I just love this series.

Seriously though.

I love Rock. I love Hope. I love Wrath. And I love Trinity. They make me happy. Another thing that makes me happy are the "Author's Notes" that Autumn has at the end of each book. I like what she says, I like her style, and I feel like we would be super duper swell friends.

Anyway, as Autumn herself says...this is a more romanticized MC world, which she makes no bones about, and I love it. I might skip the next one because it looks likes a love triangle and I can't stand Heidi, but count me in for book seven.

"We're two parts of a whole."

White Heat is the 5th book in the Lost Kings MC Series. With each book in the series, I am drawn deeper into the LOKI world. As Rock and Hope, "the King and Queen" of the club prepare for their wedding, trouble crashes into them like an avalanche. The LOKI family is forced to pull together and brace for impact.

description
"We build a few more houses on the property, we'll have a nice doomsday compound going."
In the first three books in the series, we witnessed the countless trials that Rock and Hope were forced to overcome. Finally, they are headed to marital bliss. In Tattered on My Sleeve, Wrath and Trinity overcome their baggage and pull together through it all. Overall, things for the club seem to be coming together perfectly. And yet now, Rock and Hope are torn apart again and this time, it takes everything they have to find their way back together again.
"How am I supposed to sleep or even breathe without Rock next to me?"
description
"In an instant my life's been ripped out of my control. Hope's become the most precious thing in my life and now I have to trust her safety to others."
As Rock is torn away, Hope is forced to find strength in herself to stand strong. She has to prove to herself and the club that she can be the president's old lady and do the job well. She has to balance self-resilience and dependence on the brothers to bring her through. The brothers are tasked with the job of keeping the club up and running and giving Hope the love, support, and strength she needs to get up out of bed every day. Rock's pain is magnified as he is forced to endure isolation from the love of his life and his brothers. Although he trusts his brothers to care for Hope, he knows it is him that should be caring for her every need. The struggle is intense and rocks the club's foundation in a way that they have never experienced before.
"People outside the MC world love to criticize..."
description
"Getting my man home and back in my arms is all that matters."
Told in multiple POV, White Heat might possibly be my favorite of the entire series. I thoroughly enjoyed the multiple perspectives of all of the characters. As Hope and Rock's relationship is stretched to another extreme, I savored every single moment. The conflict only allows Hope to grow closer to the brothers and to find strength in herself to be the woman she was meant to be. As if my love for the LOKI PREZ couldn't be any stronger, the conflict in White Heat brought out even more of Rock's protective spirit and I loved every single "alpha protector/He-man" moment! Wrath's "big brother love" for Hope is kicked into full gear and due to her "new" place by his side, Trinity is slightly shaken. Wrath gathers up the strength to calm Trinity's fears and still manages to offer Rock and Hope the support they need. Additionally, as the plot continues to twist and turn, the love triangle between Heidi, Murphy, and Axel continues to hover like a lethal bolt of lightning waiting to strike. Conflicts with their adversaries drive the action to new extremes and the passion between Wrath and Trinity, and Rock and Hope could not be hotter. Overall, another delightful blend of perfection with a promise of even more to come!

White Heat was another winning read from the crazy talented Autumn Jones Lake. My only regret is that I didn't discover her work sooner. I am beyond thrilled that Murphy, Axel, and Heidi's story is coming up next. More Than Miles is scheduled to release August 16th, and I am beyond ready for more!

I didn't think it was possible to love characters even more than I already do but it is. Holy hell did Autumn Jones Lake exceed my expectations. When I reached the final page I just wished I hadn't read it, just so I could start all over again. White Heat did all the right things. The characters showed strength and vulnerability. GROWTH! There was some beautiful surprises along this amazing journey. But to get there I was put through the wringer. All worth it of course.

But my main reason why I love this series and especially this book, is this truly is an ensemble where everyone is important. Yes, there's main characters like Rock, Hope, Wrath and Trinity but all the secondary characters matters as well. What they all experience matter and there's a story to them. I very much feel connected to all of them and that's not every time that happens to me.

Hope Kendall! What to say about her except she truly is a queen. What a heroine! I loved what Autumn Jones Lake made her go through. The growth and strength she showed was awe inspiring. It's not often I love a heroine but Hope was it for me. Damn, that lady is fierce and kick ass when needed. Her love and strength for Rock but also the MC family cemented that for me. Respect!!
Rochlan North! What a man! What a president! I've always had a soft spot for him since the first book, Slow Burn. In White Heat he showed all the qualities I knew he possessed and fell even more in love with him. I loved his strength and the choices he had to make was typical Rock. What he had to go through proves that. His love for his queen was consuming, seductive and addictive as hell. These two truly are each other's anchor.

