Lennon A passionate free spirited girl with a constant need to run,’ or ‘Unsettled,’ is how my mother would describe me. I call it an eternal eagerness to roam. My feet always seem to carry me along the path less traveled, sometimes leading me into trouble, and every once in a while, they lead me to something fu****g great. That something great might just be a bike riding, cut wearing hard-ass. Buck might just be worth slowing down and hanging around for.
Buck Uninteresting―that’s what I’d say about anything outside my club. An old lady, uninterested. Bitches beyond the bedroom, uninterested. A roommate, definitely not fu*****g interested. I ran, like a bat outta hell, from one bad situation two years ago and I’m not looking to repeat the same goddamn mistake twice, but Lennon doesn’t make it easy on a man. Crazy beautiful, a wild heart, and an infectious spirit, Lennon might just be enough to pique my interest.
Reader. Writer. Crazy person. Lover of all things home décor and the color black.
Jaci lives on the coast in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her lovely, but crazy family. If she's not reading or writing you can find her wandering the isles of a home store or hanging out with her monster son.
She's the author of The Hell's Disciples MC series and The Sick and Twisted Love series.
Hell's Disciples are back. Another Chapter finally got a story. Buck makes an appearance in Crash and Burn( yes you better have read the other 3 books)
Lennon is a free spirt so paring her and Buck worked!
The Run (The Hell’s Disciples MC Book 4) Jaci J 5 free spirited stars
Jaci J has really continued to make a mark with this series. Creating characters that we have become family with is something every reader wants when opening to that first page …. Jaci has created characters you can connect with and love.
Lennon Rose Page is a wild and free spirit according to her friend Lil. Needing to find a place to settle for a short bit, Tank opens up his home to her until she is able to travel and get to Lil’s Uncle Dan’s chapter. Returning from a long run and ready to hang his hat up for a few days Buck doesn’t want to retrieve the “package” and become a babysitter but when his President asks him to do something he would never say no.
Heading to Washington, Buck has never seen a more intriguing, sassy and quick witted woman ever …. Outside of his club there isn’t much in the big world that holds his interest … maybe all of that is about to change. Lennon isn’t sure what to think of the gigantic biker standing in front of her. He has a smart mouth and is extremely bossy. Its nothing she hasn’t ever dealt with before but she needs to hold her own but at the same time be polite. He is taking her into his home for goodness sake.
Buck and Lennon weave their way into an amazing banter of friendship and respect for the other. As time moves on Buck and Lennon both begin to see the other for what they are. Buck has been played before by Jess but Ben sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong … that just doest sit right until maybe Ben is on to something. Letting his past smear his judgment he might not be able to fix this. He knows Lennon will run but just how far and when?
There are some really fantastic secondary characters in this release .. some new and some old. I am dying to know what is going on with Sammy and Tags. Tinker, Gin, Peaches, Lil, Tank, Dan, Rock .. the entire crew is still here and still going strong. I LOVE THIS MC!
Click it up friends. Although this is considered a standalone I would definitely click up the previous books. They are really good and get better as we move along through the series. The next release is the continuation of the rival between the Raiders and the Oregon crew. I have a feeling its about to get intense. A member of the HD is still missing and someone needs to start talking.
Thank you Jaci J for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
I have been a fan of Jaci's books from the beginning. I have connected to each and every character she has given me, and this story is no different. She took this story in a bit of a different direction, which I was excited about. This is Hell's Disciples, Oregon Chapter. They're different from the Washington chapter, (except for their love of cussing, lol), by being more laid back and not as intense, which I found refreshing because I was hoping they would be different, being from somewhere else. They all can't be the same, and she pulled it off so smoothly. Buck is like a less intense version of Rampage to me, and it was a perfect way to make this character. He's quiet, a man of few words, and then he's asked for a favor from Lil and his President, to take in her friend, and Lennon turns his world upside down. Lennon is a character I think we all want to be. She's quirky, free-spirited, and lives life exactly how she wants to. She makes no apologies for who she is and what she wants, and she takes life as it comes, not trying to bend situations to fit her needs. She goes with the flow and appreciates what she has. She's also pretty OCD when it comes to what does belong to her, which once you read the book, you will understand why. These two both keep their secrets until they have no choice but to open up and be honest. They start out as friends, somewhat, and it was so nice to watch their relationship progress slowly, which for me is always a nice change of pace. I love the anticipation and angst that comes from relationships evolving because I love that feeling of going through it with them. I didn't see the ending coming, but I completely understood the decisions she made and why she made them. It made me love her even more. Lennon is now my favorite female character of all.
