USA Today bestselling author Kate Angell lives in Naples, Florida. She’s an animal lover, avid reader, and sports fan. Bookstores are her second home. She takes coffee breaks at Starbucks. Her philosophy: Out of chaos comes calmness. Enjoy the peace.
DNF. Literally the first 3 pages were enough to make me throw the book across the room. The misogyny is CLOYING. These guys are hired to work for this woman, and they can't stand her "bossing them around", I mean God forbid a WOMAN DO HER JOB AND BE A BOSS. Here's a gem: "They didn't like being bossed around by a woman, not even an attractive one."
It gets better with this one: "He could think of better uses for her mouth than ordering him around."
This is an anthology of three unrelated stories that all take place in Moonbright, Maine during Halloween. The first story takes place before the Halloween party at Rose Cottage. The second is set during the party, and the third takes place the day after the Halloween party.
2 Stars -- Charmed By You by Kate Angell
Both characters didn't make a first great impression. Grace came across kind of uptight and bitchy, but there is a scene with her and some kids at the costume store that made me fall in love with her. Cade, well he came across as a lazy judgmental narcissist asshole. He was hired to help Grace and all he did was whine and act like a jerk every time he was asked to do ANYTHING.
Unfortunately because of the way his character acts from the get go I wanted him to go find a hole to fall into. Not to mention the reason he hated Halloween was so lame. He got caught toilet papering Rose Cottage when he was 17 and had to do community service. So now he HATES Halloween??
The ending was very abrupt also. I wouldn't even call it a HFN scenario
4 Stars -- Mesmerized by You by Jennifer Dawson.
This one was a super sweet and magical friends to lovers story. Jack and Chloe were both likable characters and it was sweet watching them figure out their love for each other. This one also had a better "happy for now" ending.
"Here.” She was already unbuttoning his jeans. He pulled her questing fingers away. “Are you kidding? There are probably ticks all over the place. I can’t have you ending up with Lyme disease.” See, this was why they were so perfect for each other. She huffed, planting her hands on her hips. “Lyme disease? Really? I offer you my body, and you’re thinking about ticks? He shrugged. “I’m a doctor. Best-case scenario you’re out of commission for months. I don’t like those odds. I’ve managed to last thirty years, I can make it back to the room.!
5 Stars -- Enchanted by You by Sharla Lovelace
This was my favorite story of the the three we get. A second chance romance with a nice bit of angst and a sweet little happy for now ending.
Sydney and Sawyer fell in love as teenagers, but insecurities and outside influences place doubt in Sawyer's mind and he leaves Sydney behind with a broken heart. Can these two find magic again in Moonbright?
"Sawyer pulled her to him with a smile he didn’t feel, everything inside him screaming not to let this end this way. Not to let her go."
Halloween in July. Why not? I picked up this anthology from Netgalley because I loved the cover and I was trying these three new-to-me authors a try; like a sample if I want to pick up their full-length available novels. The three stories are intertwined in terms of location: Rose Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine, where legend says that people can find true love when they stay the night.
Charmed by You (Kate Angell): 3 stars
I was trying to figure out where the story was going, and it took me a while to warm up to Grace, the heroine. In fact, I wasn't really sure about her even until the very end. She was a little bit too perfectionist, too pushy, too bossy for my taste. I am a more laid-back kind of girl, and people like that (not just women) make me exhausted *lol*. BUT, I admit that I saw Grace in a different light when she was with those kids. She was wonderful there, kind-hearted and generous. She wanted the best for the party and well, hats off for her. As for Cade, I wasn't really convinced with his (slightly) sudden change of heart but they did establish a good connection during the decoration. The cat was awesome, by the way.
Mesmerized by You (Jennifer Dawson) 3.75 stars
While I might be a little unsure with the sense of magic that finally brought Jake and Chloe together, but I thought the story was sweet!! I always love friends-to-lovers trope and this one just made my heart happy and brought HUGE smile to my face when I finished it. Jake and Chloe are quite likeable as characters and it was clear that they belong with one another. When both finally realized that all this time, they might as well already be a couple (but without the sex *lol*) it was adorable.
