I’m standing here in complete darkness. Static fills my ears and all I hear is the muffled sound of the chanting and screaming of the crowd. I can hear my own heart beating in my ears. I don’t know whether to laugh, yell, cry, scream, or even puke. I’m completely frozen. Everything plays out around me and I know it’s time. The panic inside me slowly fades away and adrenaline starts pumping heated blood through my veins.

Instead of feeling weak, I begin to feel strong. Looking over my shoulder, I notice him.

Tristan.

He’s watching me intently. Tristan is the misery I crave. He’s probably waiting for me to fuck up. Yes, I’m nervous as hell, but I won’t let him see it, or feed off of it. No . . . this time I will starve him, and show everyone here what I can do.

The shadow of my smile releases the last of the fear. I glance back at him one more time. He’s still standing there, like a statue. Stepping to edge, I know now what can break him. Tonight, I’ll risk everything …

★✩★✩★ 5+++ Hottest. Angry-Sex. Eva!! -Stars
~this review may contain minor spoilers~

That feeling you only get when you're onstage. The excitement you feel coming off the audience and the thrill of performing. This is why we started this band. This is why we're here.

After eight years of hard work, Sophia and her band 'Dollar Settlement' just got signed by a major record label AND to promote the release of their first album, they are going on tour with one of the biggest bands around ~ Undead Society. It doesn't hurt that she has always been insanely attracted to their lead singer, Tristan Scott; but her rose colored glasses are about to be ripped off in a big way. Turns out, Tristan is a bit of an ass, he treats her like absolute garbage and goes out of his way to make her life a living hell, but she refuses to let him ruin this for her ~ the rush she gets on stage is like no other and she wouldn't give it up for anything. But being stuck on the road with the douche proves to be a bit of a problem, especially when she realizes that no matter how big a dick he is, she still finds him sexy-as-hell; her reactions to him confuse her as much as they piss her off and it doesn't help that he seems to develop a Jekyll & Hyde personality towards her the more time they are around each other. The road to stardom is proving to be a tougher journey than she ever could have expected, and it turns her world upside down in more ways than one; can she handle the pressure while fighting against her growing attraction to the bane of her existence? And more importantly, is the cost of fame worth it when it rips someone close to her from her life forever?

Tristan being this close to me makes me feel weak and craving his touch on every inch of my body. Okay, Tristan is an arrogant piece of shit. Why am I even letting this guy give me this kind of reaction?

I cannot even begin to tell you how friggin much I LOVED THIS BOOK!! This is exactly how I love my romances; hard, dirty, rough, and loaded with angst, drama, tears, screaming and amazing characters. I was completely sucked into the story right from the beginning and held there til I was spit out the other end a sobbing, drooling, hott mess. It. Was. Perfect. There wasn't a character in here that I didn't fall in love with, but that's not to say that I was always smitten with them all the time. Tristan and Sophia took turns pissing me off. While dude most certainly had his asshat moments, buy the end it was Sophia (little miss queen of DeNile) who drove me batshit crazy with her solid foundation of stubbornness. This girl clung to her hasty decisions like Velcro, even when she realized she was being scared stupid. She really did drive me nuts. I mean, I got where she was coming from, kinda, but I still caught myself yelling at my poor kindle like she would actually hear me. None of that changes the fact that the chemistry between these two was off-the-charts insanely hott. Seriously, this book had THE BEST angry sex scenes I have read in a long time. So damn hott. Just thinking about it now even has me in a lust-induced haze....
Moving on. Just be prepared for a whole lot of frustration as these two fight against whatever they are feeling; they are both confused and scared shitless, but neither can deny the pull they have to the other. And just when you think you've had all the tension your heart can stand, this sadistic little author throws a twist at you that will bring you to your knees. I admit it, I ugly cried. I should have seen it coming, I really should have, but I was distracted by all things Tristan. I think my sole complaint would be the fact that the story is told completely from Sophia's POV; I cannot tell you how much I would have liked to get in Tristan's head just to see what the hell he is thinking. Even still, with so many characters to love, from the band members to Lux and Frankie, it was easy to get lost in the fabulous world Ms. Natalie created for us. Not only has she landed herself solidly on my One-Click-Addiction List, but this book has joined my short list of books that I could reread over and over and over again without ever getting tired of the story. Now I am left with only one question... WHEN THE HELL DOES THE NEXT BOOK COME OUT?!