With the 4th book in this series I would say I was less enthusiastic with this one. I liked Buck and Lennon but I didn't feel the passion like I did with the other books. It was a nice read but it didn't rock my world and I was bored at times with this couple. I do like the fact that there is not a whole lot of drama - there is some but not over the top, her books concentrate more on the couple which I like.
I feel this author does have a nice build up with her stories but then finishes it so fast when it comes to the ending where I don't feel she explains what has happened. I want her to slow down a bit at the end.
I am enjoying the series and will probably continue with the books
Not gonna lie I was nervous the first chapter. I have read everything by Jaci and loved it all. I couldn't seem to get into this straight from chapter one like I do most of her books but once I started it couldn't be stopped. Buck was pretty f'ing awesome and loved how he was dipicted like a "normal" man instead of a Adonis like most books claim the Alphas to be. Lennon really stole the show for me in this book. While most book you want to have the man in this book I longed to be Lennon. So carefree and at peace with the world! Loved the book, Loved the characters, LOVE JACI J! Now I must sleep! **Rampage still has my heart
I love Jaci J's books and I've loved this series. Out of all the books, this was my least favourite, not because I didn't enjoy it - I did - but because nothing really happened. It may be because this is an offshoot and we were just being introduced to the new characters.
Stayed up to silly o'clock to finish this book, excellent read. It is different as has moved to the Oregon Chapter. Buck is Sargent at Arms, Dan is President. After Church Dan keeps Buck back. He needs him to ride to Washington, Tank has requested somewhere for a girl to stay, Dan has decided she'll stay at Bucks as the clubhouse will soon be packed for an event. Lennon is a girl who had a bad past but copes by having the attitude of a hippie. She loves the outdoors, she loves riding on Buck's bike, she dosnt stay anywhere long. Buck tries telling her what to do, with a smile she ignores him. She drives him mad, but grows on him. They both have their secrets that try to come between them. Trouble is around with a rival MC trying to move in too. Really good read. I was a bit off when realised things had moved to Oregon. But, think it's gonna work out well Sue P
Buck is in the MC from a different area. This is where Lil's uncle Dan is President. Tank has requested a place for a friend of Lil's to crash and Buck is volunteered per Dan to pick her up and then babysit her.
Lennon is a free spirit she just goes with the flow. She's definitely what is call a hippie type. Everyone that meets can't help but be drawn to her because of her free going ways. Until Buck he's been ripped to shreds by a woman doesn't trust them as far as he can throw them.
The Hell's Disciples MC series book 4 I couldn't put this book down, great story with a happy ever after. Lots of sex and violence. Definitely recommend this book 9/10 Lennon A passionate free spirited girl with a constant need to run, unless there's something great to stay for, It might just be a bike riding, cut wearing hard-ass. Buck might just be worth slowing down and hanging around for.
Buck Uninteresting―that’s what I’d say about anything outside my club. Until Lennon a Crazy beautiful, a wild heart, and an infectious spirit, Lennon might just be enough to pique my interest.
Buck does not trust easy. He is sent on a babysitting mission and gets more than what he bargained for. Lennon is a free spirit. Everyone who meets her is drawn to her but she is hiding something. When things turn awry for the club fingers get pointed but not in the right direction. Lennon makes a decision which stops her running and hopefully finding peace when she is finished.
Gotta love Buck - big, badass, take no prisoners kind of guy. Lennon, a free spirit who runs by the beat of her own drum and forms an unlikely alliance with Buck. There isn't a lot of drama in this instalment but a good story nonetheless.
