Rate this book
Amazon best-selling author Kennedy Chase brings you the fourth book in the no.1 Harley Hill Cozy Mystery series.

For the first time ever, super sleuth Harley Hill is due to meet her mysterious parents, but when a young girl sees an interview with Harley on TV about her crime solving skills, Harley is torn. Should she go to America to meet her parents, or stay to help the young girl who appears homeless and desperate in the search for her own missing father?

Torn, Harley decides she can manage both. But when she and her business partner, Cordelia Silvers, and their two sleuthing pets, Monty and Max, start their investigations, they soon realize that this is no ordinary missing persons case. It’s actually a murder case!

It doesn’t take long to identify a number of suspects, from a business rival and jazz club owner, a high-society museum curator, and a bad boy biker with a secret. Faced with her impending meeting with her parents, Harley must use all her skills if she is to uncover the murderer.

Harley Hill 4 is a non-violent, and non-bad language story featuring humor, cute pets, cakes, and a string of clues for the reader to follow along with Harley’s investigations.

More like 1.5

I read this series on and off but I think I might have to stop the 'on' part of that. It all just felt too contrived and for so many characters on Harley seems to be doing the job which for some reason really irritated me.

Meant to be a quick read when I'm flagging but I really dragged my feet on this one.

Light and entertaining, but utter nonsense. Almost gave a two star. First of all her parents career comes out of nowhere, I checked, this wasn't in previous books. Second the ending of that parental situation is a total cop out. Third, the Alex nonsense is just pointless and doesn't read true. Anyway it was a fun visit with these characters. A young homeless girl approaches Harley to find her father. They do pretty fast except a few days too late hes dead on the floor. How that wound up with the girl is also utter nonsense. But it was entertaining and engaging read

This is the first time reading this author. The main character is Harley and her partner Cordi. They own a business called Silvers and Hill Finders Agency. They have solved a couple of murders and find themselves being called on the help. Harley is a street kid who helped with the meaner side of things and Cordi is upper class and help with that side of things. They have boyfriends who help as they can and one of the boyfriends is Harley brother whom she just found recently.
They start out to help Chloe find her dad, only when they do, he is dead. Murdered . They go about it in a very different way but for them it works.
This is a page turner and I look forward to reading more .

While Books 3 & 4 of this series thankfully have much better grammar and less errors than the previous two books, I find it very irritating when a series rewrites its own history halfway through. In the first two books Harley had an older brother and two older sisters. In this book suddenly the sisters are now nonexistent as there has been no further mention of them, and the storyline now says she was the only child after her brother...
The storylines/writing otherwise remain quite creative, and I'm VERY thankful for better editing, so I will continue to read the series for now.

It was cute. My heart always goes out to the orphans and I kept craving desserts through the the book. Sam and Michael's parents were jerks. I had an issue with the whole abandon the daughter thing. I liked how she made something of herself though.

The story line was to good to put down. I like to visit other countries and see how they chalk up to the USA.

Harley and Cordi on another adventure, this time with her brother Michael. If you've been reading the others you know about the crazy accidental investigators. Harley has just found out her parents are still alive and has gotten quite close to her brother, who has become quite enamored with Cordi. Alex, Cordi's ex, is still around helping as needed but there are changes in his future. Harley's beau, Cole, is working undercover with a fraud case and makes sporatic appearances. With this fabulous crew we also have a murder, in cake. A local chef is murdered, only the cops think it's suicide. Leave it up to the Silvers and Hill Finders Agency to solve another murder for the cops. Oh, and the love triangle with Alex, Cole and Harley has gotten a little more intense. Part of me roots for Alex and his hot biker/cop persona. But Harley seems to have given her heart to Cole. As part of Chase's review team I was given a copy for my honest thoughts. Always an exciting storyline and amazing characters.

Harley and Cordi are back with a new murder to solve. Cordi and Harley's brother Mike become closer but Harely's love life is complicated and confusing or is Harley making it complicated or confusing. Harley loves being a finder or detective or Sherlock lol she can't help herself she is a natural sleuth so when a young girl Chloe lands on her doorstep asking for help to find her dad Harley just can't say no even if it means putting of her trip to the USA to meet her birth parents.
When Harley finds the man she thought was Chloe's father and he has been murdered things get more complicated, then when Harley finds out he isn't Chloe's father but her uncle Harley wonders if she will ever uncover this mystery and find the murderer.
I love this series it's funny, light hearted and super sleuthy an easy entertaining read.

Yet another great book in the series, this time showing a different side to DI Alex Cobb.
Harley is about to get on a plane to meet her parents but a young girl, in the position she was in not so long ago, asks for her help in finding her Father. So starts another case for the team, which has expanded to include Michael, Harley's brother.
Of course the book includes cake, an octenginarian hacker, and people eho aren't who the say they are. Just another day in the Silvers and Hill Finders Agency then!

Very Interesting British Cozy!

Book 4 in the Harley Hill mysteries brings some very interesting information to light. Harley solves a murder, meets her parents, & settles her feelings for both Alex & Cole, oh, & also adds a new pet to her menagerie. This is definitely a British cozy reminding me of a modern Honorable Phryne Fisher - a smart, gutsy female sleuth with her quirky sidekicks & handsome detective. Definitely worth a read.

Another great addition to the HH mysteries!!!

I absolutely love this series!! Harley & Cordi are famous now from a tv news spot, they are sought out by a young girl quite similar to Harley asked to help find her father. Who knew turn it would turn into solving a murder case! All the characters whom I've come to love from previous books are back in action & I love getting more in-depth with their personalities. Can't wait to read the next one! A must read series!

Keeps getting better!

So Harley is growing and maturing with each book and they just get better every time. She still does her sleuthing and slightly illegal activities but for the right reasons now instead of stealing etc. the relationship between her, Cole and Alex hits a for now and it's a good one but you really feel for Alex this time. I love the characters and each mystery is well written and thought out.
