Chicks are always screaming, “Leave my man alone!" but in reality, they need to be checking their men. Tiana Caldwell is not falling for that foolery. She lives by the code that if your man wanted you, he would not stray. She doesn't care if the man she is in love with turns out to be her best friend's man. Ayana Beasley has it all wrong. She thinks that good sex and babies will help her hold on to the man she loves. That is, until she realizes that he is in love with another woman. Broken and hurt, Ayana turns to the one person she thinks she can her best sister-friend, Tiana Caldwell. Watch the drama unfold between these two women who share the same bed, share clothes, and eat out of the same pot, as they compete for one man. It's winner takes all, and these ladies are playing for keeps. How will it end? Will they throw away their friendship over a man, or will they both walk away from him?
Your Man Chose Me by Racquel Williams is a interesting read. This is my first time reading from this author. She did a good job.
Your Man Chose Me is dealing with drama, obsession and triangle. I don't want to say anything about this book. Ayana and Tiana need to get some help. They shouldn't get mad at each other but they should mad at one person. Micah or Anthony is a something else.
I want to read more books from this author. I give 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 to this book and author.

"Your Man Chose Me" by Racquel Williams....
What I like about this read.. ..
All I can say is that this author gave the reader a interesting story that will keep you turning the pages with lots of drama till the end.... only leaving you wanting more! The three main characters, Tiana, Ayana and [Micah] Anthony will give one quite a storyline, being that we have two women with one guy. Wow! This was quite a twisted situation... once best friends...I don't think so..more of a backstabbing jealous friend! This was definitely not a predictable story! Well, hopefully we will get the ending of this well written story in part two....for this is a cliffhanger!
One of my favorite quotes [scenes] from this read...
From Tiana...to Micah in Chapter 15
"I understand everything you're saying. But I xxxxing blame you, you should've made sure you and that hoe was totally over before you started xxxxing me. I told you from day one, I don't do drama well and also don't do bitches with drama. The truth is, I xxxxing love you, but I love me more and I am not gonna live my life going through this shit wit' your dumb as baby mama. All you niggas need to think first before y'all stick your dicks up into these dumb as bitches because this shit is the outcome."
Wow I finished this book in one day! Tianna just can't catch a break!! Ayanna bout as crazy as they come!!! Man that girl got everything she deserves!! She was doing too murch!! She needed to be...... I ain't saying.. Ant also known as Micah knows what he wants, he not about playing games. Kudos to Lori and Tianna. Excellent book
This book shows just how petty and ridiculous women can be when it comes to men. I felt myself wanting to jump in this book to beat these characters down. Ayana, what can I say about that test tube baby. She's off! I definitely would've killed her off. Jealousy, denial and fear of being broke caused this chick to slowly but surely lose her mind. Tiana, I liked her for the most part. She had dumb moments but once she opened her eyes she was in the game. Micah was a stand up guy. I hated he hot played the way he did. His baby mama had him looking like sucka. Tahj is a snake but I'm not mad about what he did to Ayana. I like Ayana mother, she is brutally honest. I did feel like I need more information on Tiana background as far as exactly how her childhood was. I'd like to see a little more from the mothers as well, they're funny. I did love the positive elements like: they were on school and Micah being a passionate and serious about being in his kids lives. Part 2 should be interesting and i expect to see more drama. That cliffhanger only leaves me to believe that there is more drama to come.
Lord, I hope certain character in this book ain't real, cause she done my blood rise, and now i just want to choke a chick, lol. Now that I done got that out the way. This was a really good read. Ayana was definitely the character you love to hate. She thought she was the ish, when really she wasn't nothing but a thot, who trapped a dude with money. She went to so many extremes in this book, I just wish she was real so i could fight her. Tiana was a pretty cool character at times. I hate what happened to her at the beginning of the book, but luckily for her she didn't let it break her. She did irritate me at times, cause she wasn't as forthcoming as she needed to be at times. Now Ant, I want to like him, but i can't help but feel like everything is his fault. You can not turn a hoe into a house wife, and you definitely better watch ya back from them type of tricks. Cause Ayana was nuts, lol. This book gave the drama, and the right amount of rachetness to make this a great read. Y'all should absolutely check this one out, you won't be disappointed.
Raquel I must say you did your thing with this book! Once I started it I couldn't put it down. First time reading your work and I must say I'm hooked. I thought Tiana was going to be the character I hated but as it turns out Ayanna is. She just don't know how to appreciate nothing like her mom said. I hope everything works out for the best in pt. 2 but really don't want to read about Ayanna and her antics! I gave the book 4 stars because there were a few grammatical errors at times that had me stuck on what the character was trying to and the book could have did without so many verses/8 bars of a song. Other than that "Your Man Chose Me" is definitely a must read!
