I need book 2 ASAP!! I have a love / hate relationship with books (and TV shows) that end in cliffhangers, but it worked for this book.
It left you wanting to know so much more, but also left so many unanswered questions.
So the cover for this book got me! As did the circus theme, who doesn’t love the circus?
And I am glad that I requested this book! It was fun and interesting read, with fun characters.
The story started off slow but once it picked up it was full of twist and turns that left you guessing.
I would love to hear more about the circus, its origins, the curse and what happened 20 years ago! Hopefully that will come up throughout the series. Which I definitely will be reading the rest of and of course more of Sarah Noffke's books in general!
What I liked.
The cliffhanger ending!! Cliffhangers kill me, but I love them.
The circus in general! The world building in this book was great! As were the characters, I loved meeting the weird and wonderful cast of The Vagabond Circus.
What I disliked.
Finley and his hidden agenda! While Finley’s reason for joining the circus is hinted at throughout the book, I feel like it is dragged out and was quite irritating. As was his attitude to the other members of the circus.

I have always loved the circus...MINUS the clowns...but there was no way getting around it...until Vagabond! ;) NO CLOWNS (this pleased me)
Vagabond was beautiful...you could feel the mystery and beauty in each act.
It is not like any other circus you have experienced and the bond between the crew is like none other. The show must go on??? In your dreams ;)
I would very much enjoy running away from home to join the circus IF...it was the Vagabond Circus!

Utterly fantastic
I loved this book...from page 1 there was just something that had me spellbinding trapped in this book. When I got about halfway through, I started to suspect a certain character but could never put my finger on why. This author, I don't know why it how she managed to do it but seriously a fantastic book and I hope to.soon read the rest of the series.

That was...well...unexpected.
At first, I was thinking bad things, it's true. The start was kind of hard to get into and the fact that the story was about a circus where the performers have magical powers made me feel uncomfortable because I thought I would have to compare it to Night Circus, a book I love, and I really didn't want this to happen. It didn't happen though.
What happened instead was an amazing ride, a story full of beauty and mystery, the story of a girl who loved a boy who needed her to remind him of who he was and another who needed her to find who he was. It was a story of a circus full of people that shared a special bond, not the one of people who just work together, no matter if they like each other or not but the one of people who are tied in the same story with the red string of fate, a fate they cannot escape.
It was a story of friendship, the friendship, like the one of Zuma and Jasmine. It was also a story about family, how it isn't always blood as most performers found their real family inside the circus. I also have to say it was a story of love, a love triangle (which honestly pissed me off a little because I don't really like love triangles) and romance, a story of soul mates. But it mostly was a story of hope and magic beyond anything, the one of pure feelings, of words spoken from the bottom of the heart.
My favorite characters were Finley and Dave. (When I finish this review, I'll go in my room and sob). I did not like Zuma, that's because love triangles annoy me. I did like Jack though, and Jasmine and Titus and everyone else. I loved the idea of Dream Travelers and their magical powers. If I had to choose, I'd choose super speed probably, Finley's powers. I was really intrigued by the power of intention but, well, apparently it's really bad so no, I wouldn't want it.
I liked the descriptions a lot, they were simple but full of meaning. What I loved the most was the setting and the quotes. All these quotes about hope and creativity and real feelings, the hidden magic of the world, all these did something to me. They made me dream. They made me dream like Middlings like me do but they also made me hope for something better. Because they inspired me.
Overall, I loved this book, it's the first of this author I read and I really want to check more of her worlds out. Let's hope I will have the chance to.
The Vagabond Circus will stay in my mind until then

