Meagan Atwood and Grayson Bennett are friends. Only friends. Besties, even. If besties tend to trip over their clothes and fall all over each other. So more like besties with benefits. OK, so maybe not like ‘only friends’ at all. These two HAVE been friends for a long time and the only thing stronger than their attraction towards each other, is their denial that there’s any attraction at all.

When it becomes clear that neither actually wants to stay ‘only friends’, they start a tentative relationship but there will be many roadblocks along their way towards a HEA, if they ever reach it all. Between bullying, old nemesis and the very real threat of a murderer/rapist in the neighbourhood they also have to deal with Grayson’s past and Meagan’s issues.

I felt as though the characters were a little juvenile at times and I had an eye roll or two at their antics. There was also one particular storyline that I felt got lost and another one that I felt could have been explored with a bit more gravity but in the end, I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There were many layers to the characters and quite a it happening in the story itself. It all made for a fast-paced and exciting read.

There were a couple of twists here that I did not see coming and one in particular that left me slack-jawed in shock. I was expecting a fluffy romance novel but what I got was so much more. Underneath this sweet romance, which had its moments of hilarity, was a gritty and dangerous plot that nailed some hard-hitting subject matter.

All in all this was a great and enjoyable read with a surprisingly dark undertone.

Review by Lisa Kane

Meagan Atwood and Grayson Bennett are fighting a losing battle. They may think that they are just best friends with benefits, but both of them know that they are so much more. But Gray has a new employee at work and it's none other than Meg's nemesis, Claire Watkins, the girl who made her college years a living hell. And it seems that Gray might be dating her.

The shock of seeing him with Claire that day and the idea of my past coming back to haunt me hit me like a brick wall.

Gray is ambitious, he's one of the youngest detectives on the force and he's out to prove that this is no fluke; he is determined to rise to the top. But he and his partner are stumped over a series of rape/murders. There are lots of clues, but no real leads. But it's no accident that Gray is the best, he'll figure out who is doing this or die trying.

Meg works as a social worker specializing in working with kids who are bullied. Her own experience makes her empathetic to the pain these kids feel and she wants nothing more than to offer them the help she wishes that she had when Claire tried to ruin her life.

I wanted to dream of a future with him, but who was I kidding. The moment I open my heart he'll stomp on it and move on to Claire.

Finally Meg tells Gray exactly why she despises Claire and he is sickened by what he hears. These two have finally left the walls between them fall, but how far are they willing to take their new relationship? If it doesn't work out, will they lose the best friendship both has ever known?

Glancing between the soup and the beautiful girl sitting on my couch, I felt my chest tighten. I wasn't falling in love with her, I was already in love with her.

I adore the Love Wanted in Texas series. The way that Ms. Elliott weaves the characters into each of the stories, whether they are the main subjects or secondary characters ensures that they become familiar, old friends. Their stories don't end, they keep growing and changing and living between the pages.

"Are you ready to fall?"
"Will you catch me, Gray?"

~ 5 Grayson & Meagan Stars ~

Every time I read a Kelly Elliott book, I have this overwhelming feeling of love and romance. Chasing You was no different. With every book I fall more and more in love with this group of characters. Which in turn is sort of bittersweet because that means we are just that much closer to the end of this series and not getting more of these wonderful characters.

Chasing You is the 5th book in Kelly Elliott's Love Wanted in Texas series. Each of these books can be read as stand alones but have interconnected characters, so my recommendation is that you read them in numerical order to get the true feeling of each of these characters. One thing I did notice with Chasing You, was that we didn't see the past characters as much as we did in the other books in this series. This book was truly Grayson and Meagan's story. We do see some of the past characters but truly as a supportive role and not so much a part of the storyline.

I can't really talk much about the storyline of Chasing You, because it would spoil a lot of the twists and turns of this story. What I will say is that Kelly does talk about a subject in this book that will hit close to home for many people. I know it hit close to home for me and that was the topic of Bullying. I thought Kelly did a great job telling a true tale of what it is like to be bullied and what a person that is being bullied lives through day to day.

