Would've been great to have some warning...
While this is a collection of mafia stories based on the Irish mob, I didn't have any issues with the first book except it was a little slow but an okay read. The second book with Shane and Mia was good until ... *spoilers* the forced sex scene in the shower. From there it goes downhill. It's a battle of Shane forcing Mia and Mia battling with herself before finally submitting to him. Then it comes out her stepbrother sexually abused her for years and she chooses to stay with Shane because he's better of the two. I skimmed and skipped most of this book and didn't even bother finishing the rest in the collection I was so digested. Mia's been stripped naked, locked in a cage and beaten by Shane's bodyguards, kidnapped at gunpoint....and the sexual scene border on BDSM/Rape.... If this is what's considered "Dark Love" I think it was a good thing I skipped the rest of the books

Wow! This set is awesome! These 4 couples are great. Each story is off the charts. There is so much action, intrigue and hot, steamy sex you can't put them down. This is one of the best series I have read. I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really loved Patrick and Alexei books. Cormac's was sweet but way too short. More like only one chapter. Shane's book leaves me conflicted. Just from the first part I just couldn't love
