Her nightmares escalate in intensity and violence until she sttempts to destroy the work for the sake of her sanity.

Beautifully written, yet utterly terrifying story. This book keeps you off kilter and disoriented, allowing you to experience the story much in the same way the characters are experiencing their circumstances. While definitely in the horror genre, this book is written with literary beauty, romance, and drama. I highly recommend this read to any serious horror fan.

Review of A FRACTURED CONJURING

I stand in awe of the intellect, the creative imagination, that wrote this novel. This book functions on so many levels--less a vast cast of characters than a multiplicity of levels per character. I read several in-depth reviews before beginning it, and early on in my reading of it, and I am far from being the only reader awestruck. What an imagination is this! Mine feels as if it has been stretched like salt water taffy, then popped back into place, over and over again. Certainly I end the book a different creature than when I had begun it.

Whether you choose to view this story as the chronicle of a descent into madness, or as reincarnation come to life, or as demonic inhabitation, I think that you will not be able to walk away from A FRACTURED CONJURING unchanged. I think the novel should be accompanied by a neon warning label:
"Caution: Your sanity, character, emotions, soul, and spirit will all be supremely rocked and challenged should you take up the concept of reading this novel."

I really felt for Chloe she had an awful childhood and her adult life doesn't seem much better, this is a great read. Very spooky in places and keeps you guessing all the time. The ending is a cracker I certainly didn't guess the twist...!

A Fractured Conjuring is a very well written novel of physiological horror. In this story you meet an author named Chloe who had a traumatic childhood. She is older now and seems to have a good handle on life but then nightmares start and she begins writing things that tell of the frailty of her mind. The writer does a very poetic job of writing from her POV in her frail state. I don't want to tell too much for fear of spoilers. But besides the disturbing aspects of Chloe's mind there is also another horror that awaits on the sidelines. This story isn't for faint of heart but what I love about physiological horror is that there is a realism to it that makes it more frightening than any Big Foot.
