His body climbing over mine. My teeth biting his neck. His scent on my skin. My nails carving a path down his back. His commands whispered in my ear. All of my senses filled with him. I knew it was bad. But I craved more. It had begun innocently enough, bumping into one another in a crowded Boston bar. What followed that night had been anything but innocent. Because I'd known, even as he'd slid inside of me, that he was my professor. I'd pursued him, a predator stalking its prey. And he didn't know I was his student. But he would.

So it's a little past midnight and I'm lying awake thinking of this book. No, not thinking, obsessing. I'm obsessing over what I just read. Honestly, I've said this a couple of times and I'll tell you, I had a full blown love affair with this novel. I'm in LOVE, LUST and EVERYTHING in between.

When it comes to these characters, this authors writing, and this story, I am so blown away. Lord, I want to marry this book. LMAO! Dramatic, I'm sure, but I am over the MOON in love. It's without a doubt going down as one of my absolute favorites. It's up there with Gabriel's Inferno which is one of the BEST Student/Teacher romances I've read. And the crazy thing is: I DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO BE THIS GREAT. AT. ALL!

I read the blurb, I saw the cover, and thought, "Oohhhh, sexy! This should be fun." I thought smut. I didn't think deep, soulful, emotional, angsty. God, I was way off. It was so much more than SMUT. It had SOUL. I'm still trying to catch my breath. In a way I'm shocked. Where did this author come from?! I've scoured Amazon, Goodreads etc, desperate for more, praying to the book Gods that I'd find more novels by this author, but sadly this all Alex Lucian has.

This does NOT read as a debut novel. It's simply too fantastic.

The writing is FLAWLESS. **shivers** It's so perfect. I want to read this author's work FOREVER. I read a lot. I "eat, breathe and sleep" reading. I'm passionate about my books. I'm even more passionate when a book surprises me. And this left me giddy. It's torturing me in the most delightfully delectable way. In a way that my mind is consumed. In the way that my heart is going crazy. I can't stop smiling. My chest feels full as though it wants to explode from all the feelings I have for these characters. I want to take my kindle, dance on my bed like a five year old who just discovered a secret stash of the worlds BEST milky chocolate.

I feel euphoric.
Obsessed.
Stolen.

I love this book so much I want to read it again and again.

I love the heroine. Adele, she's feisty and tenacious and bold, but soft and tender where she needs to be. I, too, have daddy issues, so I really related to her pain and also the way she reacts to men. She felt realistic. So completely me. Yeah, that's it, she felt like ME. I related to her on a deep level. When she hurt, I hurt. When she smiled and swooned, I did the same. I wanted her to feel loved and wanted and needed and every time she was rejected I felt that sting as though I was being whipped. I felt the burn in my heart. I truly loved the Heroine as much as I did the Hero.

And Nathan... Nathan stole my air. His pain and guilt was a tangible emotion that carried through the pages palpably. A broken man whose moments of utter despair and anger, rage over his past, made me want to wrap him in my arms and love him entirely. Not only that, the man is a BEAST--In bed. In life. Everywhere. He about melted my panties off with his dirty mouth, his intensity so wholly consuming. He is an alpha male after my own heart.

I loved the progression between these characters from start to finish. From lust to love. It was REAL. It was AUTHENTIC. There were no eye rolling moments. No moments where I thought, "wow! that's far fetched." I can't say it enough, this is not some poorly written student/teacher book. This isn't some forbidden, tawdry romance written just to get you hot and bothered. This is MORE. It's EVERYTHING.

I'm rambling. I know this review is just a bunch of rambling. But I can't form any more thoughts than this because I'm still in the book and I need time to process. I will come back and add more to this review, but I wanted to post something and URGE you to buy AND READ Tempting. It's a must read. Don't buy it and leave it on your Kindle. READ THE BOOK. Read it and really absorb the greatness.

I am totally impressed with this author. I will be reading every book that is released. I can't express my love for the words that were laid on the pages. Marvelous.

BRAVO. That's all I can say. BRAVO. What a great novel. So BRILLIANT. So fantastic. So intense. Completely phenomenal. I've said it a million times and I'll say it once more. I LOVED IT. 5 stars is simply not enough.

Might as well give up here since I really couldn't connect with Adele or the story.

I think there's a difference between sexually free and sexually aggressive that borders on creepy. Adele was sexually aggressive, creepy and manipulative. I love sexually independent heroines, heroines who own their sexuality. But Adele just takes it to the next level. It's just creepy especially when the guy said no and had to physically rebuff her advances which I'm sure doesn't last long since as per the reviews, they did engage in an illicit affair.

