Everything has changed, and Mark Grayson doesn't know what to do. To make matters worse, it seems trouble is brewing here at the cemetery. It's a good thing all those heroes are on hand to help... because Mark is in NO condition to be fighting any battles on his own.

About the author

Robert Kirkman is an American comic book writer best known for his work on The Walking Dead, Invincible for Image Comics, as well as Ultimate X-Men and Marvel Zombies for Marvel Comics. He has also collaborated with Image Comics co-founder Todd McFarlane on the series Haunt. He is one of the five partners of Image Comics, and the only one of the five who was not one of the original co-founders of that publisher.

Robert Kirkman's first comic books were self-published under his own Funk-o-Tron label. Along with childhood friend Tony Moore, Kirkman created Battle Pope which was published in late 2001. Battle Pope ran for over 2 years along with other Funk-o-Tron published books such as InkPunks and Double Take.

In July of 2002, Robert's first work for another company began, with a 4-part SuperPatriot series for Image, along with Battle Pope backup story artist Cory Walker. Robert's creator-owned projects followed shortly thereafter, including Tech Jacket, Invincible and Walking Dead.

Okay, then things are definitely different from this issue onward as compared to TV series as that might have covered half the issues perhaps? So it's very good then I will get to enjoy a different story and probably so let's enjoy the journey.

I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to bits, may comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

The show definitely made the characters better

“Issue #8” starts with Mark’s father (did we ever get his civilian name?) being questioned by… the Question? Rorschach?

About the murder of the Guardians of the Globe.

Invincible flies into his bedroom window to find a crying Atom Eve. Apparently Rex-splode was cheating on her. Then his mom comes in and orders them both downstairs to scold them. Then his dad comes in and tells them they have a funeral to attend tomorrow.

Omni-Man is getting ready for the funeral when his wife (Debbie) reminds him that Mark’s birthday is next week. She thinks he’s having a hard time with the deaths.

At the funeral it is well-attended by super-heroes. Even some villains show up to pay their respects.

I recognize Savage Dragon but I don’t know if the others are ‘real’ or made-up. You know what I mean.

But then Black Samson’s butler shows up in a flying suit of armor wanting revenge. They quickly take him down.

Black Sampson lost his powers and was having the tailor make him a suit that would create artificial powers.

This definitely got a lot more interesting! Some things have been set up for the future that look promising. 3 stars

Invincible #8 – Slight Return
The world reels from the Guardian massacre, but Mark is still in the dark. He continues with school, hero work, and bonding with Atom Eve. This contrast between normalcy and hidden horror creates a strong emotional tension. The reader knows the truth, and it’s terrifying watching Mark live life unaware.