Then there's Wyatt(Wrath) and Trinity. Also they surprised me. I could go on and on, because as I mentioned earlier this truly is an ensemble piece where everyone matters. This book has to be experienced but I would definitely recommend, that one start from the beginning. With Slow Burn to get the full experience of this amazing MC, The Lost Kings. They truly are one unit. One family and I'm glad to be a part of it.

5+++++ stars!!!!!

Pure MC romance perfection! This series has kept the intensity and depth throughout every single book. In White Heat we aren't focused on just one couple, but both Rock/Hope AND Wrath/Trinity. PLUS we get just enough of Murphy, Teller and Z to make us anxious for their own books!

The love between Rock and Hope is tested to its limits in this story. If anyone had doubts about whether she could pull off being a good 'old lady' before, they definitely won't now. She proved herself in ways that surprised and impressed the hell out of me. I already loved her, but after this? She definitely showed she's worth a man like Rock. It wasn't easy, and there were times she was hurting so bad she didn't know if she could go on but she stepped up and did what she knew was best for Rock. Not once did he think about herself or how to make herself happier during this ordeal. Instead she focused on her man and his club family, both of which would not have come out the other side as intact and whole as they did if it hadn't been for Hope.

Wrath and Trinity are new when this story starts and she's still working on dealing with her feelings of insecurity and inferiority. Wrath, bless his heart, would give that girl the sun, moon and stars if he thought that would make her realize just how lovable, loving and genuine she truly is. Trinity is a caring friend and selfless lover, but because of her past she has trouble seeing that about herself sometimes. Luckily she's surrounded by people who are committed to making her feel loved and who won't stop at anything to prove it.

Two things stuck out at me the most while reading this book. The first is that THIS is what girls should be like. Any of you that know me know that there are very few female main characters that I like. I was beginning to think that it was me with my own issues until I read this book and realized that yes, there are other people who think the same way I do when it comes to how to treat your man. Hope and Trinity are perfect examples of supporting their man through thick and thin, forgiving them when they're sorry without requiring endless amounts of groveling, trusting their man over everyone else, and being willing to sacrifice their own happiness in exchange for their man's happiness. They're role models for us readers, even though they're fictional characters.

The second thing I kept seeing was how the members of the club really came together during this time of crisis. The men of the Lost Kings have the same amount of respect for Hope and Trinity as Rock and Wrath do. They'd gladly lay down their lives if it meant their brother wouldn't have to lose his woman. There were instances in this book for both of these girls where members of the club said exactly the right thing during a time of pain that made them realize they were a part of the club family too. Hope could have easily been 'kicked to the curb' and left to spiral into a deep depression but no way would the MC brothers allow that to happen. They all took it to heart to treat her as they knew Rock would want her treated and because of that he didn't have to worry about her during a time he needed to be focused on other things.

I love this series, and knowing that there are at least 3 more books that I'm aware of still to come thrills me to no end. I could read about the Lost kings every day and be a happy person.

More Rock and Hope? YES PLEASE.
More Wrath and Trinity? YES PLEASE!
I don't think I've ever loved a book or a series more.
When I heard this was a wedding book, at first I let out a big "yawn". But I'm kicking myself now for ever thinking that. This was SO MUCH MORE than a simple wedding book. Autumn Jones Lake doesn't do simple anything. She's evil and isn't happy until you're bawling your eyes out at three in the morning and can't put her book down even though you have to go to work.
White Heat was perfect. Probably the best LOKI book yet. The story is unique. The characters are true to themselves even though EVERY SINGLE ONE of them has gone through major character growth since the start of the series. This book beautifully defines what the entire series is about LOVE. LOYALTY. THE BONDS OF BROTHERHOOD. STRENGTH. FAMILY.
I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say I was blown away with Hope's strength. Blown away by Wrath's levelheadedness. By Rock's leadership. By Z's sweetness. Murphy almost made me cry several times. I just want to hug him!
The sex is off-the-charts HOT!!! This author never fails to deliver in that department. The sex is hot but also meaningful, beautiful and always adds to the story. This author does not just --> insert sex scene here<-- ever. Actually, there are probably fewer sex scenes in White Heat than previous books, but because of their intensity, they were perfect. Wrath's tenderness with Trinity was just...ungh...he is the true definition of an ALPHA HERO.
I know the author needs to move on to Murphy's story, but I am begging, please down on my bony knees, please, I need more Rock and Hope. At least one more. And I need more Wrath and Trinity. Begging. Please. They deserve a wedding book. I adore Wrath. I LOVED Trinity's growth here. She was struggling with some things, but she was also so strong and in charge. I floved her hard! She's probably one of my favorite heroines ever.
I also need to find out what the heck Z and Lilly are up to. I need to get inside Mara and Damon's basement. I need to know if Teller will find love. I need to know what the fuck Sophie's up to. I need to know if Rock will kick Sway's ass.
I just need more!
Please!
Please hurry!

