The Dalai Lama's Cat #1

Rate this book

After all the maniacal googling I didn't manage to find anything better than this photo, but I think it's the Real HHC.
Being a cat addict I had to read this. And of course learning some more about Buddhism was only a huge plus. Did you know that Buddha loved and respected cats? You won't learn this from this book, but surprise, surprise - His Holiness Dalai Lama loves cats too!
First I had a mixed feelings as to what was the target audience of this book - was it balanced for teens, grannies or crazy cat ladies like me, since the cat's POV is a bit... specific, let's say. And after finishing the book I am still not sure, but I don't give a f***. I really liked the heart warming tone of it with some major principles of one of the greatest religions explained in a simple and encouraging way. There's some humour in it and a lot of wisdom too.
Chicken soup for the soul? Hell yeah, something like that and you definitely deserve it, so cut yourself some slack and check the life of His Holinesses Cat in her own words.

A particularly illuminating treasure of a book on the Power of Miaou.

The main hero is a cat, the Dalai Lama's cat, flirting, ruminating on energy and dharma, pondering psychology, quoting 'The Great Gatsby'... Oh, my!

I immensely enjoyed it! And... well... I just might happen to be a cat myself!

A nice little book and a quick read. It is kind of a beginner's guide to Buddhism with your instructor being a cat with a fairly high opinion of herself and the ability to eat herself into a butterball. Of course she changes her ways as she observes her master, the Dalai Lama, and absorbs some of his teachings.

It's all very cute and there are lots of nice pieces about enlightenment and understanding of how best to live. The Dalai Lama comes across as charming as he probably is, and the cat leads a wonderful life. No stress reading this book - all good.

The Dalai Lama’s Cat is a multi-layered treatise on the practical aspects of Buddhist teachings cloaked in the delightful tale of a cat who becomes the pet of the Dalai Lama. Besides introducing us to the fascinating life at the residence of one of the great spiritual leaders of our time, the story weaves together self-deprecating humor and profound teaching through the adventures of HHC (His Holiness’s Cat) a.k.a Snow Lion. Snow Lion is “Everycat” who aspires to being a “bodhicatva”, with all the foibles of his human companions- pride, insecurities, jealousy, over-eating and challenges to being a good meditator. At counterpoint is the Dalai Lama, who rescues Snow Lion, and whose compassionate presence transforms the lives of all the characters.

Author David Michie has already shown us ways to integrate Tibetan Buddhist teaching into everyday life through his previous best sellers, Buddhism for Busy People and Hurry Up and Meditate. But if lightness and humor are a hallmark of enlightened perspective, then Michie’s feline tale offers his readers a purrfectly enchanting entree into the real life benefits of spiritual practice with a delightful dollop of whimsy to keep us laughing at ourselves.

For someone who almost never reads self-help books and knows very little about Buddhism, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the story. Hats off to the author for cleverly finding a way to transform what otherwise would be a dry and academic read into a charming and entertaining narrative with the help of this (self-described) The Most Beautiful Creature That Ever Lived

description

I began to think that perhaps the time had come for me to write a book of my own-a book that would convey some wisdom I’ve learned sitting not at the feet of the Dalai Lama but even closer, on his lap. A book that would tell my own tale-not so much one of rags to riches as trash to temple.

Rescued from the streets of New Delhi by the Dalai Lama, an abandoned and injured kitten became the household pet with many names ranging from HHC (His Holiness’s Cat) to Rinpoche (precious) to Snow Lion and Mouser depending on who is addressing her and their mood.
The book follows her adventures in town and in the monastery and passes along lessons without being preachy as she deals with jealousy over the arrival of an unwanted puppy, pesky fur balls, her expanding waistline (too many locals enjoy feeding her), and whether to play hard-to-get with the tiger tabby who's caught her eye.

Alongside centuries old traditions there are blogs, espressos, computers, and the internet--it is a timely and a timeless tale.
I also enjoyed observations of daily life in Dharamsala where the self-styled Tibetan government in exile works in a town full of hippies, scholars, and tourists.

Recommended for cat lovers, Dalai Lama fans or any reader who'd enjoy a charming novel peppered with universal wisdom.

I confess: I am not a cat person. I've always believed them to be arrogant and they don't give you anywhere near the same level of affection as a dog does. Dogs are happy all the time whereas cats are jerks pretty much all the time. I'm also allergic, so yeah that makes me a bit biased towards dogs, too.