An incredibly enchanting, fantastical, magical world! This is an amazing story where the opening lines will suck you in and hold you tight until the very end. Welcome to the Vagabond Circus! Where nothing is what it seems, yet everything is. The owner of Vagabond Circus has been recruiting Dream Travelers for it’s circus for many years. Dream Travelers are perfect for this as they have extra abilities that actually allow them to do the things in the circus that is usually all smoke and mirrors. Their purpose is to make people happy. Things aren’t going too well with the circus financially but the next big thing falls in their lap. Finley comes to join the circus but has ulterior motives for joining. Finley is an acrobat and is paired with Zuma for the new act. They both have a strange and strong connection with each other. However, there are rules at this circus and no relationships between crew members is one of them. This has been hard for many of the members of the circus...but the show must go on! You follow many of the characters in the circus...The Ringmaster, his assistant, other acrobats and performers. There are many things going on and the author does an insanely great job of keeping everything straight and keeping you right in the middle of it all. One night a tragedy occurs and Finley finds himself right in the middle of the chaos and giving away some of his deepest darkest secrets in the process. You never know what is real and who you can trust. I had many thoughts on the way the story was going to go but the twist at the end will leave you speechless.

Beautiful, mesmerising and magical – all words to describe the Vagabond Circus and this book! Originally I was a little worried because it didn’t have my favourite start (I felt disconnected from the characters that I also had a hard time growing to like even though I could understand their standpoint) but by the end I was dying for more. The damn kindle lied saying I had 10% left but it wasn't technically part of the story (it was actually an awesome-ly teasing sneak peek from the sequel plus other books). So it's a good thing that I have a lot more to look forward to from Sarah!
Suspended revolves around a group of Dream Travelers who are part of the thrilling Vagabond circus. This means that they’ve come from far and wide with different histories and different personalities that definitely stand out from the pages – they were unique. Finley especially, the newest (and somewhat unwelcome) edition was clouded in mystery and everything about him drew you in. There were so many hints along the way about his motivations that I’m dying to re-read it just to have those ‘aha!’ moments. Also after that ending I’m not ready to move on… I’ll be sitting here staring at the wonderful cover of Paralyzed until its release.
I can’t wait to see more interactions between Finley and Zuma. I can’t wait to find out more about the villain that has already sent shivers down my spine. I can’t wait for the emotional scenes bound to make my heart hurt. Basically I can’t wait for more in this fantastic series!

Those who experience the circus, taking it in and allowing themselves to be awed, have a richness built into their lives afterwards, almost like they’ve gained an extra day to their existence. Those who observe seem to have lost a day. They’re the ones who tear down sandcastles. They’re the ones who say clouds are just clouds when they are irrefutably in the shape of unicorns.
I always love circus cause it fascinated. This book tells the story about the dream travelers merged in vagabond circus family that move from one country to another country to do perform. The vagabond circus lead by the Ringmaster named Dave. He has a mission to inspire people. He wants to reach those who have lost the spark in their eyes, who lost souls with show them that magic exists and make them believe again. The dream travelers must stay in years to keep the show going and they really have talent. The talents are do the acrobatic, read mind and even do teleport. The Ringmaster already recruited many people in the circus that take the parts in the story.
I enjoyed reading about Finley and Zuma. How the Finley get attracted to her since the beginning and actually Zuma feel the same but didn’t want to admit it. I love the chemistry between them and how they both work together make an awesome performance.
Overall I love this book. Its exciting, well written included romance, fantasy and suspense.

I absolutely loved it!
The circus world was mesmerising. I wish there was a circus like that in real life! The characters were so good, and different and perplexing and I enjoyed reading about each one of them. I liked Dave from the beginning.
The chemistry between Finley and Zuma was out of this world! I seriously couldn't get enough of it. And Finley, oh Finley! He was so mysterious, and interesting and drop dead gorgeous! Dare I say it that he was almost as good as Aiden???? (shocking I know!!!!) It goes without saying that I didn't like Jack much, for obvious reasons! The suspense was killing me all through the book and the revelations of what was actually going on were so intriguing. Can't wait to see what happens next. ;)

