The name of the book has been changed from UNWRAP THIS! to SHRED
Shred: Billionaire Bad Boy Romance
Claire
I wasn't ever even supposed to know his name.
This shredded, filthy, playboy didn't just break the mold, he made it explode.
It was supposed to be a one night rebound from my ex. So what was I to think when a limo pulls up to take me to the world's most exclusive holiday party? Maynard doesn't know the meaning of the word generosity. With a sex-crazed Billionaire there's always a catch.
I have to go as his fiance.
Engaged to New York's richest playboy for a night? Sure, no problem! On one condition: No Sex!
That's easier said than done, when his hard blue eyes make me shiver, and his flaming tongue makes my blood boil.
What the hell have I gotten myself into?
Maynard
I only have three rules.
Never kiss on the mouth. Never spend the night. And NEVER...
Well a playboy never tells.
*Author's note: This book comes with a free copy of Riding for Her! Happy Holidays!
Adair Rymer lives in New England and loves whiskey and her cat. She is always daydreaming of lovers and how to push the her own literary boundaries. She loves her motorcycle and her men filthy and is keen on a hot cup of Coca Tea.
And above all else, she loves the people who buy her books, who encourage her to continue living her passion.
I'm not sure I get this... a very short novella tied to a full length romance, but the novella comes first and is the focus? It's the second story I've read like it. Is this going to be the new trend?
As for the story, it was good. If it weren't for the numerous typos and the grammatical errors, it would have been way better. It did damper the whole experience.
In fact, the story was just a tease. It was a small piece carved out of a larger one, like being dropped into a much longer novel. It wasn't that I couldn't figure out what was happening; it's just that the story felt incomplete.
I'm not sure the point. I think I'm missing something. I'd like more, but only if more care is given to the writing and editing.
This was a short little sexy holiday novella by an author who usually writes hard hitting biker and taboo romances and although it was not near long enough, it packed a solid punch and had a lot going on. A rich playboy who never gets attached to his hook-ups (he never kisses them on the mouth) and who usually goes for the statuesque model types, meets a woman on the rebound and goes home with her for a (supposed to be) one night stand. A proposition, a passionate spark, a bitter EX and you have the recipe for a fun and sexy and also a bit sentimental family drama which seems to me could be continued in another book down the road as we are left with an HFN ending. A steamy and cleverly written short for the holidays. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
**** 4 **** "a family wage war and unexpected romance ensues" stars
Maynard, what can be said about him? He put on a show appearing to be happy and a playboy that only cares about himself. That is until he goes to a bar he would never frequent for a random hook-up and meets Claire. She is not his usual type, which is a princess or someone who could be royalty with their bank accounts. Claire is a college student who is struggling to make ends meet. She brings him home as a rebound one-night stand, but Maynard has different plans for her. He needs a fake fiance to keep his hotel, but then things fall apart and he loses the hotel, but Claire stays by his side in the end. Maynards sister is ruthless, and goes to every stretch to throw Maynard off his game, and hurts Claire at the same time which is almost the end of Claire and Maynard, but Claire sees through Maynard to the nice sweet man he truly is.
Billionaire bad boy, man whose Maynard, is carrying an unbelievably heavy guilt deep inside, which makes him who & how he is. Enter Claire, a "should be" one night stand, who (might just) turn his world around. Take their hot & steamy journey with them to find out if there is redemption and true love in Maynard's future. Thank you Adair Rymer, for another great book.
This was a very fast read. Maynard was very odd, I couldn't connect with him. Then you have Claire, she just had a one night stand with someone she doesn't know and then just goes along with what he wants when he sends for her. I didn't feel the connection with this couple. It was well written, it just wasn't a story I could get into.
Iʻm a little irritated. When I downloaded this book it said 600 some odd pages. I was excited. I did notice that there was another book in addition to this one so I figured itʻd be at least half of the mentioned 600 pages. Nope. Ugh. I really dislike the shorter stories because thereʻs no real build up, or character development or much of a story line for that matter. So irksome.
Short holiday read about a playboy and a girl he hooks up with. She isnt like the girls he normally goes for and she is dealing with the hurt from her exboyfriend. Something develops between them..Read to find out what happens next.
I really enjoyed this book. It could have been longer and went on into their lives after the party. It was funny and sad both in parts. You'll love Maynard and Claire but you'll hate Bianca and Chance. Worth the download.
Not the best, but def not the worst. Found some typos, but enjoyed the storyline and main characters. I would def try reading another one of her books.
Not what I was expecting at all. Calling it a short story would be too long. So sad too, because this had a lot of elements that could have made it a great stand alone novel.
For a short story, I thought this was enjoyable to read. Maynard is a billionaire playboy. Enjoy as he meets Claire...something about her intrigues him....can it tame him?