5 ROCK SOLID STARS

Each time I read a book in this series, I think it cannot get any better because Autumn Jones Lake smashes it out of the ball park EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

This book sees outside forces bearing down on Rock and Hope, just as they are making plans for their wedding. If ever an MC needed to band together, this is the time. Tentative bonds between some characters are solidified. Cemented. There is no doubt that in this book Hope proves herself more than worthy of being the Prez's old lady. Girl can kick ass when she has to. But I love how she is sweet and vulnerable and just a little bit dorky at times. I love that she is a bit insecure and that Rock cherishes that about her. These two are my favourite couple in Kindleville!!!

The story is largely told in Hope and Rock's POV but at times we get Wrath and Trinity's POV too which was a gorgeous surprise because if Hope and Rock are my faves, then Trinity and Wrath are hot on their heels. Wrath is so romantic under that gruff exterior, and he was so sweet to Hope too.
I am simply DYING over here to read Axel/Murphy/Heidi's story. I'm also a little curious about Teller and his potential new lover.......
Then there is Z and Lilly. And everyone really. Please write lots more Autumn!!
These books should be read in order to fully appreciate the characters and the nuances of their story.
As I have said before, these are not gritty like Madeline Sheehan or Crystal Spears. Those are fab authors and books. But this,,,,this is special. It is a beautifully concocted tale of passion, love loyalty, friendship and it is all about just being there for each other despite the crap life may throw your way. I love the humour in these books too. There are not enough stars. Autumn writes so brilliantly....stop reading my inadequate words - go buy this book and read her beautifully crafted ones.

RE READ VIA AUDIBLE JUNE 2020

It's very clear, if you read my book reviews / Tweets , that I love MC Biker romance novels and that this series is my all time favourite. Autumn Jones Lake brings it to the table every time when she puts pen to paper and takes us further into the Lost Kings world. If I could up sticks and move myself to Empire I would be there in a heartbeat. Now I have the added delight of hearing the stories and I am snapping up every book as it comes out on audible. The narration by Noelle Bridges and Troy Duran is superb. I was doing everything possible to listen as much as I could. They both have addictive voices ...Troy Duran's dulcet tone literally gave me goose bumps and shivers! The man can narrate and then some.

HEA? Yes ...and there is so much more to come.
Cheating? No.

This series keeps getting better and better.
You know how sometimes you're fatigued by the 5th book in a series? Especially when the main focus in the series has been on one couple? Yeah, not Lost Kings. I could easily read about Hope, Rock, Wrath and Trinity for another five books (hint! hint!)
White Heat was indescribably good. Passionate, funny, sad, pissed off, it gave me the full range of feels. So much happens, it's hard to sum it up in a review, but I'll try.
Hope is one of my favorite heroines of all time. Not just in romances, any book ever. She is sweet, loyal but has her own insecurities just like the rest of us. I've had crazy-love for her from the beginning. Her reactions to everything have always been so perfect and REAL. But in this book, she was perfection. I love her hard!
Rock is beyond perfect. I cried buckets at a certain point where his world is fucked to hell and all he's worried about is Hope's safety. He is without a doubt the perfect alpha hero. He's smart, passionate, loving with Hope and a badass motherfucker when he needs to be.
Wrath. Oh, how I love Wrath. He went from being this mean jerk to a loving teddy bear, but he's still a hard ass when the club requires it. I'd put myself into his large hands for safekeeping any day. Trinity's a lucky bitch.
Trinity. She's written so fucking perfect! I love that she's not cured of all her issues by this book. She's struggling and Wrath's right by her side to chase all her demons away and do what's best for her. They're my favorite book couple ever. They're so flawed and fucked up, but so perfect for each other now that they've got their priorities in line. Loved them.
MURPHY, how you could not be on #teammurphy after White Heat, I don't know. Holy balls, he showed his sensitive side here. The respect and love he has for Hope was so sweet. The way he stood up for her when Wrath was being a dick was huge! I just loved Murphy here so much. I can't wait for his book. Z also showed us his sensitive side. I can't wait for his book either!
I loved the way the author melded the two couples' stories together. The way the book was structured was truly novel. I can't think of another book I've read that was written this way. It was interesting and unpredictable. I was on the edge of my seat, afraid the author might fuck us and not give us Hope and Rock's fucking wedding!
You'll have to read it and find out for yourself if they finally have their hard won HEA!