Enchanted by You (Sharla Lovelace) 4.5 stars
My favorite of the bunch. My heart just exploded with all the feels. And I cried. On the wee hours of the morning when I read this novella. YES, DARN, I cried because it was just beautifully written, using my favorite romance trope ever: second chances. The bulk of this story happened within few days, when Sidney Jensen came to Moonbright to settle a case, and ended up finding out that her old first love, Sawyer Finn, was also there. Despite that, the tension between them was so palpable (AND DELICIOUS).
Twelve years ago, Sawyer broke Sidney's heart. I think both were never the same, like something was missing. My GOSH I loved these two so much. The angst was done right. The confession and the reconnecting part were also well-written. And the happiness WELL-DESERVED. You know the part where you read romance, and you can feel that the couple is so perfect for one another because after the obstacles they face, you can imagine them living HEA off screen? Yes, that was Sidney and Sawyer for me.
Seriously, if this novella is released separately in the future, I will run and buy it immediately. Now I want to read what other stories Sharla Lovelace have written!
The ARC is provided by the publisher via Netgalley for an exchange of fair and honest review. No high rating is required for any ARC received.
This was such a great anthology to get an early start on Halloween. Even better is that these were all new to me authors.
All three stories take place in the small cozy town of Moonbright, Maine, and revolves around an annual Halloween Party at the Rose Cottage Inn. The Rose Cottage in Moonbright is owned and run by Amelia, who plays the role of an older wise women in each of the stories.
The second novella is Mesmerized By You by Jennifer Dawson. This story was my favorite. And I recommend picking up this anthology for this story alone. This is a best friends to lovers story of Chole and Jack. There is a powerful tarot reading, a full moon. And Chole and Jack who all of a sudden realize they are sooo into each other.
The third and last novella is Enchanted By You by Sharla Lovelace. This is a lovely second chance romance about Sidney and Sawyer. It was entertaining and had heat and was fun.
The first novella is entitled Charmed By You by Kate Angell. I couldn’t finish this one. It was soooo slow. And I didn’t feel the magic between the characters at all. They both felt flat and boring. The first three chapters were filled with (non-erotic) details of putting up decorations and frankly, I was bored.
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
A cute collection of stories that centers around a cozy and possibly magical bed and breakfast cottage. The perfect setting for the fall season with a charming innkeeper who is hosting a Halloween event, and those who stay there may end up finding all they are looking for and much more. Peaceful small-town setting and people create a feeling of home where all is welcome. Sweet and holiday inspiring!
DNF… I’m sorry, the first few pages he thinks she’s a bitch and then not even 24 hours later (chapter 5ish) she is his whole world?! What?? I wanted a cozy fall read but I also want it to be decent writing.
This was fun. It's a bit of a magical realism trilogy of shorter stories (though you could debate the magical part). All of them take place at (or around) the big Halloween party at the B&B in this small town.
The first is a bit of a case of instant-attraction between two opposites, but it mostly works. I was entertained. The second is pretty much a collision of tropes, specifically long-time best friends to lovers, there's only one room left at the inn and it only has one bed, and magical sex-drug (though in this case it's essentially someone gifting them with "awareness"). It's fun, but it took them both two long to figure it out. Essentially, there was too much not giving into the attraction for the friendship. They basically jumped away from each other too many times, and it got a bit tiresome. The third is two high school friends who pined for each other, and then broke each other's hearts (and their own), meet up after ten years. A bit quick in the present-day, but fun. Does have more than a little, "small towns are lovely and charming, beware the big bad city and the things that the rat race can make you become." I mean, it works for the characters, but it is not subtle.
Mostly I read it for: 2017 reading challenge: A book set around a holiday other than Christmas
Oh my gosh… I didn’t know what this book was about, just that it was fallish and had a cute cover.
