Maybe it is because I watched Love Never Dies recently, but I'm starting to think this series has Phantom vibes but if Raoul also wrote music.

THIS VOLUME IS SOOOOOO GOOD YALL. It was completely GOLDEN. Wow! Best volume yet! I can't even write a comprehensible review because of how great this volume is! This is probably the best volume ever!

I felt like we finally saw the best character development from both Alice and Yuzu! We also understand here why Momo had to "leave". AND we FINALLY FINALLY find out WHY Yuzu's mom doesn't want him to do anything with music. This volume had sooooo much promise and excitement and I'm reaaaaally looking forward to the next volume.

No matter how juvenile, angsty or self centered these characters can be... I just love them so much. Even though I know the outcome of the story overall, it's not making the journey any less enjoyable. This story just makes me ache in a way - I want all the characters to be happy even though when I read it doesn't feel like that's a possibility, someone is going to be left heartbroken (possibly more than one someone).

The story has grabbed a hold of me and won't let go.

Okay...I am a LITTLE more sympathetic to Momo right now. He's obviously been through some difficult things.
Still not ready to say I like him.

I'm not a big fan of the storyline with the one character having a crush on his sister-in-law. I mean, I don't think it's being presented as a good thing, but it's still awkward.

Other than that, I enjoyed this volume!

What a volume!

There feels like a genuine leveling up of everyone in different aspects of their life, not just in music. I think each one of them is being brave and stepping into a new adventure that requires more from them then just being content with what they have. It is really awesome and I am so nervously excited for all these characters! <3

And the school festival! YES! I have been waiting for some more concert and this one was so exceptionally well done! I never expected that Alice would lose her voice so to speak, but this volume really addresses that!

And Momo! :o :o :o It is really hard to dislike his character knowing some of his backstory. Even with Yuzu and things with his Mom! It's like how I felt about both these situations and/or characters originally has now been flipped on its head. Momo's mom is an absolute jerk and I do NOT like her, while I think there is something more to Yuzu's mom then how we first meet/see her.

One thing that makes Anonymous Noise unique is that this love triangle is not really a love triangle. I mean it is, but it isn't. I find it fascinating that our main guys are battling for Alice, but without her realizing. NOT because she is "ditzy" to all the "drama," but because it's a battle in music. I couldn't help but lean in when reading as I saw that unfold and HOW it unfolded. This mangaka does a really amazing job of keeping you on your toes because I thought I knew what would happen, but nothing happened the way I expected. I suppose that is why I am enjoying this series so much because so much of it is centered around music and conveying their feelings (even if they are hiding their REAL feelings).

SO, overall, I deeply enjoyed this volume! I feel the stakes are higher and that all our characters are giving more than they have before and can't wait to see what they do next!

It is pretty hard to get love triangles right in this age of silly young adult novels. But Fukuyama does an excellent job of making us like both Momo And Yuzu and their obsession with our Nino/Alice. Each volume will feature a big rock concert, Nino growing with her voice, and Yuzu/Momo coming to terms with the mothers that are ruining both of their lives.

Story: Yuzu snuck in a song that was partially written by Momo in order to get Nino out of her fugue during their small concert. It works like a charm, Nino feels she can not only keep up with the song but also perfect it; the response on the small audience is electric and Nino is inspired: she wants to sing even more and continue to capture the audience's attention. Momo, of course, hears her singing and it brings back bitter memories but also good ones; as much as he hates to lose to Yuzu he also knows that it would be too dangerous for him to be with Nino. His mother would find a way to ruin them for her own gain. At the end of the chapter, a new couple appears....

The big crescendo of the small concert took up a portion of the first part of the book. There was also an interlude with Kuro having to come to terms with being in love with this brother's wife, Ui. And then the stage was set at the end for Nino and Yuzu to do a set of concerts across the area. Yuzu has more resolve to continue to fight Momo for Alice and Momo has to decide how much he is going to let Yuzu do for Alice without interfering on his own.

