Clifford is so excited to visit a pumpkin patch with Emily Elizabeth that he breaks away and runs ahead on his own. Nothing exciting or interesting comes of it though.

There are a few pages where Clifford spends the night before imagining what a pumpkin patch might look like that are actually amusing, but not enough to lift the rest of the book above meh.
