The power of the Force meets the joy of origami. The book has everything you need to create a galaxy of Star Wars characters, ships, droids, and weapons. The ingenious models are created by Chris Alexander and comes with complete step-by-step directions as well as an introduction to origami, definitions, symbols, and basic folds. This book has 259 pages plus 72 pages of specially designed Full-Color Star Wars origami paper. There are 36 amazing paper folding projects that include the Imperial Shuttle, Millennium Falcon, Star Destroyer, Jedi Starfighter, and many more. The level of difficulty of these origami projects range from the easy ones to the Jedi Knight (Difficult) and Jedi Master (Very Tricky). This First Edition hard-to-find book would be a nice keepsake for years to come for Star Wars fans.
This was interesting to read through, learning about the different ways to do Origami, reading the different bios and other info about the characters and various crafts in the SW universe. Also enjoyed reading all the trivia questions and answering them.
Oh, paper, how fervently and faithfully The Eight-Year-Old has loved you over the years. I still remember receiving little Ziploc baggies full of carefully snipped bits of computer paper from The (then) Four-Year-Old’s preschool teacher, and how fiercely The (then) Four-Year-Old defended her right to keep those little bits forever.
Thankfully, The Eight-Year-Old’s passion for snipping up paper has evolved into a passion for folding up paper. The Eight-Year-Old was extremely excited to find a copy of Star Wars Origami this week. She’s been folding Yodas and Darth Vaders all week, and scattering them around the house in hopes of enticing Daddyo to play another round of Star Wars Battlefront.
Personally, I’m hoping she figures out the Millenium Falcon in time for Father’s Day. Wouldn’t that be awesome? (Shhh! Don’t tell Daddyo!)