“No one touches you. Anyone were to ever lay a hand on you again, to be hurtful or sexual, I'll kill 'em.”
“What do you mean 'sexual'?”
“You know exactly what I mean, Sophia. You're mine and no one lays a finger on you.”
“How can I be yours?”

Review by Lisa Kane

Sophia Mancini is the lead singer for Dollar Settlement. Her band is on the edge of stardom. They've been picked up by a label and Lux is the guy from the record company managing their first tour. They will be opening up for Undead Society, one of the biggest bands out there. Their lead singer is Tristan Scott and he's a real piece of work. From their first encounter he gives Sophia a hard time. It's unclear if he wants her or for some reason despises her. Sophia is hot and gorgeous and very talented. Each show they play her band gets better and more well known. And the sparks between Tristan and her continue to fly.

The guys in her band have her back but there is trouble from within. Matt and Roger are the usual manwhores who drink too much, but they are harmless. Cory is the one who has demons that are winning. His substance abuse is leading him to ramp up his tolerance for drugs and he is playing a dangerous game. Their dreams are within reach but at what price?

Sophia parties hard after each show and things between her and Tristan heat up. Lines are crossed, temptation calls and they are helpless to resist. This 8 week tour is proving to be interesting! Throw in a gay, fantastic wardrobe stylist, Frankie, who has Sophia's interest at heart and transform her into a temptress night after night. How can Tristan resist? But what happens after the tour is over?

Everything I Want has drama and angst and plenty of steam! A couple of things bothered me about this one though, For one, Sophia drinks way too much, makes stupid mistakes over and over. The continual unprotected sex bothered me to distraction. Tristan mentions that he has only had sex without a condom with one other person in his life. But never expands on that, or says who it was with or when it happened. Sophia becomes close to Frankie, he is the person she trusts with her secrets and worries, but when there is a tragedy at the end of the story, he's no where to be found. Tristan is a strong alpha but the way he talks to Sophia during sex is a huge turn off,

He leans down and whispers on my lips. "Don't!" Then he kisses me briefly before softly growling at me again. "I didn't say you could do that." Huh? Okay my spinning head is a little confused right now.

"What the he-He crashes his entire body onto mine, stopping me dead in my tracks. He rips away from me, with a carnal look in his eyes he growls, "Shut up! Just shut the f#*k up."

This seems to turn Sophia on, more so than thinking he's acting like an arrogant douche. But she is an edgy chick so I can see what I might prefer would bore her to tears. Tristan would be hard to say No to and why would you want to anyway?

Things really spiral out of control at the end and Everything I Want ends on a cliffy. Everything I Need releases shortly and I would love to see how things play out with Tristan and Sophia.

** DEBBIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW **

I loved this book!!! I started this and instantly I fell head over heels in love with this one.

Who doesn’t love a Rock God? Tristan Scott lead singer of the Undead Society is just that. Not only is he a hot Rock Star but, he is intense and dominating and he has a super sweet side that is going to have you swooning. A few times I wanted to smack him upside his head but the majority of the book I loved everything about him.

“You know exactly what I mean, Sophia. You’re mine and no one lays a finger on you.”

“Sophia, I’ve been with many woman before. And no one. And I mean no one! Has ever made me feel remotely the way you have these last few weeks. S*** Sophia. Since I first laid eyes on you.”

