When Marie Carnay contacted me about this book i jumped at the chance to read and review because I was so incredibly impressed with the first book in this series Second Chance Summer. But this story had quite a few problems.
In my opinion, the only person fully developed in this story was Holiday Jones . Her character was very well defined. Her motives and her end game were also very clear. But not so much for Ian Knowles and Trent Malone .
So here's the gist: Ian is a billionaire that is being threatened for some reason. Trent works in security has come to Midnight Cove to help figure out who's behind Ian's threats. Holiday is home to help her sister run her catering while she's in-between jobs. That's pretty much the background we get as readers.
The book very much revolved around the threat more so than it did between the growing attraction these three were having for each other. Nor did it focus on their growing personal relationship. Except that at some point, you turn the page and everyone's ok with a threesome. But it wasn't developed. There's no history of Ian or Trent having such relationships in the past, but apparently they just fell right into it like they'd been doing it all their lives. Now I'm no expert on menage, but I'm pretty sure there's gotta be some sort of awkwardness at the start ... And even if Marie Carnay did not want to make that an integral part of the story-line, there should at least have been some sort of mention.....
The book itself felt unfinished and rushed. I felt like I was reading pieces of a much bigger story. And I should have been. The only connection these three had was over a decade ago...And even the suspense part of the story was odd. I don't want to give away that part to future readers, but it felt a bit too convenient in the end who the villains ended up being. Honestly, it bordered on silly. The whole thing bordered on silly, which took away from the sensuality of what the relationship should have been.
So as you can read, I'm not a fan of how this story unfolded, but I am still a fan of Marie's style and skill. One book does not an author make. So she is still an author I would gladly read any day.

3.5 Stars - I love poly love stories, that is why I decided to read this book. While I enjoyed the interesting twist regarding the threats Ian had been receiving and really the storyline in general, I didn’t feel the connection between Holly, Ian and Trent. I liked the characters, but it seemed as if Trent wasn’t as connected to Holly, so it didn’t work for me. All-in-all is was an okay read.

Marie takes us back to Midnight Cove Menage series with this stimulating, suspenseful tale of Ian, Trent, and Holiday. I can say I felt envious of Holiday aka Holly from beginning to end. Who wouldn't want a handsome, generous billionaire and a hot as hell ex military man to please you in every way and rock your world? Marie Carnay has a way of bringing about the kinky side while still making your heart flutter with romance. She knows how to bring her readers a double dose of pleasure and warmth and leave you satiated and begging for more. Holly, Trent, and Ian know how to heat things up intertwined with mystery and leave you breathless.

Holly is been away for ten years from Midnight Cove and is back to help her friend Hillary with the baking for her catering business. Little did she know that she was going to get not one but two courses of deliciousness when she runs into her old next door neighbor Ian and the town bad boy Trent. Now they are all three grown up with fulfilled desires from their past. This leaves Holly in quite the predicament because she is just staying for a short while and how will she be able to choose or will she even have to? I was drawn to not just Holly's beauty but her independence and her distinct distaste for being wooed with money. She is her own woman and won't be bought and shows great strength in overcoming her past. She is uninhibited and her love for both Trent and Ian is seen throughout the story.

Ian is a self made man who has a knack for socializing with the rich and the beautiful, especially since both of those categories include him. I loved his way outspoken forward nature with Holly. He wants her and will stop at nothing to get her, even if it means sharing her with his friend Trent. It wouldn't be the first time an unusual relationship took place in Midnight Cove. Even in the face of danger and threats being made, he is not letting Holly slip through his fingers after all these years of denial. Ian seduced me with how thoughtful and caring he was with Holly and yet he could still turn her inside out with need and passion.

Now Trent was more concerned about her safety with the threats and danger that seem to follow Ian at the moment. He is there to protect Ian but cannot deny the feelings that Holly has running through him with her sexy body and intelligence. Trent had me with his chiseled good looks, tattoos, and no nonsense take charge persona. He is just the type of guy to get a woman's blood pumping and fulfill all her fantasies.

Holiday in Danger is another stimulating, entertaining trip to Midnight Cove that is not only known for it's rich people and sunny locale but also for unconventional desires and all consuming love. I highly recommend for readers who like unconventional romances with two delectable men and don't forget...chocolate cake.