So I just picked it up from the lib and was flipping through it and ohmygoodness…
THE AMOUT OF S*X SCENES IN THIS IS CRAZY!!! It’s so inappropriate and very, VERY descriptive from just skimming!
Ahhhhh, why can’t it just be cleannnn?! Also it’s a Halloween kinda book, and I don’t really read those type of noons but, yeah. This is just my Christian POV review. Ik some people are ok with reading smut but yeah… that’s a not for me.
I wish there was a way to give negative stars. Even one star for this piece of trash is TOO much! Wow, this was awful. I made it through Chapter 1, and I knew I wasn't going to waste any more time on it. No one has that much time! Let me explain my distaste. First, the writing style was choppy and juvenile. It's ok to have a sentence with more than four or five words (you think I'm kidding?). Next, a few pages into the first chapter, the F bomb is dropped already. Why? Because the female character is directing the male character to place decorative items properly on a job she is PAYING him to do! Because of that, he thinks of her as a "ball buster". Cute. Then, as the boss, he thinks it's ok to let his crew slack off or leave the job because they don't want to take orders from a woman, "even an attractive one". There's also this charming line: "She was pretty. Also pushy. He could think of better uses for her mouth than ordering him around. He liked his women patient, tolerant, and able to exhale." Sexism anyone? Lastly, there's an incident during a lunch that is gratuitous, useless, and just plain stupid. A nasty cat (which is enough for me to quit the book) scratches Prince Charming and his jeans rip in just the "right place" (crotch), exposing his....ahem. Of course the slob was going commando. In the crudest terms we are told his...ahem...is "substantial" (like that makes chauvinism ok). Yes. This is what is in only Chapter 1. Like I said, I don't want to waste my time. Oh, and the female characters are no prizes either, seeming to be utterly unlikable.
I picked this book for the cover .... silly me! I obviously didn't look at it closely enough because I was totally unaware it was three short stories! I'm not too much into short stories or purely romance novels.
Anyway, each story takes place at a B&B in Moonlight, Maine. I did love the names of the streets in this little town! The only way these three stories are related is that each one takes place at the B&B around Halloween time and the owner of the B&B, Amelia Rose, is a part of each story.
The characters were interesting and likable, mostly, in each story with Amelia Rose the owner of the Rose Cottage B&B being my favorite. Her Maine coon cat, Archibald, was also an interesting character! He is described as "black smoke with gold eyes" and "a furry mystic". Amelia Rose does readings for her guests with her crystal ball or Tarot cards. Rose Cottage and Amelia Rose are both mystical. She is quirky and wise and I loved the way she dressed and all her "beads" and jewelry.
The three stories were pure romance! Romance novels are not my first pick. I want some mystery or suspense thrown into the mix. The mystical atmosphere is what saved this book of short stories for me.
These were cute stories with happy endings. However, the sex scenes just got to be too much for me!! If this is the genre you enjoy, then pick this book up.

This was collection of cute 3 short stories entered around a cute B&B. That's for the people who didn't know what is was about (Like me). I don't know what in the world made me think it was a ghost story. I don't even remember reading the blurb.
Anyway just because it wasn't what i was expecting didn't mean I didn't enjoy it. It was really cute. Each story had their own charms and it was relaxing to read a short story in a long time.
All of the stories are set at Rose Cottage a B&B in Moonbright, Maine famous for their Halloween open house. Folks say magic happens during this time of a year and folks find their true love.
