The dangers of being a rock star were always far from her, until Chase makes a deal that forces Meghan to make a tough decision.
Torn between love, ambition and discovering what she really wants, she must decide whether to stay in Lakeside or go on tour for three months.
To make matters worse someone from Chase's past surfaces.
Now she might not only lose love but it looks like she may lose her life in the process, as she finds herself at the center of a kidnapping.
ROCK STAR books are all complete novels. They may be read as stand-alones, however, you may find they are best enjoyed in the following order so that you can see the change of the characters over the course of the series.
Rock Star #1 - The Song Rock Star #2 - The Contest Rock Star #3 - The Deal
Please note, this entire review is a rant and filled with spoilers which it is why it should be hidden, read only if you have read the book.
I am so utterly disappointed. This is the first one star review I have ever given. That is how bad this book is. For one, it is a continuation of the other books in series, but so little time is spent on the couple. The majority of the book is spent detailing a kidnapping. Considering the whole event was only four days long, the fact it made up the majority of the book was ridiculous.
Couple in the fact that the hero Chase is a complete jerk, why Meghan would ever give him the time of day is unbelievable. These two have no chemistry and nothing to justify why they are together. Meghan is just as bad. She goes on tour with Chase, and she doesn't even barely spend any time with him. I just don't get it. They go through something traumatic together, Chase puts his life at risk because he just has to save Meghan, than he has nothing to do with her for months after. No he gets sad so he has to drink, do drugs, oh and sleep with a number or women, including an old girlfriend. No secret, Meghan, finds the two together and she winds up going back to him, really? She really would have been better with Luke, which is why the author probably killed him off in literally the last few pages of the book. Then we get this quick rushed ending. So annoying, and really, a bus load of college girls...good for business...and he makes an "its only you" comment, yeah, right. Unfortunately, this book was a waste of my time and it makes me regret reading the other books in the series.

Sometimes it is good to read books that don't have a happily ever after. Now, the author may think it does but I don't. I have no respect for any man who disrespects a woman by having sex with other women while in a relationship. Excuses like I drank too much, I was stressed, I was on coke. Who cares. I did not like Chase from book 1. I think Meghan is an idiot.
Now that my rant is over, the author did a good job writing the books. To get an emotion---even a angry, hostile, I want to kick their butts or shake some sense out of the characters is a sign of a good writing skills.
The minor characters, Spike and Sophie turned out to be the most mature and level headed force. Luke was a character I wouldn't mind reading more about....his younger life.
I know all three of my reviews were not exactly praise worthy, I do hope you take the time and read the series. If anything, it will have you shaking and yelling at your kindle!
