Life has been pretty sweet for witch Petunia Patterson. She’s investigating crimes with her handsome neighbor Noah, her potions are working better than ever, and even Pansy has grown accustomed to being a cat. That is until Aunt Maxine can’t be found anywhere. Is she missing, or did she go on a vacation?
Aunt Maxine’s witchy friends Hazel and Wanda, who are also searching for her, act on the only clue available, an invitation to the annual witches convention in Witchataw.
Petunia, Noah and Pansy leave for the convention with Hazel and Wanda directing them, hoping to find Aunt Maxine. When they discover Aunt Maxine is indeed there, but accused of murdering the Grand Witch, it’s time to go into investigation mode.
What the sleuths don’t realize is that Witchataw is off the grid, and they’re about to discover more about witches than they ever expected, including some great perks when investigating crimes there.
When Madison Johns began writing at the age of forty-four, she never imagined she'd make it onto the USA Today best-selling books list with her first cozy mystery, Armed and Outrageous, as an independent author. Sure, this book is an Amazon bestseller, but USA Today?
Although sleep-deprived from working third shift, she knew if she used what she had learned while caring for senior citizens to good use, it would result in something quite unique. The Agnes Barton Senior Sleuths mystery series has forever changed Madison's life, with each of the books making it onto the Amazon bestseller's list for cozy mystery and humor.
Madison is a member of Sisters In Crime. Madison is now able to do what she loves best and work from home as a full-time writer. She has two children, a black lab, and a hilarious Jackson Chameleon to keep her company while she churns out more Agnes Barton stories with a few others brewing in the pot. Books

Another fantastic mystery with so many twists and turns that I had to slow down to get my bearing. The Grand Witch is dead, wait, the last three before her are also dead. Seems like a pattern or is it? Accidents, murder, natural causes, it's up to Petunia and Noah with a little help from Pansy to investigate and get the truth. So they can leave the witches island and get back to Lake Forest. Such fun, can't wait to read the next in the series.
A good read, but i have read several other books with a similar plot before. A missing aunt, a witch convention, missing spell books, a dead body and power hungry witches. Who killed the head of the witches? Why have there been deaths before? When her aunt is suspected of murder, she and her PI step up to the plate to investigate. The ending seemed a bit weak but all in all a good read.
Read the first three in the series over the last few days; and I'll have to say I did not guess who was the guilty party, at least partly due to the number of suspects. Charming, though kind of dizzying.
T This is a cute light hearted book that really keeps you guessing. I have enjoyed reading this author is writes a good story. I would recommend this book.
I love these lake forest witches books. This time Petunia another handsome neighbor Noah (who she dates when they are not working a case) go to a witches convention in Witchitaw (no mistake in the spelling). There they try to clear up who murdered the Grand Witch. The book is a fun read. The new one is out and I can't wait to read it.
Petunia & Noah must discover who killed Marta. Was it her aunt, Priscilla, Estelle or someone else? This is an enjoyable read that does not need to be read in order. I missed book two and had no problem following along. Great read, great humor.
I ate this book up quickly! Delightful quirky story about a Witches Who Dunnit! A quick and delightful read, I really enjoyed it! Will read more stories by this author!
Another great addition to the Lake Forrest Witches series! This time the mystery takes place at a witches convention & what a great cozy story to read snuggled up! Can't wait for the next book!