4.5, but I'll round up because I really admire Noffke's writing and creativity. Like the Lucidites and Reverians series, Suspended does feature an intriguing plot and fascinating characters, and it does take place in the Dream Traveler world, but the similarities end there. This book is quite a bit darker, and everything is shrouded in mystery.
Plot:
The Vagabond Circus is a group of Dream Travelers who use their talents to bring magic to the lives of their audience members. The circus is entertaining, but the ringleader feels that there is something missing. That changes when Finley joins the group as an acrobat. In addition to his presence kind of throwing everyone off balance, his arrival coincides with some strange and threatening events.
Characters:
The people of the Vagabond Circus kind of reminded me of the characters in Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows. They are not flawless, and you know that something in their past deeply affected them, but it takes a little while to figure out what made them the way they are in the present.
While many people appear in the book, the four main characters are Finley, the misunderstood loner (my favorite stereotype); Zuma, who comes across as emotionally numb but actually feels very deeply; Jack, the overachiever with an inferiority complex, and Dave, the glue that binds everyone together with his ability to see the best in people. The way these characters -- who are all so different -- interact with each other is part of what makes the book so compelling.
We don't find out until the end of the book who Suspended's villain is, and even then, we learn that the character is just a minion of the evil mastermind we have yet to meet.
Writing:
One of the things I love about Noffke's books is that they are so well-edited. I only found a couple of typos, and I was reading a pre-release copy. I love clean writing because it means that I can focus more on the story at hand rather than the errors on the page. I will say that as hard as I focused on the mystery Noffke presented, the book was totally unpredictable; every time I thought I knew what would happen, I was quickly proven wrong. In terms of content, there was little to no language or violence, and there were no sexual references, so I'd give it a PG.
The Bottom Line:
Suspended is one of those books you start reading and all of a sudden you're done and left wanting more. The fact that the book ends on of a cliffhanger leaves you that much more desperate. Fortunately, the next book comes out in a little over a month, so we don't have to wait too long to see what happens next.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
I am a huge fan of the author and would pretty read anything she writes. I was thrilled when given the opportunity to read this early. Let's first start with the cover. It is eye catching and almost hypnotic. The colors are perfect and I will be adding this to bookshelf when it comes out. Now for the story.
The circus is a magically setting and is very intriguing. I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to be handled but I knew it was going to be great and it was. The setting was described so well you could smell the peanuts and hear the crowd erupting. Now the characters were fantastic. Each one had a different quality that became endearing as the story went on. My heart swelled and broke during each interaction and I could feel the emotions it invoked inside of me. It was hard to pick a favorite character but I did (just don't tell the others). My favorite is David. He has such goodness in his heart that it was hard not to have general affection for him. My favorite scene was between Finley, David, Zuma, and Titus when Finley got to pick his last name. I'm not sure why but I laughed and my heart broke at the same time. The Dream Travelers concept is unique and I can't get enough of it. I could read about it all the time. I will be buying this on release day and gifting it to a few friends. I would recommend this book to any one who wants to believe in magic again.
I am a huge fan of the author and would pretty read anything she writes. I was thrilled when given the opportunity to read this early. Let's first start with the cover. It is eye catching and almost hypnotic. The colors are perfect and I will be adding this to bookshelf when it comes out. Now for the story.
The circus is a magically setting and is very intriguing. I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to be handled but I knew it was going to be great and it was. The setting was described so well you could smell the peanuts and hear the crowd erupting. Now the characters were fantastic. Each one had a different quality that became endearing as the story went on. My heart swelled and broke during each interaction and I could feel the emotions it invoked inside of me. It was hard to pick a favorite character but I did (just don't tell the others). My favorite is David. He has such goodness in his heart that it was hard not to have general affection for him. My favorite scene was between Finley, David, Zuma, and Titus when Finley got to pick his last name. I'm not sure why but I laughed and my heart broke at the same time. The Dream Travelers concept is unique and I can't get enough of it. I could read about it all the time. I will be buying this on release day and gifting it to a few friends. I would recommend this book to any one who wants to believe in magic again.