Sorry I didn't get to know Nathan more but based on what I've read, he's not particularly interesting to me. Hot professor who likes it rough. Hmm, I wonder where I've read that before...

Frankly, I don't really care about their story anymore. He had a lot of baggage that I know for sure. The fact he was treated as man meat that's ripe for the taking by his students and by Adele didn't sit well with me.

So I'm out. I'm sure a lot of readers will love this. I'm afraid it's just not for me.

4.5 STARS

I loved this story so much. I could not put it down last night and I had to read it to the very ending. The whole student/teacher affair story can be so fantastic if it's done right, and it's absolutely done right in this story. There's was no insta-love, and these two characters have actual stories, not just sex. Nathan was a heart broken complicated man, who refused to let himself be happy ever again, until Adele was able to break down his defenses and let him see what living life could feel like again. Adele came off as a strong, confident woman who goes after what she wants, but after she gets smacked down, we also get to see her true inner weaknesses as well. I loved every second of this story, even the bit of drama at the ending of this one, and most ESPECIALLY the ass kissing and groveling that needed to be in this story. These two were perfect together. I cannot recommend this baby enough!

Seriously impressive debut for this author. I fucking loved it. The writing was crisp and emotional without being maudlin, the hotness was off-the-charts, and the characters themselves added a unique twist to the student-teacher angle. I'm definitely reading Alex's next book!

3,75 steamy "not enough" forbidden stars

This is the first book I have read from this author and I have to say I liked the book.

It didn't have "too much" of the tension and the "booohooo" atmosphere from dealing with the "forbidden" subject/student-teacher relationship.

It was more subtle and it presented the side of their inner struggle while coping with the limits and labels of certain feelings growing from a one-night fuck (where the teacher didn't know she was his student BUT she knew who he was) over the refusal/denial/avoidancefrom him/Nathaniel Easton/ towards his giving in to the mutual chemistry and huge, huge mutual attraction.

She - Adele Morello is wild and a little bit out of control but also very much aware of her looks and her effect on men, she doesn't chase, men chase her and she needs it to feed her own very well hidden self depraved unlovable feelings came from her daddy issues.

So when Nathan shows no interest to continue the "sex drive" she is steered towards him like a bull on a red cape.
She becomes too persistant and imposing going all "fatal attraction" until Nathan gives in and dives into her, deep.

So yeah, the sex is awesome, like super hot awesome....

it's wild, gritty, dirty, passionate...and awesome, did I say that already?

the danger of being caught is lingering in the air and around them BUT that is not the only thing author focuses on, the author here actually tries to go deeper into the selfs - questioning and the guilt trip from the past implementing the burden of both through Nathan's character.

But it wasn't strongly performed...I kinda missed that vibe.

their differences lead into a fight and then the stagnation, and than he says the hurtul words and they separate for a week...to think, to cool off, to make room for groveling that Nathan does really well...and then they reach a HEA.

All and all, the sex was fantabulous, the emotions were a nice try...but surprisingly this time I needed more danger, more of the forbidden

tsk, tsk, man, we women are never, ever satisfied fully...*shrugs*

yeah, we are funny like that!

Oh Alex, Alex, Alex. Where did you come from?? Why did it take you this long to deliver us this masterpiece. Yes. A masterpiece. This was not just a book about some of the hottest, sexiest, raw, animalistic sex that I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Ohhh no. There is much, MUCH more to Tempting. There is a very compelling, emotional, perfectly plotted out story. Beautifully heartbreaking at times. So much depth, and detail. It was like peeling layers off of my soul with each new chapter.

What I loved most, was something and someone, that I thought instantly I was going to hate. We have Adele. A 21 yr old college girl. Clearly with some issues. With that first chapter, she was written off in my head as missing a few screws. A bitch. Manipulative. As it turned out, I was the one with the issue. I did something I normally don't do. I judged. And I judged her wrong. By the end of the book, she has become one of my new favorite female characters. I misjudged you, Adele. And I apologize. You are one of the strongest, bravest, fierce and passionate souls. It's refreshing to read of a female who is so god damn confident. But devastating to watch her doubt herself. Brilliant how she can come off as, dare I say, alpha??? But can also turn the tables with a smack on the ass. Yes. This is what great writing does. It pushes boundaries. Makes you think outside the box. And gives you a pleasure filled world of both of the best things. Give and take. And that they did.