Now this...this was really a story of loyalty, honor, love and dedication. Faith in all forms, in humanity, in love, in a person's honesty and desire to do the right thing and the faith to stand by your man through thick and thin with no reservation or regrets.
I loved Rock and Hope's story from the very beginning and to get to read about this current messed up state of their lives, as they prepare to walk down the aisle only to have their happiness and security ripped away from them, was a really good springboard for a host of other relationships to be explored and deepened.
Wrath is left in charge of the club (and Hope's safety) while Rock has to deal with a huge personal challenge, and through it all we get to see an even closer bond form among all of the MC brothers and between Trinity and Hope as well. Alliances are made and fatally broken with other clubs and betrayal rears its ugly head to try and destroy all that the Lost Kings MC hold dear to them.
We get a lot of humor in how the brothers interact with each other, we get the catty and backstabbing women who fight for a patch or a man to call their own and above all we get a passionate love story (more than one actually) with some surprising twists and a whole new direction for the club to go in as a result of all the changes made for the better.
I have loved every book in this series and have not become tired of reading about these complex characters as they span over the length of 5 long novels. I am ready for more and especially the youngsters in the bunch (I call them that because they have a lot to learn yet) as well as the newcomers who we were introduced to in White Heat (one of whom I am hoping might make Teller's life a bit less lonely). An excellent follow-up to what was one of my favorites in the series (Tattered on My Sleeve) and I highly recommend you read the series in order to get the full glorious picture.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

Ms. Lake is my unicorn author. Every book she writes is better than the last. I didn't think I could love Hope, Rock, Wrath and Trinity any more than I already did and Ms. Lake proved me wrong! White Heat was perfect in every way! Loose ends from earlier books were tied up, while new things to explore in future books were left open.
Loved every second!

If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would!! I absolutely loved this book and I know you will too!!! Starting White Heat was like checking in with old friends I REALLY missed!! I had the problem of wanting to read as fast as possible to find out what happens but I wanted to take as long as possible so it wouldn't end too quickly, it was torture to see the progress and see how much closer I was getting towards the end. The backdrop of White Heat is Rock and Hope's upcoming wedding, but the story has much more in it and I was put through many emotions, from laughing out loud to my eyes welling up in sadness. I was also quite angry at one point and I promise you that you will know exactly when it happens!! I don't talk specifics because I want you to experience this fantastic story for yourself and I didn't even mention the scorching sex that will leave you all hot and bothered!! I feel like a junkie and LOKI is my drug of choice!!! I REALLY wish the next book was done now, but I will bide my time until then, because Autumn assures the reader that there will be more, thankfully!! So make sure you read the whole book with Autumn's comments afterwards, it gave my spirits a little boost after the sadness of finishing another awesome LOKI book. Go, read it, NOW!!!

A motorcycle club series was not anything I was interested in reading until I picked the LOKI series and fell in love from page one. Autumn Jones Lake has created something really special with this series and White Heat is a love letters to the fans of the series and to the fantastic Four (Rock, Hope, Wrath & Trinity).

One of the elements I loved in this book, Hope showing the amount of love, devotion and strength that Rock has had for her in their first three books. When Rock needed her the Most Hope stepped up, defended her guy and showed to everyone how much she loved him. It was a nice to see the role reversal.

I also love the family bonding that took place while Rock was in Jail. All entire club stepped up and did want needed to be done, were there for each other and for Hope. My favorite scene in the whole book was when Wrath, Z, Teller & Murphy were sitting with Hope and telling stories of their past. Just made me love all the guys even more.

This series is special and dear to me. I don't think I will ever tire reading about these characters.

This is not a stand alone and suggest you read the first four books to get maximum enjoyment read White Heat.

This book is for you if… contemporary biker romances with a less sexist stance towards women sounds just like your thing.

⤐Overall.
Okay, so just let me say that it is very comforting to know that there are about 10 more books waiting for me in this series and, to be honest, at this point I would gladly commit to another 20 books. You think I'm kidding, aren't you? Well, watch me here on Goodreads real close to get a look at what it is like to be a bibliophilic sad little dork that literally would choose books over most stuff, maybe apart from sleep, friends and dogs, obviously.

I very much like that this book gets away from its two-persons-narrative and lets the reader see more through different perspectives within the same narrated time frame. In the end, some books even work better that way, which is 100% true for this gem of a book.