So this was surprisingly adorable and I didn't mind His Holiness's Cat at all! HHC is still arrogant and is far too preoccupied with food to give out any major doses of affection, but she was an entertaining voice. I've never read a book written by a cat before.

It's a relatively short and simple story - a few little happenings to drive the story, but most of all this is a small glimpse into spiritual enlightenment, and how you can make small changes to the way you think in order to lead a happier, more fulfilling life. The knowledge is shared via overheard conversations and are accompanied by a feline metaphor to show the growing wisdom of our MC (Main Cat). It's a work of fiction, but the principles are true enough, and I'd be fascinated to know how much research and reality went into the composition of this novel.

As a story, there's not a huge amount of substance, but for those looking for more in their lives who maybe aren't too keen on delving into the genre of self-help/development or spiritual, this is a great read. It shares some fantastic ideas and inspirations but because our friend HHC is just an ignorant cat, it never comes across as preachy.

A delightful little story with a unique narrator and some profound ideas for furthering self development. Highly recommend. Even if you're not a cat person, like me.

More often than I'd like to admit, I judge a book by its cover. This one had a really cute cat.

What I thought I was going to get: an original, funny, light-hearted point of view on Buddhism. Possibly without butchering a culture, as it so often happens when a white guy decides to explain to other white guys what another religion/culture/country is all about.

What I got: a cat that is inexplicably knowledgeable about american/english gossip and explains Buddhism to, apparently, five-year-old readers through a series of mildly interesting parables concerning extremely flat characters.

One these flat characters even peppers her language with random italian words, much like a caricature. Heh.

All in all, this book feels like a ploy to make money off of Buddhism, and a very simplified form of it at that. This fictional cat even has its own Facebook page. I wonder what the Dalai Lama thinks of that?

I really don't get all the positive reviews, unless you come from a place of having never heard anything on Buddhism or need someone to break it down for you in very, very tiny pieces. Am I missing something here?

This will teach me to ignore the cover next time around.

Unless there's a cat on it.

(Note to self: week 8 of the 2015 reading challenge: a funny book)

I love cats and I'm also interested in religions, so which is the best way to learn something about Buddhism if not through the cat of the Dalai Lama?
This cat, that has many names, is the narrator and tells us about her daily life in the Dalai Lama's house and her adventures outside. She has been saved as a kitten by the Dalai Lama from some children that wanted to throw her away. He brings her home and so she starts living in Dharamsala with the Dalai Lama.
It is a very nice and funny story, but it also teaches us some important teachings of Buddhism. It can't be considered a deep book about Buddhism, nor a self-help or something like this. It is simply the story of this cat, her daily worries and problems, and she shares what she learns with the reader: to be more compassionate, to don't think always only about ourselves, that we don't have to live a life influenced by our fears, that things aren't always as we imagine, that there is no need to be afraid of changes in life because they can lead to something better, etc. These principles are explained by the Dalai Lama's cat in a flowing and funny way, it is not at all preachy.

This book was since a long time in my wishlist, and I'm glad that I finally decided to read it. I would recommend it to anyone who loves cats, that needs something funny and easy to read, and also to people who want to know the basics about Buddhism. Though the book is simple and easy to read, it explains however important principles that could teach us to live a less stressful life, to know ourselves better to become also a better and more patient person.

Really a lovely book!

Delightful book that leaves the reader smiling, and hopefully, just a little bit better person for having taken in the positive messages. David Michie is clearly a fan of the Dalai Lama, as well as someone who completely understands cats.

A Cat Of Many Names

My interest in Buddhism and in the Dalai Lama, together with my adoption two months ago of a darling year-old cat, prompted me to read this new novel "The Dalai Lama's Cat" by David Michie. A resident of Australia, Michie has written a number of popular introductions to Buddhism with titles such as "Buddhism for Busy People" and "Enlightenment on the Go." His novel has an appealing surface simplicity and accessibility.