It took me a while to get into this book because it started out so slow. I had to stop reading and read other books first until I picked this up again. I really thought this would be a DNF but it's a good thing that I stopped at a good chapter, right when things were picking up. Once you get into the story, you'll be hooked and not want to put it down. The characters will make you curious, the Vagabond Circus will enchant you.
However, I saw the twist coming from a mile away. It didn't really shock me but it confirmed my suspicions. If you're looking for a fast read, I highly recommend this book/series. :)

This was a fun read! I’ve never read anything about the circus and wasn’t sure I’d like it. But Sarah Noffke created a wonderful world of fantasy and circus acts. This is my second book from this author and I WANT MORE! She is very generous in developing characters, and there are quite a few in this book. Her characters really come alive on the page and she gives them depth, making us really connect with them. I will warn you though, be prepared to read book two right away. This one ends abruptly at a point where you’re yelling “No, but what happens to….” At least the whole series is already available.

this book was ok. it started off a bit slow but it got better as you got more into it. i liked the dream travlers within the circus as i thought that it was different which brung more of a magic show to a circus. i love the world building within the book and how the plot was full of twist.

How in the effing multiverse are you doing it Ms. Noffke??? Ho do you do it every time? How do you scramble my brains?
I fell so completely into this story. It enveloped me and didn't want to let go, and then it ended. And I was like, WHATTTTT? Not again. Why does she always stop it there, when I need it the most???
I don't know where to start. The circus. OMG. The circus. I've only been a few times but I always respected the dedication those performers have to their craft and reading this book solidified my perception so much more. How much thought and perseverance is invested in every act, so that we, the spectators, have a laugh or a gasp or a giggle or the most fearsome awe.
I have read all of the author's books and I have to say I really see the growth as a writer with every new story. This was by far the most complex of all the dream traveler adventures. And even if it is in the same universe as all the other books, this was new and standing on its own. The intricate personalities of each and every character blew me away. They really had a voice of their own in my head. I have noticed that this is something Ms. Noffke is amazing at, every character in every book is different. You just couldn't mistake them or say it is a name swap. No. They are unique.
There was so much magic and mystery in the story, I was literally on the edge of my seat waiting for the inevitable to happen. We had so many clues, so many snippets thrown throughout the book. But I still felt blindsided. I felt helpless to be a witness to the plot unraveling before my eyes with each word read. Yes, I am mesmerized.
Finley, one of the most interesting and intriguing male characters out there. He has so many facets to him. Like a diamond. Whatever angle you look at him, you find another thing to draw your attention, another ray that sparkles differently. I loved him with my very being. I felt for him so much. And I am hoping there are big and amazing things in his future, if there ever was somebody that deserved to be happy it is him.
Zuma, oh wow, first I had to get beyond the name. You see, there was a game named Zuma with a marbles shooting frog. And every time her name was mentioned I would think about that and find it hilarious. But then the story progressed and I learned what a perfectly shaped character she was. There was a weight on her small shoulders, a responsibility in her demeanor and a take charge attitude that endeared her to me. But I hope she is more forgiving then she lets on because I need that of her for the next book.
One of the characters that I loved even if they didn't have much "screen time" was Sunshine, OMG she couldn't be more morose if she was named Gloomy. She was very insightful with her empathy gift and I loved that she gave good advice.
Dave, the master of ceremonies. I just don't think there ever was a more admirable character. He is what every man should aspire to be. I loved him so much. And I loved how he drove Titus mad with his decisions.
Now, the villain, he was just barely mentioned but I could feel it in my bones what a truly evil character that nightmare of a man is. I can't wait to see him brought down.
When Ms. Noffke creates an evil mastermind, she just doesn't joke around. There is no romanticizing it. She doesn't dress it up. She just spits him in your face and makes you tremble at the thought that maybe such terrors are real, are next to you, are after you, stalk you from behind the curtain (wait, that was my three year old daughter playing hide-and-seek). Anyway, you get my drift. You are absolutely, piss your pants terrified and peek at your book from the cornet of your eyes afraid it's going to jump out of there and strangle you or something. I'm thinking I should read these books with a baseball bat next to me in the future. But then my husband will think I'm crazier than I lead on.
Am I overreacting? Hmmm, no, I don't think I am. Those evil bastards really get me, every time.
And now after finishing this book, I am again left adrift at the mercy of Ms. Noffke's keyboard. I pray to all the Gods there are out there that you don't spill your coffee on it and brake it. Please, if there is a Keyboard God, don't let her ruin it, not now!

