IT CAME FROM OUTERSPACE... and it was ready to fight! Mark is sent out into space by his father to deal with an all too familiar villain. It seems his father is too busy saving the world with The Guardians of the Globe and he needs Mark to fill in for him. Mark's lazy Sunday afternoon is ruined when he's forced to face his most formidable foe so far! Lucky for him, though, his mother is cooking pork chops tonight...his favorite.

Don't ya just hate it when you travel so long to an incorrect location? This story was part of the TV series so it was nice reading this as well. Coming back to the comic series after a long time, I read the last issue last year.
I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to the bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.
Mark has some actual personality; the situation with Allen is funny (and I hope has some follow-up!); we actually see Mark frustrated that he's got some homework to do after a long day superheroing.
Invincible #5 – Who's the Boss? The Guardians of the Globe are introduced in full, with glimpses of inter-team dynamics and dysfunction. Mark’s world continues to expand, but there’s a lingering sense of tension and mystery. Omni-Man acts strangely distant, and there’s a strong sense that something big is coming. It’s a calm before the storm.
“Issue #5” starts with Omni-Man calling Mark and telling him he’s on a mission and needs Invincible to intercept a bad guy coming from outer space. He’s not over-your-head, but he’s tough. Just beat him up and keep him from entering orbit. You’ve got 12 minutes.
Invincible gets to space and gets hit from behind by a cyclops alien. The alien talks to Mark telepathically and knocks him back to Earth.
Mark gets the alien to stop and talk. The alien says he’s testing the champions of each world and reporting back to the coalition of planets how good they are. Mark thinks this is nuts but they figure out that Allen has got the wrong planet. He’s supposed to be at Urath.
At dinner Omni-Man realizes that Mark has figured out something he never bothered to.
Another cute story. Definitely a better Superboy than Superboy’s stories. 3 stars
