Volume two to the epic Banished Lands saga. Join Durian and Pallin as they make the long trek to reach the Banished Lands, while Sheabor and the others unveil a startling plan for the survival of the Eastern Realm. But mysterious forces working in the shadows threaten to unravel everything they've accomplished.
Roamer of woodlands and seasides. Crafter of worlds and happy endings. Gemologist by trade. Best job in the world!
Some view reading as an escape. I view it more as a longing to find your best life...to be wrapped up in epic circumstances and dream about a life greater than the drudgery of day to day living. These are the people I hope read my books!!
For all those readers out there who haven't yet fallen in love with poetry, I'm doing a video walk through of some of my favorite poems. Check out the first couple down below. I promise you'll get something out of it.
In this book, the group of protagonists have split up for the most part. Each of them has other folks to support them, but this is a book where their characters grow and expand. Two of them find the loves of their lives, and those relationships begin to grow. Actually, the relationships have a bit more life than the women. But everyone begins to grow as the hardships and the battles force them to do.
Even though most people like book three the best, book two is actually my favorite of the series thus far. I love how the beginning poem impacts different characters powerfully in vastly different ways. The development of Baron and Blair was also a really fun addition to the series. In addition, there wasn't a lot of development of the primary villain in book one due to the secondary villain having a greater share of the limelight. Book two describes the nature of the conflict in greater detail and what's really being fought over. All the character's roles solidify in book two and are a great foundation for book three.
A very good continuation of the series. This is not what I usually read...quests and fighting for the world against an ancient evil. But something in book 1 caught my interest so much that I immediately downloaded books 2 & 3. And I'm waiting patiently for book 4!