As with all Kelly's books we did also get a story that is filled with some fun times, romantic times, swoon worthy moments and some heartache, but as one comes to expect from a Kelly Elliott book, this story does end on a happy note and will leave you with a HUGE smile on your face. I loved that Kelly added the element of suspense to this story. She kept me on my toes for the majority of this book. She just kept throwing new twists to the story when I thought I had things figured out!!! She also had that one character we just know we are going to hate throughout the whole book….and Claire was that for me. She was like a bad rash, Grayson just couldn't get rid of her. I was ready to throat punch her by the end….LOL :)

As with every Kelly Elliott book I read, I had a hard time putting this book down. The story was just fantastic and intriguing, I couldn't read it fast enough. As I have said before Kelly has an amazing talent for creating stories and characters that you fall in love with and want to keep reading about.

I liked that we got to see more of Grace, Noah, Libby, and Lauren in this story. They were wonderful supporting characters for Grayson and Meagan. I liked that we also got to meet some new characters. Especially Ashley (Grayson's Mom) I loved her!!!!

So if you are a fan of Kelly's books, you don't want to miss this one!!! If you are a reader just looking for that fairytale romance book, that gives you a little bit of everything, then I think you should give this book a try. I am looking forward to reading Jase and Taylor's story next, but I am also sad because that will be the final book of this series and an end to these great characters.

Received an ARC for honest review.. Wholly hot damn!!! WOW! Meagan is always lived her life to make her father proud and to be a good role model for her younger sister Taylor. When Meagan meet Grayson she is instantly attracted to him and when she moved to Colorado after graduating college and started working as a council for kids who are being bullied. Everything is going well until her worst nightmare comes back into her life.. The person who bullied her in college and has now set her eyes on Grayson but Meagan is to embarrassed to Grayson what happened in college with Claire. Meagan can't take the secret anymore and can't stand that Grayson keeps talking to her when she is with him. Can Grayson make it up to Meagan before it's too late??

Grayson for the life of him can't get Meagan to call or text him back after leaving him on the side of the road one night. Grayson thinks of a plan to get Meagan to start talking to him again but he needs to put his plan into action before she figures everything out. Grayson will do anything to get Meagan to forgive him but will he be to late??

Kelly Elliott is one of my favorite authors. Chasing You shows exactly why she's one of my faves. There's everything you need in a good read in every single one of her books. There's all the feels, hot sex, dirty talking alpha males.... I mean what more do you need?

Greyson and Meghan are freakin awesome together. They made me laugh with their constant banter and their eagerness to one up each other. It was a lot of fun reading the connection. Although they do hit some pretty serious speed bumps along the way. But that's okay I was pulling for them hardcore!

Hot damn Grey is freakin perfect. He's all alpha male and protective and bossy.. *swoon* ya just gotta love him! I sure do! Meghan is a little trooper! That chick is super strong and resiliant.

I loved this book! Don't miss out on a great read!!

Amazing! Meagan Atwood, daughter of Brad and Amanda Atwood from the Wanted series, meets Grayson Bennett on a girls trip to Colorado. Then runs into him again when she visits Grace and Noah only to find out he is Noah's cousin. Sparks fly between the two and they have a friends with benefits type relationship fighting their feelings for each other.

Meagan moves to Colorado after college to work as a social worker, working with kids who have been bullied. Through out college Meagan was bullied and had no one to help her. Grayson worked as a stripper to pay for his college and became one of the youngest detectives in Colorado.

Friends just itsn't enough for these two, the chemistry is too strong. Will Meg fall for Gray? Will Gray capture Meg's heart? Will Meg go back to Texas? You will have to read it to find out, you will not be disappointed.

I received a complimentary copy of Chasing You in exchange for an honest review.

Chasing you is the 5th book in the Love Wanted in Texas series by Kelly Elliott – this book can be read as a standalone, I have not read the others in this series. I can tell you that WILL BE changing. I LOVED Chasing You! I am a big fan of Kelly Elliott – I absolutely love her writing style. She manages to grab hold of my attention and I can do nothing else but keep swiping those pages! I completed this book in 24 hours – can we say obsessed?

When I read the synopsis – my mind was boggled and was definitely intrigued:

I chased, you pushed
I chased, you friend zoned
I chased, you fell
Now I chase to protect you.

