Kristian Jobe was living every man's dream. Health, wealth, and faith in God characterized his life, until tragedies of epic proportions strike him. Now he must cope with his accusing friends, and struggle to grasp why his loving God would allow a good man to suffer.
It felt weird, like the story was still set in the old testament (in the modern society) even though they mentioned the birth of Jesus. I think that there should be the difference.
Jobe is a modern day twist on the Biblical account of Jobe. Imagine the richest man in the world today, he has it all; fortune, fame, family, faith, etc. But when all of that is stripped away will he remain faithful to God who has blessed him with so much?
Jobe is written well and a short, but interesting read that I would recommend for all readers. This is insightful and well done.
