She should be walking away from him. Screw walking, she should be sprinting! Her mind screams at her to go, but her body, her heart, and some sick part of her soul that thrives on danger demands she stay. He’s wanted to kill her before and she had survived.
She looks into Azrael’s cold, red eyes, so different to the clear blue ones she came to love.
The question remains: Can she save him? And if she can’t, can she bring herself to kill him?
This book was much better than the first onein my opinion. I will admit that the firs 3-4 chapters felt a little rushed (catching us up on the 3 months of developments and romance issues with Azrael and lil) but after Lucifer shows up the book improved immensely.
Rebecca, Seb, and Benedict are back and wonderful as always.
My favorite part of Lil in this book is that she is no longer the Damsel in distress. She kicks butt and takes names proving to everyone that she can accomplish the impossible and that she is worthy of Lucifer's Ire.
This book was quick moving and introduced us to some fun new characters:
Iris who is a wonderful dark happy little breath of fresh air.
Caleb - who I don't trust or like. Poo on you.
The only thing missing from this book was the Azrael Lil interaction we all love. There was a littl ebit but due to the nature of the story not as much as I would like. BUT ITS OKAY AUDIENCE MEMBERS!!
Because the story line is wonderful and makes up for it.
BUT THEN THE ENDING GUYS!!!! OMG... It damn near gave me a heart attack. It was a little jarring because it ends like right in the middle of everything but holy moses I didn't see it coming. ARHG!!!!
A definite read recommendation!!

Loved this book as much as the first in the series. Huge cliffhanger!!! I hope the third book comes out soon. I love all the characters, there's still some mystery around all the characters that makes you want to know more about them, and maybe that will happen in the next book, but I'm enjoying playing around with it in my head until those mysteries are answered. This is a great book and I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves reading paranormal, especially about angels and demons. Happy reading!
I am so excited to have read "Ruthless" I had already fell in love with Sophia's Stafford's character's from "Ruined" I think the book was written brilliantly. I don't mind the cliffhanger, I know Sophia will continue the series and pull me right back into Lilliah & Azrael's world. I thank Sophia for gifting this book to me, as a friend. Not for a review, but I always love to give my opinion on a good book or series. You must read Ruined first or the story won't have as much meaning. I love how strong Lilliah became in this book. Her and Rebecca were both strong females in the book and even though Lilliah is the multi-reincarnated daughter of Michael, The Archangel in Heaven, she maintained a balance that was easy to relate with. Being a teenager, finding out so much about herself, her past, the love of her lives and the things she was capable of doing made me love her even more. She has a true pure heart and never let the fact of her being an angel overcome her true self, as a normal girl living in a totally abnormal world. I recommend this book to anyone that loves a variety of paranormal beings, mixed with action, love and a lot of wickedness, thanks to Lucifer, himself!
This is the second book in the Seraphim Series. This book is as good as the first book. I would recommend this one as much as I would recommend the first book. As with the first book it has a lot of ups and downs. Keeps you wondering what will happen next with each character, while adding new characters to the mix. It is fun seeing all characters end up tying to one another to some extent. This one will keep you on the end of your seat to see the out come as much as the first one did. The author did not disappoint with either of these book. They are both VERY good read. I will say though this one has a cliffhanger ending. The author has not said yet when the 3rd book will come out, just warning you. I will waiting as patiently as I can.
Omg I loved this book and I need the next one now. I need to know what's going to happen next. I hope book 3 is released soon I need it in my library asap.
I love all books that feature the archangels and this series is up there with my favourites such as Lauren Kate Fallen series, Becca Fitzpatrick Hush Hush, Rebecca Lim Mercy and Heather Killough-Walden's The Lost Angels.
Anyone who is a fan of stories about the Fallen will love this series hence why I've rated it 5 stars.
All I can and have to say is wow! I finished it this morning before work ( which because of this book I was two hours late for). But I bought both books and finished them in about two days, I couldnt stop reading! My love for Azreal is crazy, he's perfectly angsty and just a very well developed character. All the characters are likable, even Maliki. When is the next book coming out!?!! I can't stop thinking about this book. The love, hopelessness, anger, triumph is what makes this such a strong read. Very well done Sophia!
Love this series, the characters are well written and there are so many hold your breath moments, The friendships, love angles are perfect and plots are lovely. I hate reviews that give away the story, so if you love writers like Tara Brown or Amy Bartol, this author is one to keep up with
Oh my!!!!! This book was amazing the extreme ups and downs all the way through had me completely consumed with finishing the book to see what happens! !! I was not disappointed but the cliff hanger though.... I can't wait for the next book!!!!!!