You chased, I resisted
You chased, I accepted
You chased, I fell
Now I pray you’re not too late.

I get it now, I TOTALLY get it!!

Grayson Bennett – he is the youngest detective on the force, he’s worked hard to get where he is. To get himself though college he had an interesting job - you’ll LOVE the job, trust me!! Meagan Atwood – she was bullied in college, like, real bad – she is such a strong girl!! Meg is employed by social services working with kids who have been bullied, what an amazing thing to do since she herself has been in their shoes. I honestly want to be her best friend!! So Meg and Gray are best friends……with benefits. Gray decides he wants more and sets out to prove to Meg that their relationship is so much more than hot sex.

This has to be one of the most perfect lines in the entire book:
"Are you ready to fall?"
"Will you catch me, Gray?"
Be. Still. My. Heart.

This book will chase out every emotion – see what I did there? Get it, chase? ;-) Anyway, I swooned, laughed, cried, panicked and I even had happy tears!! I cannot wait to catch up in the series – as all of the secondary characters had my heart and I don’t even know their back stories!!

5 Stars!!

5 Chasing You Stars

Grayson & Meagan
How everyone is connected to the Wanted Series.
Book 3.5 Believe - Brad & Amanda gave us Meagan

I loved that this one is different from the rest but not. Haha that doesn’t make sense but if you read it, well then it will.

I had so many feels, I teared up my heart was so full and I was scared. Yep, I had all the feels.
This book really brings you everything. I think I liked that Meagan and Gray had this history already and that they had to trust in each other.

I loved that Gray wasn’t this Prince Charming but he has flaws and he has to work through them. And Meagan had to let him. There was drama sure but it wasn’t overly dramatic. It was enough to keep you hooked.

I left off at a pretty good spot last night and continued this morning only to find myself in tears. Kelly really brought out the emotion with this one. And it was shocking and sad and your heart will hurt for all the characters involved.

I lovvvvved the end so very much it was the perfect ending and I can tell you this is my favorite of all the books so far. But you never know maybe Taylor’s story will end up being my favorite I guess we will see.

Erin and Stephen again wow. I am in awe at how each book doesn’t bleed together and how each character really does feel like they have their own voice. That’s a gift, not all narrators can pull off and these two have it.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Chasing You
Another fantastic book by Kelly Elliott

Greyson put his self through college and helped to support his mum by being a male stripper in a club. He is now a fantastic Detective, but will his past wreck his future. Falling for Meg he feels he is constantly chasing her, but is she worth the chase. Is it his past that is keeping Meg from him? Meg has always done what her father wants even going to a college away from her friends. She was bullied so badly at college it nearly ended her. Now living in Colorado against her father’s wish she works with children who are bullied. Will she ever admit to Greyson how much she feels for him, or will she end up losing him? Will she go back to Texas or stay in Colorado? I won’t say more as this would spoil it for you. This book is a page turner, I loved every page and I really could not put it down. You will not be disappointed.

Love Wanted in Texas (LWiT) Book 5, Meagan and Graysons story. I am an uber Wanted Series fan and the LWiT is the spin off series. While you probably don't have to read the Wanted Series to read LWiT I highly recommend it and Chasing You is Book 5 so you have to read books 1-4. When the LWiT series first started out I will be honest, Meagan was not one of my favorites. I didn't understand her. As the LWiT series went on though she developed and we learned a lot about her am my perception of her changed. I loved the way while this book was a roller coaster, it wasn't always that high dip. At some points you think you are going to fall but you end up just turning in a different direction then the drop comes later when you aren't expecting it. I had quit a few laugh out load moments. Meagan is a strong female character and she compliments the hotty Grayson for sure. He is for sure a serious swooner! Totally recommend this series, #ReadOn

We had two reviewers read this book, and as their ratings differed, our star rating reflects that. That's books, right?

Oh my goodness, Kelly Elliott, Meagan and Grayson's story was beautifully written. Though at times I wanted to smack some common sense to them; they were both being stubborn hard headed fools!!

