Knowing my location at any moment would put me no further ahead at t+1.Sorry, I guess I just don't fetishize science/technology that much. The humanoid also launches into rambling explanations of what's going on, when s/he seems to be in the middle of urgent and complex tasks. (Elsewhere, there are multiple appearances of "aliquot". And should I be amused that in "A Niche", the softer, more sensitive character is named "Clarke", and the harder, more brash/confident character is named "Ballard"? Sigh.) It's too bad; there are some fascinating ideas and POVs here.
