Walking through Time is a series in History for classes 6 to 8. It is in conformity with National Curriculum Framework (NCF 2005) of the NCERT and is based on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) scheme introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education. This book is also suitable for schools affiliated to state boards of education which are following the National Curriculum Framework. As envisioned in NCF 2005, the series aim inculcating in the students a historical sensibility and awareness about the significance of History by presenting the topics in a manner which will enable students to make interconnections between processes and events, between developments in one place and another, and to see the link between histories of different groups and societies within the country.
