“Women Rule,” that’s the way I see it. “Beside every great man there is a powerful woman. The same does not hold true for every successful woman. A lot of us are single because men want to wear the pants, even if they didn’t buy them.”

Her wonderful son, Jesse Byrd, Jr. is a 2010 graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara and producer on Mary’s film deal. Jesse has recently completed his first novel and owns a clothing business, OiseauChateau.com.
The drama never stops in the Crystal family. Blake is still successful in business but unlucky in love. Alexis always wants her cake and to eat it too. Sandara has to figure out how to get her life on track for herself and her children. Devereux has begun filming her show but has suspicions about her husband. While Mercedes needs to know if her husband is as good as he seems. Along with the Crystal clan there a a few new arrivals. This book was right up there with the first. Im addicted to the drama and where its going to lead next. I received a copy from NetGalley and the publisher for a honest review.
Much like book one felt like one long introduction, book two felt like we got midway thru the body of the story and then it dropped off. I was often confused by the reactions or actions of some of the main characters. This installment had a very sophomoric style of writing just as in book 1. The story progressed slowly. I still did not feel like I knew the characters and would have liked them to be more developed.
I've enjoyed every page of this book, the Crystal Women are not to be played with, Alexis is still up to her same tricks esp when it comes to getting that mighty dollar.
Devereaux is the producer of the hottest reality tv show and will do anything to get her fiancé Phoenix to commit and marry her.
Mercedes is still Mercedes thinking she better than her siblings, but little do she know, there is trouble in paradise.
Sandra is getting herself together finally.
Mamma Blake is on cloud nine with the new life she is about to embark on.
I love this series it well written and will keep you wanting me. I highly recommend this novel.
Normally I can't put her books down but this was not exciting. I struggled to stay focus so I could hurry and get to the end. Hope her next book picks up.
This is a very intriguing series. I love the sisters fuss among each other but still have each other's back. The way Blake and Alex sleep with the same guy but still have and show much love for each other is relatable. At the end of the day, life is full of do's and don't's, oh's and awe's but we learn from our mistakes and we move on. Well at least some of us do. Dev's and Dakota's plane was breath taken For Phoenix and Ebony and very well deserving. Yet when your circle is as small as it is in this book, what can you say? Keep your mouth and you pic to yourself. ( you just never know who knows who). After all Alex's scheming and lying, she still comes out on top. Can't wait until the next one!!! Please hurry!!
I have read so many of this Author's books and loved them. Except, this book. I could not wait to put it down. There was just too much going on and it was not enjoyable to me.
The continuation of the Crystal family drama!! Not nearly as good as the first book, but still worthy of a read. Five women living in Atlanta and drowning in dysfunction. Alexis is till the hottest of a family of hot mess.
Mary HoneyB Morrison is the Queen B when it comes to writing a drama filled, page turning novel with more than three main characters. I don't know many authors that can do that without confusing the hell out of me. It takes talent and skills to do this and Mary HoneyB Morrison does it well.
Just Can't Let Go is book two in The Crystal Series and it picks up with more drama among Blake and her daughters and their significant others and a few other folks. They're just one big reality show. Alexis makes and announcement to her entire family, including the father she just met a few months ago, her boyfriend and also her lady, that's when things begin to go from sugar to shit. Just MESSY! Messy indeed. But, I loved every bit of the mess that each character went through. The only one in the book that didn't have any problems was Blake's three-month old Yorkshire terrier, KingMaxB.
The story line flowed well. Even though the characters have flaws, and they're dealing with so much hurt and heartache, they weren't all bad either. During times of trouble the the sisters were there for each other. Because of how well written the book was I gave this book five stars and a fist bump.
The book will be available August 1, 2016.