Poor Meagan was bullied in college, so she vowed to help those that suffered like she did. I loved seeing her sincerity, kindness and love for these kids. Now, hottie Grayson realized how he felt about Meagan, yet she was being stubborn so he decides to play by her rules: being only friends! Ha, like he would make it that easy for her.... Oh no, he decides to make her frustrated but in a sexual way. Grayson was so sweet, loving, irritating, charming, funny that he gave me whiplash—but in a good way.

I honestly could see why Meagan had reservations about being more than friends with Grayson, but the heat he brings to her makes her toes curl with excitement. I'm not going to give much away but let me say, Grayson won me over when he has the "talk" with Meagan's dad!

These two were PERFECT for each other in every way!! A beautiful love story of second chances and allowing yourself to love and be loved! And the scorching hot sex scenes were just panty-melting delicious! ~ Kara, 5 stars

~~~
I picked Chasing You up under the impression that it was a standalone. And, in some respects, I guess it kind of is. However, if given the choice, I would recommend starting with book one and building up to this one. I felt like I was being dropped into the middle of a story. There were bits of history that I was missing and the author assumed knowledge of secondary characters that I just didn't have. Ultimately, it didn't hugely impact my enjoyment of the book—but it did make it so that it took me a long time to warm to it.
That said, I did enjoy Grayson and Meagan's story. Sometimes things moved too quickly and the protestations didn't ring true as they were resolved almost instantaneously, but these two are remarkably likeable and I probably wouldn't have been able to hold out against Grayson's charm either. They're sweet, sexy, and fun together—which, in turn, made this a fun and entertaining read.
It was far more emotional than I was expecting. I started the book a little confused but bumping along on the surface, and then suddenly, my heart was breaking all over the place as my emotions exploded everywhere. It also took an unexpectedly dark turn—I expected that there would be some suspense, but I really didn't expect how dark it was going to get. This is not a complaint because it added a depth and rawness to the story that was otherwise missing. I think this dark period is what fully invested me in Grayson and Meagan's relationship, and kept me a little bit on the edge of my seat, jaw dropped, speed-reading towards the resolution.
In the end, it was very sweet. A little suspense and action wrapped up in this feel-good, sexy love story. I recommend starting the series from the beginning (to avoid the pitfalls I fell into), but it was definitely worth the read! ~ Shelly, 3.5 stars
I received an ARC of Chasing You in exchange for an honest review.
Chasing You is book 5 in (Love Wanted In Texas) series. Meagan Atwood is the eldest daughter to Brad and Amanda Atwood. Meagan's college years was a living hell for her because of one bully called Claire Atkins. Meagan changed her field in college to help people with been bullied. During these years she guarded her heart and chose to become friends with benefits with Greyson Bennett.
Greyson Bennett is a cousin to Noah Bennett who's a striving young detective who worked his way through college as a male stripper. This is how he met the lovely Meagan, during a wild weekend with all her friends from Texas. For over two years both Greyson and Meagan have been ignoring there feelings for each other. Will Meagan let Greyson in, will Claire Watkins having something to say or does someone else have an eye on Meagan?!?!
All characters worked really well together and will have to say Greyson was definitely my favourite. Yes the whole hot detective thing may do it for some but Greyson is a real gentlemen who is not afraid of who he is and will put everyone else before himself and remembers the little things about the people who he loves.
Chasing You has some twist and turns and will keep you guessing but you will not be disappointed.
My favourite part is where Meagan helps a young man who is been bullied. Being bullied hits home for me and the struggles you face. It either breaks you or makes you and hopefully will make you stronger and not give in.
Kelly really knows how to write the intense scenes and you can really feel the emotions. Be prepared you will need tissues.
This book has a lot of emotions and once you read Chasing You you'll understand why.
It will have you wanting more and guessing and you may find that you'll want to read it in one sitting because it really is that good.
I love how with each of Kelly's books there is always a message. Number one it's always about LOVE, family and friends but within this story it's also about been BULLIED. It shows you how you can over come by being bullied by either talking to a family member, friend or a support person.