I started this book earlier today, and I did not stop reading until I was done. As usual, Racquel had delivered a great read. It held my attention from start to finish. I felt bad for Tiana because of her childhood. She just couldn't catch a break. Ayana really worked my last nerve with her trifling self. She gives the word crazy a whole new meaning. I'm glad that she got what she deserved. I really liked Micah. I just hate that he got played the way that he did. If you haven't already read this book, I would highly recommend that you do so. It is definitely a 5-star read.
First time reading Raquel's book & I finished in 1 Day!!! Lol. - Every page had me glued & wanting more from the prologue all the way to the Epilogue. These 2 so-called best friends really showed how you cant trust no one. It amazed me how they still kept calling each other sisters throughout the drama. Tiana was just trying to live her life & going to school so she can be better than what her mother labeled her. However, she should've said something once she put 2 & 2 together that they both was messing with the same man instead of playing along & get out the relationship; but I guess it was too late since she found out while she was pregnant.
. -- Crazy thing is women like AYANA actually exist & live like Ayana today lol. She wasted her time & energy trying to prove that she's bad & no one to be played with that she even forgot to pay her Rent! A WOMAN NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHEN A MAN DOES NOT WANT YOU. The more I read, the more I didn't mind how Tahj treated her at the hotel when they had link up for her to 2 face Micah. That's when I knew that Ms. Racquel aint come to play. lol. Ayana really grossed me out when she had sex with the Indian Motel guy so she can stay there for a month. (ewwwww)… After the break up, Ayana was suppose to focus on herself & her kids & glow up but instead she did the opposite (to fights, having sex with men that Micah knew, disrespecting Moms). I OVER LOVE MICAH'S MOM. { I love how it ended, no need for a part2! Tiana had it up to here to the point she shot & burned that bitch } - Loved how Micah always mentioned the love for his kids. - I WONDER WILL SHE EVER TELL MICAH THAT AYANA WAS THE ONE THAT SHOT HER AT THE 1ST WEDDING!?!?!?!?! :-) GREAT JOB MS. RACQUEL.
This book was soooo good from the first page. In the beginning I loved the bond between Tiana and Ayana was great. Along that line these two girls became enemies because they were dealing with the same guy but the guy used two different names so the girls didn’t know in the beginning but baby when they found out they was so much drama between them. The book had so many twist and turns it made it hard to put the book down. I’m glad I took my time reading this book because it was soooo good. Racquel brought the fire in the book for real. I’m just going to tell you to read this book you won’t be disappointed at all.
Oh my Goodness, phenomenal and capativing story line. I'm extremely and incredibly intrigued from beginning of this story to the very end!!!!! It was unbelievablly violent and vile...disgusting and brutal. I read this book in less than an hour.
The story was told from the point of views of two women, once who were best friends, who loved and were obsessed, for the same man. These characters were very strong, well defined and was clearly created with vivid details.
I love the strength and courage of Trinna and her family values, although, Anyana physical, emotional and violently attacked her. I thought the end of this book was authentic and amazing.
I checked this book out from the library today and finished it tonight! WOW! I even skipped a popular TV show I like just to get to the end to see what would finally happen. This kept me entertained the entire time. I took off one star because the end wrapped up too quickly for me and I wondered (SPOILER: what happened to the kids in the house with their mom? That seemed to be an oversight that the editors should have caught.) Otherwise I thought it was definitely a fast read. Ratched, ratched woman! SMH. WOW. Ayana was the villian of all villians. Good job!
I enjoyed this book. Some characters make you want to fight them. Ayana was straight stupid about her baby daddy. When a man tells you he don't want you, he is telling the truth so move on! This book held my interest with the ratchetness that went on through the whole book. I will check out other books by this author.
First time reading from this author and I will definitely be reading from her again. Book well written, felt it was a little drawn out. However it did keep you guessing and wondering what is to come. A quick read really. (Spoiler Alert) what happen to the kids?
Chicks are always screaming, “Leave my man alone,” but in reality, they need to be checking their man. Tiana Caldwell is not falling for that foolery, she lives by the code that if your man wanted you, he would not stray and she doesn’t care if the man she is in love with turns out to be her best friend’s man.
Ayana Beasley had it all wrong; she thought that good sex and babies would hold on to the man she loves. That was until she realizes that he was in love with another woman and he didn’t love her anymore. Broken and hurt, she turns to the one person, she thinks she can trust; her best sister-friend Tiana Caldwell.