This story is recounted in the first person by the title character -- the Dalai Lama's cat. Even with highly accomplished authors, books in which an animal is the primary character, not to speak of the narrator, run high risks of anthropomorphism or just plain cuteness or preciousness. The highly reflective cat that narrates this story is not free of either quality, particularly as she seems to develop her variant of a Buddhist practice -- she aims to become a "bohdicatva" as is said more than once. (In Tibetan Buddhism a Bohdisattva is a person who defers his or her own individual enlightenment to work towards the enlightenment of all sentient beings. It is a high ideal.) Yet, the figure of the cat is deliberately outrageous and outlandish and in the context of the book it mostly works. The book also works because Michie knows cats very well and loves them. When the cat is not discussing Buddhism but is instead behaving -- as a cat-- lovers of cats will recognize their favorite animal.

The story begins with H.H. the Dalai Lama and his retinue are driving through the streets upon returning from the United States and rescue a tiny bedraggled but apparently pedigree stray cat from a group of boys who are trying to sell her and the rest of the liter. The little kitty is brought to the Dalai Lama's residence where he quickly becomes beloved. Different people offer different names for the cat throughout the story. She is usually referred to as "HHC" for His Holiness' cat. The Dalai Lama himself calls her "Snow Lion". Other people call her names including "Rinpoche" or "Mousie-Tung".

Michie combines the antics of the cat with perceptive portrayals of the Dalai Lama and his teachings. The characterization of the Dalai Lama in his simplicity, wisdom, and humanity is similar to the many portrayals of this Tibetan spiritual leader that are readily available in books and articles. On his new pet, the Dalai Lama comments simply and wisely, without anthropomorphizing, that cats, as do all sentient beings including humans, want to be loved. In his capacity as a house cat, the narrator gets to know the Dalai Lama intimately and to be party to his many meetings with other people, both famous and obscure. In the various chapters of the book, stories of the cat and her adventures are combinded with a specific teaching of the Dalai Lama in a way that brings out the teachings and entertains. (For example, in one chapter teachings on the need for self-control are combined with a story about how the cat is pampered and overfed by people both within and without the Dalai Lama's residence. The vet puts her on a diet. When I took my new kitty to the vet, I was told she was fat and needed to lose weight.) Didacticism and simple Buddhism are combined with fun and irreverence. (Note: Six years after writing this review, the cat is still fat.)

The human characters introduced include members of Dalai Lama's retinue as well as other monks, world leaders, actors and actresses and authors, entrepreneurs, and simple people. Each character either teaches or learns as described through the cat's-eye. Among the individuals described is the Dalai Lama's longstanding chef, an Italian widow named Mrs. Trinci. Shortly after the cat arrives, she narrates an exchange between the two as Mrs. Trinci hesitantly asks the Dalai Lama: "I have been coming to cook here for more than twenty years, but you have never tried to convert me. Why is that?" The Dalai Lama responds:

"The purpose of Buddhism is not to convert people. It is to give them tools so they can create greater happiness. So they can be happier Catholics, happier atheists, happier Buddhists. There are many practices, and I know you are already very familiar with one of them...... It is the wonderful paradox...that the best way to achieve happiness for oneself is to give happiness to others."

"The Dalai Lama's Cat" is a delightful novel that reminded me of many Buddhist teachings and that will serve as an introduction to readers new to the subject. As for cats, and other creatures, it is still better to love them as they are.

In this book you will find a cat's eye view of Buddhism; call it an illumination of Buddhism perhaps. After all, what is a feline who walks at the heels [and occasionally bites at the ankles] of one of the great spiritual leaders to do but study the path toward Enlightenment?

The narrator cat immediately experiences the foundation of Buddhist thought; `compassion for all living things'; in action when the Dalai Lama rescues her - half-drowned, starving and near dead - from the gutters of New Delhi. It's the first step the feline [and the reader] take down the path towards the illumination of Buddhist thought.

Much of the book consists of the cat's observations: of His Holiness, of his followers, of students and of the personages that come and go through the temple doors. These observations of the `enlightened' and the `not so enlightened' are then refined to illuminate her feline world view. Sounds heavy, doesn't it? It's not. You spend a lot of time figuring out who the various famous visitors are. You are moved by some of the situations and laugh with Snow Lion's observations. The `nuggets' of Buddhism shared are not `preachy' - you don't have to be Buddhist or even religious to find them both interesting and useful in every day life.

If you're looking for a warm, fuzzy, `kitty' story; you won't find that here. If you're looking for the revelations of Great Truth, you won't find that here either. What you will find is a good, thought-provoking read. One you'll probably recommend to friends or give as a gift.