↠What’s happening.
Just like Autumn Jones Lake explained to us after she finished telling the LOKI story, it is, in fact, true, that it seemed somewhat inevitable for Rock to end up in jail (for a while). It gave Hope the very much needed opportunity to show that, as soft as she may be, she was perfect for him and, more importantly, for the guys. Because, let's face it, as much as we all love these "degenerate fucks", as Rock loves to call them frequently, they need a Queen. And this is, what Hope is. The struggle of fighting the injustice of the justice system Hope's "other" world revolves around. Because this woman will do everything it takes to get her man home and nothing will defy her: nasty prison guards, trouble with girlfriends or a sexist, patriarchal justice system.

So, why don't you hop the LOKI-train again, lay back and be ready for a pleasant journey? See you on the other side.

this has to be the best yet of the series!!!! I love how Rock and Hope are together. the way they compliment eachother and their quirks. Hope's strength and loyalty was put to the test....and she showed how strong of a person she really is. and her devotion to Rock.....well not really just to Rock....but to the MC family....made me love her even more!!! I enjoyed the banter between the guys and how strong they all were and just how they interact with one another. They are a true family. I cannot wait for more books in this series!!! I hope Autumn keeps them coming....not alot of series keep me interested past the 2nd book....but here we are at book 5....and I need more!!!!

I have inhaled each and every book of Autumn Jones Lake's Lost King MC Series. I fell in love with Rock and Hope from day one. In fact, I cannot get enough of their story as they are one of my favorite MC couples. Their story has not been an easy one at times. In White Heat, Hope is busy planning her wedding to Rock with Trinity's help. As their wedding date is only months away, their world is turned completely upside down. Rock's freedom is suddenly taken away. This is a story of a woman standing by her man. Hope shows not only her love for Rock, but her complete faith and devotion to him as well. She is loyal to her man and the Lost Kings MC. During his absence, Wrath takes the reigns over LOKI. With the assistance of Z, Murphy, Teller and the other members, Hope's safety as well. Hope and Trinity continue to become close friends. We get to see more of Wrath and Trinity's beautiful love story. We get to visit with Heidi, Murphy and Axel. No telling which team I'm leaning towards! We see more of Z and Lilly. All Hope's friends make appearances as well. Hope finally confronts Sophie on a past indiscetion. We meet a new character too, Mariella. I'm hoping for a future love connection between she and Teller. Being the animal lover that I am, was thrilled to meet two four legged furbabies. Who betrayed Rock and the Lost Kings? What new alliances were made? Do Rock and Hope get their walk down the aisle? Who will be next to walk down the aisle? What's in store for LOKI? You need to read to find out!

What I love about Autumn's writing is she truly grasps deep when writing. She just doesn't touch the surface of her characters, but writes all the way down to their souls. She paints such vivid descriptions of her characters. I truly feel Rock and Hope's love lifting from the pages. Z and Wrath have some of the funniest lines I have ever read. The MC brothers, with all of their their bickering and bantering, continue to show us how much they love and respect one another. Most of all their Prez, and now Cinderella as well. Along with an engaging and fast paced storyline, there were plenty of scorching scenes between Rock and Hope. You can feel their passion. This is book number five in the Lost King MC series. There are so many stories left to tell and I can't wait to sit and read them. This was a 5 star read to me. This entire series is a 5 star read. You will not be disappointed once you meet the brothers, and now women, of the Lost King MC. Can't wait for more!!!

Another great book in the Lost Kings series. Autumn has quickly become one of my must read authors. I love her storylines and the characters in the Lost Kings MC. While her books have series topics they also cause me to crack up at some of the things they say and their behavior. Autumn has written a wonderful book that has 4 POVs and it doesn't get overwhelming, confusing or repetitive at all. You will really enjoy this book.

Although this book is mainly Hope and Rock we get Wrath and Trinity as well. Hope and Rock are finally going to tie the knot and Hope is busy planning her wedding with the help of Trinity. Things seem to be going well until she learns about what a friend has done. Unfortunately this is not their only hurdle they will face in this book. While at their engagement party things are going great until their NOT. Something happens that causes Hope and Rock to be forced to be apart. Hope needs to be strong for not only Rock but for the MC as well. By day she does great but nights are another story. The guys are spending lots of time with her to make sure she is protected and taken care of and that is causing a strain in Wrath and Trinity's relationship. Trinity is a bit insecure and the time he spends away is making it hard on her. Meanwhile, Wrath is doing all he can to try to help Rock and to hold up his promise to take care of Hope. He wants to give Trinity is patch and propose but he wants everyone there and for it to be at the right time but at the same time Trinity isn't sure her place in his life.