Poor Nathan. My heart broke over and over for him. His sadness and grief became mine. His emotional turmoil, plagued by guilt...I just wanted to wash it all away from him. And thank god for Adele. His savior. But his demons aren't the only things that he keeps fighting. There's the issue of dating his student. Yes. Professor Easton tries really really hard. This is not your typical student/teacher romance. I know for some of you readers, this is a hard limit when it comes to books. But I can assure you, it's written brilliantly. With care and thought. And when I say to trust me...well, you're going to have to do just that. Beyond Nathan's grief, there is a very sexy, dominant, caring ( he bought her a jacket!!!!! *swoons*) and quite the dirty talker. Ohhh Prof. Easton. Please bend me over your desk and...ahem. I kid I kid!!! Kinda.

This is all I'm going to say about this book. I want you to experience all the things that I did. I don't want to take that away from you. I will say this. I am completely blown away by the writing. It's impressive as hell. It's hard to comprehend that this is Alex Lucian's first book. Because it is THAT good!! It's too good. Alex's writing makes it seem like this is something he/she has been doing for a long time. It's impressive as hell. Alex Lucian just set the bar for newbie authors. And this has me excited for the things to come. If you haven't read Tempting yet, you'd be insane not to. So yes, 1-click the hell out if it. Prof. Easton will reward you with gold stars for being obedient.

It's books like this that bring me back to student/teacher stories over and over again. This book stands out amongst the others because the writing, the story and the characters were beautiful. These two people lacking simple affection from the people supposed to love them the most. There was a bit of push and pull, a lot of hot sex and no unnecessary love triangles. All that produced a winner. I loved it and I especially loved Nathaniel (and the wall sex scene during the party! Oh boy!)

"I think that hug, that simple circle of arms, moved me more than any of our previous exchanges. And the terror of that realization knocked down one of the brinks that I'd set down years ago to barricade my heart."

"That quietly spoken admission made me want to beat my chest and howl out into the world. I was making her feel this way. I was taking this untamed, savage being, this woman who could bring any man to his knees, and I was making her shudder and scream with pleasure."

this was one of the best student- professor stories that I have read. Thanks to my book buddy Jan for recommending this one. I devoured it :)

it is not your normal fluffy student/professor read. The characters were strong, had functioning brains. Nathan was a bad ass Professor who had secrets but he didnt consider he would love again until he met Adele. An innocent encounter in a bar led to a night of hot memorable sex......but what Nathan didnt realize was that Adele was a student in his creative writing class. What follows next is a combustion of minds, bodies and pursuit of a student who wanted more from her Professor.

For a debut novel it was remarkable - so looking forward to the continuation of this series and more of Nathan and Adele's story. No cliff-hanger :) but the first book of a duet.

It's been a while since I enjoyed reading a professor/student story that much.
Scorching hot and smut with a BIG PLUS: a solid story line.
Loved both MCs especially Adele. Strong and determined, she didn't give up until she had the professor on his knees. She was also quite funny and I caught myself LOLing with her a few times.
Finally, despite the HEA, it appears a book 2 will come out.

I don't know about this one, it's not really for me i don't think. The desperation from the heroine mixed with the over-aggressiveness from the hero, wasn't working for me. If i was the heroine and had a one night stand like that, i'd probably scream rape.

Perfection.

Yup, perfection. Where did Alex Lucian come from? Because holy balls, Alex is a word wizard!

Professor Easton,
Please bend me over your desk and fuck me until it hurts.
Sincerely, Adele Morello

Seriously, that's how this book opens. Um, yes please. And from there, this book is not just smut. Oh hell no. This book has depth. And makes you uncomfortable. And so turned on. Good god. I can't even begin to tell you how uncomfortable I was when I would be in the middle of some biting, scratching, kill me dead sex scene and my kid would interrupt me. Seriously child, WHAT DO YOU NEED?? MOMMY IS READING!

Okay, I've collected myself. I think.

So let's discuss Adele... holy shit this girl! I couldn't decide if she was crazy or a goddamn genius in her pursuit of Nathan. I mean, girl has balls. And despite the fact that she basically stalks the professor, she still seems to have integrity and backbone. Adele is just a girl who knows what she wants and goes after it. And once she finds that something that makes her FEEL, she can't let it go.