Initial Thoughts Upon Finishing
This was a book such a sweet and fun book to read. The whole story is written from the cat's perspective and I can say and if you're a cat person then there's absolutely no way you won't fall in love with this book. It's both an immensely enjoyable read and absolutely hilarious and it won't fail to be thought provoking on topics of how you live your life - there are just too many quotes and moments in this book for me to write down that made me really laugh!
"It was his habit to ask visitors if they minded having me in the room. Some humans, it seems, are afflicted with an allergy that must be as devastating as a violent reaction to, say, Belgian truffles, Italian coffee, or Mozart."

The Dalai Lama’s Cat
The frustrating thing about this book is the simple fact that I put off reading it for so long. The book was given to me as a gift many years ago but for some reason or another I never found myself picking it up to read. So, if you happen to be in a similar situation as myself, then I cannot express it enough: read this book.
"Why should His Holiness not have a cat-if, indeed, "having a cat" is a correct understanding of the relationship?"

I was surprised at how entertaining the story was and how much I fell in love with the narrator: HHC. The cat was everything that you’d imagine a feline narrator to be; if you have a cat for a pet then I cannot say how much you will simply adore this.

The book is the story of HHC, of how she found herself to be the pet and companion to the Dalai Lama. It’s very much so a story of discovery through the teachings of the Buddhist community but largely it is the ridiculously entertaining memoirs of a cat who thinks very highly of herself, indeed. I can promise you that you will laugh out loud throughout this journey and not regret it one bit.
"If we are wise, the greatest problems can lead to the greatest insights."

Buddhism
The one thing I should probably address that you’re wondering, is: will I like this as much as you claim if it is a story heavily seated in Buddhism? Something I neither practice nor know anything about?

Well, dear reader — as HHC would say — lay your fears aside. Whilst this is, without a doubt, a story about what Buddhism teaches, it is not an exclusively religious story at all: it really is just the story of a cat who happens to be in Buddhist surrounds. So don’t even consider religious elements as being a potential negative factor of this book because it doesn’t read like that at all.

It does not matter how much you know or don’t know about Buddhism either. The faith does not intend to convert or confront you. I am not Buddhist but this is absolutely one of my favourite books for this year. What this book does offer, however, is a multitude of honestly intriguing and thought-provoking life lessons; it is a quick and delightful read. So PLEASE: do not judge this book for its religious affiliations.

Characters
Moving on, I have to discuss the characters! The book benefits greatly from being told from the perspective of a cat. HHC’s observations of the world are very honest and the way that she notes and observes the changes in the characters as they develop throughout the book were lovely.

The Dalai Lama himself was a gorgeous character, as was to be expected. I loved hearing him impart words of wisdom upon those who came to seek it. The other monks were also fantastic characters and whilst I’ve not looked to see if Michie has portrayed real people, inspirations from real people, or entirely fictitious characters, he has certainly done a wonderful job of putting them on the pages.

A Rewarding Read
When I finished the book I desperately wanted it to keep going. I do love where the story leaves us but I could not get enough of these characters. If anything, I would have loved to have seen more of the setting. Evidently, we are limited to do this because of our narrator being a cat who does not venture too far from her home, but it would have been lovely to explore some of the beautiful areas that were nearby.

I definitely think this book is a rewarding read and enlightening in more ways than one. You’ll fall in love with the character for sure and it’s a nice break from your heavy fantasy or historical fiction books!

Summary
Overall, I cannot recommend this book enough. I think there is a wealth of things to take from this book and it is otherwise a magnificent and entertaining read. I am very keen to read more written by Michie because he is clearly a very talented author (and from Perth!). Just do yourself a favour and find a copy of this book to entertain your thoughts with something just a little different to your norm!

Happy reading!

Exquisite, enriching, witty and funny. A cat is adopted by His Holiness Dalai Lama and she lands up in Dharmshala receiving the utmost attention, care and luxury. While the days go on, the cat experiences various events while living with the Buddhist monks which lead to philosophical pondering about life, happiness and meditation. Narrated from the cat's point of view, the book tries to teach the reader basic tenets of Buddhism without making the book sound like a self help. There are some excerpts in the book which will make you laugh and others which will make you to take a moment and reflect on your own life.
I was attracted by the title of this book and hence took it up without knowing anything about the subject. I am glad I did.