I hope someone will take something from this book about being bullied whether it's you reading this or know of someone who is. It doesn't matter how old you are no one and I mean no one deserves to be bullied. Make sure you talk to someone and never hide how you feel. It's not worth keeping it all to yourself and keeping a brave face until one day you give up. Life is to precious and you only get one chance at it or maybe two if your lucky. Life is a gift that God has given us and we should treasure it. What kills us will only make you stronger.
5 Stars for this fantastic novel.
Kelly Elliott you have done it again!!!
I know you should never judge a book by its cover but I am and have been guilty of this many times especially with Kelly Elliott's books if I'm completely honest the cover kinda put me off as they seem a little to wholesome for me. But when I saw the cover for Chasing Me I thought " Hello that looks HOT " !!!!
I read the blurb and that was it I was signed up to review it ! As this was my first Kelly Elliott book I have nothing to compare it to but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the writing style and story line my only negative point is that I waited so long to read one of her books.
Chasing You is the 5th book in the Love Wanted in Texas Series but can be read as a standalone ( I've not read any of the previous books ). It's the story of Grayson and Meagan. Grayson is an ex stripper turned police detective ( great mix ) who wants more than the occasionally f**k from Meagan. Meagan is still struggling against a long period of bullying so finds it hard to completely trust Grayson especially when her bully - Claire works with Gray. There's angst aplenty as this couple find their way to each other, parts of the story actually made my heart ache. I partially enjoyed the side story of the police investigate - I'll say no more as I don't want to spoil the story line.
For me this story had everything I enjoy in a book hot alpha male, a female lead I could relate to, a storyline that kept me entertained, romance, angst, and at times made me laugh out loud ! One liners like -" Even when I'm eager, I protect my beaver " it's hard not to laugh !
So I might be late in appreciating the greatest that is Kelly Elliott but better late than never - right !
Another phenomenal book by author Kelly Elliott!!! If you are looking for a series that gives you all the feels....swoon worthy, red hot males, feisty, OMG...'what did she say' females, angst, laughter, tears and a whole lotta love...then you need to read the Love Wanted in Texas Series!!!
Chasing You is the 5th book in author Kelly Elliott's Love Wanted in Texas Series and it is beyond amazing!!! What happens when Meagan Atwood, a quick-witted, strong feisty Texan meets sexy, swoon worthy, 'oh the things he can whisper in my ear', dear lord he can move those hips Grayson Bennett? Fireworks ignite, that's what happens!!! Are they friends, enemy's, friends with benefits?
Meg has had personal struggles, battled cruel harassment but all of that has only made her stronger! Grayson saw first hand how loved ones make sacrifices in life. He learned that some paths taken aren't always what we plan. Chasing You takes us on a journey as Meg and Gray discover the depths of true love. How they cope when demons and choices from their past keep re-emerging?
I truly loved the characters of Meg and Grayson!!! This book gave me all the feels, I cried, laughed, was on the edge of my seat, wanted to throat punch a few chicks and smack a guy or two. I highly recommend reading Chasing You, but don't stop there the whole series is phenomenal! Once you read a book by Kelly Elliott you will find yourself awaiting her next release!!!
Just when I thought no one could top Gunner with the swoon worthy and romantic words and gestures from the Wanted series, Kelly gives us Grayson! Damn..he is every woman's dream ❤️
Written from a dual POV, this is book #5 in the Love Wanted in Texas series. It could be read as a stand alone but I think you would be cheating yourself out of reading the other amazing books in the series.
There is something I have felt reading each and every book written by Kelly, and that is her making me feel like I know the characters in her books. She brings us real issues, real feelings , real life situations and struggles and god awful tragedy. There is a trueness to each of her books. You can picture yourself very easily in those situations. They are not far fetched story lines, there is no insta-love, it's attainable reality and she has a gift of making us feel the "feels" as I like to call them.
I fell in love with Grayson right away, a dirty talker in the bedroom with a heart of gold. Oh...did I forget to mention the man can dance....HOT!!!!
I loved Meg too. Her relationship with Gray is friends with benefits and very hot and steamy between the sheets.
The story took a few turns I was not expecting and I had to grab the tissues once or twice too, so keep them handy!
So dive in and enjoy the ride Kelly takes us on!!
Kelly Elliott knows Texas boys. And now she has proven she knows Colorado boys too.
Meagan and Grayson have been friends with benefits for a while. Meagan doesn't want more. She can't trust that Gray won't hurt her. Everyone else has. She is focused on making things better for kids who are bullied. Like she was.