This was a book that takes you away to the magical side of a Circus.
It is a beautifully described world involving a Circus and within the many acts the performers put on. As these are not your normal performers they are dream travelers with special gifts. The creativity put into the descriptions of each characters performance are beautiful.
This book is inline with Sarah Noffke's other Dream Traveler Series. As in they have similar descriptions for us average humans the 'middlings' and the travelers experience the same sensations when dream traveling and are restricted with free traveling - but this is a completely different series! I do secretly hope that maybe the books all intertwine somewhere down the track but also not meaning that you have to read them all but it would be nice to see other characters pop into a few scenes too.
It was an intriguing story and I quite enjoyed the Ring Master's, Dave, character a lot, I felt that he was trying to achieve a family of his own through the orphans he adopted for the circus, and such loneliness could be felt from his passages.
I did feel quite a bit of frustration towards the character Finley, the hidden reason as to why he wanted to join the Vagabond circus seems to be drawn out and this gives it a very slow feel to read. Also his character was so 'hot' and 'cold' towards others it started to bug me.
It was nice to meet a lot of different characters and see what gifts and magic they brought to the show.
There are still a lot of questions unanswered!
Over all this would be a 3.75 star read for me

I like the fact that i know what the general plot of a book is , but in this one i have no idea. When i Start reading it i know it was about a circus but thats all, and i would have love to know more in the beggining.
The story starts real slow, but it really gets better in the middle of the book, and let me say that some of the parts where the author describes the acts of the circus, are the best ones for me. I can see them in my mind and it makes me want to go and see the show for myshelf.
I was expecting some connection with the other series of the dream travellers but there is nome, and that is ok. The characters i like them but not love them.... I think i don't really agreed with some of their doings like

The name Suspended alone leaves the reader knowing they are in for a wild ride. Sarah Noffke has taken her world of dreamer travelers to new heights by extending the series into the elusive world of the circus. Often the setting for misfits that have been cast-off from society, the Vagabond Circus lives up to it's name of exclusivity to employ the rejects of both the Dreamer Walker and Middling world. Cocooned in their safe environment, but threatened by economic instability, they are forced to take in a new performer who will rock the foundation of the group. Colorful, exciting, with a dash of the promised romance, Suspended will leave you hanging in the end, waiting for the coming sequel.

I just finished reading Suspended! I can't wait to get the next 2 books in the series! Well written with hints of romance, intrigue, suspense, circus fantasy, dream traveling and much more! It kept me captivated until the end. I became attached to the characters within the book. This book is simply delightful.

COME ONE COME ALL to the exciting thrilling magical world of the Vagabond Circus. These highflying, death defying acts will amaze you. This is where everything you see you think is magic but in reality is real because of the extra ordinary abilities of the performers. They will make you believe no matter what age you are. You see they are Dream Travelers with the ability to read minds, teleport, have super speed, super strength, pyrokenetic and much more. However, like most things it looks great from the outside but something is going down behind the scenes.
Zuma, Jaz and Jack make up the perfect acrobatic team. They know each other well and get along great together. Zuma and Jack even flirt here and there but would never cross the line and break the rule of dating.
Everything at the circus was running smoothly, everyone was getting along and worked well together. Things were good even and yes Dr. Dave Raydon, founder and ringmaster of Vagabond Circus, may have needed to find a way to gain more revenue which they thought they found with Finley. When Finley joined the act it broke up the perfect 3 sum acrobatic group. Even though the new act was great there was tension amongst the acrobats an uneasiness in the air things were happening that never occurred before Finley came to the circus.
I enjoyed getting to know all these new characters and watching Zuma, Jack, Jaz and Finley’s interactions. Finley and Zuma trying to do their job and fight the connection they have. The end gutted me to have the feeling things are going great for everyone and then WOW what just happened! Yeap that is the feeling I cannot believe this is happing right now and what will happen next.
I am enjoying the world that Sarah Noffke has pulled me into. I need the next book to know what is going to happen, what is in store for the circus and what Jack, Zuma and Finley are up to. This is an amazing magical thrilling start to a series!