Sophie is lead singer of Dollar Settlement. I loved that she held her own and didn’t take crap from anyone. I have to admit a few times I wanted to shake the crap out of her and scream for her to wake up and get her head out of her ass!!! I loved all the members of her band and loved how they added a fantastic layer to the story. The plot was believable and the book is filled with tons of angst. I caught myself gripping my kindle tightly a few times because I had no clue what was going to happen next.

“I want to taste him and slap him all in the same moment.”

There is tons of sexual tension in this one and I loved that the author took time for character growth. I was emotional invested in this book and felt like I personally knew all of them. The chemistry between Sophie and Tristan was fantastic and I loved that they knew how to push each other’s buttons.

“Tristan is an absolute a**hole, and I want nothing more than to kick his a** on the charts and on tour.”

Readers be WARNED……. This story has some extremely hot parts and some parts that are going to ROYALLY PISS YOU OFF!!!!!

The book just flowed beautifully and I loved everything about this story. It was full of ups and downs and their was a plot twist that had me ugly crying. It was so refreshing to read a book about a rock star that has a strong heroine in it. I love that Sophie stuck to her guns. The plot was refreshingly original.

The book ends in a Cliffhanger and I will defiantly be stalking the author’s page for the second book because I need to know what happens!!

I love books about rock stars and musicians in general. In reality, I don't have a favorite band, let alone a favorite "type" of music, and will listen to whatever strikes my mood. I think I love reading about the glamour as well as the harsh realities musicians face in their quests to "make it." Everything I Want is about making it, as well as about the relationship a group/band has with each other, and about the undeniable attraction Tristan and Sophia have with each other.

Before I gush about what I loved about this book, let me talk about what I didn't like. The sparks from Tristan's and Sophia's interactions were enough to start a fire. I enjoyed seeing their interactions while trying to figure out what was wrong with Tristan. He was so hot and cold with Sophia. Then when things finally came to ahead and they finally did something about how they felt about each other, I REALLY did not like how Tristan handled things. It almost seemed like rape and I was hung up on that part for a while, but Sophia was enjoying herself, so I did let it go.

I really enjoyed seeing the camaraderie between the Dollar Settlement members. I really wish Sophia and the other guys had done something about one of their members who had fell into some bad habits. Ignoring a problem never makes it go away. The story got really emotional as it took turns I wasn't expecting. I was reading and silently crying.

The book ended on something of a cliffhanger. There will be a sequel for which I'm glad. I would like to see things between Sophia and Tristan settled and I hope they can do it without hurting each other any more. This story was one I couldn't put down and one that gave me lots of feels. I'm very impressed with Natalie Barnes's debut novel.

So this book has so much going on in it. Sophia and her band, Dollar Settlement, are on the verge of stardom. They finally get their dream to come true and join a tour with the guys from Undead Society. Sophia and the guys are thrown into photo shoots and studio time. They are constantly busy. When Sophia meets Tristan, he is complete dick to her. He just keeps getting worse and worse with her, even dedicating their song”Harlot” to her. But don’t worry she gets him back with a little song called ”Whore”. She can’t take anymore and confronts him. It ends in a explosive night she never forgets. They keep hanging out and having sex until her fears take over and she ends it. Tristan doesn't take it well at all. He is determined to get her back. She wants no part in it. She, along with the band members have more problems to deal with. Cory, her guitarist, has major issues that he can’t shake. She is trying to help him but it just gets to be to much for him. This book brought out a lot of emotions especially for a rocker book. I spent the last minutes of the book just crying, like ugly tears. I can’t wait to start the next one to see what happens with Sophia and Tristan along with the other guys in the bands. I got sucked into this story from the first page and loved reading it!

