange shift. I didn't get her. And I was shocked by her reaction at the end.
Ugh, I can't make up my mind. I didn't hate it, but I am not in love. But Mary Catherine Gebhard is a must read author for me. Her books always manage to surprise me.
I can't grasp the relationship between Charlie and Vera or how quick it developed, but one way or another they are tied.

Quick and dirty
This is a short dark read that pulled me in. I haven't read the other books in this series, but I am definitely going to. This story goes to show that some of the best things can come out of the worst things. Not all love is cut and dry. Love is unconventional and can happen at times that seem hopeless.

I thought that Mary Catherine Gebhard did very well with this novella. It is a different story that I have ever read and I could not put it down once I started it!! I had to know how things ended for Charlie and Vera!!
Charlie is a twisted and sort of sick character. He likes to kill and that is what he has resorted to doing with his life now. When an old buddy of his calls in a favor, he knows that he has to drop everything he is doing at that moment and get to what he needs. When he tells him that he needs him to rescue a girl, he never dreamed that she could possibly change the way he sees life and himself.
Vera has been kidnapped and is being beaten and tortured every day that her captor gets his hands on her. She is kept in a cement room with nothing but a mattress on the floor. When Charlie comes to rescue her, she thinks that he is an angel because she is so far gone when he finds her. She lets him carry her to safety an take care of her. When Charlie puts her in his bed, he knows that there is something different about this one for him. How will Vera change Charlie?? You need to read this novella to find out. Such a great quick read that I am glad I got the chance to read. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

If you have read Let Me Go, you must having been impatiently waiting for this novella like I have. If you haven’t read that book, no worries, you can read this as a standalone.
Vera has been kidnapped and Charlie has been called to save Vera. He finds her and instead of putting her on a plane, he drives her to his house. Charlie finds Vera special and can’t say goodbye to her yet. Vera doesn’t trust him, but Charlie calms her and takes care of her.
I loved both Charlie and Vera. Charlie is amazing. I loved the way he took care of Vera. Charlie is Vera’s angel. Vera is a very strong woman. So many things have happened to her, but she never gives up.
It’s a short novella, but there is still a plot and suspense. We also get to meet the Boogiemen and I can’t wait for Seven’s book. I really wished this novella was longer, because I want to read more about Charlie and Vera and maybe a little more development of their relationship. I really loved the ending.

After reading Let Me Go I couldn’t wait to get my hand on this book. This is short and ohhhhhhhhhhhhh so sweet. Charles is a little different kind of saver his past isn’t a guy you would want to take home to mom. When a buddy calls him and asks him for a favor in rescuing a woman he drops everything to save her. The state he finds Vera leaves him with nothing else to do but to take her home and take care of her. She does not trust easy. Charles doesn’t have a clue how this women is about to change his life. With this being a short read there isn’t much else you can say without giving the story away.
Ms. Gebhard writes a story with characters you can relate to one that will touch your heart. This might be short and sweet but the author leaves nothing out giving you a well written read which you will totally enjoy. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Charlie has been called to rescue Vera and put her on a plane, but he finders Vera special and needs to get to know her and instead he drives her to his hidden house.
Is Charlie Vera's engel and can she trust the mystery guy ?
A short novella and a fantastic one. It got me captured and I couldn't put it down I had to find out about Vera and Charlie. It was a tough story but not in a unpleasant way. I really loved Vera and Charlie and I really think the author did a fantastic job and I can't wait to read the next one.

This is not your typical romance story. There aren't any lovey dovey scenes. There are mentions of violent acts and the sex scene between Charlie and Vera is hard and fast. Charlie is a man without conscience or remorse when it comes to carrying out his "duties". However, you do see a glimpse at the man inside in the way he brings Vera her meals. Vera is a woman who has been beaten many times but is not truly broken. Together they find what they need in each other. This is the first book I've read by this author which means I have not read the rest of the Owned series. I want to go back and read them to learn more about a few characters that were mentioned. However, reading the first two first is not really necessary to understand what is going on in this one.