**I received an ARC from the publisher for an honest review.**
Oh where to start. There was just so much going on in this book. Almost to the point of too much going on. I hope book 3 is a little tighter in focus. For me trying to keep up with Ebony, Alexis, Blake, Spencer, Deveraux, Phoenix, Mercedes, James, Chantal, long lost daddy and more. I will say if you like the "heat" this book has it. Great that the sisters and Mom are going to be there for each other even though it seems they are each others own enemies. Got a little lost trying to figure out how Sandara all of a sudden is becoming a super model when she seemed to have nothing going on but baby daddy issues. She was introduced and just seems to make minor appearances occasionally. There is more about James and Chantel then her. And I am oh so glad that Charlotte tagged Alexis. And hopefully Mercedes and Benjamin's story will be highlighted in the next in the series. I really like Mary B. Morrison and loved the God Don't Play series the best but I guess I will read this one to the end.
Just Can't Let Go was a very good book, it was hot and steamy. I am really enjoying the Crystal series, these five ladies has it going it, I love the way the author is giving us a little snippet of each one of their lives, Alexis is a bad chick and she does not take any mess. Devereaux has it all , or so she seems to think. Blake is looking for love, will she ever find it? Mercedes is fighting for her marriage Sandara is out on a new adventure, I am looking forward to the next book in the series and to hear about what is happening with Spencer and Goldie #Ebony. If you want a hot and steamy page turner I recommend this series.
The ARC was provided to Victorious Ladies Reading Book Club for an honest review.
Keeping up with these sisters, whew! Lots of deciet, cheating and lots of whose doing who. Phoenix straight up dog! Never ft he loved Dev, his relationship with Goldie was what he had with Dev. Spencer, his issues with his dad haunted him. Alexis is just Alexis! Mercedes, not sure yet,but she will prevail. Hopefully Blake has found the love she craves. Great Read
I had no clue that when I picked up this book from the library it was a nexus between the first novel. That explains why I felt lost with the story line. There are a plethora of characters, that are very flawed and complex. Takes a bit a effort to keep up with all of them. Lots of dramatic and erotic scenes, which kept me a least interested enough to finish the book. The plot was very trite, but entertaining at the very least.
I thought that this was a pretty fair read. One scene where the sister sleeps with her brother after the brother was sleeping with her mother says is all. It is still hard to figure out how a woman with four different baby daddies could still be looking for a man to settle down with. There is little in the way of intrigue. Infidelity reigns while a fiancée is supposedly managing an actress. I have read better from Mary Morrison.
Great story. #Goldie aka Eboni Waterhouse got on nerves with her #hagtags. Finally Alexis met her match with Charlotte. Didn't see that coming with Spencer and his father and uncle. Spencer's revenge. I am a fan of Bing he and Blake make a nice couple. Blake deserves some happiness hopefully she has it with Bing.
Page turners, all of the characters were so real. This book totally left the reader wanting more. There are so many unanswered questions. I can't wait until the next book is released.
Mary B has done it again with another hypnotic great read. This read makes me want to find Spencer....or meet Bings spider fingers. Couldn't put it down and now I'm craving for more.
looking forward to the next installment...Blake & Bings relationship...Alexis and her pregnancy her lovers James And Cheval if she gonna really change her selfish ways. who Killed Conner? Is Development gonna take Phoenix back? what is Spencer gonna do with his self?
Drama, drama, drama! And I loved every word of it! My only issue is it ended to soon and left lots of unanswered questions. I cannot wait for the next book of the series.
I got about halfway through this book. It was pretty good but it seemed kind of predictable and since I never read the first book, I wasnt so eager to find out what happens in this one. I wanted to finish it and see if it picked up but I just felt like I was wasting my precious time on this book. Maybe I'll try again when I have nothing but free time
i love this book this is the second part to a three part series which i didn't know when i first got the book but this book was mouth dropping from beginning to the end it is a must read just make sure you have all three lol
..so the sex. Is beyond amazing, the stories the ladies go through is far more than I have and it is truly helping me realize I'm not as bad off and I will be fine great read
This book was enjoyable. It was nice to return to all of the characters. Alexis is still being extra but it was nice to see all of the sisters in a new light. I can't wait to get to book 3 of the trilogy.