Will they be able to get to the bottom of what's going on? How long will Rock be gone? Will they have the wedding Hope is continuing to plan? Will Wrath and Trinity's relationship survive this? Will Wrath ever be able to give Trinity his patch and will she accept if he does? Will they figure out who is behind all the drama the club is going through?

Great continuation of Rock & Hope and Wraith & Trinity's HEAs. There's Rock and Hope's wedding, plus some jail time, plus an ol' lady ceremony. We also get to see more of Murphy and Heidi and Axel's ongoing drama. I'm still #teammurphy. Can't wait for more of Z and Lilly.

No five stars because I kept getting dizzy going back forth between all four voices, and it was a little slow in parts. There was also no end or even end for now with all the Viper drama or Gabriella. Plus no resolution to the whole Sophie situation.

ARC provided by Give Me Books Event Bloggers for review
When I first read Autumn Jones Lake's work last summer, I said I was ridiculously impressed with the story of the Lost Kings MC and its colorful band of characters and six books later I am STILL ridiculously impressed.

Autumn Jones is thorough. I commend her in her ability to be very detail oriented in her story telling yet not boring the begeesus out of the reader. I won't lie and say every second of her story is riveting and nail-biting, but it's all important and needs to be said. Because she doesn't just write about the MC members themselves, she also writes about the club. The story of the club is an outer arc she follows thru all her books, so they need to be thorough and detailed.

She's also very good with the sexy sensual part of her story. She knows when to make it gritty and dirty but also loving and sensual when need be. The woman can draw you a picture with her words and make you feel like you're in the room! #TRUST

I've always been on #TeamHope and this book solidified the confidence I already had in her. She was definitely tested in this book. Her love not only for Rock, but also for the MC family. When you first meet Hope, she gives the impression that she might be meek and shy but you would be wrong. When the Lost Kings needed her to step up, she stepped up. Like I always knew she would. I am so ridiculously happy that Autumn chose to write Hope the way she did from the beginning to now. Her growth has been exponential, but her loyalty and trust has never wavered and never needed to grow. It was always there.

The story-line in White Heat is shared between Hope & Rock and Trinity & Wrath, but the focus of the story is Hope & Rock and their wedding. There's one thing that Autumn does very well and that is the continuation of the sub-plot and integration of all secondary characters. Because altho some will say White Heat is the story of the road to the wedding, it's really not. It's the story of everyone. Every single member has a reason. And again, that's because Autumn makes sure the club also grows in her stories.

White Heat is going to make you laugh, scream, cry and even sigh a few times. It's a story of strength. Strength in one's self and strength in one's world around us. It's a story of loyalty and love and honor, but above ALL, it's a story of faith and hope.

It's ridiculously good and shouldn't be missed by anyone who loves the MC world.

For a year now, this has been one of my fave series ever. And I love seeing characters grow and evolve, from book to book. The change is not sudden, but gradual and it's more believable that way.

Rock & Hope. Man, they've been through a lot. Hope meeting Rock when she was still married, feeling conflicted about everything. Then, after losing her husband, she found love again with Rock. But it wouldn't be easy. Autumn put them through the wringer, throwing them one obstacle after the other, but still they stand, strong and together. We saw Rock go from a newbie President, that spent his time screwing the strippers from his strip club in his office, to a responsible President that decided it was time he made Hope his, forever, first by patching her in as his old lady, next by marrying her. But don't think it's all sunshine and rainbows. Nope. Autumn surprises us again. You'll have to read to see what I'm talking about, I won't spoil it for you.

Wrath & Trinity. I only have major love for these two, as much as they pissed me off in the previous book, Tattered on My Sleeve, where they told us their story, their struggles, laid their demons out as cards on a table, for us to see and either judge or understand. I chose to understand. Hard as it was. No, it wasn't easy. And these two grew a lot. Wrath? God almighty and holy baby cherubs, I thought I was already head-over-heels in love with him. I was proven wrong. He's PERFECT! He's big, bad, blond and so damn sweet, I couldn't stop swooning and melting! Forget Disney ruining my expectations of guys, Autumn did that by writing Wyatt 'Wrath' Ramsey.

"You are wonderful for me. I love everything about you inside and out. Whatever you need to do I'll support."

And Trinity is so much stronger, there's this scene where I whooped and cheered for her because, you go girl!