There’s no excuse for talented people to trudge through life. And if we weigh down our children, the very source that makes the stars blaze in the sky, then we may wake to realize we’ve lost something irretrievable.”

In reading this book , I found it was a great book and as it got interesting it was even run by dream travelers. In which there were many different strange events that would happen during the circus. As the circus was hiding different items from the people. In a way that the people that preformed were dream travelers.
When the Vagabound Circus traveled and preform it was due to helping the lost or lonely dream travels in the magic world.
When reading this book, I found that is was more in depth and took dream travelers to a new level. To a new and safe environment and area. The book is also about the paranormal in different ways and it is based through a circus setting and can be intriguing from start to the end of the book. It is also a page turner.
In switching to this type of reading about dream walkers is great thing and getting to know what the paranormal is like out there. The characters in the book are dream travelers and performer and some them are in their homeland when they preform.
Over all great book and I am looking forward to the next book as I am familiar with her book and is a Sarah is great writer. This is a review in exchange in receiving the book free to read.

Suspended perfectly describes this one. I felt like I was walking the tight rope reading this. Not quite sure which way to turn. One false move and you fall. I am in utter awe over this one. Like Zuma this author displays style and grace with her writing.
This book follows The Vagabond Circus. We meet a very intriguing group of characters. Like Noffke's other books, it involves Dream Travelers. Finley our mysterious new comer rattles up a rather stoic emotionless Zuma. His presence is one of arrogance and at the same time self doubt. Zuma is self described as "Stone". Each of these characters posses incredible gifts but become magically together. Their chemistry is undoubtedly part of the authors magic.
Shrouded in darkness, this page turner will keep you intrigued from page one.

Suspended was a fantastic read, and it went by in a blur (which was both sad and great)! I love Sarah Noffke’s writing and characters. This story was extremely unique. Suspended was mysterious (especially Finley) and fun. I completely lost myself and ran away with the Vagabond Circus. I wish it was real so I could go to it and get my mind blown by the performances. I loved the characters, especially the girl of stone and Finley. Finley had a lot of character growth and I love that in a book. And that ending ... weoowho! Thank you Sarah for a fantastic and lovely read!

Sarah Noffke has written a brilliant and exciting book ‘Suspended’ it gyre within Vagabond traveling circus. They are unlike any other circus, this one is magical and they aim to the skeptics, and their goal is to bring magic into their lives and that magic thrives by the Dream Travelers. Suspended will keep you on the edge of your seat, it will put you in suspense, with the mystery and dupery.
The characters each have a different ability to bring to the circus, each individual has a marvelous personality to them. There is no doubt that Sarah Noffke has put a lot of effort into this book and to the details to each character.

Another awesome work from Noffke. Great to see the POV change from her earlier works. The Vagabond Circus is truly a magical place. With a motley crew of characters, Noffke finds a way to give each a unique voice and personality, created a rich tapestry upon which to spin her yarn. The "good guys" aren't perfect--which I love, and the "bad guys" are really bad. I've really come to enjoy the Dream Traveler universe Noffke has created and Suspended gives us another peak into their world. Highly recommended.

Enchanting! Suspended brought to life a fascinating concept of dream travellers living among us, and the prospect that the magic of the circus is real. The characters and their relationships were great, and the story was full of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.

I really enjoyed this book. It was an interesting take on a circus. I thought Finley was a bit moody but overall a good guy that acted like he was a tough guy. I was a bit disappointed at the end when she couldn't forgive him for not telling her what was going on.
Overall, this was a good book and I am looking forward to reading more at a later date.

