Somewhere In Between
When you're sixteen, you don't always see what-or who-is right in front of you. Then something unimaginable happens to someone who means the world to you, and your vision shifts and clears. And sometimes, just sometimes, you realise the one you was in front of you the whole time really is the whole world to you.
High school sophomores, Elliott Wade and Gemma Grady are best friends. Though she hides it, Gemma has a crush on Elliott. One night in August, while at the carnival, Elliott spots popular cheerleader Trisha Scott and it's like love at first sight. From that moment on, all Elliott thinks about or talks about, much to all his friend's, but especially Gemma's dismay, is Trisha.
As homecoming arrives, Elliott decides to finally "make his move" to win Trisha's affections. Not wanting to see her best friend and crush pine after another, Gemma lies about her plans for the dance, which leads to dire consequences.
Attacked by unknown assailants, and rescued by Elliott himself, Gemma, with Elliott's help, must learn to navigate a new world where pain and fear are at every corner, trust is not easily given, rumor is everywhere, and relationships are tested.
Somewhere In Between is a coming of age story of the trials of high school in the midst of a real life struggle, and maybe, just maybe be able to find a real happily ever after.

What an amazing book

Somewhere In Between is a story of the journey of two teens trying to navigate friendship, life and high school. When homecoming night takes joy to tragedy, the two teens must now navigate a world of heartache, loss of innocence, and overcoming an occurrence neither ever thought would happen. Throw in the drama of high school and the fight against bullies and you get a compelling coming of age story where love shines through.
