Frank Percy Wilson FBA was a British literary scholar and bibliographer. Author of many works on Elizabethan drama and general editor of the Oxford History of English Literature, Wilson was Merton Professor of English Literature at the University of Oxford from 1947 to 1957.

Whilst a little dry in tone, it was an interesting to have a book focus on the plague times of London and the effect it had on society. The way in which London didn't cope with infection and its lack of understanding in how the plague was spread seems amazing in this day and age. It was nice to read 'Necropolis, London and its dead' at the same time as the information crossed over and i was almost surprised to find it was not in the bibliography!
As a proper history book there were more figures than I could take in, but it was worth spending the time on it.