And Nathan. Dear sweet baby jesus in a manger, Nathan is fucking H.O.T. and haunted. And intelligent. And sweet. And he fucks like he's on fire. Good lord people, I want a Nathan for my very own. I promise to keep him in my pocket and take good care of him. And love him every day.

I may have lost my mind a little over Nathan. He's just... so... yeah. No words to accurately describe how I feel about Nathan.

So basically, I loved this book. I think everyone should read it. It's going on my favorite of 2015 list. Mark my words, friends, Alex Lucian just set my pants on fire. And I'm not even sorry.

I love a student teacher story. This reminded me in some ways of Unteachable in its style. She's his student but she's sassy and has attitude, she's quite the predator at the start, but he can't resist her.

The smut in this deserves a special mention, it's shit hot, fabulous crackling sexual tension and some angry, biting, snarling, feral sex. I loved it.

Complete story, although it continues in book 3 of this series, there's no cliffhanger. Recommended.

The female is too aggressive and didn't have self-respect. Beyond help. Never gonna change. Aside her strain relationship with her family, she's more fucked up. She lowered herself with chasing after someone so desperately because her one night stand was awesome? Crap.

The male is too weak and emotionally unstable. For his age, he couldn't protect himself being harassed by his own student. He's in denial in between want her or despise her. I hated his passive-aggressive attitude.

Lord, help me! So much bullshit flying around. Both of them need to look for professional help. Definitely not for me.

*Oh wait I just realized this will be a series? Hmm... If the new characters better than this, I will try it again.*

This is a taboo love story among a teacher and a student, Nathaniel and Adele.

The story is well written and full of anticipation. The plot has an emotional depth that touched me in an unexpected way. Ms. Lucian wrote a passionate, forbidden relationship full of emotion! There were no surprises or twists that intensified the story but there weren’t needed since they were so many emotions that did the work!

Adele is a strong young woman who is after her dream. I like how she changed during the story. Ideals are fantastic but not always realistic and I enjoyed her maturity in a way.

Nathaniel isn’t my kind of guy. Although I enjoyed his passion and tension, I was kind of annoyed by his push and pull.

One of my favourite part of this book was the messages/emails. I like written speech and I totally love brilliant written speech! The intimate scenes were full of chemistry and passion without feeling inappropriate! Fantastically written!

The end of the story was really nice! There was no cliff-hanger and I was happy about it.

I definitely recommend this book to everyone who love a teacher-student love story with emotional depth!

Too much sex scenes, I need more details, about their family and their interactions,
I need more about the teaching, the class, their lives outside their relationship
I need more backgrounds.
I like the emotions, I like the story just fine, but prefer if the heroine doesn't act too slutty and being a bitchy to her sister.

Like many, I am an absolute sucker for teacher/student romances. You could possibly say that it’s my favorite theme. I have read a bunch, trust me. Not many have kept my rapid attention, there’s been a lot of eye rolling, and DNFing. But Tempting completely hit the spot for me. I literally finished it in less than a day, even waking up WAY early before work so I could keep reading Adele and Nathan’s story.

The book completely got me within the first chapter. I knew right then I could not put it down! The writing was another thing that kept my attention as it was fantastic alas from a debut author.

Adele seeks out her professor, Mr. Easton at a bar and quite successfully seduces him. It’s not until the next class does he realize who he bedded when she comes fully-armed with a souvenir from their tryst. I know…she’s beyond ballsy and I love it. Adele with all her tenacity eventually wears him down and they blur the lines between professor and student. Though there are many obstacles that come in to play and eventually there is some heartache along the way.

This book was pretty raw, with Nathan’s past guilt, Adele’s no-holds barred attitude, and the almost-animalistic sex they have. Like I said, this book had me engaged the entire time I was reading it and was bummed when I finished. Thankfully, we have another book in this series (don’t worry, there is no cliffhanger) and I hope it explores Adele and Nathan as a couple more than just professor/student.

Give me a student/teacher story, and I’ll put it to the top of my list.

Give me this story, and it’s deviation from the norm would have me captivated no less.

Thoroughly loved this debut offering. Strong story, with equally strong characters. Adele completely grew on me, once I’d become accustomed to her crazy. Nathan was a wordsmith, who refurbished his tortured heart once he met Adele.

Last chapter didn’t completely close the door for me, but hey, there’s another one to add to their story, along with Leo’s too..