What did Lennon go to jail for? I’m guessing the hustling, especially stealing from the banks? Anyway, again we got interesting characters from this author and a good story.
Okay... I must confess that I hadn’t read the series before I received The Run so I binged on four MC books in two days to get this one done and I would do it again in a heartbeat!!
This is an awesome series that anyone who loves hot ass bossy bikers and strong AF women would devour. The Hell’s Disciples MC are based in the Oregon/Washington area and are a respected entity. They are not without their struggles, but even from the first installment of the series The Ride the camaraderie and belief in protecting family at all costs is strong.
The Run is the #4 installment of the series and introduces us to Buck and Lennon, who are new characters to the family that are based in a different chapter than the three previous books but every now and then an old character cameos. Buck and Lennon are brought together by Lennon’s need to disappear and reinvent herself. Buck is the perfect protector because he doesn’t seem to get attached to anyone because of his ex witch Jess.
Without spoiling the plot, we see a lot of sexy banter and bossy biker mouthiness that is so steamy at times I was wishing I was Lennon… He loved her little quirks even when he wanted to kill her because she was aggravating the hell out of him...early on in their quarantine together he has given her his laptop and she is like a four year old, Saying “Look at this” every five minutes. He then thinks how hot she is doing all the annoying mess… she keeps interrupting him while he is trying to work in his shop and he thinks “I wanna drive a pickaxe into my f@#$% ear and f@#$ her g@#$d#$$ brains out right here on that work bench. This s@#$ is s@#$ I do not need.” They are two very secretive people who learn to trust each other but not with a horrible struggle that makes them understand how much alike they are and made for each other…
Luckily there are more books coming and I can keep reading the sexiness that is the Hell’s Disciples MC….
This definitely felt incomplete. Though the author does put a note that the rivalry between the Disciples and the Raiders will continue in the next book, I felt that too many things were left unanswered just so the focus could be on Lennon and Buck...mostly Lennon.
Her character, while free spirited, was annoying as hell at times. I felt, for a woman that was nearing thirty, she acted too much like a damn child at times, it was weird. I mean it's one thing to be care free and move around, but she really had no self preservation at times and it was surprising that she never got hurt during her 'running away' stage, which I totally admired. My feelings towards her character are completely mixed. I wanted her to grow up and act her fucking age and stop acting like a recalcitrant child every time she didn't get what she wanted, but other times, like when Jess was up in her face, she always kept her cool. She never turned into that woman who made a fool of herself over a man, whether she felt jealous or not, she let Buck handle his own ex. I thought that was cool as shit.
Buck, well fuck that dude was whipped as shit when it came to pussy, which says alot considering he's the fucking Sergeant at Arms of the club, so yeah why he's always brought down by women is beyond me, but for a man with his reputation to always fall so hard only to look so fucking stupid...that's just wrong. While Lennon never really lied to him, she did withhold so much at a time his club was going through problems so it made him look like an idiot, even if she was loved and trusted by everyone and her problems had nothing to do with him.
Hopefully the author delves more into the problems the club is having within their own and also with the Raiders. Those were very interesting topics but none were expanded on in this book and therefore we're left wondering...WTF!
4 1/2 stars!! There's nothing quite like it when your very favorite MC author (yes, my VERY favorite! I love the MC sub-genre but Jaci J is the absolute BEST!) comes out with a new book after many months of anxiously waiting! Some authors release a new book every month or so, but Jaci J takes her time to create perfect masterpieces between her Hell's Disciples books...and it's so worth the wait!
Buck is the typical badass broody but sexy biker who really sin't much of a people person in general, let alone getting along with women. He says at one point that his usual conversation with women goes something like this- "Take off your clothes." Lol. Then Lennon blows into his life entrenching herself into his house, on his bike and being constantly by his side. She turns his world upside down in the best of ways.
I've got to say, I have read all of Jaci J's works since the beginning and I've always had a love for her characters, but....Buck and Lennon they were just.....AMAZING! I was sucked in from the beginning
The story flowed steadily as you follow along with Buck and Lennon as unlikely roommates and watch the progression from roomies to lovers. You can't help but feel for Buck and his unsure feelings toward Lennon given his past. The two of them together are off the charts.