Disclaimer: The following review is critical by nature, and will contain yelling and bouts of snarky remarks. And even before I finished reading this, I was not in a good mood at all. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Suspended...The first book in a series (Trilogy, really) by one Sarah Noffke. Since this author's review book was the oldest one I could find in my collection of to-read in my near-future books, it became the first one I read completely, this year. Gosh, how I wish it hadn't been...Is this a 'good-read'? Hell no! Could it have been a good read? Yeah, why not? Now, you might ask, “So, Mr. 'Snarky' Eberle! What fault or faults could you have possibly found wrong with such a great story!?” Well, I'll give you my answer, which is also my honest opinion. But a word of warning to Sarah's adoring fans, this reader's opinion is NOT going to be a good one, so buckle up and hang on...!
First off, the story had a fairly good start. It was a little on the rocky side, but I'll get back to this in a moment or two. It had a cast of what I thought were strong, likable characters. This means those men whom I had known, but wish I never knew hurt me and/or someone else emotionally close to me. Most of these cases of emotional and physical harm were acts of betrayal against me and/or my closest loved ones.

Those are among the most popular anime and manga IN THE WORLD, for those of you who aren't aware or into Japanese culture. Anywho, here's the first reference: I am not just a casual novelist or even a casual reader...I am a (Insert choice expletive here) Novel-Ninja!! And what I mean by this is the fact I can quote un-quote 'see underneath the underneath'. Now, you're probably asking me incredulously, “Dude!! Who do you think you are? The vile snake-man Orochimaru!?” To which I would snarkily reply, “No, I'm not Orochimaru. I can just see the hidden meanings behind the hidden meanings. And ya won't call me dude again if you know what's good for ya!!”
Okay, so where am I going with all this nonsense? And what faults do I find wrong with Suspended? Well, first and foremost, Noffke was telling (And maybe showing) a fairly good story...For a while. Though, as noted before, it had its less-desirable moments. But it still felt like a believable fantasy tale. Now, I've tried being kind, patient, understanding, and accepting of other people's opinions of my stories. But then, YOU, Noffke decided to jerk on the heartstrings of your fanbase, me included, and started RUINING your own story by having ALL the other protagonists turn against the main protagonist!! But NOT because he committed any felony or other heinous crime...But because the REAL antagonist FRAMED HIM FOR IT!!! And even after the story ended, this vile antagonist, whose name need not be mentioned pretty much GOT AWAY WITH FRAMING FINLEY!!!!!! (-_-)
Ohh, but was this enough sick satisfaction for you, Noffke!? HELL NO!! Next, you revealed ONLY during the last 10 chapters of your so-called 'story' which the already suspected protagonist, Finley is UNABLE TO READ AND WRITE!!!!! Gosh, you might as well have chalked him up (Down!!) even further, citing him as a dyslexic freak!! OHH, WAIT!!! Not only have YOU, Noffke used the word 'freak' more than 5 times throughout this book, you've even gone so far as to have two or more of your 'OCs' refer to Finley himself as a freak!! And Finley was ALREADY ashamed of himself due to his inability to read and write!! It was effing bad enough of you to have almost all of the circus performers and even Titus being suspicious of poor Finley from the get-go.
But not even all this was a sickly-satisfying ending for you, Noffke!! You had to throw in a bloody love triangle between Finley, his love interest, Zuma, and a guy who Finley had every right NEVER TO TRUST!!!!!! And you made everyone's unjust betrayal of poor Finley 30 times worse by having Zuma kiss the other acrobat guy and then flat-out REFUSE TO FORGIVE POOR FINLEY!!!!!!!! And yet he was willing to go with her to rescue her precious little douchebag J--- even after she very nearly spat in Finley's face!!! For him, this ending turns into a fate worse than death!! And he's just willing to accept it!? HUH!?!? (-_-) Yeah, there's a darn good reason why I called myself Novel-Ninja, who claims he can see underneath the underneath.
And after having read Suspended, I know a lot more about you, Noffke. And probably more than I'd like to know. My eyes are WIDE-OPEN. You may be a proud wife and parent, but I can plainly see how you modeled Finley...You based him on someone you know (Or had known) in your life. Not anyone in your family, mind you. Perhaps a so-called 'family-friend'? Or the son, cousin, or nephew of a family friend? Or was it 'just some old-flame' who told you he loved you, but because he was DIFFERENT, somehow-Meaning socially or neurologically, then you didn't love him back. Or you REFUSED TO ACCEPT HIM AS A FRIEND, OUTRIGHT!!!!!!!! Ya know, there's a word we neurodivergents use to describe NT-cattle such as you, who turn your pompous noses up at anyone who you suspect is even REMOTELY DIFFERENT from you or the rest of your NT-cattle friends. It's DISCRIMINATION!!!!!! And while I don't know how many others feel in regards to it, my Mom and I cannot and WILL NOT befriend ANYONE who pulls this kind of crap on us or anyone else!!!