Teacher/student and a 180 compared to other books I've read in this field.......Bloody hell I wasn't expecting that.
Adele has an agenda and bows down to no one, she's the one in control baby. Then along came Professor Easton and wham bam thank you ma'am here we go!
I honestly didn't like Adele to begin with which was where I get my 180 from cuz you would think the H would have taken the popular cringe factor being older.....you with me? For a gal who loves the damsel books I was refreshingly blown away

Saw the cover..meh...it didn't grab me. (yes, I shamefully confess that I am a cover whore). Read the blurb again and... decided to give it a go.

Shit, I'm so pissed off at myself for putting off this reading. I freaking loved it. Tempting is one of the best student/teacher hot romances I've come across in a long time. (If you are a fan of the Gabriel series - this is a must)!

Once starting, I could not put it down until the bitter end, which was around 3m and I was all bleary eyed. It's was worth the lack of sleep. It's smutty. It's sexy. It's captivating with just the right amount of drama and angst. Prof Nathan rocked my world (and ticked me off at times) but I loved him. I'm an instant fan of this author's writing and can not wait for more.

Professor Easton,
Please bend me over your desk and fuck me until it hurts.
Sincerely, Adele Morello

I was in a bit of funk after inhaling my last read, I still craved something hot, full of sex and a dirty talking alpha, hello Professor Easton! This isn't just a Professor/Student fuckfest (well ok... but there is also a solid plot line to go with the fuckfest).

This book had me gripped from the beginning, there are some well written teacher/student romances and some really bad porn script DNF reads, but this book had me engaged the entire time. This is not your typical student/teacher romance which is a taboo read for some ladies, this book deals with Nathan's struggles of dating his student, his feelings for her and the emotions she brings out in him, emotions that he'd locked away, the complications and damage it could do for not just his career and the Easton name but Adele's future.

Adele Morello is super hot, she know's what she wants and stalks it until it's hers and 'IT' is Professor Nathan Easton. She's also a funny, loveable character, with daddy issues due to her choice of university major in creative writing, this is all revealed in the book, the situation impacts her financially, faux leather jacket, thread bare rug, fridge with no food, but this all makes her the determined strong willed young lady she is.

Nathan Easton is a widower with a lot of guilt on his shoulders, he's abstained from sex for 4 years until that fateful night when he went to a club, meet a girl, had the most amazing night of animalistic sex, she'd have bruises to remind her for days, it made him FEEL. He left her place only knowing her name, he wasn't sure if he even had her real name, he didn't take a number, he didn't expect to see her again, until he walked into his lecture and saw Add sitting front and centre.

“We hadn't exchanged phone numbers, just saliva.”

I didn't realise until after I'd finished reading Tempting that this was Alex's first published book, fantastically written, can't wait to read more from you <3

When i choose to read unethical romances, specifically professor-student ones, i crave the level of sexual tension and chemistry that this book had. The FMC who relentlessly pursues the mmc and doesn't hold back any seductive punches, makes the raw unadulterated lust ooze out of the words from every angle.

Also, grovel with literally the man on his knees??? Sir, i don't think you realise how rare you are.

Well another new author blew me away with the impeccable
writing and the flawed beautiful characters. Tempting was
one of those books you devour each chapter. Nathan and Adele's
romance although forbidden was unique and written that you almost don't even realize why they should not be together.

Young, smart, beautiful Adele bulldozed her way right into
Nathan's life with her I get what I want attitude which Nathan so needs. Nathan is so incredibly sexy and vulnerable with his past haunting him struggles with whats right and wrong with what the feel for each other.

A journey that you read with each passing chapter, decisions
to be made, heartbreaking scenes and incredible sex makes this
book a must read. I loved the journey that this author gave us.
This book reaches into your heart and gives you a story that was
a five star!

With two more books on the horizon after reading Tempting,
Alex Lucian books will be a MUST READ!

Before I start my review I must say I didn't expect this to be as good as it was. As a blogger I've read quite a few teacher student reads. This is certainly one of my favourite to date.

Nathan is a professor. He's feeling raw pain from his past. One night to escape from the pain he finds himself in a club where he meets Adele. Let's just say their roller coaster of a story starts from here.

I love how Nathan comes across as such a cool and calm guy until Adele is in his head. He can't seem to forget her.

Adele has her own problems to deal with. I love her friend Leo and is so happy he's getting his own book.

Although this is about a taboo subject I loved it. The storyline was unpredictable and gripping. I found myself reading this in one sitting. The sex scenes are hot.

Although this is a standalone I'm super happy to see we are going to get more of Nathan and Adeles story.

Well done to the author on a superb debut novel.
