a brief biography of khan Abdul Ghaffar khan and his political beliefs written by one of his political opponent at the time of partition of subcontinent
warning this review contain some extracts from the book which some readers may find spoiler this book disappointed me. i was expecting some genuine objections on Bacha khan but all it contained were every day unscholarly criticism . the reasons I disliked this book are 1:this book is unnecessarily lengthy these 340 above pages can sum up in 60 pages 2:the content of book are not in accord with the title. most of the discussion is about the relatives of bacha khan Baba and a good no of pages are confined to life and services of the writer himself. so how is Bacha khan responsible for views of his brother or for the deeds of his ancestors ? 3:this book is full of irony 4:constant repetition of events here under I present a few Gems from the book
discussing motto of khudai khudmatgar(servants of GOD) writer argues that "God doesn't need service and God is only worshipped" . yes exactly this is what Khudai khidmatgars said that "God doesn't need service and service of man is service of God "
on appointment of a Hindu Ameer chand Bamwal as secretary of provincial congress committee the writer says"so now in a Muslim majority province a Hindu will work on equal basis as Muslims "
on Qissa khwani massacre writer blamed congress for that mass murder saying if khudai khidmatgars would have not protested , British would have not opened fire on them ..
on bacha khan's visit to England writer quoted Bacha khan saying "it is good that i came to your country because in the past i did not have a good opinion about you. the Britisher i meet in India were different thank God, i came here . the misunderstanding about you has vanished" with these lines writer wants to prove that Bacha khan has double standards and among Britishers he praised them and away he posed to one of great rivals. my answer is that Bacha khan had no problem with common people of England all he was against was British colonial mindset and their policies
writer objected on release of funds to Bacha khan by congress .. what's wrong with that he was worker of congress
when khan Abdul Qayyum destroyed and ashram built by congress, the writer consider it one of the greatest services for islam and said his name will be written in golden words in history because he destroyed a symbol of Hindu culture . these people now a days complain about religious intolerance
inspired from Gandhi ji when bacha khan became vegetarian and avoided meat it became an unislamic act for the writer last but not the least defending Joseph Goebbels (nazi), writer says that " lies and propaganda of Goebels can be justified because he was doing it for his country and his community " this is height of Fascism.
nevertheless the part about bacha khan's ancestors was informative.