I am not ashamed to admit I now like Murphy and am hoping for the very best for him, whether that's Heidi or someone else *read the book to see what I mean*

There are so many favorite scenes from this book, it's not even funny! One thing that stopped me from giving it five solid stars is that I felt the balance was slightly off, where the couples were concerned. Plus, there were a lot of details, but while I am not a detailed person, I know others are so, that's my opinion.

I love Autumn, I love her books, I can't wait for more and am truly honored to have been given an ARC with my name on it AND to have been named official mistress of Wrath. That just... It brought tears to my eyes and had me ending the year with a big smile on my face.

So, 4.5 - 5 stars and I again thank the author for this copy given in exchange for my honest review.

I took a much needed break from this series but I figured I would quickly knock another book off my TBR and I kinda wanna be done with this series.

I do like it, I think I am just bored though. I skip through the sex stuff which makes up half the book. It would be different if it was different stuff but it's the same over and over again.

I liked the conflict in this book. It was interesting seeing Hope handle Rock being gone. Hope's development is by far the most intriguing throughout the series. I feel like she has made it though, and it would be nice watching other characters take the spotlight.

The next book in the series is Heidi and although she an annoying and immature 18-year-old, I really like Murphy and I am interested to see where their story goes. I am not a big fan of love triangles but we can pretty much assume the outcome, so who really cares about Axel.

Anyway, Hope and Rock have their HEA ... FN anyway.

I woke up to find White Heat on my kindle and i was bouncing with excitement! I've been waiting for this book since i finished Tattered On My Sleeve!... And OMFG It definately lived up to what i was hoping, maybe even more!
It is basically Rock and Hope's wedding story but with alot of Lost Kings MC in the mix. Each chapter is from different characters, the main being Rock, Hope, Wrath and Trinity.
Written perfectly with an amazing flow it carried me through so clearly that i actually felt like i was a character in the MC with them. I even sobbed like a baby in certain parts, so be warned that yes you need to read this book, but also ensure you have a box of tissues next to you!
The sex is off the charts, hot and the love is constantly building with each and every character as the pages turn!
I would so love to give this book more than 5 stars but as that's the max sadly i have to give that...

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I can't say enough about this author or these characters but they just speak to me. The way she weaves all the different characters and their individual voices throughout each book has created a world where layer upon layer of history and mythology is so detailed and believable I never want to stop reading.
The books are never just a means to an end. They are full of love, power, friendships, brotherhood, danger and so much more. Plus Autumn can write a damn hot and dirty sex scene that I never skim read.
White Heat is an awesome addition to this series and is really about Hope being there for her man and embracing the MC as a true family. It had me gripped from the first page and never let up. These characters are so much fun to be around whether they are exacting brutal vengeance or hanging round the clubhouse. Love the multiple POV and can't wait for the next one.

I may have highlighted the entire book! Autumn is a tremendous writer; bringing to life every character in her books. Every word, paragraph and page pulled me in! Her writing style is perfect for the reader that I am.

White Heat... Hot, hot, hot! A perfect continuation of the LOKI series. I'm always eager to read more about Hope & Rock and this book gave them to me and other readers. I wait on pins and needles for more, regardless of what character is written about.

So I was going to put off reading this one as long as possible, maybe do re-read before starting it, and well that didn’t work. I dove right in and I only made it a week before diving in, but hey it’s one less week to wait for the next book…but anyway.

I was so glad Hope finally found out about Sophie. Then her twat ass showing up at Mara’s birthday dinner, just confirmed that I. Hate. Her. I was hoping that Hope would pop that bitch in the nose, she certainly deserved it…actually she deserved it repeatedly. Sorry wasn’t seeing any real remorse there at all. Her whore ass needs kicked to the curb permanently. I guess you could say this book made me a little more violent towards her because being a raving drunk is no excuse for what she did and certainly not what she said when confronted, it was more like the real Sophie was finally coming out to show itself.

I am still hardcore #TeamAxel after this book but (that’s a big BUT) I want better for him than Heidi. There I said it. I kind of started to feel like Heidi was just using Axel to get over Murphy or make him jealous and I really felt that way after this book. Well that and she grates on my damn nerves. Anyway I just came to the conclusion in this one Heidi and Murphy deserve each other and Axel deserves better, a girl well like Hope. Murphy was better in this one but I’m still meh whatever about him.

I actually warmed up to Z and Lilly a little more in this one, especially Z. I still kind of have issues with Lilly after Z’s comment about her not taking him seriously about a relationship but then again the manwhore from hell probably should have to work for it. I just hope she doesn’t take it to such an extreme I completely hate her for it.

