Inhibitions, Unrestricted, and Freed all bundled together with bonus chapters and a sneak peak at Fallacy, book one in Quinn and Alex's story.
Inhibitions
In the last six months, Ashley’s life has been one disappointment after another. She walked in on her boyfriend with another woman, leaving her needing a new place to live and a mountain of debt. As if that wasn’t enough, her ex convinces her that his infidelity is her fault for being unadventurous in bed. Deep down Ashley has always had the desire to be wild but has been held back by her own insecurities. She’s desperate to break free, but she's fearful of how people will judge her if they know her inner desires. She wants nothing more than to lose herself in sex that pushes her to the limit, but she hasn’t found anyone she trusts enough to take her there until she meets Tanner. Tanner doesn’t trust anyone outside of his inner circle easily. The infamous, media proclaimed playboy, quarterback is tired of people using him for money, connections and to get their fifteen minutes of fame. Determined to protect his image and himself, he makes sure to keep most people at arm’s length until Ashley is thrown into his life. He’s inexplicably drawn to her, and she needs his help in more than ways than one. But to help her, he’ll need to let her in. There’s an immediate attraction and connection that neither can deny, but can both of them get past their inhibitions and find what they are looking for in each other or will everything backfire in their faces?
Unrestricted
The Earning forgiveness isn’t easy. Especially when you can’t forgive yourself. How do you begin to right your wrongs? How can love recover after devastating heartbreak and betrayal? What happens when everything becomes unrestricted?
An UnInhibited Novella
The road to happily ever after hasn't been easy for the Garrisons. Blissfully married with a baby on the way, this should be the happiest time in their lives. Except, Ashley can't fully escape the dark shadows of their past. Will Ashley and Tanner be forced to endure more heartache or will they finally be freed?
Mr Man here rejects this perfectly worthy pregnant heroine because he firmly believes, despite all evidence to the contrary, that its not his baby. He's words and actions are truly nasty and hurtful.
When he DOES pull his head out of his ass, she has NO time for said stupid ass. She stood strong and firm through his attempts at groveling. She's now living and working hard for her baby and their future. Is she sad about the breakup? Of course she is. Is she ruled by this sadness? Definitely not. Did she jump his bones when her riotous pregnancy hormones took over? Of course she did. Then she cleaned herself up and told him to stop getting his hopes up. I love her and I want to be her friend.
Then all hell breaks lose.
Late in her pregnancy she miscarries due to a vehicle accident.
She suffers. Hard and long. Physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally. She battles months and months of bitterness, depression, grief, anger, a broken arm, 2 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a dislocated knee. She's held together by metal rods and screws, and eventually by her own will and therapy.
I cried with her. I felt her frustration and pain and utter worthlessness. The author did a brilliant portrayal of a defeated almost-mother. She was so so close to having her baby. My heart broke for her. She wallowed in her darkness despite pressure and judgement from others who apparently know how long it takes for a woman to get over her loss. That shyte she could have done without.
In my eyes she was real and worthy.
Mr Man on the other hand...sigh...of course he cant handle the heat nor the months of rejection so he throws in the towel. Moving on...cos that's what he does so well.
Obviously she has the come to Jesus moment and finally chooses him. And of course he's now two-minded because he's been hurt sooooooooooo much by her. I had to lean way back to pick up my eyeballs laying behind my head at this point
Ow drama is plenty and throughout: lies and manipulation, to which the H is mostly oblivious. Until he has his own come to Jesus moment...sigh...
Knock knock. Who's there? Arthur Arthur who? Ar THURD book!
Why? These 3 books could have been one nice solid book because it did drag at times.
NTS: Your tenses are all over the show, clean it up!

WOW! This series took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I can't believe this is Kimberly's debut series. Any author who can swear like sailor, write sex so hot it scorches and who can use the word 'discombobulated' just made me a firm lifetime fan! This box set of the Uninhibited Series is a must read but be prepared for all the passion and feeling that this story evokes and the ups and downs you follow with the characters. Kimberly tackles some serious issues in this series that could be difficult for some readers but she does it in such a way that is sensitive, thought provoking and with several POV that it's hard not to fall in love with this series and the characters she has created.