Very short story, fast paced relationship. Crazy ex-boyfriend kidnaps Vera. Charlie has been sent to find her. Once found its love at first sight for him. He doesn't want to let her go. Vera's cautious of Charlie but starts to find her own feelings for him. After a few bumps and bruises along the way Charlie and Vera get their HEA. I enjoyed reading this short story. It didn't go in depth much into the characters histories or give me more emotional meaning, but it was a quick beginning to end not your normal boy meets girl, fall in love, love story, but it worked out well and gives you that HEA!!

Charlie and Vera meet under very disturbing circumstances. Charlie has no problem with working as a killer. He is chilling in how casually he takes a life. When he is asked to do a favor and retrieve a woman kidnapped by a drug dealer, he thinks it will be an easy assignment.
Vera has made bad choices in men and they haunt her. She is about to give up on surviving when Charlie finds her. Their relationship is very unusual. Charlies has a lot of issues with losing his leg and Vera wants him to make himself vulnerable to her. They both set something in motion that neither expected.
It is a very intriguing short story.

I really liked this book! I'm not usually a reader of darker or more serious themed books, but I have to say that (even though Vera goes through some awful things) it wasn't too heavy to read.
This is only the second book I've read by Mary Catherine Gebhard but I really enjoy the relationship between her characters. They're very unique and I like how they learn to be together and heal each other.
Tied is the novella after the first 2 in the series and I don't think they're necessary to read before this (I haven't yet!), but I do think that I'll be going back to read about Grace and have a better understanding of the series!

Is Vera falling in love or developing Stockholm Syndrome. She was kidnapped, abused, rescued then held hostage and that's just the first chapters! Vera may not be in ideal situations but she maintains her inner self- a strong sexy fierce female even if her life is on the line she doesn't deviate from who she is. Charlie is a total bad ass. But not the typical bad ass, he has heart and obvious flaws and he doesn't hide behind. These characters stay true to themselves in face of all the craziness and adversities.This book has many dark elements but I love how it develops.

Charlie doesn't know what overcomes him when he rescues Vera for Zero. He is finally feeling something. Vera just isn't sure what is going on, she is scared but feels pulled to Charlie.
If you are looking for a bit of action and a fast paced story, with some intense scenes, this is it for you.

I loved this story of Vera and Charlie. Short and sweet. Vera is rescued from her ex, Zero by Charlie after Zero had kidnapped her. Charlie wasn't expecting let Vera get to him when it came to feelings for her. But that's just what happened and she ended up feeling free with him. I wish I had more but being a novella it is shorter than a novel. I'll just have to wait to read the final book in the series soon!!

This was a quick, easy read, short but not sweet. Honestly, it felt almost like an appetizer. I would have liked to have seen more of Charlie. Vera had gotten herself kidnapped, and Charlie was called in as a favor to rescue her. I would have liked to have gotten to know Charlie a bit better, but he's definitely the perfect, alpha hero! I will read more by this author, I think she will write wonderful things in a full length novel!

Tied is a great story, it takes you along for the ride with Charlie and Vera as they overcome their individual situations to find each other, it does have some dark situations in it and some dark and dangerous characters but it flows well and moves along steadily

This was a good story. It's a continuation of You Own Me and Let me Go. It's interesting to see what happened to Vera from the earlier stories. I think I just wasn't as into it as the others because it's a novella and it's hard for me to get into a short story. As usual the writing was excellent. :)

I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a dark, intense, fast paced, hot, steamy read. I was hooked from beginning to end by Charlie and Vera's story. This is the first book I've read by this author and I will definitely be checking out the other books in the Owned series!

What if your hero was a bad, dark man?
That's Charlie in a nutshell. He doesn't think he's good enough to be worthy of anything, but oh is he wrong... Vera + Charlie are perfection. My only complaint is this novella was too short!

A good quick read, although it is much too fast paced and much too short to really connect with the characters and appreciate the series of events. I wouldn't mind having this made into a full novel.

I loved the story between Charlie and Vera. I didn't expect what was happening. So happy for the outcome.