I loved Wrath and liked getting some time with him and Trinity but the thing about her that bothers me the most was brought up. The fact that while she was a club girl she was with his brothers….I was able to kind of get over that somewhat until she just had to bring it up. Then it made the fact that when they were all up talking with Hope that night, Trinity had literally fucked every man in the room. I don’t know I am happy for them but she still just annoys me because of who she did more so than what she did. I still feel like she was smarter than to have done that and that still irritates me when it comes to her. She also irritated me with her comments to Hope about the whole “club clause for old ladies with men in prison” I mean what the fuck was that shit! Then get all whiny about Wrath spending time with Hope. I just don’t get where she comes off with that and the whole “special bond” with Rock well screw you Trinity, your bond isn’t shit compared to Hope’s bond with him. Anyway seems I just won’t ever be a real fan of Trinity because at some point she does something that just makes me want to slap her…..I was happy for her and Wrath though, I was also glad she put Tawny in her place…it was a long time coming.

Last but certainly not least Rock, utter fucking perfection. I love him. I loved Hope too, not once was I disappointed in her during the turmoil. Well other than I hope that she really is Mrs. North, sorry but I would have to take my man’s name…I mean it is Rochlan North! I could read about these two forever. Their love story never gets old for me. I won’t go into much more detail about their part because it might give away too much, but it was awesome.

This one is now my favorite in this series. It was just perfect. This is the kind of family people can only wish for and dream about.

As a reply to the author’s notes….Keep writing this series as long as the stories come, hopefully for a long time. This is the best MC series I have ever read. The guys in this series are just awesome, yes they have flaws but they make up for them in awesome ways (um hello Rock!) and even though some I don’t like, I still enjoy the series because of the way it is written and normally if I don’t like characters it ruins a book for me. But in these books you get a glimpse at everything in the LOKI world not just what is going on with one or two characters. I love the fact that this one had Rock and Hope but you also got Wrath and Trinity. I don’t like Heidi (at all), only kind of warmed up to Murphy in this one, and I love Axel but I still want to read their story because I know there will be more to it than just dealing with Heidi’s BS and Murphy making up for being a pig. Lol! I would love for Teller and Dex to get a story. I have been hoping for Dex to get a story after his comment that I quoted in a previous review. That one statement had me wanting to see him get that for himself. The other thing I love about this series (especially this book) is you know that no matter what drama or turmoil is going on that things will eventually be okay. There is no doom and gloom feeling with this MC and it just makes for one hell of an awesome read.

Dear Autumn Jones Lake, where have you been my whole life?! I freakin LOVED this book so much! Rochlan Jones, MC President, finally has everything he's ever wanted. His MC is cleaned up, and Hope is marrying him. Enemies are surrounding them, as his wedding day gets closer, and his freedom is being threatened, leaving the Lost Kings MC to pick up the pieces. Will Rock and Hope get finally get their HEA?

WOW WOW WOW! MC books have become a new addiction for me, and White Heat is amazing! The character development is fantastic, as all of them keep evolving well. A fast paced, suspenseful, and well written story line flows perfectly. Twists and turns kept me on my toes cover to cover, with the sexy scene goodness is SCORCHIN HOT, and should not be read in public. Autumn Jones Lake's talented writing style hooked me from the beginning, and I didn't get up until I finished every page. I CANNOT WAIT to read more of this series, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!

Another great installment in this series. This series is one of my favorite and I was looking forward to getting my hands on this gem. I liked that we were able to get four different POV’s from the characters. (Rock, Hope, Wrath, and Trinity) I thought the storyline stayed very true to the characters and the series while also keeping up the interest level. Despite it being the 5th book in this series about the same two couples, I was still very immersed in this book. We see some steam from the two pairs that lives up to their previous books. Some of my favorite parts were watching the club house guys interact with Hope. Parts were awkward, parts were cute…all of it showed how far the characters have come from book 1. I also couldn’t get enough of other characters who have been on the sidelines but are now getting their own books. I can’t wait for Book 6 to come out so I can see how the Murphy/Heidi/Axel saga plays out. I’m #TeamMurphy but Axel is growing on me. For now, I’m happy with getting to see more of Rock/Hope and Wrath/Trinity and see rereads in my future.

MUST READ Story of the year!!!! multiple person POVs makes this story loads better and a lot more to the story that unfolds. Makes some of the other stories in the series make more sense, I do however recommend reading the first story Slow Burn so your not lost come this amazing and wonderfully written story. Wow holy amazing, hats off to this amazing and very talented author. I had to take my time reading this story, only because I didn't want it over before I knew it. lol of course that didn't happen I did stop a lot so I could really enjoy this story. Autumn has done an amazing job with the characters, the story line and the story itself.