Watch the drama unfold with these two women who share the same bed, share clothes, and eat out of the same pot, compete for the D. It’s winner takes all, and these ladies are playing for keeps. How will it end; will they both walk away, or will they risk their friendship?
Who really does the choosing in a relationship? Is it the female or the male? What happens when the one you chose, chooses someone else?Tiana had a rough start in life and the first chance she gets to run, she takes it. Tiana went to her friend Ayana house. They were friends who were actually frienemies. Loyalty went out the window when Tiana turned 18. Tiana got out and started making changes. Ayana is the chick you want to lay hands on constantly! She is the epitome of childish. She has two children and while I believe she loves them, she is the type of female that you love to hate. Micah/Anthony is not your typical street guy, but then he is sometimes. He is caught up in the middle of a big mess but not completely innocent. Using his good looks and charm got him caught out there. The three of these characters are interwoven and gives you a headache. They are messy, irresponsible and just a throw away from being drop kicked. I am giving three stars. While the story is good, it could use development. There were errors in grammar and punctuation. I also believe more background details would help flesh out the story.
This is my first read by Racquel and I must say I've been missing out. Aside from a few errors I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ayana was just trifling and I couldn't stand her from the beginning. Guess it's true that you can't turn a hoe into a housewife. I liked Tiana and although she found herself in a messed up situation she found a way to overcome it all. I didn't agree with the road she traveled but when her problems came about she did what she thought was best. As much as I liked Micah, I wanted to punch him for going above and beyond when Ayana was playing him. Tahj played Ayana for real and there was no one to blame but herself. That ending only confirmed why I still don't like Ayana. She needs to let the pettiness go and realize her money hungry ass never appreciated the man Anthony was and he chose someone better. I can't wait for part 2 and I hope things won't be too bad for Tiana.
Tiana is the girl next door, always there, fine but not flashy friend that every girl needs and every man wants. Every girl, that is, except the ones who aren't confident enough to hold their own when standing next to all of that shine. When Tiana is forced to leave home at a very young age, her best friend, Ayanna, was the first person she turned to. She was tuned in enough to know when it was time to go, though, and focused enough while there to prepare for that time. She didn't leave with nothing, and she kept building a life when she was gone. The circumstances that led their paths to cross later were anything BUT good. One man, two ladies, never a good thing. As usual, Author Racquel Williams put together an absolutely enthralling tale, one you're forced to read front to back in one sitting. The events that unfold when Tiana, Ayanna, and their man come together are nothing short of jaw dropping and head shaking.
Ok overall this was a good read. I could have done without Ayana's overuse of "baby daddy" and "baby daddy/man" or Tiana always talking about school and her being pregnant but I can see how it was used to show the reader the different ways in which these women behaved. If it wasn't for the fact that I have grown so far apart from my own blood family, I would have questioned how the 2 could be friends for so long and not know the daily happenings with each other. But all in all this was a very enjoyable read. There were a few errors and the ending has me wanting the next book asap!
Great concept, horrible writing. It was a good plot but the story was lackluster. It's a story about 2 best friends who end up dating the same guy. The one friend legitimately did know the guy she was dating was her best friends baby daddy, but she neglected to say anything, which is the cause of the majority of her problems. It was just a poorly told story. It was a waste of a great plot.
I read this book in four hours it was just that good. Ayana and Tiana in the beginning I thought that Ayana was the good girl and Tiana was the lose one but boy was I wrong. Ayana was the Baby Mama from Hell. I really started to like Tiana because she did grow up to become a real lady. This is another book that you won't be disappointed that you brought it. Wish that I could rate it higher. Can't wait for Part 2 to drop.
So Racquel, you just gone end the story like that?? Lol. When I say that book was great, trust me that isn't an understatement. Ayana was trifling and selfish, I hated her more with each page. She let jealousy take over her life. Tiana was wrong for keeping her secret when she found out, but I understand her feelings were involved. I loved this book from beginning to end.
Racquel Williams is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. She really knows how to put words together to form a spellbinding story. There's a thin line between love and hate comes to life in this story when jealousy sits in and chokes all reality and common sense out of a woman. This was definitely a page turner and I am looking forward to the sequel. Kudos, this master storyteller.
OMG this was a good book I can not wait till part 2 comes out. Its crazy how you can practically grow up thinking people have your best intrest but in reality they do not even like you. I was a little torn because Ayana was a lost cause. Anthony or Micah was a liar tho he was playing both sides and Tiana never even thought about that.Well we shall see what would happen I knew Ayana would not let it go down without a fight.