Charmed by You by Kate Angell This is the story of Grace Alden a local party planner and owner of the costume store known as Charades. She is decorating Rose Cottage, the local B&B owned by her godmother. When we meet Grace she is shouting orders at Cade Maxwell a local mover and his crew as they unload pumpkins. It took me a while to warm up to Grace, but Angell showcased her softer side. Cade isn't loving her either but, they say magic happens this time of a year. After a very interesting lunch with Aunt Amelia Rose the two of them fall into a steady working rhythm and despite having lived here all of their lives begin to notice each other. Angell was a new to me author, but I enjoyed the small-town feel. She delivered a sweet romance with a dash of heat. Come spend time with Grace and Cade as they decorate for the Halloween open house. -3 cups of pumpkin lattes Mesmerized by You byJennifer Dawson A spicy pumpkin friend to lovers’ romance. I love these type of romances where best friends are the last ones to know they are perfect for each other. Chloe Armstrong and her best friend Jack Swanson are headed to Maine to spend a quiet picturesque weekend at her Aunt Iris’s house. An emergency has them sharing a room with a TINY bed at Rose Cottage. Can a tarot reading and baked goods help them see past their friendship? I always enjoy Dawson's stories she adds depth and managed to make this feel like a full length novel. Delicious heat and a little magic made this tale a joy. -4 cups of spicy pumpkin coffee Enchanted by You by Sharla Lovelace- A second chance romance between Sawyer Finn and Sidney Jensen. They shared a high school "romance" that left them both feeling hurt and sadden. Neither has been successful in love. Finn moved to Maine, she to Boston. Sidney is now a lawyer and after losing an account she tries to redeem herself by handling a lease contract for her boss. She ends up at Rose Cottage where Finn is the caretaker. This was such a sweet romance, with a touch of heat and lots of heart. I quickly became vested in this couple. A first for me by Lovelace, but I will be trying her again soon. -4.5 cups of pumpkin coffee

The Cottage on Pumkin and Vine is an anthology of three different stories by three different authors with one cottage in Moonbright Maine in common. Each story is unrelated but they all share Rose Cottage and it's proprietor. Legend has it that the cottage is magical. One story takes place before Halloween, one during, and one after.
Charmed By You by Kate Angell 2 stars
Charmed by You took place before the big annual Halloween party at Rose Cottage and was my least favourite of the three stories. It involved the party planner and the mover. My problem was that I didn't like the characters very much and the chemistry seemed forced. When the pages heated up I found it a little awkward.
Mesmerized by You by Jennifer Dawson 4 stars
This one took place during the party and was a friends to lovers story. I am a sucker for these type of stories and I found this one quite cute. Jennifer Dawson is not a new author to me and I have enjoyed a couple of her previous novels in the past. She created a chemistry between the two characters that had me routing for them and she is a pro at heating up the pages. I enjoyed everything about this story.
Enchanted by You by Sharla Lovelace 4.5 stars
This one took place after the party and I think it may have been my favourite of the three stories. It was a second chance romance which I am also very fond of. It told the story of present and past through both points of view. I adored when either one of the characters reminiced back to when they were in high school. I thought the story was really cute.
Overall...
This book was a great way to get my romance fix and to get a taste of a few different authors. Each story was quick and easy to read with a lot of romance and perhaps just a little magical realism. The setting was a charming backdrop for three completely different stories.
Thanks but no thanks to my library’s “you should read this next!” recommendations. I know this is supposedly an anthology but I couldn’t even get past the first short story - so many stilted sentences & garbage characterization (as well as plenty of not-so-thinly-veiled misogyny). My entire kingdom for a fall/Halloween novel that is a little spooky, a little witchy, and an easy read. Back to the drawing board, because this one ain’t it.
The cover is beautiful, and each story takes place over Halloween weekend at the same B&B in a small town in Maine.
Charmed by You: 2 stars This story was an enemies to lovers romance. I didn't like the characters or their story. The characters are from the same town but didn't know each other. Mezmerized by You: 3 stars This one is a friends to lovers romance. I liked the characters, and their story was sweet. The characters are friends and are here for the Halloween party. Enchanted by You: 3 stars This one is a second chance romance. I liked the story and the characters. The characters were a couple in high school and meet again at the B&B.