I’ve read Second Chance Summer – I’ve gobbled every single page of the novel – and I’ve even bemoaned the fact that I had to wait for the next book in the Midnight Cove Menage series. Was the wait worth it? Oh hell-to-the-yes! I love Marie Carnay’s novels: they are hot, like edge of your seat sizzling hot, they pull you in to such an extent that you’d believe you were part of the story and even though the love story is prominent there’s still another story, something else that will attract the attention of the reader. From the very first chapter of Holiday In Danger, I was hooked in the book. Really, who could say no to having both the good and the bad boy, especially when they both want you?! The way Marie Carnay writes her stories are so vivid that readers have no troubles whatsoever visualizing the environment or even coming up with the perfect image of the book boyfriends. The way these men try to win Holiday’s heart, their mannerisms of seducing her and even the ways they prove their dominance, I must admit made me green with envy, and only to realize shortly after how ridiculous my feelings were, and yet, I have to congratulate Marie Carnay on managing to create such strong emotions from her readers. Holiday In Danger, the second novel in the Midnight Cove Menage series, is one novel (and inevitably one series and author) I’d strongly recommend to any romance/ménage fan as it has that uncanny ability of making your heart accelerate within a few chapters.

***WARNING*** This book is hot. It's a quick read with some really steamy parts but it's so worth the read. It has a good plot and a HEA - you couldn't ask for anything better. The author has a way with the writing to get you hooked from the beginning.

Holiday (Holly) never wanted to go back to Midnight Cove but she ends up going back for a month and while she is there, she decided to help her best friend with her catering business. Holly left the place with her father and never wanted to come back to a place that was so hateful to her. She made a plan that when the month was up, she would leave and go back to LA however after seeing Trenton & Ian, her biggest crushes may change her mind about leaving. She realizes that these two men have changed since she was her last and when Ian offers for her to stay with him & Trenton she doesn't refuse. Only Holly wants more from Ian & Trenton but she is to scared to realize it and do something about it. When Holly life's in danger, Ian & Trenton will stop at nothing to protect her.

Ian is your alpha billionaire and Trenton is your ex military man, both of them are your alpha, sexy, kinky males. They both have a past and both have always wanted Holly. They have wanted her then and they still want her now, even if they have to share her. They will stop at nothing to keep her safe and will do their best to keep her in Midnight Cove.

This story will keep you on your toes as you try to solve what is happening and who is the cause of it. I never expected it to be who it was. I enjoyed reading this story and how the characters formed a connection with each other. You can feel the love between them and when the sex happens, you will feel the sparks. What the characters have, they must keep the bond strong and don't let anything or anyone break what they have.

Great job to the author, I highly recommend.

Holiday (Holly) returns to Midnight Cover to help out Hillary in her catering business. Hoping not to run into Brandon, she has no intentions of staying in town longer then a month. First running into Trent Malone, the bad boy in town and one of her teen age crushes. Just all grown up now. To top it off, Ian Knowles comes walking up. The one that laid that hot and heavy kiss on her and walked away. She knew she should never have returned. Ian hearing Holly is staying in a motel he invited her to stay in his guest house.

Ian is back in town and Trent is staying with him as his security. After these threatening emails he needs Trent to find out who is behind them. Now they both want Holly but can they get her interested and on board with sharing. But before anything gets that far Holly's life is in danger and they both are going to make sure nothing happens to her.

This is the second book in A Midnight Cove Menage Novel but can be read as a stand alone. Wonderful story with suspense and mystery. I loved Holly. She had no problem speaking her mind, but sometimes the body wants what the mind can't understand yet. After what Brandon did and then her mother. Holly wasn't interested in anyone with money. Ian is rich but still the same person Holly knew as a teenager. Ian is a wonderful character, open honest and knows what he wants. Trent, is more of the alpha male. He knows he wants Holly and will take her anyway he can. The storyline is well paced and doesn't rush and the smoking hot sex scenes burn the pages. I have loved both books in this series. I received and arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Holiday (Holly) never wanted to go back to Midnight Cove but she decided to go back to help her best friend with her catering business. Holly left Midnight Cove with her father after the “Cove” was so nasty and vicious to her. She made a promise to herself that after a month she would leave and go back to L.A. but after seeing Trenton & Ian, her crushes may make her change her mind about leaving M.C.
Ian and Trenton- one billionaire businessman & one alpha ex military man. Two men who are head over heels for one sweet pastry chef . They want to keep her , share her but aren’t sure how to make her stay. When their sweet pasty chef is in danger, they found will do anything to keep her safe, in their arms and in their bed , with them , hopefully forever.
I loved this story about a woman who is independent, who is sweet but is lonely and finally comes home and meets the men of her dreams. She knows them from her past and this is her chance of happiness and she can have it, only if she reaches out and accepts what they are offering. There is action, suspense, tons of sexual tension and sexual athletics in the story. I loved everything that this story showed and I hope to read more in the Midnight Cove Ménage series.

My rating: 4.6 stars *****

Deception, danger and desire in Midnight Cove

Pastry chef Holiday Jones (Holly) returns to Midnight Cove to help her friend with her catering business for a month while she is between jobs. She runs into her old neighbor crush Ian who is now a billionaire, and bad boy Trent who joined the military and grew up very nicely. She is convinced to stay at Ian’s guest house not knowing that danger is swirling around Ian. Trent is working in security now and following up on email threats to Ian.