I was super excited to get my hands on this book! First of all the cover is GEORGOUS! I loved the simplicity of it; it made it sexy and understated at the same time! I was shocked when I found out this was Natalie’s debut book! It was fantastic! I loved Sophia and Tristan! Natalie perfected the hot angry sex scene for me and I loved every second of reading those! Sophia and Tristan didn’t have the most conventional relationship and things didn’t go how either of them wanted, but that’s life and when they each make choices things get a little rocky! I can’t wait to get the second book in this series, Everything I need!
There were only a few things I wished were different in this book, first and foremost was the lack of background on Sophia and her band mates, and even Tristan and his band. We know where they are from, but that’s it! I wanted to know more about their lives beforehand and their families! The second thing I wish would have changed a little was more of Tristan’s POV! I wanted to know what he was thinking throughout the book!
Bottom line…ONE-CLICK THIS BOOK!!! DO IT!!!!

I don't think I can really review this properly yet, since you know, I just cried my fucking eyes out. I mean...oh my gawd, what a fucking ride. I can't handle this right now, with PMS and shit going on!

Because of that, I will have to get back to you on this one, 'cause I sure as shit need to gather my toughts. I can say right away tough, that this is one of the best romances I've read.

I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this little gem, after a week of really shitty books (yes, I'm a really, really fast reader).

Now I'm off to the next book in the series. Just have to rehydrate first, since I've cried my body DRY with this one. Oh, the things we do for the books we love..

This is the first book in an amazing series. Sophie is living the American dream. Lead singer of the band Dollar Settlement getting their big break. The new opening act for Undead Society. The minute her path crosses Tristan, she there was going to be trouble. He is arrogant, cocky, and major douche waffle to Sophie.

Can she survive touring with him. There is heat and passion between the two of them. They have twists and turns to overcome. will they survive.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!!!
goodness gracious it was spectacular, no joke. Sophia was a very strong protagonist and i loved that about her. If something happened she wouldn't back down crying or turn away. She would fight head-on. And i admired her so much for that. The angst, love, dresses, and songs were off the hook amazing. I think that's one of the things that makes this book unique. It describes things in full details and makes you excited all at once. Almost like you're the protagonist and trying all these dresses and singing spectacular. Tristan is pretty awesome as well, though i didn't really have this strong connection with him at the middle of the book because of how he treated Sophia through out. I mean i was fine with him being a jerk and treating her bad like a usual bad boy making him even more irresistible . But, sometimes he took it a bit too far and his possessiveness all of a sudden kind of freaked me out. I mean it felt like all he wanted from her was her body and not her mind and heart. But, once the book started progressing more i started warming up to him and enjoying them together. But aside from that, oh my goodness this book kept me on my toes and never got me bored i love when an author creates really great secondary characters. So, it doesn't become a dark book with no life in it but, the main characters. And this book definitely had it! Sophia's band was awesome i loved how they would protect Sophia from anything almost like they were her big brothers and their funny banter was laughable. Corey(one of the characters of the band) made me this close to crying he's such a lovable character and i felt like breaking something when i read what happened. We didn't really get close to Tristan's band but, in the next one we will. Which makes me say that before i read "Everything i want" i thought it was just one whole book but, then after i finished it i realized there is a second one and i am in NEED of it!! No seriously i don't think i will be able to wait for the next one even if it's a couple of days. Did you see the rating it has?? I possibly can't wait laugh out loud. ;)

Oh God!!! Just why did i read this. The two main characters were just vile. Theres an alpha male who is domineering and then there is Tristan who is just vile. I mean the first time him and Sophia have sex is basically rape, she repeatedly says no but he does it anyway - so deep down she wanted it and in the end she does enjoy it, that doesn't change the fact that she said no! Then there is the constantly calling her Bitch - this is not a term of endearment, it isn't cute its horrible!
And Sophia is just such a nasty character, she is like a child. She acts like she is super independent and doesn't need anyone, then is constantly get me this get me that.
The Cory storyline was so poorly done as well - throughout the entire book Sophia can see that he is getting in too deep but she never once does anything at all right up until the night she sees him doing heroin, she watches him do it and still just says don't do it again and goes home because her head is so far up her own arse!!