Inhibitions - Book 1 We are introduced to Tanner Garrison, a Quarterback for the New York Jets whose reputation in the media proceeds him as a cheating playboy and Ashley Mitchell a lifestyle writer for The City Press who unexpectedly lands herself the job of interviewing the normally interview shy Tanner for a sports piece that Ashley feels is way out of her comfort zone. Of course things never go smoothly and fireworks erupt in more ways than one during their interview and so begins an interesting relationship between two people who feel sparks for each other but, who have so many issues from their own pasts and experiences that they can't help but misunderstand and hurt one another along the way.
Tanner is an amazingly written alpha male who likes to take charge and boy does Kimberly make him sexy. He appears confident in all aspects of his life and plays into a role that I think most female (and some male) readers love to fantasize about in their own lives. When he tells an insecure and self-doubting Ashley, 'There is nothing more sexier than a woman who knows what she wants in the bedroom. Your confidence was such a turn on', my heart (and other parts) just about melted then and there and made me want a Tanner of my own! Funny how Kimberly anticipates this of her readers as Ashley later claims, 'Every girl should have a Tanner, but not my Tanner. I'm not giving him up without a fight', which made me laugh out loud and then in the back of my mind lay down my own challenge for Tanner.....Kimberly just makes him that hot!
Ashley is much meeker and is very self critical and lacking in confidence after a couple of hurtful incidents in her past, especially when it comes to her own sexual need/wants/desires. She is described by Tanner as a beautiful woman whom he can't seem to get enough of but, this 'ordinary' girl next door character is written so well that when Tanner uses his dominant personality to bring out Ashley from her shell where she is hiding, it makes for some very hot and steamy sex that certainly gets the reader a bit jealous and hot under the collar.
The secondary characters in this book also make it such a great read. Melissa, Tanner's friend with benefits high school friend is only briefly introduced in this book but you can just tell she is going to be trouble and isn't as nice and easy going as she seems. Quinn, Ashley's best friend and roommate is just so sassy, colorful and down-right naughty she is the added humor and lightheartedness that the book needs at times. She is such a lovable character but I have a feeling that despite all of her confidence and attitude, underneath lies a very different woman who I'm sure we will see more of throughout the series. Alex, Tanner's best friend is almost a male version of Quinn and although his cheeky and mischievousness only seems to come out around the female characters, he is Tanner's voice of reason and I hope we see much more of him in book 2.
Ashley and Tanner are made for each other in every way and although in this first book a lot of the story is based around them getting to know each other (mostly physically), the deepening friendship and dare I say it developing love, that builds up is just so magnificently written by Kimberly that I was unable to put down the book. Their many ups and downs.....of which there are a few and which I don't want to spoil, had me hating and loving both characters throughout the book. The biggest and significant issue that leads into the second book had me screaming at Tanner and wanting to cuddle up Ashley and shelter her from the storm. I was right there along with her crying my eyes out. But this is where Kimberly works her magic and entices you to read the next book so that you can see how this all plays out. A five star book which I am glad I read and definitely couldn't wait to read the second part of this series. I'm just going to need to refill the tissue box and put on my boxing gloves first!
Unrestricted - Book 2 This book resumes right after the shattering ending of Inhibitions and we find a very angry Tanner drowning his sorrows and resuming his 'relationship' with Melissa who seems to be taking great delight in manipulating a very confused and vulnerable Tanner. At this point the boxing gloves are off for me and all I want it do is scream at him and pound him until he sees sense. Kimberly does a great job of writing this side of Tanner because as the reader I hate his guts.....much the same way Ashley does.....and I wonder whether the dominant, charming, sexy man we found in Inhibitions isn't actually just a very big stupid jerk!