In all, another good volume full of emotion and music. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

Warnings: parental abuse, self-injury

This volume managed to bring back my interest in the main love triangle, as Yuzu pits both his and Momo's songs against each other in an effort to 'wake up' Nino who has been morose since Momo's second disappearance. Most of the story takes place at the school festival, where the pop music club is performing a concert of four songs. Miou steals the show with her voice, but 'Alice' grabs the audience with her power, and you know what, I could feel that energy vibrating in that room reflected in the artwork. Nino's performances usually have a backdrop of emotional turmoil or self-realization going on, and while it started off that way, she slowly is beginning to walk on the path of her own voice. And the feelings both the boys evoke in her through the way they write songs for her was so well done! Aside from Nino's arc, we also learn more about Yuzu's and Momo's complicated relationships with their abusive mothers. And as for In No Hurry, they are about to embark on another new stage in their career. Overall, it was an intense and gripping installment.

I was very inspired by this book. I really wish that I could write music that is good enough to be able to sing it to inspire others just as Alice does. The want Alice has for being able to have her voice reach people inspires me greatly. I would love to have an influence on a group of people like she does. She is my inspiration to keep writing, to keep trying, and living for others even if I'm not living for myself. It helps me to keep going knowing that anyone can influence others if they keep working at it. I will keep working and keep trying to reach my goal. I want to make this world a place worth living for all people.

The reason why I started reading this manga is because of the anime. I love the love triangle between Nino, Yuzu and Momo. I want Nino to choose Yuzu so badly. The 2nd male lead syndrome starts again... Anyways, I love this volume in the manga because there was character development present. I love to see how Nino, Yuzu and the rest of the In No Hurry To Shout members grow. They have goals to work towards to and the strive to want to be better. Momo changed as well. From the selfish prick, he was in the past. I love to see the next volume of this manga.

Nino plays Momo's song at the school festival and totally rocks it, while he listens in and he loves that she is finally singing one of his songs. After the festival, both Nino and Yuzu decide they need to change. Nino wants to improve her singing and Yuzu wants to write songs for others (and he still wants to beat Momo). Nino's mom will let him write songs till the end of school on one condition, that he sing for her before graduation (and he hasn't been able to since his dad died). Recommended for ages 14+, 4 stars.

Alice sings with so much intensity. She comes screaming off the page, and even without being able to hear a note of what she's singing you know it's incredible. Now that's skill in writing and drawing to accomplish this. Wow, these music manga really are amazing!

I love the character development I'm seeing here as well. Watching Nino and Yuzu start composing music together shows another side to them and gives them a richer and deeper understanding of the music they want to create. I can't wait to see where this goes next.

Really 3 and half stars instead of 4. (Oh why can’t we give half stars?)

Good chunk of the volume is Nino’s nonsense at festival, I really wish she’d just sing normally instead of either stalling out or forcing the band to play catch-up. (Maybe the anime depicts how she sings in a way that I can get behind. Instead of clunky why it come across to me in print.) We do get to see some of Kuro’s home life. Which of course is drama filled. Nice to see some focus on the other band members.

FINALLY, some possible movement? It seems that everyone is making at least some sort of attempt to get unstuck from their unhealthy obsessions. We will see where this actually leads, though. Eventually. When I either convince Eva to get the rest of this series for me, or I get a library card for one of our neighboring cities that have it. Sigh...

Aww, Nino, Yuzu, and Momo love music; it's their way of expressing themselves.

Oh, damn, Nino knew that it was Momo's song. Wow!

Kuro, why did you betray your brother and have feelings for his wife? Oh no! That's trouble.

Aww, Yuzu wants to sing their collab song with Alice herself. That's the sweetest dream ever!

On to the next volume🔥

LOVED THIS!!! I love this series so much and this volume was no exception. I will say that my favorite character is still Yuzu however I am starting to like Momo and Nino more (still ship Yuzu and Nino though). Really excited for the next volume to see how it all continues to unfold.

I like that this series continues to have surprises and plot twists, but that they are not unreasonable. This volume again gave some new surprising information and I can't wait to see how this pans out in future volumes.

Still feeling like nothing really new, not much character growth at all these last few volumes. The drama is kinda over the top, which is sometimes fun but sometimes just eye roll worthy. The art is decent, so that's a plus. I think if I was newer to manga, I'd like it better in all honesty.

There was an intense amount of emotion expressed into this volume. We get to see a whole new side of many of the characters, and even some love for some of our less appreciated main cast. I can't wait to read the next volume.

I’m really loving how characters are trying to carry a theme of change within themselves. They’re changing for themselves and for the good of the people around them so they can improve, it’s really nice to see that after some frustrating recurring obstacles! I’m rooting for Yuzu!!

Nino takes the stage with her friends/band mates at the school festival. They are going to put on a concert as the Pop Music Club.

Can they keep their act together?