An effortless read. Finished the book in a day because once I started, I just could not stop. David Michie has done a fabulous job of introducing the basic concepts of Buddhism to the readers in a very casual and non- preachy fashion. Though the theme of the book is Buddhism, I believe it will appeal equally to the spiritual as well as the non-spiritual readers.

Udomljuje ju nitko drugi nego Dalaj lama i ona u njegovoj rezidenciji doživljava razne zgode i nezgode većinom prouzročene njenim mačjim karakterom.
Evo i dva zgodna citata (iako sam ih mogla milijun prepisati):
„Misao se očituje u riječi; riječ se očituje kao djelo; djelo prerasta u naviku, a navika se utvrđuje u karakter.“
„ U budizmu bismo“ lama je izazovno zabacio glavu – „rekli da ste lijeni. Preziranje samog sebe, uvjerenje da ne vrijediš ništa, tvrdnja „ja to ne mogu“. To je razmišljanje slabosti. Morate nastojati to prevladati.“

This is a warmhearted tale of a small Himalayan kitten rescued from near death from the slums of New Delhi, and given a home with the Dalai Lama. In her new home, Snow Lion (also called HHC, for His Holiness's Cat), encounters Hollywood stars, Buddhist masters, Ivy League professors, and other people who come to visit the Dalai Lama. Each encounter offers insight into finding happiness and meaning in the midst of lives that are busy and full of challenges. Through Snow Lion's experiences, we learn that instead of trying to change the world, the way to true contentment is changing the way we react and experience the world.

I really enjoyed this book; I learned a lot about Buddhism that I did not before, as well as learning that some things I thought I knew about it, I was wrong about. I think that no matter what your religious beliefs are, or if you do not have any religious beliefs at all, there are things we can all learn from Buddhism. In fact, this quote from the book sums it up best; "The purpose of Buddhism is not to convert people. It is to give them tools so they can be happier Catholics, happier atheists, happier Buddhist."

This book certainly gave me some things to look about, especially how even if I can't always change the circumstances of my life, I can change the attitude with which I view them.

Buddhist teachings from the POV of His Holiness’ Cat wrapped up in a charming little story. A very relaxing and particularly endearing listen.

Heartwarming story told by a cat and her adventures and anecdotes in the home of the Dalai Lama, filled also with reflections and teachings from him. Lots of joy and peace by reading this book.

Man labai patiko pati knygos idėja ir katės papasakota istorija. Daug išminties. Ypač patiko istorijos, kuriuose įvykių grandinė, kai vienas įvykis ar sprendimas veda prie kito, kai viskas susidėlioja netikėtai ir labai teisingai - KARMA. Deja, ne visus puslapius buvo įdomu skaityti, kai ką norėjosi praversti ar greičiau pabaigti.

Absolutely lovely. I feel like I learned more about myself and Buddhism in these pages, and also gained a sense of hopefulness for the future.
This is a very light read, but one that will stay with me for a while.
Told from the perspective of the Dalai Lama's cat, we get to follow her on all of her adventures through Jokhang and all of the people she gets to meet, including monks, celebrities, cafe owners and chefs.
Through her journey, we see that there is more to this life than selfish ideals.
Take for example, the pursuit of mindfulness: maybe the most important thing I learned from this book is to be mindful of every activity you do throughout the day. Instead of thinking about what to do next, think about what you're doing in that exact moment. For someone who has anxiety issues and likes to multi-task, this is a very important lesson.

The book also emphasizes that personal happiness comes from a want and a desire to make others happy. I forget what the actual Buddhist term for this is, but it's definitely something i need to practice in my own life.

Each chapter in this novel draws on a different Buddhist philosophy, and the reader gets drawn into the world of the cat, (dubbed HHC- His Holiness's Cat,) who learns Buddhist teachings and applies them to her own life while the Dalai Lama and others teach those around them who come for help.

Other than the actual themes of the book itself, there is a wide variety of characters who are each enjoyable in their own way. Franc, the cafe owner who learns selflessness, Mrs. Trinci, the chef who learns that anger is not a part of who you are but instead an aspect that can be changed with patience, Chogyal and Tenzin, the Dalai Lama's closest monks & essentially personal advisors, and of course we have the Dalai Lama himself.
Each of these characters are heartwarming in a new way, and it's very easy to see yourself in them as they navigate their own human troubles.