Ashley has reverted into the shell she was coming out of and has become a one woman force to be reckoned with! At first I cheered her ability to pick herself up and take on Tanner and his idiocy but, when Tanner finally comes to his senses with a lot of help from Alex (I love this man too!) and tries to mend what is obviously a spectacular f**k up on his part I just began beating my head on the wall out of frustration with Ashley. I get the hurt, anger and deep loss of trust she now has developed with Tanner but boy did I just want to lock them both in a room and not let them out until they hashed things out and had amazingly romantic make up sex. Sadly this was not meant to be and an even more catastrophic event occurs that just had me curling up in a ball crying and wondering why Kimberly was such a mean author.
Kimberly takes this journey to the next level with this book and I was blown away by the amount of emotions she was able to pull out of me. This my fellow readers is an AMAZING author with skills and talents that hook you in believing she is taking you on a journey in one direction and then slyly and deviously manipulate the story and goes somewhere you never even thought you could go. What follows in this book is too hard to describe without actually giving it away but the two heart rendering scenes in the hospital (once read you will understand which ones), the first with just Tanner, the second with Tanner and Ashley had me so emotional that I was right there with them in that hospital room whaling with my heart shattering into a million tiny pieces.
What follows is some really tough reading with a very bitter, angry, depressed and heartbroken Ashley who punishes those around her, particularly Tanner who massively redeems himself in this book and blows me away with just how much the author (and Ashley) puts him through. Quinn and to some extent Alex remain firmly up front with the primary characters in this book and I truly hope that once this series is complete, Kimberly will give us their story too.
When this book finishes you do feel the roller coaster of emotion that Kimberly has produced in her amazing writing. You can't help but love these four characters in these novels and I can only hope we see so much more of them. They are by far some of the finest characters I have seen written and have cemented a place in my heart.
I can't believe this is Kimberly's first foray into writing and if she continues to write like this, her books continue to be so well put together and characters well loved that she will find herself inundated with requests for more and more. I can't wait for the next book....my only hope is that she continues to produce such amazing stories.
Freed - Novella This novella picks up right where Unrestricted finishes and I did a little dance of joy knowing that Kimberly hadn't left us totally in the dark about what happened next! I won't spoil it but for me this was the HEA I was looking for and although this novella is simply a short glimpse 2 years down the line, so much has changed for Ashley, Tanner, Quinn and Alex that it's great to check in with them. This is a sweet extension of the story and again in true Kimberly Bracco style she adds in the drama and flare that she has exhibited throughout the Uninhibited series.
Don't worry, Kimberly simply extends and revisits a part of the story that for other authors, who are not so bold and adventurous in their writing would have made their original story all about instead of taking us on such an emotional roller-coaster as Kimberly has done. She doesn't spoil anything and gives the reader something special to hold onto for this exceptional couple she has created. My only sadness is that Quinn and Alex have ended up where they are.....but again I am glad to see that Kimberly Bracco's next series follows these two and I can't see where she takes them.
Ashley and Tanner are an unlikely pair, but Tanner’s sweet talking and persistence pulls Ashley in and she is able to help him in ways that others couldn't and have refused.
The “extras” in this book are also great characters! Ashley’s best friend, Quinn, is the best friend I think everyone wishes they had. She’s outspoken, even abrasive, but she also loves with everything she has. Tanner’s best friend Alex is almost exactly like Quinn -- and they find something in each other that Ashley and Tanner don’t even know about.
There were many quotes in this book that really told the story for me. Ashley is coming off a bad break up - witnessing her boyfriend with another woman in her house - and Tanner is anti-relationships, but somehow they still find something in each other worth going after. One of my favorite quotes is from Tanner and literally made me swoon.
“Let go, baby,” he says. “I’ll catch you.”
I was crazy at the end and couldn’t wait to get my hands on the next book - which luckily is now available, too.
On a different topic, my first note in this book was that the “f” word is used a lot so if you’re easily offended by that, this book may not be for you...however, the story and characters in this book will really grab you and pull you in so that you can’t leave. Prepare yourself!