Holly also doesn’t know that each man was attracted to her before she left town; Trent stayed away as a tattooed bad boy wasn’t good enough for her, and Ian had stayed away as she was still in high school when he was in college. Ten years later none of those road blocks still exist, and the relationship between these three is scorching.

The danger escalates, as does the feelings between these three. Holly doesn’t want to have to choose, but in Midnight Cove there is already an accepted trio engaged to be married – could that be a possibility?

Marie Carnay now how to write a story so that you can see it with your mind's eye like you are right there with the characters. In this book Holly comes back to her home town to help her friend Hillary with her catering business. She only plans to stay for one month then head back out and start her own baking business or find another job baking somewhere. She hates her home town for lots of reasons you will find when you read the book.
While she is there she happens to run into Trent and Ian two guys who happen to be best friends and they both had crushes on her when she was growing up. They are older than her. She had a thing for one of them and YES you need to read the book to see which one.
This book is full of mystery, suspense and lots of romance and heat. Just saying I enjoyed this book is not expressing how much i really enjoyed this book and how much I am looking forward to Midnight Cove Menage Book 3. I received this book for an honest review.

Wonderful Book! Marie Carnay really knows how to weave together a hot, sizzling menage, a beautiful love story, and an interesting, suspenseful storyline all together into one hard to put down standalone book. I was very excited to come back to Midnight Cove. I enjoyed the previous book set here, and was happy to be back. Holly has come back to town to help her friend, Hillary, with her catering business, when she literally runs into two men that she used to have a crush on in high school, Ian and Trent. Ian is now a billionaire businessman and Trent is a sexy ex military man. They both want her, but can they both share her, and is that what she wants. In the midst of this, there is a story of a dangerous revenge. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Great Story Holiday Jones is back in Midnight Cove to help a friend out while she’s in between jobs in LA. While there, she accidentally runs into Trent Malone. While they're catching up, Ian Knowles sees her and recognizes her. He invites her to stay at his house while she's in town, but the attraction held off from their youth comes back in full force. Having her stay with them just might have put her in danger.
I really liked this story. It was quick and had a full plot (not to mention hawt scenes) that kept you reading. I like the world that this author is creating in Midnight Cove and can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend for anyone that likes this genre.

This book was ok, but if you had read any of her others, it is pretty predictable. You have a good idea of what is going to happen if you read Summer's story. I like that I didn't have to put much thought into it, since I knew Summer's story. Holly is a chef who comes back home to help her friend out, runs into past love, rekindles past love, and past crush, runs away because she can't handle it and society doesn't think it's right, comes back, lives happily ever after. I think I just covered pretty much the whole thing.

This books gives a lot to the reader - romance, sex, and suspense.

You don't have to make a choice between the hot alphas. They are devoted to her and her needs.

I really enjoy the story a lot more when the author takes the time to develop the characters and portray a real love for one another and doesn't just rush to the sex. You know in this book that it is much more than just physical desire for one another.

It is a pretty quick read and keeps your attention.

Exciting suspense, hot and sweet menage romance! Holiday only agreed to return to Midnight Cove on a temporary basis. What she didn't expect was two men from her past, and the feelings the three of them share. Ian has been receiving threats and Trent is trying to find the person responsible. Wow, I loved this book, and this fantastic series!

Holly has quite a delicious selection on the menu when she comes back to Midnight Cove to help her friend with her catering business. Two very different, very attractive men from her past. Will she choose? Can she choose?

What a rollercoaster!!

Wow! I must say that I loved this addition to Midnight Cove series. Ian and Trent are the perfect balance for Holly. I love how it was portrayed and played to their strengths and showed what Holly gets from her guys. The pentacle of the story had me riveted! It was not drawn out, it was just enough suspense to keep it going. I really like the writing style of this author. Good read!

Holiday in Danger furthers the adventures of residents of Midnight Cove. To me this book is a light airy romantic fantasy. There is some drama, some angst. But the prevalent theme in my mind was second chances. Three unhappy people who knew each other 10 plus years ago meeting and finding something new.

Can Trent and company find and neutralize the threat against Ian? Ian, Trent, and Holly are all strong personalities. They have to trust and rely on each other. Can they pull this off?

Was goo would have liked it to be longer and a bite more detailed, seemed to skim through the iimpotant area leading up to the lives of some of the main characters and leading to what the second plot was. If all the books in this series are this short not sure if I will read more, I would not want to pay for the books if they are like this one.

Danger, love and troubled exes.

Ian, Trent and Holly have a past, could they also have a future? They all knew each other years before, Ian and Trent being older than Holly move on and so does she, but there lives collide again only this time they can't escape the pull they feel for each other.

Suspenseful & interesting romance

This is a sweet romance that doesn't start out that way. It starts with confusion & suspense. It ends with all three finding what makes them all happy. Good plot & likable characters. Good read.