All in all, I'm very happy I picked this up. Actually, speaking of karma, when I was reading this some chaotic things were happening in my life and it was very opportune that I was able to read and learn about ways to stay mindful, loving and patient while dealing with them.

Would highly recommend to anyone, whether they just want a light read or would light some extra insight into the world of Buddhism.

Also it's narrated by a cat, and who doesn't want that? :)

Labiausiai man patiko, kad knyga pasakojama... katės.

Gavau daug atsakymų į klausimus, kurie man ilgai nedavė ramybės.

This book is really a thinly disguised instruction book on the Buddhist way of viewing and living life. In this particular tale an abandoned and injured kitten is rescued from the streets of Delhi by the Dalai Lama, becomes the household pet, and proceeds to give readers second hand life lessons based on the teachings of Buddhism that she has acquired by listening and observing (a lesson in itself and something we could all benefit from) as the Dalai Lama receives "students" and guests from around the globe.

Like most of the dog lover's books out today, this one is geared to the cat lovers of the world and is filled with a plethora of valuable thoughts to ponder such as: "all lives, even ones that appear insignificant, are of value and have meaning" or "it is not so much the circumstances of our lives that make us happy or unhappy but how we perceive them so that if viewed properly even the most unfortunate circumstances can become amazing opportunities for personal growth". Added to these are insights into the theory of Karma (my mother explained it as - what goes around, comes around).

THE DALAI LAMA'S CAT is an often amusing romp through the life of a this most unusual, educated and highly moral cat whose names are many and varied and range from HHC (his Holinesses cat) to Rinpoche (precious) to Snow Lion and Mouser depending on the circumstances at any given moment.

While author David Michie's has come up with a "CATivating and imaginative way to explain the Buddhist religion and the collection of characters he assembled in the book to receive the "teachings" that ran the gamut from self-help guru to a supporter of the Free Tibet Campaign to heads of state to a local café owner were diverse and interesting, for me the book got a little redundant at about the three quarter mark. At that point, I had "gotten the message" and my attention level was slowly waning. Perhaps my enlightenment is in need of further lessons in patience.

Simpaticno ispricana svakodnevica budistickog svecenika Dalaj Lame onako kako ju vidi njegova macka.

U ovo vrijeme velikih društvenih podjela i sebičnosti možda bi većina ljudi trebala slijediti bar pokoji dio o toleranciji, ljubavi i spokoju.

The cover of this book is what originally drew me to wanting to read it. I can't pass up a book with a cat on the cover. And this one did not disappoint!

As I started reading it, I realized it was so much more than just a cat story. The book is narrated by Snow Lion, cat of the Dalai Lama. It was an interesting and fun read through the eyes of a very lucky kitten who was rescued from harm and taken in by the Dalai Lama.

I did not know much at all about Buddhism but this book taught me quite a bit of the basics in simple terms through the cat. She tells of conversations she hears and sees as she goes about her daily life. There was actually a lot of good inspiring messages to think about in this book. And since HHC (His Holiness' Cat) has a sense of humor, it was also fun to read.

We meet a variety of people throughout this book and learn something to inspire us in all of their situations. I enjoyed the easy flow of the writing of this author and would like to read more of his books. He has a way of writing that holds your interest and makes you want to hear more about the teachings of the Dalai Lama.

If you are a cat lover or someone looking to learn more about the Dalai Lama and Buddhism, I do recommend this book to you. You will thoroughly enjoy this book. I know I did!

* I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

A fun way of learning about Buddhism and a thoroughly entertaining read. This is a tale told by a cat rescued as a kitten by the Dalai Lama. She learns a few life lessons directly but mostly learns from eavesdropping on her master's onversations when receiving various celebrities. These people are not named of course, but sometimes it's easy to make a guess at their identity.
The author is obviously a cat lover and shows great understanding of their ways.
I would recommend this to anyone interested in Buddhist ideas or simply as an absorbing read for a cat lover.

Buddhism through the perspective of a Himalayan Cat! It was an interesting read. Through His Holiness's Cat herself I could feel myself close to the Dalai Lama. There were some things I were supposed to hear from this book and there were perspectives I wanted to learn through the cat's learning. Most of them were not new to me but they seemed more like a reminder.

There were times where I felt kinda bored but it was a read I cherished.

I'm just waiting to read next book. I'm excited to meet the HHC's kittens!!