This book was well worth the wait. Give yourself a pat on the back Jaci, you deserve it.
This is my Confession: Buck and Lennon have replaced Rampage and Lala as my favorite Hell Disciples couples and thats not an easy thing to
The Run is another great Hell's Disciples MC book, the fourth. Buck and Lennon become mix matched roommates. Two strangers thrown together. Buck is the SAA for the Hell's Disciples MC, Oregon Chapter. He is your typical moody alpha biker that doesn't do relationships. Lennon is in need of a place to land again, she is a total free spirit. They gradually fall into a comfortable existence with each other but they don't trust easily. This book flowed easily and I read in one sitting. Full of content. Loved the humor of a woman who lives from moment to moment crash into the life of a man that is rude, crude, and bossy. This was a great pairing. Never a dull moment. Great read. Great job Jaci J. Can't wait for the next book.
This is another great book in the Hell's Disciples MC series. I love both Buck and Lennon, Rampage is still my favorite though, but these 2 are a close second now. I'm kicking myself because I wasn't able to read this sooner!
I love how much of a free spirit Lennon is. I was curious about what she was running from. I'm really curious about the red Harley we heard about too. She's perfect for Buck.
Buck has major trust issues, but can you blame him once his story comes out? I can't. I think anyone would have issues after that crap.
I do wish we would have seen Lennon beat the crap out of Jess though. That would have been freaking awesome. I can't wait for the next book. I absolutely love this series.
Another great book from Jaci. Buck and Lennon work for each other. They are very different, and in many ways the same. Lennon came to Buck as a favor from his Washington Chapter MC. Lennon is a free soul that wonders all around and can't seem to settle down. Buck is a hard man. He's been screwed over so many times that he hates pretty much everyone, but a selective few. So he's not too happy about having to go pick up Lennon in Washington. Or, to deal with a woman of all things. He is not happy about having to share his space with a woman and all of her girly stuff. He just wants to go home to the peace and quiet. But, that just doesn't happen.
Jaci J writes the BEST biker books! Read this book in a day because I couldn't put it down! Loved the characters. Buck and Lennon are so perfect for each other. They complement each other. There are some funny one liners in this book. Laugh out loud funny! Lennon is a breath of fresh air. Loved her and hope to read more about the both of them in other books. When Lennon is sitting on the bar singing and holds her make believe mic to Rock I just about lost it! That was so funny! I could see the expression on Bucks face ! Now that's good writing. Bravo to you Jaci J . You can write. You never make a book boring, not even one page. Thank you.
I loved this book...it was so different and I especially liked the quirky and very hippie calm Lennon who proved herself to be a perfect match for the untouchable and brooding Buck. They were an unlikely odd couple with major trust issues and I really enjoyed watching their journey to falling in love (even when they both refused to admit real feelings for each other). It was sexy and romantic and violent and just an enjoyable biker read...complete with the jealous EX and creepy "brothers". I would definitely read more by this author.
WAS CONFUSED AT FIRST... SINCE I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE ANY OF THE PEOPLE BUT FIGURED OUT PART OF THE WAY THROUGH THAT THIS WAS A DIFFERENT CHAPTER (OREGON) THAN THE PREVIOUS BOOKS. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A FUN READ & THE WAY THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS INTERACTED WAS CUTE. THE ENDING SEEMED RUSHED & INCOMPLETE (WE NEVER WERE TOLD WHAT LENNON DID TO LAND HERSELF IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW & I ASSUME SHE TURNED HERSELF IN). OTHERWISE, IT WAS GREAT.
This story was a little different. Not a terribly deep book, I couldn't help but enjoy the h, Lennon, and her spirit. Her character was something of a fresh breath of air in a world of stereotypes. There were a couple of small continuity issues, but nothing too major. The ending was a bit of a surprise. Like this review, it was glossed over. It was a solid 3 stars, but I gave it an extra just because it gave me something different in biker romance world.