This book, like most comedy shows, should require a two drink minimum. Go into it with the same mentality: the opener is so cringy you have to laugh because you feel bad for them. It gets better but it only feels that way because the following acts can’t possibly be worse. Right? I had to read it in a day because I couldn’t bear it taking up any more of my life. Thank god it didn’t require any brain cells.
I don't know about you but I love reading anthologies. During the holiday's when I'm busy but still need to read they are my go-to books. It's a great way to finish a book while doing the one-hundred-and-one things you do from Halloween on.
We don't always get very many Halloween books anymore and I think that's due to the fact that we have paranormal romances all year long.
So I was so glad to find one...
I've read Kate Angell before and really liked her books. I have never read either Jennifer Dawson or Sharla Lovelace so I was a little worried. Of course not worried enough not to try it though.
Just a heads up that the stories are connected by place not the day of Halloween itself. Charmed by Kate Angell is up first and happens before Halloween, Mesmerized by Jennifer Dawson happened the day of Halloween and Enchanted by Sharla Lovelace happens after.
Charmed by Kate Angell This isn't the first time I've read Kate Angell so I was was slightly shocked that at first I was very unhappy about this story. It took me a while to get into Cade and Graces story. I wasn't sure I liked them at first. After a while I saw that they put up walls around themselves so that they wouldn't be hurt. By the end of their story I was enjoying them more.
Mesmerized by Jennifer Dawson I really enjoyed Jake and Chloe. Friends to lovers can be a good story when done right. I found their story to be very sweet. The magical part of their story was so-so but it didn't really matter because I liked what I was reading.
Enchanted by Sharla Lovelace This story might have happened after Halloween but you still felt the holiday's spirit with them. This is a second-change romance and anyone who follows me knows I'm picky with them. I'm glad to say that I did enjoy Sawyer and Sydney's story. This story caused a little tear in my eye when I was reading it. You'll be very happy that they find their happy-ever-after.
The Book as a Whole As a whole the book is very good. I might not have been thrilled with the Angell story, but that did mean by the end I didn't like how the story ended. I really think you'll enjoy the whole book. It will be a perfect book for those chilly nights to come.
I love seeing a Halloween anthology in the romance genre for once after seeing Christmas ones galore.
“Charmed by You” is the first and shortest. Grace grew very quickly on me but Cade still kinda pissed me off. He was a jerk for most of the story and I didn’t see him much in a good light. Then again it was only about five chapters long.
“Mesmerized by You” was the longest and the most frustrating for me. Chloe and Jack were so stubborn I wanted to shake them. They didn’t want to ruin the friendship with sex and romance? They were already in love with each other! It was obvious!
Still I loved the ending.😉
“Enchanted by You” was probably my favorite. Sawyer and Sidney didn’t take long at all to fall back in love, or rather, to realize they still loved each other and seeing them get together was sweet.
I loved this anthology! I’m only sorry it took me so long to read.
Give a 3 for cheesy and a 4 for sexy and a 5 for suspense as I left the book on a ferry, waited 2 weeks, and did get the book back. Sat in my car to finish and returned to the library...no late charges😱

My thoughts: 🔖Page 30 of 322 Charmed by You Chapter 2 - So far, this isn't bad. I'm not sure if it's a cozy mystery or something, but whatever it is, it's R-rated. I was not expecting the language with this cover.
🧿🔮🦹♀️Charmed by You by Kate Angell pages 9-79 - This was nothing like I expected; it was spicy! The dialogue was cheesy, and there wasn't really a plot, but it was very Halloween. It was okay.
👨⚕️🔮🃏♥️ Mesmerized by You by Jennifer Dawson pages 80-183 - This story was a classic Friends-to-Lovers, but it dragged on too long for me. The best thing about it was that it had the same setting as the first story with overlapping scenes.
🔖227 Enchanted by You Chapter 6 - They sure like to drop f-bombs for no reason. 🔖246 Chapter 8 - This story has more of a plot, but it's still not hitting the spot.
