About the author

Michael Donhauser grew up in Liechtenstein and lives in Vienna. He has been publishing prose, poetry, and essays to critical acclaim since 1986. He has also translated Rimbaud and Francis Ponge into German. His first book in English, Of Things (Von den Dingen), was published by Burning Deck Press in 2016. Other recent books include Ich habe lange nicht doch nur an Dich gedacht (2005), Schönste Lieder (2007), Nahe der Neige(2009), Variationen in Prosa. Variationen im März (2013), and Waldwand. Eine Paraphrase (2016). His most recent honors are the “Lyrikpreis Meran (2004), “Ernst-Jandl-Preis” (2005), and “Georg-Trakl-Preis für Lyrik” (2009).
