Hidden Talents Trilogy, Book 2
There’s only person in the world Jin trusts: his boss, the ruthless precognitive Jackson Gadamer. When Jackson gave the bizarre order to run off and seek refuge with a rogue group of Talents until further notice, Jin didn’t hesitate. But the waiting game is more complicated than the rebellious telepath expected…and the company much more compelling.
Ken is a total enigma. With mismatched green eyes, head-to-toe scars and a glare that could freeze the sun, the mysterious young Talent has Jin captivated to the point of obsession. The secretive brat seems determined to keep his true powers hidden. But when one of his psychic abilities spiral outs of control, it’s Jin who comes to the rescue…and Ken starts to see the telepath in a different light.
As Jin finally starts to bond with Ken, he starts to wonder how the strange young Talent figures into Jackson’s plans. It’s hard to question a man who can see the future, but there’s something about Ken that Jin wants to keep to himself. When Ken’s curiosity turns into a tantalizing invitation, Jin realizes he’s in over his head…and all he wants to do is dive even deeper.

This book was as great as the first one. Again, one of the things i think it might be a problem is that is not a stand alone and you need to read the first one before, but to me that was good since i loved the first one and loved this one too. First, i think this is more interesting because the reader already know the characters and then can concentrate on the plot and not getting to know the characaters as happens on the first one. I believe the pace is a bit faster in this part. The writting and plot just as good as the first one, My favourite part, the characters become even more interesting here because you get to know more of then and becuase little changes in some of them start to happend and that is just so great. SPOILER ALERT One of the issues i have was with my favourite chracters, Sky, or not actually with him but with the others, the thing for me is that i think some of them are just su unfair with him, sure he is very histrionic, impulsive, dramatic all of that, but that makes him such an easy target from the other anger and it just break my heart to see how they mistreat him and never try to understand him. I always feel so protective about him, but that is the authors job, to transmit an emotion and she did it so good for me with Sky. Having read the previous version of this series, i have to said not just from this but from the first book, that the changes made, make the story more understandable and i'm happily surpise to get to know more about characters that were a bit in the shadows before. I'm learining to love more the ones that i didnt and keep my feelings about the others. Jackson is just so intriguing and i consider im one of the best characters because you'll never get to know what he is thinking, Overall i think is an amazing book, i already start the third one and i'm loving it just as much .
Jin Jackson doesn't know what his attraction to Ken is but deep down he doesn't really question his feelings or actions. With Sky sending off the equivalent of a psychic bomb off in Paris. Now the rogue Talents must flee and settle elsewhere. Meanwhile Ken is trying to figure out who he really is and doesn't want anyone learning his secrets either. As the group prepares to leave for Los Angles much to everyone's dismay. Jackson Gadamer is nudging things in the direction to make his Key Prophecy a reality and will not stop until it's accomplished no matter the cost. Jin wonders what else Jackson hasn't been telling him because Ken points this out. What are Jackson's true plans? Will Jin gain Ken's trust? Your answers await you in Wind Change.
This challenging and bold sequel constantly keeps you guessing which way is up or down. I honestly despise Jackson's know it all attitude and smugness around Jin. Ken fascinates me on many levels. I can't wait to see where the final book leads too.
Things are heating up for the hybrid Talents and with KGA putting all their resources into finding the rogue telepath Jin, the group from KRSI have been forced to move across the world to California.
But the drama doesn’t end when they land in sunny Los Angeles. It has only just begun.
Talents are waking from the dead, Ken is realising his powers, and his suspicions of Jackson Gadamar’s motives for joining forces are creating conflict with Jin.
The second book in this trilogy is just as good as the first, and continues the dramatic lives of these broken souls.
Everyone is damaged. Everyone is hurting. And the games Jackson is playing in the background is causing more chaos.
I love this series! "Wind Change" is book 2 in The Hidden Talents Trilogy and even better and more intriguing than book 1 "Rebel Hell". You never know who to trust, who's going to lose it next, who's actually behind anything that happens and who's truly dead or even able to die. I was so engrossed in this book that I lost all track of time. When I was finished with it I looked at the clock and it was 4:38 am. I was lying on my couch in the living room and never heard mhy son in law come in from work, never noticed my daughter get up cut the TV off and go to her room, I didn't even realize my entire house had went completely dark and I was reading by just the light on my kindle. That's how good this book is. I can't wait until 4pm and the kids go home so I can read book 3. I received this book in exchange for an honest review
This is the book in the middle. This is where the characters are further developed, the suspense gets more intense, the puzzles more puzzling and you can`t wait to see what happens next. In this regard, this part of the story was very well done indeed. What is Jackson up to? How is he manipulating all his puppets? Is he better than Strauss? He has to be, doesn't he? You really need to read the last book in the trilogy to find out. I know I do.
I loved this whole series and I'm glad I picked it up. The characters were all likeable, even Jackson, who was a big know-it-all. But I guess that comes with being a precog :)
I was really worried about Ken and Jin. It seemed to take so long for Jin to break through but FINALLY, whew :)
It seems like Ken is the ONE!!! I hope he continues to be strong enough for his band or his "family".

This book has some qualities that's typical of middle books in trilogies in that it's setting up everything in the climax without answering a lot of questions, which can be frustrating, but because all these characters are so likeable and the plot is interesting and fast moving, it was still an exciting read. These books are all relatively short but do a lot more than many trilogies I've read with double or more page counts. I find myself wishing they were a lot longer.
I enjoyed this one better and the characters got more complicated and even better. I love the way things came together and how everyone comes together somehow. It was very well written and I am very glad I got to review it