Ok, so I love these kind of books, angels, vampires, love, all that kinda jazz. But this series of books, I just wasn't feeling it. At the very beginning, I knew it wasn't right. Everything was just so rushed, it didn't feel natural. One minute Azrael had spent hundreds of years following this girl,(Lilliah) stalking her, with the sole purpose of killing her, the next minute they meet and suddenly their in love!? There was no build up, no romance, no butterflies in the tummy. I didn't feel excited for them. There was a lot of strange moments, for example, in book 3, Lilliah's best friend, who she apparently loves so dearly, was possessed by a demon, so they had to perform an exorcism, yet whilst they were doing it, Lilliah had to stop herself from giggling?? Like, what? If my best friend was having an exorcism, I wouldn't be giggling, I'd be freaking crying! Another moment, (again in book 3) Azrael gives this big speach about how much she means to him and how he loves her, and how does the author have Lilliah reply?? Lilliah doesn't say anything, she just takes off her top and invites him to have a shower with her. Really. And there's no intimate moments!! Nothing more than quick hard kisses, and even they aren't enough to make your tummy flip. I personally just found the series annoying, it had potential to be really good, but unfortunately it wasn't. Usually when I get to the end of a series, I feel sad that it's over, but this time, I wasn't bothered. When I read a series, I want to fall in love with the characters, I want to feel every emotion and get lost in the story, but sadly I didn't feel anything with this series.
I couldn't put this book down and can't wait for the next book to come out. It definitely ended with a cliffhanger but I'm willing to wait as patiently as possible for the HEA ending.
Sophia Stafford has definitely written an amazing YA Paranormal Romance Series. With characters that are witty and funny, multiple possibilities for villains that may or may not turn out to be trustworthy and love that is worth dying for, this series is a must read.
This is the second book of The Seraphim Series. Lilliah Daniels is the daughter of Archangel Michael reincarnated over and over. When her soulmate turns evil she and her friends must decide if he can be saved. It would help if Lilliah could use her angelic powers but so far it mostly remains elusive....
This series is hard to describe. The subject of angels, witches, vampires, and werewolves has been done to death, but somehow this author manages to put a new spin on things. I liked the first book enough to read the second, and with the way this book ended, I will definitely be reading the third. The characters are strong, the setting (London) is a nice change of pace, and while the love story is certainly center stage, the rest of the plot is compelling all on its own. There are many mediocre angel novels out there; this one is better than average.
Let me just say that I am so glad the third book is already out and included in Kindle Unlimited. I don’t think I could last not knowing what happened while I waited to order the book. The author really knows how to get you wanting more. She left this book at a cliff hanger! I usually hate that in a book but in this case, it was fantastic. When I wasn’t reading, I was wishing I was. I loved all the details and the fact that like in the first, I felt like I was experiencing everything. AMAZING!!!
The story just pulls you in and its almost like you're there with them. I can't wait to read #3! I would certainly recommend the series to anyone who loves a good romance with action and a paranormal twist. You can feel what the lead characters feel, losing yourself in their story.
You can't trust anyone!!! This book is amazing!!! Everywhere you turn everyone is stabbing Lilliah in the back, and the suspense of this book with every page is incredible!!! Every time I say, just one more page. I end up reading more!!! I am looking forward to the next book...
Ok so this book was much better then the first one. I really didn’t think I’d even finish the first one let alone start the second one but it was the only series I had downloaded so I read it. Better plot, better written. Still didn’t grab my attention like I wanted it to. But here I am getting ready to start the 3rd book. I hope it’s better.
Incredible story and so exciting loved reading these books. you can get so invested in these courageous characters. Willing good to over come all, and for love to win in the end cant wait to start on book3
I chose five stars because the story was fast paced and I couldn't put it down, read it in one day! It still leaves you right there hanging in anticipation!
The second book did not disappoint. Things have changed for Lilliah but she won't let that stop her. She fights for love and I can't wait to read book 3.
Quick easy read with lots of action. With any young adult book I don't expect too much depth with the characters. Surprised by a few of the parts of the book.
Review originally published on Amazon July 25, 2016. This is a must-read series! The cliffhanger?! I'm dying to read more! The ending has me reeling! I'm still in shock.... Both books are amazing. The characters are wonderfully developed as is the world building. Sophia left nothing out. I never leave spoilers, so you have to read the series to find out. 5 stars!
