This is a very short story about John and Diane from Ready To Fall. You could probably read this one without reading Ready To Fall, but why would you do that when it's such a sweet romance.

John and Diane are getting married and this story is about them figuring out what wedding cake they want. They end up getting distracted because they are such a couple in love. Sweet short story about love and dessert. Give it a try.

Our island lumberjack John Day and his fiancee Diane are finally tying the knot. For those who have read Daisy Prescott, you will remember this couple's first meeting in Geoducks is For Lovers book. In Take the Cake and Run, Diane is going cake shopping with John who has an affinity for hating everything girly, the thing though is he loves Diane, and with a sweet tooth he will do anything to make his wife-to-be happy. I loved their cake shop interactions and the innuendo of the name Sweet Endings. In this book, we also see a sexy erotica fantasy involving cake mixtures and chocolate. If you aren't into foodplay, then give this one a skip but who knows it might spark your interest to give it a go - I know I have with an ice-cream sundae and a certain appendage and mmmm. Delicious tasting if not a little messy. If you are in the mood for a #cute romance with a bit of sexy steam, then check out this quickie read "Take the Cake and Run" by Daisy Prescott.

A short and sweet story about John and Diane. It is highly recommended you read the first book in the Wingmen series (Ready to Fall — which is John and Diane’s story), prior to reading this short.

Another great novella from Daisy Prescott giving us a look into the lives of one of the Whidbey Island couples.

This time it's John and Diane as they prepare for their wedding day. A cake tasting leads to some honest talk about what they really want from their special day and it's all love, beards and sexy goodness as usual.

I'm really enjoying these short stories which will lead up to the long-awaited release of We Were Here, the prequel that goes back to the crew's college days. They are a group of characters worthy of a read.

Well John sucks it up and we get to enjoy the hi-jinks that result. All is fun in love and desserts as Diane and John show us. You'll never look at desserts the same. Ms. Prescott delivers a fun and sexy short read that is well worth the laughter and passion we get to share in.