P.S If anyone can tell me what the hell this line means i will give high fives all round, is this even english - "My face is I say more as plain and emotionless as he once showed me before" i swear this is an actual line from this book

Review of Everything I Want by Natalie Barnes

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 out of 5 stars

Sophia Mancini is a kickass rocker chick. Her band has just signed a record deal and they are the opening act for Undead Society’s tour.

Nervous is an understatement as to how Sophia feels when she meets Undead Society’s lead singer Tristan. He is beyond sexy. Too bad he is an arrogant jerk.

Sparks fly and tensions heat up as they are around each other. Tristan breaks down her walls and their sex is off the charts.

Tristan, who is usually a man whore, has found his reason to change. He wants more with Sophia.

Unfortunately, Sophia’s life is changing and moving ahead. She is scared to get her heart broken and can’t see her and Tristan being able to make their long distance relationship work.

I liked that Sophia was strong willed and didn’t take Tristan’s crap. She new what she wanted and worked really hard.

I did feel bad for Tristan though. I really believed that he loved Sophia and was willing to make their relationship work.

This was a true rocker book! I definitely recommend it to fans that love bad boy rockers and badass rocker chicks!

WOW... this book was a hot rocker book that I would rate a 4 stars! It does have a big time Alpha male in this story named Tristan! He will make you want someone to talk dirty to you believe me.. and Sophia takes it like a rock star should. When they first meet its an annoyance but quickly turns into a burning desire that neither know how to quench.. when they finally give into the building inferno it will be explosive but how will it ever work they are both rock stars and the life on the road will lead them different ways so Sophia will become reluctant on starting anything more than just a sexual relationship. When she relays this to Tristan he instantly becomes irate and storms away.. with a couple hours passing Sophia will realize she made a mistake and wants to give it a try.. but what she finds when she goes back for him will scar her and she will feel like her heart has been torn from her chest.. what will they do for the rest of there tour? Can Tristan make things right or has the damage been done to deep?
Go get this book and yes Divas it ends in a bit of a cliffy.. so look out for Book 2 Everything I Need!

***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review - Sanne / Scandalous Book Blog***

This was a very pleasant surprise I stumbled upon. Eventhough I told I was NOT going to take on anymore arc's there was something in this particular book that caught my eye. And boy am I glad that my gut feeling was right!

The author has gives us a rockstar romance with a twist... Oh and I absolutely loved the fact that we had a kickass heroine!

The bantering between our two leads was of the charts and like it's said in the book you could cut the sexual tension with a knife... But when it finally happens, sweet baby Jesus! *Fans herself*

Oh Tristan, my sweet sweet hunk of a man! Such a ... yet so scorshing hot... He certainly had his FSOG moments going.

Our leading lady was kickass and so vulnrable at the same time.. And hahahaa one particular scene ;) : https://play.spotify.com/track/7LygtN... (Just listen to it and the music will speak for itself!)

And that ending so heartbreaking... BUT then again we do get a sequel in a few short months! So stay tuned folks...

HOLY HOT!!!

Sophia is the lead singer for her band and they are finally making it big time! They get called to California to record an album and be an opening act on tour. As they are touring where the studio is she catches Tristan's band recording. She drinks him all in and then chastises herself saying there isn't time for any of that and gets down to business.

On tour Tristan acts like a total jerk, but he runs from hot to cold, giving Sophia whiplash. Later you will discover it's because Tristan is trying to keep his distance but can't deny it anymore.

He is dominating and total alpha male. He takes Sophia. She wants whatever they are doing but doesn't want it defined at the same time becuase she is scared. When the question comes up she ends it before it can begin. This leads to Tristan's biggest mistake.

The push and pull of these two had me turning the pages faster and faster. The end broke me, and ended on a cliffy.

What happens to Sophia and her band? What happend to Tristan and Sophia?

This was an amazing story about 2 rock stars. The author did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. There were multiple characters in this book and each had a very specific personality and I fell in love with all of them.

The description of the songs and concerts made me want to actually hear the music. It was fun to read about the behind the stage workings of photo-shoots and concert prep.

