Christopher Columbus, Hernando De Soto, and other Spanish explorers brought pigs with them to the shores of America. Yes, these European explorers brought pigs to the western hemisphere. Upon stepping foot off their ships, the white man then let lose the pig to roam the land and breed as a future source of food for future explorers to come and indeed more Europeans did arrive and conquered the Americas. Modern wild razorbacks, in the American South, also descended from the pigs these explorers brought. Subsequently, during the founding of the new world, the first African slaves ultimately were feed a diet of the sinful swine flesh, including Native Americans (Red man). "And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you."
