This book was actually a quick read once I sat down to give it a chance. I really enjoyed the premise and it felt like there was a backstory there that I would love to delve into. I like the idea of a black female lead coming into her own powers. This book is a tease though. Just when it starts to get really interesting it cuts off with a teaser for a book two. So far I haven't been able to find it, but once I do, I will be reading it!