I'm accusing Sarah Noffke of discriminating against someone she knows or had known in her life by writing him into one of her stories as the main protagonist, and then turning EVERY. OTHER. CHARACTER. Against him. By the grace of your God, it boils my blood...Oh, how it makes my blood boil hot as lava!! Oh, and by the way, not only have I caught multiple websites attempting to PIRATE my novel series, but I've also discovered a couple of hateful men on Reddit of all places, who dedicated a whole section of this toxic waste-site to naming and shaming my novel series AND ME as an author. Ohh, I'll get to you MFing S.O.B.s on Reddit...You'll be seeing a blog post with more details of this hateful naming and shaming REAL DAMN SOON...Your KARMA'S gonna spiral back around and it's gonna get ya but good!!!
But for all the rest of you loyal fans of Sarah, let me tell you something right now: I AM autistic, but I cannot be the Mr. Nice Guy which many have previously known me to be. Not anymore. Yet, I want everyone to know how important my writing is to me. They're not just a bunch of silly stories I haphazardly threw together in a couple months or even a couple of years. This is a HUGE project, which I've been painstakingly putting together, piece-by-piece for the last couple of decades, give or take a year or two. One fine day, I hope this will become something as big as or perhaps almost as big as Mr. Riordan’s The Kane Chronicles! But I won't count on it being able to hold a candle to the likes of J.K. Rowling or even Suzane Collins...Yet. Please believe me...Or don't. But I am not trying to sound like the smartest author of the 21st century. However, if any haters think they can write a better sci-fi/fantasy novel series than I've done, then they're welcome to give it a try. But if they do, then they'd better be ready to have their books be judged by my Mom and I once they're published. Because guess what? My Mom's a writer too!! Not a published author mind you, but she has many incredible and awesome ideas. Again, I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but my Mom is the most important person in the known universe to me. And most importantly of all, she loves me, respects me, and understands me like no one else ever has.
So, to wrap up this lengthy rant of mine, I'll only say this. I am not perfect. Far from it, in fact. But if I die in vain, alone and with no wife or children or anyone loving me, and any of YOU NT-cattle dishonor my last will, then I'll make sure YOUR KARMA bounces back and bites your buttocks REAL EFFING HARD!!!!!! Suspended...The first book in a series (Trilogy, really) by one Sarah Noffke. Since this author's review book was the oldest one I could find in my collection of to-read in my near-future books, it became the first one I read completely, this year. Gosh, how I wish it hadn't been...Is this a 'good-read'? Hell no! Could it have been a good read? Yeah, why not? Now, you might ask, “So, Mr. 'Snarky' Eberle! What fault or faults could you have possibly found wrong with such a great story!?” Well, I'll give you my answer, which is also my honest opinion. But a word of warning to Sarah's adoring fans, this reader's opinion is NOT going to be a good one, so buckle up and hang on...!
