I like the Florida location and mostly new friends much better. this story involves a self centered and abusive husband, a missing wife on their honeymoon and her intrusive sister. then a missing bride turns into a murdered one. twist in the plot.

Jeffrey and Amber Mitchell are planning to spend their honeymoon at the Beach House B&B in Calgon, FL. Unfortunately, Jeffrey seems to be somewhat controlling and rude toward his new wife. The newly weds had hardly settled in when Amber's sister, Ashlie, shows up at the inn. Where Amber seems to be very quiet and reserved, Ashlie is very outgoing and energetic. To make matters worse, Ashlie does not seem to want to allow the couple any time alone.

When Amber suddenly disappears, neither Jeffrey nor Ashlie seem to be concerned. Missy, on the other hand, is very concerned for Amber's safety and asks her husband, Detective Chas Beckett to investigate the disappearance.

What happened to Amber? Is she safe? Why did she leave? Can Missy figure out what happened?

Summer Prescott has another winner with this episode of the Frosted Love series. With short chapters the book is a quick read, but still has a lot happening. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing clear to the end.

Too Dark

This book is only a cozy mystery by mere threads. The subjects of spousal abuse and vicious serial killing are not “cozy” subjects. I understand from reading the Author’s note that this book was written several years ago and nothing I say will change any of her future books; however, I will let others know to not
read this book.
The last several books have been getting less cozy as they go. The Author says she was going through a dark period herself but the reader should not have to be a part of that. Cozy readers read to escape real life, not be exposed to more of it. The Author stole money from the readers looking for a cozy mystery.

Newlyweds come to the B&B for their honeymoon, she's sweet and he's a little controlling but imagine everyone's surprise when her sister shows up a couple days later to join them, it's a very weird situation even more so when a couple days later the bride disappears. Everyone is suspicious of him, and Spencer even does a little investigating and that's where it goes down the rabbit hole. Suddenly there's a whole lot of strange things happening, and an old friend of Spencer's is keeping an eye on the situation, plenty of twists and turns in this one but WOW there is one heck of a shocker at the ending when the killer is discovered. Great read

A newlywed couple decides to stay at the B&B and something doesn't feel right. This story is a little far fetched and we meet quite a few people. I am hoping the other marines are reoccurring characters since we really just know their names at this point. Entertaining fast paced cozy murder series.

Fast read. Missys story continues!

I felt as though there were several loose ends in the book. But maybe they will be covered in the next one. Did Carla have a change of personality? Is loud Steve not such a bad guy after all? Janison was left up in the air. Guess I'll get to reading the next in the series.

This was a really good edition in a great series. I love spending time with Missy, Chas, Echo, Kel, and Spencer. The story line was really well written and though I guessed fairly early who was the culprit I enjoyed the writing and interaction of the characters so much it made no difference to me.
A great fast read.

Loved the twist

This books twist stayed with me. I really thought the motive was something very different but loved the Janssen introduction. Spencer is endearing as is Kel. I am missing Chas a bit.

Another good story

Another good story with these lovable characters. Mystery, friendship, and family- good easy read. I recommend this series, if you want something quick to read purely for entertainment. I must say I can not figure out "whodunit" I these last few stories.

A visitor

Never never know. Didn't see this one coming. Having a visitor from Hawg Heaven was a pleasant surprise. The love between friends is nice.

This isn't my favourite book in this series. I have all of the things that I normally love, a bait and switch, new characters and a lot of character development. However, the plot just falls flat for me which was really sad.

It was still a relatively enjoyable book, I just wish it was better.

the inn is the setting for a honeymoon which should be happy and full of romance. Not at the Calgon bed and breakfast. Of course, things are once again not what they seem. in this Frosted Love cozy, we get to see much more of Spencer Bengal who has already become so important in the cast of characters that make up the residents of Calgon. I have lost count at how many times he saves the day. The author is very talented at keeping several storylines going at the same time and they fit together so beautifully. Spencer is instrumental in the latest brutal murder but may also be the answer to Echo's problems as well. Christmas is coming closer and I am amazed at all that happens in the seaside town in such a short time and I am left wanting to read more.

Watch out when your baby sister invades upon your honeymoon!!!!!!

A young couple comes to the Beach House B&B for there honeymoon and gets interrupted. The husband is a bossy my-way-is always the right way and no way else. The wife a quiet sweet, wanting to please her man type.
Then baby sister show up unexpectedly and she takes over the honeymoon, the wife is the older sister and doesn't like it. The husband says let's m make the best of it since she came all this way.
Then the wife disappeared, what happened?
When his past comes up, his first wife disappeared and found dead.
Then sister distraught. What's going on?
You have to read to find out.
After all that Missy and Echo are planning a Christmas party what could possibly go wrong?

Missy and Echo take a back seat to Chas, Spenser and, even, Kel this time around when a honeymooning couple brings mystery to the B&B and Calgon. It was great to see Spenser take center stage and put his past military training to good use. There are some nice twists and turns, too. I love that this series shows that you don't need to be blood to be a family and every time I read a book in this series, it feels like coming home. As soon as I finish reading, I wish there was another already on my Kindle so I could immediately find out what happens next. You can't go wrong with this series, ever!

Love this series!

Best so far in a series that's already great. Whenever I begin a new addition to this series I feel like I'm reconnecting with family friends.

I particularly enjoyed that Chas and Spencer had expanded roles and that Missy and Echo had more emphasis on the cupcake shop.

I would recommend this book series to anyone who enjoys cozy mystery storylines. Can't wait for the next installment!

The perfect Sunday afternoon read. Enjoyable and relaxing. The characters feel like old friends and a new one gets introduced that I hope will stay around. The mystery is interesting and for once I figured it out before the reveal. I'm ready for my next " cupcake".

Little dark

This one was a bit dark for the series. So I'm glad you revised it. This series is one of my favorites. The characters are still terrific after 23 books! Thank you for writing them!

Another excellent addition

This book was slightly twisted in a way that we all hope never happens to anyone, but still a great addition.

Another great one

I was stumped yet again by who the killer was. I picked the wrong person entirely. Am anxious to see what happens next.

What can you say about a good book

I loved the entrance of a new character. This book was a sad murder but also well put about spousal abuse. I really liked the ending.