Grayson is ready for more with Meg. He wants to prove to her that he is the one she can count on. But what he doesn't know is that he has brought Meg back to the attention of her worst enemy. The one who made her college life hell.
Gray will do whatever it takes to win over Meg. Problem is he doesn't know what it will take.
I'm so scared you're going to break my heart, Gray.
This is a Kelly Elliott book through and through. You get everything you expect from her. There are the great characters that she weaves into each other's lives. There are heart felt emotions and fully developed.
Don't ever forget this feeling, Meagan...I'm pretty sure this is what falling in love feels like.
This is Book #5 in the series, but you can read it as a stand alone. But why would you? If you have not read Ms Elliott, take the time to get to know her characters. It's worth it.
This is Grayson & Meagan's story!! This book was the perfect mix of everything that is greatness! The perfect mix of love, angst, and emotion! Starting off as friends with benefits, neither didn't see that the other was slowly falling for them! When a co-worker comes into the picture & ends up being someone from Meagan's past, I wanted to throat punch peps! Meagan is strong though!
I love Meagan's profession as a social worker! The kids broke my heart!! This book had me in my feels for sure which I LOVE!
You never know where your going to meet the love of your life. Meagan Atwood was away with her girlfriends when she first meet the Very hot Grayson Bennett. Only to meet him again at her best friends boyfriends house. Why there you may ask? Because Gray is cousins with Noah. Gray and Meagan start a friends ( cough, cough) with benefit relationship.
I loved, loved, loved this book. I truly don't know where to start. First of all I love all of Kelly's books. They just keep getting better and better. This book had a hell of a spin in it. They I think readers are going to love.
Kelly did it again! Loved this story of Meagan and Greyson. This one was HOT! The love that they shared as friends really bloomed into a full on romance. I loved the twist and turns in this novel. If you haven't read the full Wanted Series by Kelly Elliott I highly recommend ready them all. They are fabulous!
Have loved this series, since I stumbled onto Wanted! and followed them all. I have loved how each book has brought fab couples, the close knit group even close, then seeing 'The Kids' come into their own, it's been a truly great series, sad that there is only one book left.
Thank you for the opportunity of having an Arc copy of Chasing You.
Just loved hearing about Meagan and Grayson. They had great chemistry, I loved their banter and how well they got on with each other.
I'd always wondered why Meg was slightly detached from the rest of the gang, and learning about the bullying she had endured, explains a lot.
Meg really loved her job, caring and helping kids who were dealing with similar things she had. Her work colleagues, friends really were lovely.
Grayson was a sweetie, and 100% in love with Meg, I loved his 'friends' day out, they had fun, although not without any drama, loved jealous Gray.
There were a few skeletons, Gray wasn't proud of and I felt that all the while they were in Durango the past women were always going to be a continual concern. Just loved Diane, his old boss, she seemed so fun.
I loved how Meg & Gray both dealt with the drams, and spoke honestly. When Claire re-appeared I really thought that was it, but then Gray came up trumps I was elated. Claire got everything she deserved.
I really felt for Meg when Mitchell did the unthinkable, devastating, but happy Gray was the strong arm she needed.
Oh my Kelly, the twist and turns keeps the reader on the edge, loved the suspense, watching everything come together. A very testing time for them both.
The banter between Gray and his fellow detective, quite comical at times.
When they went back to Texas, Meg seemed to have a more relaxed air about her, and ecstatic when Gray also realised how happy she was.
The relationship between Brad and Gray, rocky at first but they came to an understanding. Actually all the men/fathers from wanted turned out to be lovely men. The Romance guru's made me smile, loved that we caught a glimpse of the 'old' gang.
I have been on an emotional roller coaster throughout Grayson and Meagan's story, the ups and downs, the thrills and suspense it certainly keeps the pages turning.
I loved the description on this book so I bought it right of the bat without reading that it's the 5th book in a series!!!! It's a damn good thing it can be read alone. However I am about to start at number 1(:
This book is great, it's not all light and fluffy but there's a little of everything to keep you interested.
Grayson was oh so hot!!! He was so loyal to meagen throughout the book. Although he is now a detective he didn't start out that way and had to work as a stripper to get him through collage and out of debt.. Now I don't see that as a bad thing as he provided for himself and his mother ... Oh and he learned so kick ass bedroom moves while at it to..;) but people are quick to judge and it could of caused him some issues because of said small minded people but meagan already knew about his past and although she teased him she never judged him for it. And can I just say alpha hotty! He is an awesome book boyfriend ... Protective, loyal, loving and oh so demanding (in the bedroom) ;);) what more could you ask for aye?
