this was my mom's version of "The Talk". I don't remember too much about this book, but I liked the little individualized stories toward the end, with different girls all having a certain puberty-related issue (needing a bra, tampons, etc) and getting help/advice from a family member or friend. without anything to compare it to, I suppose this is as good a puberty book as any. much preferable to having a face-to-face discussion with my mother about a lot of these topics.