🏫⚖️🧰Enchanted by You by Sharla Lovelace pages 184-309 - This story had the most plot and was the only one set after the party but it had too many side stories for me and the main story took its time as usual.
I thought this would be some sort of cozy mystery centering on Halloween, but instead, it's a spicy romance centered around a fortune teller and B&B owner Amelia Rose with lots of f-bombs and penises. I wasn't expecting that based on the cover, the scenes aren't detailed enough to be erotica but they are beyond your average R-rated contemporary romance. All 3 stories were flirty right away but somehow slow burns. I didn't know that was possible. It was like an instant hookup, but it took them forever to get sorted. Overall, it wasn't bad; I'm on to book 2.
Recommend to others: If you're looking for something spicy and Halloween-themed, that's a quick nonsensical read; definitely pick this one up.
Moonbright, Maine 1. The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine (2016) 2. The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice (2019) 3. The Cafe between Pumpkin and Pie (2021)
This is what I was looking for, I just wish I could find something just like it but M/M. Maybe next year…
I loved the setup of this collection. A small New England town at Halloween. A party set at the local Bed and Breakfast with an owner who may or may not have some magic of her own. So fun! And so very Hallmark Halloween but with a lot more heat. I was actually surprised with the sexiness in the stories, pleased of course, but definitely surprised.
Ok, here is my rundown. The average rating comes out to be 2★'s but I don't feel good about that so I'm bumping it to Rating: 3★'s.
Charmed By You by Kate Angell Rating: 2★'s = it was ok
This was my least favorite of the three, in fact I mostly didn’t like it. This story takes place before the Halloween party and first and foremost I struggled with the writing. I had a hard time getting the flow and felt the writing not my style. I didn’t really like either of the characters either. I didn’t get why a company hired for a job did less when they were told what to do and why they left for lunch and didn’t come back. Honestly, I would have fired them. Not to mention it was totally obvious it was because she was a woman, not a bitchy woman, although she was, it was because she was a woman.
Anyway, I also didn’t get how in this super small town these two didn’t know each other.
It ended up a little sweet but by then I wasn’t really a fan.
I did love all the decorations and the pumpkins and the costumes. This felt the most like a Halloween Small Town Romance it unfortunately just didn’t execute for my liking.
Mesmerized by You by Jennifer Dawson Rating: 4★'s
This story took place during the party and was really a cute best friends to lovers story. I’m not sure how I feel about the magic in this one though. I am all for that little practical Magic type push but this seemed a little more than that. This seemed like they weren’t in control. But, aside from that it was cute and hot and a fun read.
Enchanted by You by Sharla Lovelace Rating: 4★'s
And the last story was probably my favorite and the one I wish was a full length novel and had actually taken place during Halloween and not after. I love Halloween and this couple would have been a great read before the party, during the party and of course, like the story itself, after Halloween.
This was a lovely second chance romance. Any of the niggles I just chalk up to them being children and again, probably would have disappeared had this been a full length story.
So, overall this was what I was looking for when I was searching for Halloween reads this year and I hope to pick up the second collection, The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice, next year.
Three different stories with one place and person in common...Rose Cottage on the corner of Pumpkin and Vine and the owner Amelia Rose. They say her B&B holds magic and those who stay or meet there, at one of her legendary Halloween parties, will find true love.
Kick up your feet, grab your favorite drink, and take a trip with three different couples who do just that... experience the charm of Rose Cottage and fall in love.
A very cute, cozy, magical book. The perfect setting for the fall season. The setting of the bed and breakfast cottage screamed Good Witch to me. But the story line was definitely not Hallmark vibes. These three books, Charmed by You, Mesmerized by You and Enchanted by You, were steamy.
Charmed by You (Kate Angell) “Friendships are born of likes and dislikes. Ice cream is binding.”
