70 edited versions of historically significant papers of science. Leeuwenhoek & Descartes as well as other very familiar names along with a few whose names have been left out of our classrooms.
This was rather dry reading in parts, and sometimes tedious but worth it. It is a reminder that everything that we now know to be true and accepted as fact, had to be discovered slowly over time and a great many people had to think and work, sometimes alone and sometimes in collaboration with their contemporaries to put these into the common knowledge. I enjoyed most of it and I think it is worthwhile reading for anyone interested in science and the history of science.
