But they’re not angry over the war; rather, their hatred comes from pure greed. They lost their fortunes in the attempt to corner the market because Grant dumped government gold into the mix.
Now, with Grant planning a tour of the Rockies in 1880, they’re scheming to lure him to Mountain Springs by inviting Matt Tyler, the man who saved the general’s life during the war, to come work for their law firm.

Greeted by one of many brutal murders of law clerks, Matt can immediately smell trouble in the air.

Hokie. I thought I was watching an old Roy Rogers movie. This could do irreparable damage to the western as a serious literary genre.