There was a love-hate relationship between the two lead singers from the two bands. The angst created by the author worked so well with the story. She did not take the easy way out in developing their relationship and it made the storyline incredible.

This story had me gritting my teeth in frustration as the Sophia, the lead character, was telling her point of view. There were times I wanted to shake Tristan to have him stop playing games. This book also had me in tears. I was heartbroken at one point along with the rest of the characters.

I highly recommend this book!

I haven't read a good rocker romance for a while and this book just had it all.

You get your male rocker Tristian hot, sexy and an arrogant arse, but Natalie also throws in a female rocker Sophia, Sexy young girl who can hold her own.

This book has everything laughs, sexiness, characters that you can't help but love each and everyone. It also breaks your heart (i actually cried at one part) you will want to shout at the two main characters sometimes though in fact I actually wanted to bang their heads together.

The story is well balanced and has some twists and turns in it.

All in all a really enjoyable book now I just need to read the next one

Finding love, Heartbreak, Loss and Living the Dream all happening at once…That’s Sophia’s life.

Sophia and her band Dollar Settlement are finding getting their big break, after all their hard work. Since Lux seen their performance, they were invited to fly out to the record studio to talk about their band. After meeting with Lux from the record label, they were signed to a 5 album deal. It was the greatest moments of their lives, with her band Matt, Roger and Cory. They were like family, since they started their band in college they have been inseparable.

The day they were signed was also the day they met their favorite band Undead Society. It was also the day Sophia met the cocky and jerky guy Tristan. The day they met was the day Sophia couldn’t take her eyes off him, she learned she had to look away quick after finding what kind of a jerk-off Tristan was. Sophia’s attraction was strong and electrifying, but she couldn’t figure out exactly what Tristan was thinking. All she knows is that he is the biggest jerk she ever laid her eyes on.

Being the new opening act to Undead Society meant Sophia’s band had to spend a lot of time with them, which means more time she has to spend with the jerk-off Tristan. When the tour started, they celebrated by going out and drinking almost every night and at times they got high. Except for their sweet friend and guitar player Cory, he did so much more than smoking or drinking. He was doing hard core drugs, he was snorting cocaine and shooting up heroine. They were all worried about him, but did their best to let him figure everything out himself. They find out later that, not taking care of Cory more was the biggest mistake they all ever made, they should have sent him to Rehab.

While the Tour was going on, Tristan was coming on Sophia little by little. At the same time, he did it in the jerkiest way. The night they finally got together, started on the elevator and ended in Tristan’s room. He was a jerk off as always, calling her a bitch while they go at it. I never understood how Sophia let him treat her and talk to her that way. I guess being drunk off her a** made everything ok. This kind of thing went on and on with them. No matter how much Sophia tried to keep away from Tristan it wasn’t happening. He always finds her and they get it on again. Little by little Tristan started turning into a regular guy, calling Sophia names started to go away and real feelings started coming out. The night Tristan finally confessed how much he cared for Sophia, is the same night Sophia thought it was the best for them to keep what they have on a friend zone. Tristan wasn’t happy at all, which lead him to drink and brought the first bimbo back into his room. That same time he was screwing the bimbo, Sophia walked in hoping to let him know she was wrong and she wants to give what they have a try. Tristan realized what he was doing and ran after Sophia.

Will Sophie forgive Tristan for his stupid mistake and give them a try?
Or did Tristan hurt Sophie past the unforgivable zone?

I didn’t realized that this book is the first book of the series, until I was on the last page. So of course that means, it ended with a cliffhanger. One very open to what could happen next in Sophia and Tristan’s love story.

The whole time I was reading this book, I was unsure how I felt about it. I was crossing my fingers the whole time hoping Tristan will show a real good side of him to win me over, but by the time I was done reading I still felt the same way. I hope that in book 2 Tristan totally redeems himself and make me fall for him. Until then, I’ll be waiting.