Meagan was also a great herion, she was fiesty and at the beginning she was a bit of a tit because of her own insecurities and past but all round she was a great lead, the fact that she made it her career to help other young people who suffered from bullying just like she did was very admirable and she really did put her heart and soul into it. She was super passionate about everything she did including Grayson, I felt heart sorry for her in parts of this book because some really tragic things happen and she deals with them the best she can but the fact that she cares that much just shows the type of person she was, even going as far as trying to help the women who got her kidnapped!!! She was just great.
They were just a great couple very well suited to eachother. With a lot of loving, humor and drama it made for a really good read.
Now I'll be starting at the beginning of the series because I enjoyed this one so much.
Beautifully Written, Suspenseful Story
The first Kelly Elliot book I read and I must say it had me from the first page. I enjoyed the way the characters came to life, in the descriptions and their interaction. It definitely was a beautiful story, with suspense and some incredibly hot scenes too. Definitely worth a read!
Chasing You – Kelly Elliot
Grayson is the incredibly hot detective, who is crazy about Meg, but she’s scared. Terrified of having her heart broken again. After the trauma she went through at college, she doesn’t want to put her heart on the line, and have it broken. As you weave your way through this story, you feel the emotion form both characters jump off the pages and pull you into their lives.
Chasing You – Kelly Elliot
Just when you think everything is going to work out, a speed bump stops them and they have to try and find each other again. I don’t want to say too much to give the story away, but man this book had me crying, laughing, and NEEDING to get to the next page with the suspense. I would definitely recommend it!
*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports. This is the fifth book in the Love Wanted in Texas series, and it is the story of Grayson and Meagan. While this can be read as a stand alone, I suggest reading the other books in the series, so you will have a better understanding of the characters.
**Warning-There are many social issues included in this book such as bullying and suicide. If this is a trigger for you, please be aware.
Grayson aka "Gray" Bennett and Meagan aka "Meg" Atwood have been in a "friends with benefits" relationship for a while now. Gray wants more, and while she is in love with him, Meg is terrified of getting hurt. After a little convincing and a LOT of romancing, Meg finally begins to open herself up to the possibility of something more permanent with Gray. As their relationship evolves, trouble and danger seem to lurk around every corner threatening to destroy everything that they are working so hard to build together. Is their love strong enough to survive, or will it just be easier to walk away?
First, let me say that I am a huge Kelly Elliott fan. She writes about real people dealing with real life situations. With that said, I must confess that this book missed the mark for me. I felt like there were too many competing story lines which caused confusion at certain points in the story. However, I really liked the characters and had no trouble relating to them. I checked out some of the other reviews that have been posted and there are many five star ones, so maybe it was just me who had an issue with the book. You should definitely give it a try and find out for yourself.
And Kelly Elliott does it again!!!! Kelly is one of my favourite authors, there's just something about her books that always hook me and I have loved the fact this is a spin off series from the Wanted series!
Meagan always seemed kind of out there about her sexuality, she never really seemed afraid to talk about her sex life and guys. That's not really the case with her though, we find out what really happened at Baylor and I felt so sorry for her for having to go through that alone.
I hated the fact Brad rode Meagan so hard, I couldn't understand his need for her to be perfect and it really bugged me.
Gray was a superstar in this book, I loved him. Gray treated Meagan so well, I loved how he was with Claire after Meagan told him the truth.
There was a part in this story that completely broke my heart, I cried sore about it and it took me a while to start reading it again after taking a break to catch my breath. My heart broke for the characters involved and I was a complete mess.
Kelly always has a way to draw emotions out of me when I'm reading one of her books, I can never wait to get my hands on them and finish them in a day!
I can't wait for Taylor and Jase's story.
