What an enchanting tale of yesteryear involving characters that are loving and charismatic. It brought back memories of childhood Christmas celebrations that warmed my heart. Highly recommend this uplifting and memorable book!

Great Read but needs a little editing!

Hi Dear Author - Please find a friend who will gladly read your books and tell you where there are spelling or an extra word or other clerical error you need to fix!! I'm positive that you have many people who'd be glad to do it for you! You cannot depend on Spellcheck. It's not reliable!
Your books are too great to not have them be perfect in every clerical way, if at all possible.
If you cannot find anyone else to edit them, I volunteer! And you know I'm serious. I"d be glad to go it and you wouldn't need to pay me!
Just reach me via Amazon Prime, if you're interested in having me edit your "clean books". I don't read what I consider trashy books, that really are a waste of my time and against my beliefs as a Christian. So I have a lot of books to chose from.

I'm a fast but thorough reader, so your precious books would get a very decent evaluation and have a very complete editing!

Dear MK MkClintock, I totally enjoyed " An Angel Called Gallagher" and left notes where I found errors. It's a habit I have. I'm now looking forward to reading more if your current list of Gallagher series books. Thank you for writing "clean, decent books" that even younger, middle school readers can enjoy without being exposed to all the trash to which even a lot of advertising now exposes them! It isn't necessary and degrades even our educational system deplorably! I have found that I have to even delete too many books I purchase from Amazon because they don't explain that the verbiage used is X rated in over 75% of the book! If that is all the story is, then to me it isn't literature and I'm positively not interested! There's much too much decent literature out there to keep me reading, such as your beautiful books!

Thank you for such beautiful, descriptive writing. I thoroughly enjoy your books!

A grateful fan and voracious reader! cbt from North Carolina, USA

Very sweet book

This story gives us a look at the Gallagher’s when all three couples Ethan/Brenna, Gabriel/Isabella, and Eliza/Ramsey are all looking to the future with the Christmas season upon them. They all take stock of how they can help outside of themselves and Hawks Peak when they find a young girl cold hungry and alone on their property.

It was a very nice read.

Excellent Read

This was a great read. If you don’t believe in ghosts I am with you, but if you believe in angels I am one hundred per cent in agreement. God knew that Catie needed the assurance that she was truly a part of the Gallagher family. Grandma Gallagher made sure she found the love letters at Christmas when miracles seem more prevalent. Sweet sweet book.

In this book in the Montana Gallagher series (Book 4) we experience the world through yet another woman who finds her way to Hawk’s Peak, this time a young teenage girl who certainly needs a dose of loving kindness that the gang at the ranch can offer. Catie has had to live a pretty rough life and when she encounters the Gallaghers she is stealing what essentials she need to simply survive day to day. Through the different experiences and personalities that the residents of Hawk’s Peak have, they are able to slowly melt the ice and find Catie’s heart and soul – that’s what the Gallagher’s do best!

Beyond this being Catie’s story where we learn about her life before arriving at Hawk’s Peak, it is a continuation of the stories of Ethan, Gabriel, and Eliza Gallagher and their spouse’s Brenna, Isabelle, and Ramsey (respectively). We learn more about Amanda Warren (introduced to us at the end of Gallagher’s Choice) and while this offers just a taste more about her, I’m sure she has her own book coming up soon. There is daily life on a ranch in the winter and the discussions of adding a horse breeding element to it. And Christmas is coming! The Gallagher’s offer their warmth to the town in an effort to bring everyone together to celebrate this holiday in the hard scrabble world of the American west.

Even though this is a Christmas entry into this series, it is not wholly focused on that event to the exclusion of the continued storytelling arc as a whole. It’s not something you should skip over if reading the series. There is a lot of character development here and we learn new things about them that build your understanding of the characters. With the ever growing cast, I find it amazing that the author seems to always be able to allocate roughly equivalent time to all of them (even though there is always one or two featured characters) and they all still maintain their own voices.

This is the first of McClintock’s Gallagher books that I have not listened to in audio format, so it was a different reading experience for me. While reading I could still hear their voices in my head – that’s how much the narration stuck with me from the previous books! Oh, and a random perk of this book, there is a recipe for a spiced apple and cranberry cake that will be featured in an upcoming Weekend Cooking segment here on the blog! I love when authors include little perks like that as the cake was mentioned in the book.

By now, I’m sure you know that all I have to hear is that MK McClintock has written another book and you know you can find me standing in the virtual line so I can be the first one to grab it! I have read every one of her books (and you can read the reviews on my blog) and with all honesty, I can say that I have not come across another author whose writing speaks to me as hers does.

Ms. McClintock’s stories are adventurous and full of budding romance that transports you back in to a simpler time where the outside world ceases to exist once you open one of her books.

An Angel Called Gallagher is the fourth book in the Montana Gallagher series and is also considered a stand-alone book. In this book, a young girl named Catie, finds her way into the hearts of all the Gallaghers. Not having much of a past, she is presented with a chance to be part of a wonderful, loving family with hopes for a future that she never dreamed possible.

If you are not yet a fan of the Gallaghers, I’m sure you will be by the end of this book.

5 Stars!

The Gallaghers are back, and they are ready to defend the weak and to solve some mysteries. The Christmas time setting equals warmth, coziness, and celebration! I loved this book, soaking it in slowly so as to extend my time in the Gallagher world. Catherine (Catie) Rose was a nice addition to the Gallagher clan, but I may be bias since my name is also Rose. I was excited to see Catie's growth as the Gallaghers' peeled away the layers of her story; It was sad but uplifting. The ghost/angel added an extra bit of suspense and joy to the story. A celebratory story full of love, family, and just the right amount of action that's fitting for the Christmas season.

I had not expected to spend Christmas in Montana in the 1880’s, but found myself there as soon as I started reading An Angel Called Gallagher. And what a grand time I had! MK’s words allowed me to immerse myself into this time and place so easily. I spent a wonderful afternoon seeing more of how the Gallaghers interact with each other; how they respond to difficult situations, and how they welcomed Catie into their home and hearts.

I love the Montana Gallagher series, but this one is special. An Angel Called Gallagher is truly a gift for the soul. You will not be disappointed.

Loved it!

I enjoyed reading this fun Christmas story with Angel's/ghost, an orphan girl, thief's and self discoveries. A great closer for the last 3 books.