Unrestricted 4 out of 5 stars
I was so happy to get the conclusion of this story. Inhibitions really brought me to love these characters and left me worrying about what was going to happen. I spent a lot of time reading this book not liking certain characters at different times and really finding a strong HATE relationship for Melissa, Tanner’s former friend with benefits.
This story was hard for me because Ashley found herself in a place where she didn’t want to be and Tanner left her there alone in the beginning. But then when things were really bad for Ashley, she refused to let Tanner back in to help. Tanner didn’t take no for an answer though. He came and did everything he could for her despite her hatred of him and the way she acted towards him.
The emotions in this book were so strong from the very beginning. I loved reading more from Tanner’s POV in this book.
It’s hard for me to write this review without spoilers so I’m just going to say that I really enjoyed the conclusion to Ashley and Tanner’s story and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a second chance romance with some definite drama involved.
Freed 4 out of 5 stars
Ashley and Tanner broke my heart in the other two books in this series -- and put it back together. In this one, Tanner was so perfect that I wanted to jump thru the pages and be the object of his affections.
Ashley still drives me a little crazy with her neediness, but if I had someone to treat me like a queen the way she does, I might be more needy too.
This book is a great wrap up to their emotional journey to parenthood. I loved the character development that continued to happen thru this story and the love that was shared. Ms Bracco did a great job of bringing back some of my favorite characters and continuing their story with just the right amount of drama and definitely the right amount of Tanner’s alpha-ness!!
I am so happy to have stumbled upon this series because it was FANTASTIC!!!! This series revolves around Ashley and Tanner along with their two best friends, Alex and Quinn. The first book makes you fall in love with Tanner and Ashley then moving into the second you are thrown for a loop when Ash and Tanner are faced a tragedy. Tanner makes a huge mistake and pays for it dearly. Tanner feels that because of his mistake, Ash pays for it and he is trying to make up for it, but it might be a little too late. The second book was a rollercoaster of emotions. I cried a whole lot and loved and rooted for Tanner and Ash the whole way through their journey. Tanner completely redeems himself about 15% into the second book. Once he was redeemed then came me wanting to strangle Ashley. But, Quinn, oh Quinn, I want her as my best friend and her and Alex are so perfect together. In the last little novella, while Ashley and Tanner's story is wrapped up nicely, we are left with a WTH with Alex and Quinn. I really hope their book is coming soon. I highly recommend this series. A copy was gifted in exchange for an honest review. I give this series 5 AMAZEBALLS stars!!
I found out about this series from an author spotlight on a FB blog (I <3 Books), and I was so glad I discovered Kimberly Bracco! Between the 3 books in this set, I went through every emotion right along with the characters: angst, lust, fun/humor, betrayal, heartbreak, redemption, hope. It was a satisfying read and a bargain price at $1.99 for this set! The first book (Inhibitions) is FREE on Kindle, but after finishing it, I quickly purchased this set to finish the trilogy. I binge-read the entire series in 1 weekend because I couldn't put it down, and I swiftly moved on to the spin-off book, Fallacy. Particularly with Inhibitions, it reminded me of a combination of The Baller (by Vi Keeland), the Heartless romance serial (by J. Sterling), and Fifty Shades of Grey. If you're a fan of those books and/or those authors' work, you will love this series! Kimberly Bracco is an author to watch!
Ok so half way thru this series Kimberly ripped my heart out of my chest with her words. I cried. I yelled and I wanted to throw my kindle out the door.
Up until then I had enjoyed Tanner's cocky attitude and Ashley's innocence turned vixen. But suddenly when life got real, my heart ached for them both. And at one point I even hated them both (for different reasons).
When you pick up this book, be fully prepared for an emotional ride that is worth every word.
I fell for Tanner, Ash, Quinn, and Alex. You will too. Inhibitions go right out the window with the right person... But when that person blames you for their pain, love becomes unrequited and leaves you with Unrestricted pain bleeding out on the floor. Freed is how you feel when that love is returned!
5 stars. I absolutely loved reading Tanner and Ashley's love story again, and getting to meet Michaela. This series is a must have buy it you won't be disappointed.