One way or another, he needed to see her again. She meant more to him than his dislike of Halloween. Maybe it was time to man up. He could make things right by wearing a costume and attending the party. His presence would make Grace happy. Wasn't that his ultimate goal? Her happiness.
The first story was an enemies-to-lovers romance. It took me a little bit to get into the story. I like Cade and Grace. I thought that they were cute together. 3.25 stars.
Mesmerized by You (Jennifer Dawson) “Your blindness is your greatest obstacle. To find happiness, your fate, you must be willing to strip the blinders away.”
Jack stared into the water, rippling and glittering in the autumn sun. The trees surrounding the lake were in their full fall glory, deep reds, vivid yellows, and bright oranges. It could be a postcard, it was that perfect.
And he fell into her eyes, her smile, and that face he knew as well as his own. She was his now, and he wasn’t ever letting her go.
This is my second favorite story. Best friends to lovers trope. Jack and Chole who finally realized that they’re into each other. 3.5 stars.
Enchanted by You (Sharla Lovelace) “You were the best thing that ever happened to me,” he blurted.
“That man is just as head over heels as you are,” she said. “And just as hard headed.”
This one took me about 3 chapters to get into, but after that, all the feels were happening. This was my favorite story. A second chance romance about Sawyer and Sidney. 3.75 stars.
All I want is a cozy Halloween romance in the vein of Christmas Romance but, you know, with pumpkins and witches instead of snow and elves.
Apparently this is a tall order and an untapped genre. When lookong for Halloween romances, this anthology kept popping up, so I decided to try it.
Oh boy.
I couldn't get past the first story! So much casual misogyny. In fact one line was somethong like "he knew better things she could do with her mouth other than order him around"
An I supposed to find that sexy? Am I supposed to want a woman to fall in love with a man who wants to shut her up with his penis? No.
No no no.
I tried. I know when I pick up these types of romances that I have to ignore details like that to get what I really want, which is just a gooey happy ending. I get that, but I couldn't do that here.
For one, there is this weird scene where a cat somehow rips open thr man's jeans and exposes his penis? It makes no sense and it's weird and not sexy or romantic.
Then the writing style was terrible. It was something like "Grace looked at Cade. She thought of his penis. She blushed. She would like to touch it. Thinking of touching it made her blush more. She blushed a lot. She kept thinking of his penis."
It was hard to read.
I thought of trying the other stories by the other authors, but the first story left such a bad taste in my mouth, I just didn't want to read any more of this crap.

It took a while to warm up to this story because I distinctly felt like being dropped in the middle of a story without a beginning, but once I got into it I couldn't stop. Love the tension between Grace and Cade, especially after the memorable jeans-ripping *smirks*

TWO WORDS: BFF-TO-LOVERS TROPE (that's totally two words)
also I'm crowning Jen Dawson queen of writing sexy times because Chloe and Jack's This is IT moment is one of the best sex scenes I've ever read yes there I said it.

Damn son I didn't expect a second chance story! Sawyer and Sidney's first meeting after 12? years had me in tears I didn't know why I was so emotional...everything about this story makes me emo.
I love holiday stories and this is a fun anthology by three authors which connects characters in Moonbright, Maine. It takes place during fall and the Halloween season. I have been reaing Kate Angell for years and though I found her lead character Grace somewhat annoying, I still liked her story. Ms Dawson is a new to me author and I really enjoyed her story. I started reading Sharla Lovelace recently and find that I look forward to reading her sweet stories. All together, this was a sweet way to enjoy a fall reading afternoon.
DNFED AFTER THE FIRST CHAPTER!! omg this book mannnn. It is so misogynistic and I can’t handle reading anymore of it… I really tried but but like 5 lines from this book really just pushed me over the edge. I really try not to stop reading books halfway through but this just hit a record… the male love interest in this book is super icky and just makes me feel really uncomfortable. The only redeeming quality that I find is the autumnal vibes within the book whenever it takes about Halloween and the pumpkins and skeletons I like it but otherwise just truly awful.
